    application/pdf火山防災上重要な水蒸気噴火の兆候把握をめざし、科学研究費の助成を受けて箱根大涌谷にて観測研究を継続している。最終的にはヘリウムガス濃度の連続観測をめざしているが、火山ガスが充満する環境下での機材の耐久性試験と火山ガス濃度の変動タイムスケールの予備観測を兼ねて、ラドン計測装置を2023年1月に設置した。機材は2024年11月現在も正常に作動しており、本機材と同様の密閉措置を講ずれば、ヘリウム観測装置についても、相当の期間にわたり観測を継続する目途が立った。ラドン濃度は、引き続き国内平均(家屋内)より低いが、稀に数倍の計数増がみられる。departmental bulletin pape

    Utilization of Generative AI in Education : A Survey on University Faculty Practices

    application/pdfGenerative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) has rapidly gained traction in education since the release of ChatGPT in November 2022, with applications such as educational material creation, translation, and automated feedback. In higher education, it has shown potential to revolutionize teaching and learning by enabling personalized experiences and streamlining instructor workflows. However, concerns persist regarding over-reliance on AI tools, ethical issues surrounding academic integrity, and risks of misinformation and bias. While previous surveys have investigated the role of Generative AI in education, they primarily focus on students or general stakeholders, leaving university faculty—a key group in its adoption and application—largely unexamined, especially here in Japan. This study addresses this gap by surveying 651 Japanese university faculty members, focusing on their daily use of Generative AI, its integration into teaching and professional activities, and their perceptions of its benefits and challenges. Findings reveal that while Generative AI enhances efficiency in tasks such as creating teaching materials, assessing assignments, and administrative duties, faculty remain cautious about its use. Concerns include reliability, ethical considerations, and the potential for academic misconduct. Moreover, opinions on future adoption are divided, with nearly equal support for and against its integration.To maximize the benefits of Generative AI while addressing these challenges, it is crucial to improve faculty AI literacy, establish clear usage guidelines, and conduct ongoing evaluations of its long-term impact. These measures are essential for ensuring its ethical and effective integration into education, thereby supporting its potential to transform higher education practices.departmental bulletin pape

    Learning through teaching practice: Perspectives from teacher education

    application/pdfThis study was inspired by teacher shortage—an educational issue that has emerged in recent years. University student guidance can be improved by clarifying the insights acquired during the teaching practice by those drawn to the teaching profession. A survey conducted for students revealed the following aspects. First, university students' perceptions of the teaching profession changed from negative to positive after the teaching practice. Second, some students considered becoming teachers in the future following their teaching practice. As teacher shortage is becoming a social issue, teaching practice holds more meaning for university students, as it provides them the opportunity to acquire actual experience of working in a school, and thus, reexamine the teaching profession.departmental bulletin pape

R.)は、中核三条件の中で自己一致を一番重視し、カウンセリングにおいても、セラピストは、自己一致、受容、共感の順に行うことを説いている。しかし、日本ではそのことが十分理解されず、ロジャーズのカウンセリング理論は受容共感であると誤解され実践されてきた。ロジャーズの自己一致とは、セラピストが自分の有機体や内臓感覚にも関連した体験過程(フェルトセンス)を意識化し必要に応じて表明することである。そのことで、クライエントも自己一致に近づく。さらに、ロジャーズは、自己一致は、セラピーの目標だけでなく、人間として生き方の目標であると位置づけている。しかし、日本では、セラピー中、セラピストは中核三条件を同時に実現するという発想が強くクライエントの非行等の言動を受容できない時の葛藤等と関連させて自己一致が説明されることが多い。だが、ロジャーズは中核三条件を同時に実現すると言っておらず、またセラピーにおいてはクライエントの言動の背後にある心理や体験過程を受容せよと述べている。自傷他害等を語る事例に対しても、セラピストは、当然その言動は受容できないが、ロジャーズが言う通り、自己一致だけを行っていれば、その言動の背後にあるクライエントの辛さ(体験過程)を理解することができ、自然と受容共感に至るのである。このように、自己一致を優先することで、セラピストも無理に受容共感しようとすることがなくなり、セラピストも楽になり、それがクライエントにもプラスになると考える。departmental bulletin pape
