DISCOURSE STRATEGY IN THE GREAT DEBATERS FILM DIALOGUE (Critical Discourse Analysis)
ABSTRACT
Knowledge, attitudes, values, norms or ideology are all personal representations and social representations. Each text will never be separated from personal and social representation. Using Critical Discourse Analysis, this article aims to reveal the discourse strategies used by the dialogue writers of the film The Great Debaters. To elaborate, the writer will use several steps, namely analyzing the macro structure, micro structure including the Description of Actors and Events and Interpretation of Racism Discourse in the United States. Based on the overall strategy of composing the dialogue text it can be concluded that Harpo Production is not neutral. Discourse compilation strategy is applied consciously by the parties involved in the scenario processing. It was found that the discourse strategy reflected the alignment of certain discourse stakeholders, namely the African-American community.

FEMINISME PADA NOVEL CINTA SUCI ZAHRANA KARYA HABIBURRAHMAN EL SHIRAZY
ABSTRAK
Karya sastra memang menjadi wadah bagi para penulis untuk mencurahkan pandangan, pendapat, kritikan, dan hal lainnya dalam bentuk sebuah karya sastra. Karya sastra memiliki gaya penulisan dan pandangan masing-masing salah satunya Feminisme. Feminisme memang menjadi kajian yang menarik oleh berbagai kalangan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang ide feminisme pada novel Cinta Suci Zahrana karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan studi pustaka jadi tidak terikat oleh tempat penelitian. Hasilnya ditemukan ide feminisme di dalam novel Cinta Suci Zahrana, dibuktikan dengan menuntut kesamaan derajat antara laki-laki dengan perempuan. Salah satu bukti autentik di dalam novel ketika Zahrana ingin sekolah tinggi karena dengan sekolah yang tinggi maka perempuan dapat menyetarakan kedudukan laki-laki, sehingga Zahrana lupa dengan usia yang sudah lanjut sewajarnya usia 35 tahun itu perempuan sudah menikah dan menjadi seorang Ibu.

PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA BAHASA ARAB MELALUI TEKNIK LOOK AND SAY (Penelitian Tindakan Siswa Kelas IV SDIT Segar Amanah)
ABSTRACT
This research aims to improve the Arabic reading skills of fourth grade of SDIT Segar Amanah students through the Look and Say technique. The subjects of this research were 32 students of fourth grade SDIT Segar Amanah. This research used a Classroom Action Research method with a model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart which consisted of planning, acting and observing, and reflecting throughout 2 cycles. The data was collected using test and observation guidelines for teaching and learning activities and observation guidelines for teacher and student. This research shows that the Look .and Say technique can improve students' reading skills in Arabic with the difference in the results of the pre-test, post-test cycle 1 and post-test cycle 2 with the class average score in the pre-test is 49.5. Then the average score results in the post test cycle 1 was 67.2 and the result of the class average score in the post-test 2 was 78.3.

ONLINE INTERPRETING LEARNING DURING PANDEMIC FROM STUDENTS’ PERSPECTIVE
ABSTRACT
Studying interpreting is challenging, and even more when done online. This paper studied five students' experiences when underwent an online interpreting course. Data is collected through interviews; this article described some problems that emerged from online interpreting learning in Indonesia. The author found that there were several internal and external factors that caused some problems during online sessions. Although the subjects were satisfied with online learning, all of them prefer to do face-to-face learning. This article was initial research in the online interpreting field. It is expected that there will be further research to find effective strategies for implementing online interpreting learning.

INTERFERENSI FONOLOGIS BAHASA INDONESIA DALAM PELAFALAN ONSET GUGUS KONSONAN KATA BAHASA JAWA
ABSTRAK
This study aims to determine the form of interference that may occur in Indonesian speakers who pronounce Javanese words with complex onset consonant clusters and to see if the interference omit the meaning of the word. This research method is to analyze the recording of the reading test by two research subjects using PRAAT software. There are two interferences produced by the research subjects, namely epenthesis schwa and deletion. The results of the perception test show that schwa epenthesis interference is unacceptable but does not omit the meaning, while deletion is unacceptable and omit the meaning. Both of these interferences are a form of adaptation of research subjects in pronouncing the complex onset consonant clusters that are not prevalent in Indonesian.

CITRA PEREMPUAN ASMAT DALAM ROMAN NAMAKU TEWERAUT KARYA ANI SEKARNINGSIH: KAJIAN SASTRA FEMINIS
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana citra perempuan suku Asmat dalam Roman Namaku Teweraut karya Ani Sekarningsih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan sastra feminis, sehingga jenis data yang diambil pun bersifat kualitatif yaitu berupa ujaran, pernyataan, dan dialog yang mendeskripsikan citra perempuan dalam Roman Namaku Teweraut karya Ani Sekarningsih. Prosedur penelitian meliputi mengumpulkan, mereduksi, menyajikan, menafsirkan, dan menyimpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Bentuk ketidakadilan gender yang muncul dalam cerita adalah marginalisasi kaum perempuan akibat kungkungan adat dan budaya, stereotip, dan subordinasi terhadap kaum perempuan; (2) citra perempuan suku Asmat dalam Novel Namaku Teweraut karya Ani Sekarningsih digambarkan sebagai perempuan yang dijadikan objek seksual dan alat pemuas bagi laki-laki; perempuan penggoda; perempuan tertinggal; perempuan sebagai warga kelas dua; perempuan tidak bebas memeroleh pendidikan; perempuan penurut dan mudah ditakhlukkan; perempuan pengurus domestik semata; dan perempuan tersubordinasi. Pengungkapan citra perempuan suku Asmat dalam roman Namaku Teweraut akan memberikan informasi dan pencerahan bagi pembaca untuk lebih memperhatikan saudara kita di suku Asmat – Papua sana yang jauh dari peradaban, sehingga muncul ide dan gagasan untuk menyejahterakan mereka.

SAPAAN KEKERABATAN BAHASA KERINCI DI KECAMATAN GUNUNG RAYA KABUPATEN KERINCI
ABSTRACT
This article aims to analyze the types of kinship greeting words in Kerinci language and social factors that influence the types of kinship greeting words in Kerinci language in Gunung Raya sub-district, Kerinci district. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research data is the kinship greeting words in Kerinci language in Gunung Raya sub-district, Kerinci district. The research data comes from informants as native speakers of Kerinci language who live in Gunung Raya sub-district.The result of this study is the community kinship system of Gunung Raya sub-district based on matrilineal lineage, someone will follow the lineage of mother. The male becomes a kindred based on the marriage line. The kinship greeting words in Kerinci language in Gunung Raya sub-district based on the lineage consist of 25 greeting words, while the kinship greeting words in the Kerinci language in Gunung Raya sub-district based on the marriage line consist of 29 greeting words. Social factors that influence the form of kinship greeting words in Kerinci language in Gunung Raya sub-district are social distance, age, gender, social status, physical characteristics, and language contact.

INCREASING ABILITY TO READ UNDERSTANDING THROUGH PQ4R METHOD IN CLASS IV STUDENTS SDI ARRAYAAHIIN BEKASI DISTRICT
The purpose of this study is to make improvements in the learning process and improve learning outcomes Indonesian fourth grade student at Arrayaahiin Elementary Islamic School west C ikarang Bekasi District using the PQ4R method (Preview, Question, Read, Recite, Reflect and Review.) This research was conducted in SDI Arrayaahiin Bekasi Regency. This research method is a class action research that uses a spiral or cycle model from Kemmis and Taggart. The cycle is carried out twice with four rounds of each cycle, namely planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. That is, in the first cycle, the percentage of reading comprehension reached 67%, with a teacher observation size of 93%. In the second cycle, the percentage of reading comprehension reached 80%, and observation measured 94% of teachers. Once discovered, there is a gradual increase in learning after the action. The PQ4R method not only helps students in the skills expected in the learning process at school. However, it is very important to equip students with a systematic learning method. The method of use for the benefit of the studio will produce supported understanding, not memory. Understanding that discuss relative will last longer in the brain, than just remembering the facts
PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF DAN BERPIKIR KRITIS TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN (FAHMUL QIRA’AH)
This research aims to investigate the influence of intructional models and critical thinking ability toward reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students at MDT Shibyanul Muslimin Jakarta. This research is quantitative research using design treatment by level 2x2. The instrumen used to assess students critical thingking’s ability is in quentionnaire form, while the instrument used to assess student’s reading understanding ability in Arabic language is in the multiple choice form. The result of the research show that: (1) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are higher than those reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcomes of students using cooperative learning tipe NHT models, (2) there is interaction effect between learning model and critical thinking on reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students, (3) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students who has high critical thinking and using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are higher than students using cooperative learing tipe NHT model, (4) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students who has critical thinking and using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are lower than students using the cooperative learning tipe NHT models
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TASK-BASED LEARNING METHOD TO IMPROVE GERMAN LANGUAGE SPEAKING SKILLS
Artikel ini menjelaskan penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis tugas untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman pada siswa kelas X MIPA 1 semester satu tahun ajaran 2019/2020 di SMA Negeri 1 Baros. Subjek dipilih peneliti secara purposif disesuaikan dengan tujuan penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil peningkatan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman. Model tindakan yang digunakan adalah model dari Kemmis & Mc Taggart yang menjelaskan satu siklus pembelajaran terdiri dari:1) perencanaan 2). Tindakan 3). Observasi dan 4) refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data berupa lembar pengamatan, dan unjuk kerja keterampilan berbicara. Pada analisis data kualitatif, penulis melakukan pencatatan, mengumpulkan, memilah, mengklasifikasikan, mensintesis dan membuat kesimpulan. Analisis data dengan statistika deskriptif disajikan dalam bentuk tabel atau grafik untuk mengetahui signifikasi perbedaan antara nilai keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman sebelum dan sesudah tindakan dilakukan,. Hasil penelitian pada tahap pra-tindakan menggambarkan capaian belajar siswa 72% tidak tuntas, dan hanya 28% memperoleh skor tuntas. Tahap siklus 1 mendeskripsikan adanya peningkatan yakni 47% siswa tidak tuntas, dan 53% tuntas. Pada siklus 2 terjadi peningkatan yang jauh lebih baik yakni 86% tuntas, dan 14% tidak tuntas. Nilai ketuntasan siswa yang mencapai 86% menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran berbasis tugas dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam berbicara bahasa Jerman
