Impact of Therapist-Focusing on Life Supporters’ Efficacy in Supporting Autistic Adults : Reflection of Therapist-Focusing Experience
Based on a reflection of Therapist-Focusing experience as a method of support for supporters at a day-care living facility for autistic adults, this study examined the effects of such focusing. The KJ method analysis of the reflections of 11 supporters revealed that this attempt provided an opportunity for contact with supporters’ own senses on a different focus than usual and encouraged a comprehensive “sense of ‘I’”. In addition, a questionnaire administered one month later revealed that respondents had developed a positive perception of their own emotions and themselves, which encouraged their daily support. Furthermore, even after the passage of more than a year, the words expressed throughout the sessions could easily come to mind at key points in practice, as “themes” or hints that recall what had been felt to assist the supporters. The results highlight the significance and possibility of encouraging supporters to reconnect with their inner senses and engage in awareness and words rooted on the body.研究論文departmental bulletin pape

Norm consciousness surrounding the survey on the “meanings and ways of saying idioms” in the “Opinion Survey on the Japanese Language” (PART 2) : Focusing on changes in the consciousness of Newspaper articles
Following Niino (2024), who discussed the change in the consciousness of language norms among the survey respondents of the Japanese Language Division of the Agency for Cultural Affairs regarding the“ meanings and ways of saying idioms” item in the“ Opinion Survey on the Japanese Language” conducted annually by the National Language Division, this paper discusses the change in consciousness seen in the descriptions of newspaper articles reporting the survey results, focusing on the survey conducted between 2010 and 2022. The survey results showed that up until 2015, the “conversion” of meanings and expressions from “original or non-original” to “correct or incorrect” was noticeable in the headlines, narrative text, tables, and graphs of articles, and was also seen in the comments made by Agency for Cultural Affairs officials. However, from 2016 onwards, this is clearly no longer seen. This is thought to be the result of the newspapers responding to the fact that, as seen in Niino (2024), the Japanese Language Division has recently expressed dissatisfaction and discomfort with the“ conversion” in the media, emphasizing that they want people to know what is
“original” but have no intention of bringing people back to that state.研究論文departmental bulletin pape
