Effectiveness of Deep Phet Interactive Simulation Improving Understanding of The Concept of Material Change
The rapid development of technology demands optimal use in the education sector in order to achieve sustainable progress. Integrating technology in the learning process, especially through the application of interactive simulations, not only provides clear visual representations of scientific concepts, but also increases student involvement in learning, stimulates curiosity, and supports the formation of deeper understanding. One platform that stands out in this regard is Physics Education Technology (PhET), which provides realistic and easy-to-use simulations. Through PhET, students can conduct virtual experiments and immediately see the results. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using PhET interactive simulations in increasing students' understanding of the concept of chemical material changes, by applying a learning model Discovery Learning. The research method applied is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design Nonequivalent Control Group Design, involving two groups of class 10 students at Madrasah Aliyah Bogor Regency. Analysis results Paired T-Test in the experimental group showed a score of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. This illustrates the positive impact of using PhET simulations on improving student understanding. The results of the N-Gain analysis show an average value of 0.5, indicating that PhET's effectiveness in improving students' understanding has moderate criteria. Further evaluation is needed to understand the factors that influence the effectiveness of PhET in this learning context
UTAUT2 MODEL EVALUATION OF ACCEPTANCE WEB-BASED MULTIMODALITY LEARNING MEDIA
In carrying out learning, teachers need a learning media. Along with advances in technology, teachers are required to be able to use technology-based learning media in learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the acceptability of web-based multimodality learning models in elementary school teachers using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a survey method using a questionnaire. Data processing was carried out using the PLS-SEM analysis technique. The research data was obtained from distributing questionnaires to 100 elementary school teachers. The results of this study indicate that the factors that influence teacher acceptance of web-based multimodality learning media are behavior intention, use behavior, performance expectancy, effort expectancy. ), social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price values, and habits. Based on the value of R Square, this web-based multimodality learning model is good for use in teaching in elementary schools
Cognitive Load Siswa SMP Dalam Pembelajaran Sistem Ekskresi Pasca Pandemi Covid-19
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran bagaimana cognitive load siswa SMP dalam materi sistem ekskresi pada pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas pasca pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Bogor Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022. Cognitive load diukur berdasarkan tiga komponen yaitu usaha mental untuk menggambarkan extraneous cognitive load (ECL), kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi yang menggambarkan intrinsic cognitive load (ICL), serta kemampuan penalaran sebagai hasil belajar untuk menggambarkan germane cognitive load (GCL). Usaha mental diukur dengan angket subjective rating scale menggunakan Skala Likert, kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi diukur melalui soal sistem ekskresi berdasarkan komponen information processing, dan hasil belajar diukur melalui soal penalaran berdasarkan dimensi penalaran. Hubungan antara ketiga komponen cognitive load dianalisis melalui uji korelasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa korelasi antara usaha mental dengan kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi (UM-MMI) serta korelasi antara usaha mental dengan hasil belajar (UM-HB) menunjukkan nilai negatif dan tidak signifikan. Besarnya nilai korelasi antara kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi dengan hasil belajar (MMI-HB) menunjukkan nilai positif dan tidak signifikan. Berdasarkan korelasi antara ketiga komponen tersebut maka cognitive load peserta didik pada materi sistem ekskresi masih berada pada kategori yang tinggi karena korelasi pada setiap komponennya tidak memiliki korelasi yang kuat atau signifikan
Analysis Of Student Worksheet Needs In Science Practicum Activities With Problem-Based Learning Model
This study was conducted to analyze the needs of student worksheets in elementary school science practicum activities with a problem-based learning model. The needs analysis results will be the basis for making student worksheets. Needs analysis is carried out as an initial research stage on applying science practicum with a problem-based learning model. The study subjects were 10 grade IV students of SDN 010 Kundur. Researchers made observations and collected data through Google form questionnaires distributed via Whatsapp to students. Electronic Student Worksheets to Train Scientific Literacy in Chemical Equilibrium Material
The research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of using electronic student worksheets to train students' scientific literacy skills on chemical equilibrium material. The research design used the one-group pretest-posttest method. The sample in this study was class XI IPA, which consisted of 35 students. The research instrument was a pretest-posttest test instrument. The data obtained were analyzed by the N-gain test with the condition that the N-gain reached 76% and the classical condition with the condition ≥85% The results of the analysis show that the N-gain is 76.50%, and the classical completeness test is 97.14%. From the analysis, it can be concluded that electronic student worksheets are effective for training scientific literacy skills in chemical equilibrium material
Project-Based Learning With Digital Storytelling To Improve Science Literacy Of 10th-Grade Students In Ma Al Manshuriyah School
Abstract: This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the project-based learning (PJBL) model with digital storytelling to enhance science literacy among 10th-grade students on ecosystem subjects. The research design was a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group. The study was conducted at MA Al Manshuriyah with 57 participants from two classes, IPA 1 and IPA 2. IPA 1 was selected as the experimental group that used a project-based learning model with digital storytelling, while IPA2 was the control group that used a conventional learning model. Validation and judgment of the research instruments were performed by experts until they were deemed suitable for use. The results showed that the learning process made the students more active in creatively solving problems. There was an improvement in students' science literacy skills on ecosystem subjects with an N-gain score of 65% (experimental group) and 56% (control group). The percentage of good category in science literacy for the experimental group was 85%, while for the control group was 78%. Students' caring attitude towards the environment was obtained at 79% with a very good category. IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, MENTORING IS AN ATTEMPT TO CREATE A CULTURE OF QUALITY IN RESPONSE TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL CRISIS FACING CIVILIZATION
Elementary schools are in a unique position to raise the next generation of environmentally conscious citizens in the face of an impending environmental crisis. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how mentoring programs might help these schools develop a culture of quality, which is characterized by ecological awareness and action.In an endeavor to create a quality culture in primary schools while responding to a humanitarian catastrophe, this study seeks to explain the function of mentorship. A comprehensive and efficient approach to education is required in light of the civilizational crisis, which encompasses moral degradation, social unrest, vulnerability, and environmental concerns. One method for addressing this issue and fostering a culture of excellence in primary schools is mentoring.Through mentoring, educators can foster a supportive learning atmosphere in which pupils are encouraged to resolve conflicts, cultivate empathy, and foster cooperation. Mentoring also increases parents' involvement in their kids' education, fostering cooperation between schools and families to raise educational standards. Mentoring can also assist in resolving issues that develop in the midst of a civilized crisis, such as an environmental crisis, by supplying the knowledge and abilities needed to handle it. Life on Earth depends on the process of photosynthesis. Through this process, light energy is transformed into chemical energy, which plants use to create oxygen and food. SCIENCE PRACTICUM ACTIVITIES THROUGH WATER AND AIR POLLUTION EXPERIMENTS ON ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION MATERIALS IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS
Learning that is carried out using the experimental practicum method gives students the ability to think critically, actively and collaboratively in solving a problem in science material, especially environmental pollution material. This study aims to provide an alternative way for educators to convey material related to environmental pollution, especially water and air pollution. The method used is the development of practicum learning methods on the material of water pollution and air pollution which is carried out in class 7th grade students at junior high school. The results of the water pollution practicum research stated that the average fish operculum movement experienced the highest decrease in Jar 3, from 95 to 69. The results of observations on the average movement of fish that experience slow changes and die the most are in Jar 2 with an average of 60% of fish moving slowly and 80% of fish dying in the second minute. The higher the dose of detergent, the less movement of the fish operculum and the slower the movement of fish and the death. In air pollution, the highest percentage decline in normal cricket activity was in Jar 2, from 50% in the 3rd minute to 30% in the 6th minute. The longer the crickets were exposed to the smoke of the mosquito coils, the lower the displacement of the places carried out by the crickets and the higher the activity move the antenna
EFFECTIVENESS OF DIGESTIVE SYSTEM PROBLEM-BASED INTERACTIVE E-MODULE IN IMPROVING STUDENT CONCEPT MASTERY
This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of teaching materials in the form of problem-based interactive E-Modules. Prior to conducting this research, a preliminary study was carried out which consisted of literature studies and field studies. This type of research is experimental research. The data collection instruments were in the form of interview sheets to analyze the effectiveness of the teacher's needs and questionnaires to analyze the effectiveness of the E-Module on students as well as concept mastery tests in the form of pretest and posttest which were given to the control class and the experimental class. The interactive e-module used contains text, images and learning videos as an independent learning effort arranged in an experimental class. The subject of this study used 2 classes of students in class XI MIPA SMA YPHB, amounting to 30 people each. The results of the control class research resulted in an N-gain value of 0.37 in the medium category and the experimental class produced an N-Gain value of 0.66 in the moderate category so that it can be concluded that the use of problem-based interactive E-Module has a moderate effect on student mastery of concepts.
Implementation Of Jigsaw Coopertaive Learning And Gallery Walk Based On Practices To Develop Science Process Skills And Sscientific Attitude Of Students
This study aims to obtain information on improving students ' science process skills and scientific attitudes through practical - based Jigsaw and Gallery Walk learning on the material organization of life. This research method uses a quasi-experimental design with a two-experimental pre-posttest group design, where no one acts as a control group, both groups act as an experimental group that is given different treatment and both are given pretest and posttest. The object of this research is the students of class VII.1 and VII.2 with 41 students each. The instruments used are in the form of multiple choice test questions, KPS observation sheets or performance assessments and questionnaires for scientific attitudes before and after learning which are equipped with learning implementation observation sheets and student and teacher questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there are differences in the KPS of students who carry out practicum-based Jigsaw and Gallery Walk learning. (2) there are differences in the scientific attitude of students who carry out practical-based Jigsaw and Gallery Walk learning. (3) practicum-based Jigsaw and Gallery Walk learning can develop students' KPS and Scientific Attitudes. Based on the normalized gain scores, these two learnings have moderate values, both on the KPS and students' scientific attitudes. Thus, it can be concluded that Jigsaw and Gallery Walk learning can improve students' KPS and Scientific Attitudes
