The contemporary world is such that nations cannot do without one another. This is because some nations are connected by historical, cultural, social, economic, scientific and other forms of strategic interests. Nigeria and Chad over the years have a history of inter-state relations that pre-dates the coming of colonial masters. However, at the end of colonial rule, both states engaged in multi-dimensional forms of bilateral relations. This study, which adopts mixed method of research focuses on Nigeria-Chad economic relations. It reveals the forms of trade agreement between both states. The study highlights formal and informal nature of the trade amongst the two states and found that their history of diplomatic relations has promoted the national interest as well as the management of strategic over-lapping trade demands in both countries. This study used regression analysis and applied unit root, co-integration, chow test, stability test as well as Phillips-Perron (PP) and Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) to find-out that there is strong positive significant relationship between Nigeria-Chad trade and economic diplomacy within the period of 1970-2018 as well as reasonable stability in Nigerian trade and security relations with Chad in the presence of Boko Haram menace. The study recommends increased bilateral trade, border security as well as intelligence sharing on the dynamics of security threats to the relations of both states

About biological hip joint prostheses and the biomechanical behavior of implanted femur

Biofidel femur Models with finite elements were developed using a specific segmentation combination with computed tomography and solid modeling tools capable of representing bone physiology and structural behavior. These biofidel Finite Element Models (FEM) are used to evaluate the change in the physiological distribution of stress in the prosthesis femur and to evaluate the new design criteria for biopsy biopsy biopsy biopsy. The proposed belief patterns allowed us to adequately take into account the non-isotropic features of the proximal femoral epiphysis and isotropic behavior in diaphysis to explain the critical changes in stress distribution in a femur resected after the implantation of a traditional articular prosthesis. It has been shown that a wide range of femoral diaphyses is completely protected by rigid prostheses that significantly alter the physiological distribution of stress, which should guarantee healthy growth and bone regeneration

Direct kinematics of a manipulator with three mobilities

    Get PDF
In the industrial halls it is often necessary to handle large objects, with a large and large table, which have to be transported not over long distances but moved from one place to another, raised, then lowered to various levels, left or right. Such repeated manipulations of heavy and dangerous objects can be done only with the help of a manipulator, which can be a crane, a specially designed trolley, a complicated robot or a simple manipulator as is the case for the one presented in the paper. The paper briefly presents the kinematic study of a manipulator with three mobilities, which can be used both in industrial halls and in garages, depending on its suitably chosen constructive size, which at smaller dimensions can be handled very easily. This manipulator can carry large loads, thus easing the work of the human being and preventing it from major dangers that can occur during the transport of large pieces and a large mass

Success story of controlling COVID-19 in East Asia: lessons for South Asia

    Get PDF
The novel coronavirus is an issue of life and death. The main purpose of the study is to know the East Asian success story of controlling Covid-19 and identify which strategies could be a lesson for South Asia and to examine the influence of good governance on controlling COVID-19. Total daily cases of COVID-19 are collected from March 10 to June 15 for East Asian and March 4 to June 15 for South Asian countries. ARIMA forecasting, ADF test, stability test, and diagnostic tests are applied. The minimum value of AIC and BIC shows the appropriate model is ARIMA (0, 1, 1) for both regions. In the East and South Asian model, the coefficients of the constant term are -0.759451 and 198.0155, and coefficients of MA (1) are -0.715686 and -0.339701 respectively for both regions. It's significant at a 1% significance level and support our hypotheses that the total daily cases of COVID-19 decreasing into East Asia but increasing into South Asia and prove that the South Asia region has faced a lot of difficulties to tackle COVID-19 as most of the countries have not enough government capacity, weak institutions, limited resources, narrow government reaches to the vulnerable people and corruption compare to East Asian region and no actual strategies are yet noticeable from the governments of South Asia as a result transmission increases day by day. That is why; we think that South Asian countries could take lessons from East Asian countries as these countries are more successful to control COVID-19

The areas of application of mathematical and statistical methods for determining the prognostic model of rural development on the example of all Ukraine taking into account the economic, social and environmental component are explored in this article. Econometric modelling is the basis of the research methodology in this work. As a tool for analysis, a specific system of evaluation of selected indicators and their correlation and regression processing is applied. The results showed that the most influential factors for the level of development of rural territories of Ukraine are ten among the 60 indicators, grouped by the three components. They characterize the economic, social and environmental component and determine some impact on the functioning of the country's territorial system as a whole. The mathematical expression of the prognostic model of rural development is established using the regression analysis. A set of measures for regulation of rural development is developed on the basis of these results, which envisages the implementation of measures in the areas of software, normative and legal support. It is expected that this study will help public authorities make more effective decisions on addressing key issues of social and economic processes in rural areas of individual regions, Ukraine as a whole and other countries
