PREPARASI DAN MODIFIKASI KIMIA STRUKTUR KITOOLIGOSAKARIDA-2,5-ANHIDRO-D-MANNOFURANOSA (KOSAMF) DARI KITOSAN SERTA UJI ANTIBAKTERI TERHADAP Staphylococcus aureus DAN Escherichia coli
Kitooligosakarida-2,5-anhidro-D-mannofuranosa (KOSamf) dipersiapkan dengan derajat polimerisasi tertentu melalui reaksi nitrous deaminasi dari kitosan parsial N-deasetilasi. KOSamf kemudian diubah menjadi turunan KOSamf dengan mengkopling gugus aldehid yang terdapat pada unit 2,5-anhidro-D-mannofuranosa (amf). KOSamf dengan 3,5-dikloroanilin dan NaBH3CN dalam pelarut buffer ammonium asetat direaksikan melalui metoda one-pot aminasi reduktif untuk menghasilkan turunan KOSamf yang berpotensi sebagai senyawa antibakteri dan antijamur. Struktur kimia dari turunan KOSamf yang telah disintesis dikarakterisasi dengan Spektroskopi FT-IR dan NMR. Senyawa turunan KOSamf memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dengan zona inhibisi 12,5 mm dan bakteri E. coli dengan zona inhibisi 10,5 mm
SINTESIS DAN KARAKTERISASI ZEOLIT FAUJASIT DARI LIMBAH BATUBARA OMBILIN DENGAN METODA ALKALI HIDROTERMAL AIR LAUT
Zeolite synthesis using Ombilin coal fly ash at low temperature with alkaline hydrothermal process has been carried out. The used Fly ash was melted by NaOH at a temperature of 550°C. Alkaline hydrothermal processes in zeolite synthesis performed with variations of temperature at 35°C , 45°C and 60°C . The zeolite that obtained was characterized by using Fourier Transform Infra Red (FT - IR), X - Ray Diffraction (XRD) , Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) in combination with EDX . The characterization results showed the formation of zeolite were better when an increasing in temperature processes and the use of sea water as a solvent. On the use of seawater, were obtained sodalit zeolite with the chemical formula Na8(Al6Si6O24)Cl2
ANALISIS ZAT WARNA TARTRAZIN PADA JAJANAN MINUMAN RINGAN TAK BERLABEL YANG DIJUAL PEDAGANG KAKI LIMA DI BANDA ACEH
Analisis zat warna Tartrazin pada jajanan minuman ringan tak berlabel yang dijual pedagang kaki lima di Banda aceh telah dilakukan. Zat warna Tartrazin merupakan pewarna sintetis yang digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai bahan tambah pangan (BTP), guna meningkatkan daya tarik minuman. Analisis zat warna Tartrazin pada jajanan minuman ringan tak berlabel yang dijual pedagang kaki lima di Banda aceh bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya kandungan zat warna Tartrazin dan menentukan kadar zat warna Tartrazin yang terdapat pada jajanan minuman ringan tak berlabel yang dijual pedagang kaki lima. Hasil analisis didapatkan kadar zar warna Tartrazin pada panjang gelombang 427 nm sekitar 1,06457- 40,6126 ppm. Kadar zat warna Tartrazin melebihi batas yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan ADI (Acceptable Daily Intake) yaitu sekitar 7,5 mg/Kg/day. SINTESIS SURFAKTAN METIL ESTER SULFONAT DARI PALM OIL METHYL ESTER DAN NATRIUM METABISULFIT DENGAN PENAMBAHAN KATALIS KALSIUM OKSIDA
The most widely used surfactant is an anionic surfactant which is synthesized from petroleum namely Linear Alkylbenzene sulphonate (LABS). Methyl Ester Sulfonate which is currently being developed. Surfactant can produced from palm oil methyl ester via sulfonation sulfonate. When in this research using sodium metabisulphite. The aims of this work is to synthesize Methyl Ester Sulfonate surfactant from Palm Oil Methyl Ester using Sodium Metabisulphite and a catalyst Calcium Oxide. The effects of time and the mole ratio are also investigated. Sulfonation process carried out in 4, 5, 6 hours with mole ratio of 1: 0,5, 1:1, 1: 1,5, temperature of 80° C and with stirring speed of 450 rpm. It haven been found that the surfactant produced has density of (0.89490 g/cm3 - 0.89545 g/cm3), viscosity (2.0323 cP - 2.1329 cP), pH (2,03 - 2,48), surface tension (32.60 mN/m - 33.60 mN/m), interfacial tension (30.45 mN/m - 30.94 mN/m), and the stability emulsion (59.17% - 89, 17%)
EKSTRAKSI DAN IDENTIFIKASI SENYAWA ANTOSIANIN DARI JANTUNG PISANG RAJA (Musa x paradisica L.) SERTA UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDANNYA
Anthocyanin coumpound have been successfully extracted from plantain bud (Musa x paradisiaca L) which can used as natural colorant and antioxidant. Coumpound anthocyanin exracted using maceration method with solvent ethanol that has been acidified with acetic acid and citric acid until pH 1,5. The extract anthocyanin is identified by UV-Vis spectrophotometer (260-800 nm) and retrieved two peaks that is 277 nm (UV) and 533 nm (Visible). Further treatment is carried out with KCKT-DAD at a wavelength 516 nm. Anthocyanin treatment given temperature and pH. Total anthocyanin monomeric obtained for ethanol + acetic acid was 30,22 mg/L; ethanol + citric acid was 18,20 mg/L. The warming influence of the anthocyanin compound lead to degradation of color is highest for ethanol + acetic citric on temperature 100oC with percentage degradation of 61,97 %. The antioxidant activity of the extract was measured by 1,1- difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH) the result showed that the anthocyanin extracts from Plantain bud has antioxidant activity ethanol + acetic citric acid extract is very active as an antioxidant with IC50 Â values of 3,74 mg/L
ISOLASI DAN KARAKTERISASI METABOLIT SEKUNDER DARI EKSTRAK ASETON DAUN MACARANGA PRUINOSA BANGKA BELITUNG
Macaranga is a large genus in Euphorbiaceae, locally known as "Mahang-mahangan", and consisting about 300 species. Distribution of Macaranga is widespread from Africa and Madagascar in the west to the tropical regions of Asia including Indonesia. Based on previous research of the M. pruinosa, secondary metabolites that have been reported are flavonoid, and stilbenoid derivatives from Borneo. M. pruinosa that grow in South Sumatra produce poilanoat acid (diterpene). Therefore, this research is done to investigate phytochemical constituent of leaves of M. pruinosa from Bangka Belitung Islands. Isolation is done by maceration in acetone, separation and purification using vacuum liquid chromatography and radial chromatography. Structure determination were elucidated by 1H-NMR,13C-NMR, 2D NMR. Two compounds are identified as flavanon derivatives. They are nymphaeol B, and 6-farnesil-3',4',5,7-tetrahidroksiflavanon. These compounds are substituted with terphenyl group, known as geranyl (C10), and farnesyl (C15). Nymphaeol B (1) and compound of 6-farnesil-3', 4', 5,7-tetrahidroksiflavanon (2) have been found in other species of Macaranga. In conclusion, we here acquired two phenolic derivatives substituted by terphenyl groups from acetone extracts of leaves of M. pruinosa from Bangka Belitung. They are nymphaeol B, and 6-farnesil-3',4',5,7-tetrahidroksiflavanon. The result showed that M.pruinosa can produce different secondary metabolites depend on where they grow.Â
PROSES ULTRAFILTRASI UNTUK PENJERNIHAN SARI BUAH MARKISA (Passiflora quadrangularis) DENGAN MEMANFAATKAN MEMBRAN KERAMIK
Ultrafiltration of passion fruit juice using variation thickness of ceramic membrane has been done. The result shows that aquades flux value in 25 minutes for membrane 1.5; 2.0; 2.5; 3.0; and 3.5 mm is 17.0135; 19.1947; 10.9061; 10.9061 and 4.3624 L/h m2. Whereas passion fruit juice in same time for membrane 1.5; 2.0; 2.5 mm is 8.2886; 5.6712 and 4.3624 L/h m2. For membrane 3.0 and 3.5 mm it has not been done because flux value are too small that indicate fouling. Physical and chemical properties parameter in ultrafiltration of passion fruit juice obtained for turbidity and color very different between passion fruit juice before and after ultrafiltration, whereas reducing sugar and vitamin C are not significant different between passion fruit juice before and after ultrafiltration. Determination rejection coefficient value of membrane for turbidity, color  relatively significant whereas for reducing sugar and vitamin C are relatively not significant
DEGRADASI SENYAWA 2,4 (DIKLOROFENOKSI) ASAM ASETAT DALAM PESTISIDA SIDAMIN 865 AS SECARA FOTOLISIS DENGAN PENAMBAHAN TiO2-ANATASE
ABSTRACT Degradation of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic Acid (2,4-D) in Sidamin 865 AS pesticides had been carried out by photolysis with adding anatase-TiO2. Photolysis method were performed using an irradiation of UV-light at λ 365 nm, 10 W. The degradation of 20 mg/L 2,4-D without addition of anatase-TiO2 was 6.88% within 90 minutes treatment. Degradation of 20 mg/L 2,4-D by photolysis with addition of 0.1000 g anatase-TiO2, degradation was 31.55% within 90 minutes irradiation without stirring and it was 95.42% within 90 minutes irradiation with stirring. Keywords : photolysis, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, anatase-TiO2Â
EFEK PEMBERIAN VITAMIN E TERHADAP PENURUNAN KADAR MALONDIALDEHID (MDA) HATI MENCIT STRAIN JEPANG AKIBAT PAPARAN MINYAK GORENG BERULANG
 ABSTRACT SOR (Reactive Oxygen Species) is a collection of free radical compound or compounds that easily become free radicals and can damage the cell membrane is marked by elevated levels of MDA (11) This is called oxidative stress, which can be prevented and reduced by adequate intake of antioxidants into the body optimally. Oxidative stress effects can be prevented by antioxidant vitamins, especially vitamin E. The results of research show that the average value of mouse liver MDA levels of the control group (A) 1.78 nmol/mL. The treatment group with repeated delivery of cooking oil (B) have increased the average value of mouse liver MDA levels (2.97 nmol/mL, 3.18 nmol/mL, 3.49 nmol/mL, 3.83 nmol/mL). In the treatment group with doses of vitamin E 52 IU/Kg/Hr and repeat cooking oil (C) have decreased the average value of mouse liver MDA levels (2.03 nmol/mL, 2.10 nmol/mL, 2.24 nmol/mL, 2.70 nmol/mL), compared with the provision of cooking oil over it. We can conclude that there are differences in average MDA levels of the liver of mice a significant between group A, group B1, C1 group (p = 0.003). Mice liver MDA content significantly between group A, group B2, C2 group (p = 0.000), between group A, group B3, C3 group (0.001), between group A, group B4, C4 group (0.000) where p <0.05. Keywords: Recurring Cooking Oil, Vitamin E, Malondialdehid (MDA)  Â
TRANSPOR ION TEMBAGA (II) MELALUI TEKNIK MEMBRAN CAIR FASA RUAH
