Supply Chain Finance Analysis Towards Corporate Performance in PT ABC
Abstract. PT.ABC is a steel fabricator company with many projects and experience in steel industry and infrastructure. As one of the manufacturing company, PT.ABC is relaying their operational activities through supply chain management. Supply chain management is one of strategic decision of a business. Supply chain management is also a network of organization that includes supplier, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and customers. Focus of supply chain management is took place in the customers side, the primary purpose of the existence of supply chain management is to satisfy the customer needs, alongside the process of gaining profit. In order to maximize the operational activity of supply chain management, financial side is taking support in background. To support supply chain management there are several tools that also taking advantage in the financial side, one of them is supply chain finance (SCF). Supply chain finance is an alternative funding consists of three different parties’ there are financial institution (bank), buyer, and supplier. SCF form a different way of funding that affected company’s financial performance to leading into operational performance. The purpose of this study is to identify impact from applying SCF program toward four different indicators as the working investment, account payable desk on hand, the cost of goods sold, and current ratio specifically seen from buyer’s perspective. To analyze the findings, a quantitative descriptive analysis employed. The result of this study could use to evaluate operational performance through financial performance in the company. The result is important because it will explain the improvement of performance and the impact of applying SCF program based on four indicators. The Effect of Foreign Direct Investment and Official Development Assistance to Human Development Index of Developing Countries at 2009-2013
Abstract. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) occurs when a foreign firm from particular country invest in foreign country in purpose to develop their business even more global, meanwhile Official Development Assistance (ODA) is another type of capital source that formed in loan in which will be given to the countries in DCA list. These two types of capital source have been playing important role in supporting development and human welfare in developing countries around the world. The human welfare dan development will be measured by Human Development Index (HDI) since this measurement is able to cover all aspects to measure human welfare and development in which have 3 dimensions: health that is measured by life expectancy, education that is measured by the education level achieved, and the last is the standard of living dimension that is measured by GNI per capita. The ODA inward amount alone that flow to developing countries for 2009-2013 reach the number of 700 million dollars, meanwhile the flow FDI reach the number of 5 billion dollars. This fantastic amount of money indicates that the demand for capital sources from foreign countries is still considered high. The tools that will be applied to find the effect of FDI and ODA is panel data regression analysis with purposive sampling to choose 124 countries as the samples. The findings of this research are: 1. FDI and ODA are proven to have significant effect to Human Development Index simultaneously 2. FDI and ODA are proven to have positive significant effect to Human Development Index partially with the number of R2 reaches 99% meaning that FDI and ODA can explain strongly its variance of HDI. Preliminary Study into the Marketing Mix and Target Market for Koffie Fabriek Aroma
Abstract - Koffie Fabriek Aroma is a family-owned coffee business in Bandung that has been in operation for more than 80 years. Koffie Fabriek Aroma currently focuses more on market dominance strategies, operations, and human resource instead segmenting, targeting, and positioning, or analyzing weaknesses in its marketing mix. Therefore, Koffie Fabriek Aroma is limited in its marketing tactics, which relies almost solely on word-of-mouth. Although Koffie Fabriek Aroma is popular among a niche market, there are still many people who have never heard of Koffie Fabriek Aroma, especially outside of the Bandung area, so it may further expand its business by using other differentiated targeting strategies, such as online marketing. Conducting marketing mix and market segmentation analysis may help Koffie Fabriek Aroma grow by allowing it to target customers and position itself more effectively. This study aims to find the market segment for Koffie Fabriek Aroma customers in terms of demographic, geographic, behavioral, and psychographic characteristics. It also aims to analyze the effectiveness of Koffie Fabriek Aroma’s current marketing mix in terms of the 4 P’s (product, price, promotion, and place). This study uses a mixed-method design which combines aspects of both quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative data was collected through online questionnaires, which used purposive sampling in order to collect 107 respondents age 18 and older in the Greater Bandung (which includes Cimahi, and surrounding areas) and Greater Jakarta (which includes Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, and surrounding areas) metropolitan areas who have heard of Koffie Fabriek Aroma. The survey was distributed online via Google Forms from 22 June 2015 to 27 July 2015. Qualitative data was collected through observations conducted at the Koffie Fabriek Aroma store on Jalan Banceuy during Monday, 18 May 2015 at 12:00 PM and Wednesday 15 July 2015 at 11:00 AM for one hour each. The results from both sources of data were analyzed and compared to see if there was a convergence of evidence that would allow strong conclusions to be made. The study concluded that there may be a significant segment of Koffie Fabriek Aroma customers among males age 40-64, and that there may be a large proportion of smokers among its customers. 79.59% of regular coffee buyers in this sample are active on social media, indicating that there may be opportunities for online marketing. In terms of marketing mix, the study concluded that Koffie Fabriek Aroma had a good product, due to its strong flavor and unique taste, and good pricing, but poor promotion and distribution, because its main store is located in an unclean and crowded area in Jalan Banceuy, and it cannot be easily purchased elsewhere
Independence Day Effect in the Stock Price of ASEAN State-Owned Enterprises
Abstract. Holiday effect is an anomaly on stock returns related to public holidays. This findings oppose Efficient Market Hypothesis directly as it proves that abnormal return presence. Lakonishok and Schmidt (1998) defined public holiday as days when market is closed, such as Labor Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, New Year, Good Friday, and Christmas. The Effects of Technologyb Readiness and Technology Acceptance toward Citizens Participation in Bandung Smart City Project
Abstract.Smart city is a world phenomenon that also affected Bandung. Bandung government wants to apply smart city to Bandung which leads to Bandung smart city project. The project main focus is the Smart government. Citizens could actively participate in Bandung smart city project by using social media for reporting city problems. This study goal to know the effects of technology readiness and technology acceptance toward citizens’ participation. The research model based on two theories, technology readiness index and technology acceptance model. The data for this study collected from 400 citizens of Bandung. The results of the study showed that four constructs of technology readiness significantly affected perceived ease of use while only two constructs of technology readiness significantly affected perceived usefulness. Both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness significantly affected intention to use. The result of this study suggests that to increase citizens’ participation towards Bandung smart city project, the government needs to do direct socialization to reach more elements of citizens.Keywords: Technology Readiness, Technology Acceptance Model, Smart City, Bandung Juar
Factors that Influence Revisist Intention to Hospital a Case Study of Balimed Hospital
Abstract. This study aims to investigate the effect of Service Quality Dimensions on Customer Satisfaction, the effect of Customer Satisfaction towards Patient Revisit Intention and searching a significant relationship between variables within the biggest private hospital in Denpasar Bali, RS BaliMed. Improving Service Quality and establishing Customer Satisfaction within the hospital will increase the Patient Revisit Intention, our motive is to find out the truth regarding the statement for RS BaliMed. This study adopted several literatures for the Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Revisit Intention assessment. In this study, 100 respondents’ data were analyzed using PLS model and finds that Assurance and Empathy from Service Quality Dimensions have positive and significant influence toward Customer Satisfaction and also followed by the findings of Customer Satisfaction has positive and significant influence toward Revisit Intention. Interestingly this study also found that Reliability, Assurance and Empathy have indirect significant influence toward Revisit Intention which considered as unique findings.Keyword: Hospital Service, Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Revisit Intention, Bali, Partial Least Squar
Economic Feasibility Study of Emerald Hotel in Pangandaran
Abstract. The purpose of this research is to analyze the feasibility of Emerald Hotel which located in Pangandaran, West Java. Pangandaran Beach tourism has been improving from year to year so that the high quality accommodation to retain the tourist is needed. However, there is a lack of availability of this accommodation that can result in loss of potential tourist due to switch to another tourism object and the feasibility study of the hotel in economic aspect had not been conducted. This research is to know whether this project is feasible or not and to give a recommendation what step must be conducted to make the project more profitable. This research will explain comprehensively start from the background of the problem, the objectives of the research, concept which is used in this research based on financial books and websites, the systematic method in develop the research, data collection method, detail calculation in order to catch project\u27s Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, and Payback Period until give conclusion and recommendation for the project. The conclusion of this project based on data calculation in this research is Emerald Hotel project is feasible to do. The result of Net Present Value is Rp 34,013,249,479 which is greater than zero, Internal Rate of Return is 36.15% which is greater than WACC (11.25%) as hurdle rate, and Payback Period for 3 years 2 months.Keywords: Feasibility Study; Net Present Value; Internal Rate of Return; Payback Perio
Dividend Payout Ratio in Indonesian Consumer Goods Industry: Panel Analysis and Determinant Factors in 2004-2013
Abstract- Many study about dividend policy has been done, but still being a contradiction until now. This research conducted to know the determinant factors of dividend payout ratio in Indonesian consumer goods industry sector between 2004 and 2013. There are several factors selected in this research, such as return on assets, debt to equity ratio, current ratio, market to book value, sales growth and firm size. In order to identify the relationship between selected factors with dividend payout ratio, author conduct assumption test and panel regression analysis toward the collected data. Research result shows that return on assets, debt to equity ratio, current ratio, market to book value, sales growth and firm size simultaneously have significant effect on dividend payout ratio. The result also shows that return on assets, current ratio, market to book value and firm size have a positive relationship on dividend payout ratio. While sales growth and debt to equity ratio have a negative relationship on dividend payout ratio. However sales growth is the only factor that significantly affect dividend payout ratio. Consumer Buying Decision Process Analysis on Music Live Performances\u27 Tickets
Abstract. The rapid development on live music performances in Indonesia triggered the researcher to think that identifying the factors that influencing consumer buying decision is important more than ever for the industry. There are also lots of live performances that failed because not knowing what factors that made the consumers buy a live performance’s ticket. This research aims to investigate the customer buying decision in music concert event, find the most valuable benefits of music concerts, and which channel of promotion the consumers preferred. To reach the objective, the researcher used buying decision process and marketing mix tools. Respondents’ data that had been collected will have to pass the validity and reliability test. Then, all the data will be processed in descriptive analysis. The results showed that the consumers buy a live music performance’s tickets because of the artist, and the consumers also think that artist be the benefit that they value the most. As for the promotion and distribution channels, it was proven that social media, Instagram to be precise, and promoter’s online ticketing as the most preferred by the consumer.  Keywords: marketing mix, consumer buying decision process, live music performanc
The Effects of Service Quality to Loyalty Intention: The Mediating Impact of Customer Satisfaction
Abstract. In the recent years, the health and fitness industry in Indonesia is growing very rapidly; one of them is Muay Thai Fight Gym. The Fight Gym industry by nature is highly competitive, since almost all of the fight gyms are alike in terms of the programs and the facilities. The management of Rewa Fight Gym needs to know which area that they have to improve in order to increase their visitor\u27s Loyalty. This research aimed is to investigate the level of service quality, customer satisfaction, Consumer Loyalty, and finds the correlation between them. This research was using Service Quality in Participant Sport for assessing service quality in Rewa Fight Gym by constructing 4 sub-dimensions with 62-item questionnaire, Customer Satisfaction model with 5-item questionnaire, Loyalty Intention mode with 4-item questionnaire, and Behavioral Loyalty Survey of Participant Sport Clubs with 4-item questionnaire. The questionnaire was spread to 100 customers of Rewa Fight Gym. After the responses screened and proved valid and reliable, it was analyzed using Path Analysis to investigate the relationship between variable. The results of this research reveal that Rewa Fight Gym is categorized as good based on overall assessment score with every dimension has similar score. The result also reveals that service quality has significant positive impact to Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction and also independently. The implications of this research from both practical and theoretical aspect are discussed for the management of Rewa Fight Gym, fight gym industry, and suggestion as well as for future research. Keywords: Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Consumer Loyalty, Participant Sport, Fight Gy
