Proposed Performance Management System Design Based on Integrated Performance Management System. Case Study : Pamarican Agro Industry
Abstract-Indonesia is one of the biggest coconut fiber-producer countries in the world beside Philippines, India and Sri Lanka (vdeltafuel, 2016). This condition led to the growth of coconut fiber trader companies and coconut fiber producer companies in Indonesia. Many new companies are emerging to seize this business opportunities. One of these new companies is Pamarican Agro Industry which established in 2016 as a coconut fiber producer company that based in Ciamis, West Java. Since established in August, 2016 Pamarican Agro Industry does not have any appropriate tools to measure their performance. To become a major player in the market, Pamarican Agro Industry has to increase their competitiveness by evaluating their performance. Therefore, Pamarican Agro Industry owners decide to implement a performance management system for measuring their performance to evaluate the strategy. However, to effectively implement performance management system it is important to understand company’s current external and internal conditions and identifies which factors that will affect company’s performance. The external conditions consist of factors that are outside the organization and internal conditions consist of factors that are within the organization itself. Moreover, through further company’s current conditions analysis researcher is able to select which performance management system frameworks that feasible for the company. The primary data is gathered through discussion, interview and field observation. In this research, the data is gathered by qualitative method through field observation and interview with the owner. Secondary data gathered are vision and mission, organizational structure, production report and financial report. This research used PESTEL Analysis, Resource Based View Analysis, and SWOT Analysis to identify company business condition. After conducting several analyses to determine company condition, researcher found that appropriate performance management system that suitable for Pamarican Agro Industry is Integrated Performance Management System Framework. Aggregate Planning Analysis in PT. Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia
AbstractNowadays, most manufacturing companies are striving for greater profit and improvement to gain competitive advantage towards others. Such profit can be achieved by making more income or attenuate production expenses. In order to do so, manufacturers has been developing various kinds of production system in order tomaximize inventory utilization, production forecast, and production planning. Therefore,by applying certain operations management decision might lead to better result of production and inventory planning. Manufacturers around the world have been using combinations of aggregate planning models in any ways imagined to achieve best results in terms of production effectivity and cost, especially in automotive manufacturing industries which requires high planning precision with a lean inventory. PT. AAIJ is an automotive parts manufacturing company which supplies to both national and international market. PT. AAIJ however, they had been facing production shortage to its biggest client to the company, Nissan Motor UK Products since September to December 2016. Factors Affecting Halal Product Purchase Intention: A Study of Instant Noodle Consumption of College Study in Bandung
Abstract.Background: Indonesia as a country with high muslim population in the world. Furthermore, Indonesia at a second position of Top fifteen world instant noodle demand in 2015. This research aims to examine relationship of factors affecting Halal product purchase intention, case on instant noodle consumption of college student muslim in Bandung. Three factors affecting purchase intention that has been tested are Halal awareness, Halal certification and personal societal perception. Methods: The data used was obtained through online survey with 108 valid respondents. Sampling technique was used purposive method. Respondent must be muslim, student college in Bandung with range age 18-years old who ever consume instant noodle. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to determine the interrelation of different variables in purchase intention. As the requirements to use it, the data gathered was test by Classic Assumption Test before hand. Results: The Results shows that there are significant relationship between two independent variables (Halal certification and personal societal perception) toward dependent variable (purchase intention toward Halal product). Conclusion: In this research, Halal awareness has not significant relationship toward purchase intention. Optimal Portfolio Strategy of Mutual Funds from Schroders Investment Indonesia for the Period of 2013-2015
Abstract. This thesis aims to generate the strategy to achieve the optimum portfolio of mutual funds from Schroders Investment Indonesia for the period of 2013-2015 refers to Markowitz’s portfolio theory. As the data,  author uses 5 mutual funds from Schroders Investment Indonesia, Jakarta Composite Index from 2013-2015, and also Bank Indonesia rate from 2013-2015. The author will construct 3 portfolio strategies; there are Maximum Return Portfolio, Minimum Standard Deviation Portfolio, and Maximum Sharpe Ratio Portfolio. The author uses Microsoft Excel Solver add-ins in creating the portfolio and weight of each mutual fund in the portfolio. The portfolio’s performance is analyzed compare to the market using Sharpe ratio. Based on the calculation among 3 portfolios, the portfolio that gives the best performance is Maximum Sharpe Ratio Portfolio which achieves highest Sharpe Ratio that fulfills the Markowitz’s optimum portfolio theory. The portfolio generates 0.029% of average daily return and 0.447% of average daily standard deviation. Evaluation of Entrepreneurship Program in Bandung City
Abstract. Entrepreneurial activity  is  the  wheel  of  economic development at  local,  regional and  national levels. Bandung government has a target to create new entrepreneur in accordance with Middle Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) for the period 2013 to 2018. To achieve this target, a new entrepreneurship training program is being held. In order to maximize the program’s impact, continuous improvement on the program is necessary. The key of continuous improvement is to do an evaluation. This study used CIPP Model Evaluation to breakdown the whole program into context, input, process, and product. Each part (context, input, process, and product) consists of data which discuss about it. Each part will have its own evaluation based on the data. The context evaluation assessing needs, problems, and assets in creation of the program. The assessment in input evaluation are strategies, planning, and budgeting. Process evaluation is checking if the program execution runs according to plan by monitoring, document and activity checking. After the program is over, product evaluation started by checking if the goal of the program is achieve or not. The design of this research uses descriptive studies, which means information is collected without adding any perception involved. This research also uses qualitative approach to process the data in order to evaluate the new start- up entrepreneurship program in Bandung city. Determining Company Strategy Using Balanced Scorecard Framework: Case Study Hakmaz Taba Sharia Hotel
AbstractNowadays, hotel is a primary need for travelers and tourist. As a moeslem-majority country, Indonesia at least should be supporting sharia-based hospitality industry. HTS Hotel is a sharia-based hotel which located in Lubuklinggau, South Sumatra. The region itself also have high developtment that attract many tourism. HTS hotel performances must be researched in order to balance the region improvement, and competition. The author will elaborate the factor in the perspective of Balance Scorecard Framework and then generated new strategy that appropiate with condition of HTS Hotel as the final outcomes of this research. The author will assess the performance through questionnaire and interviewing the stakeholder of HTS hotel. In previous years, HTS Hotel management has never been able to achieve the Strategy set. This happens because in the earlier time of the developtment of HTS Hotel the top management using classical method which estimates are based on the personal demand of HTS Hotel top management, while defining KPIs actually should be measured either by the method of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), which makes the generated strategy is more realistic and can be achieved by the company during the period such as expected. Keywords: Hotel, KPI, Performance Management, Tourism, Balance Scorecar
Spin-Off Efficiency Analysis of Indonesian Islamic Banks
Abstract - Since the Law No.21 of 2008 concerning Islamic Banking, there are only 4 Islamic business unit that have conducted spin-off which are BRI Sharia, BNI Sharia, Bukopin Sharia and BJB Sharia. The number of study regarding spin-off efficiency is still quite small. The study uses input-oriented VRS DEA model with intermediation approach to measure efficiency. Since the results show non-parametric data, Mann-Whitney test is used for hypothesis testing to examine the significant level of the efficiencies before and after conducting spin-off. The average efficiency of BRI Sharia, BNI Sharia, and BJB Sharia has improved after conducting spin-off. In the contrary, average efficiency of Bukopin Sharia has decreased after conducting spin-off. Looking at the trend-line, those four Islamic Banks possess better movement post spin-off than pre spin-off. There is no significant difference of BRI Sharia and BNI Sharia for both before and after conducting spin-off based on Mann-Whitney test. A significant difference occurs in Bukopin Sharia and BJB Sharia. Conventional commercial bank which has an Islamic business unit can learn about efficiency of pre and post-spin-off performances of 4 Islamic Commercial Banks that have performed spin-off to prepare adequate insight before actually conducting spin-off.Keywords: Data Envelopment Analysis, efficiency, intermediation approach, Islamic banks, spin-of
Service Loyalty the Effects of Service Quality and the Mediating Role of Customer Satisfaction "A Case Study: PT. Sabda Alam Hotel"
Abstract The following study has purpose to find the relationship between service quality dimensions towards Customer Satisfaction as mediating role and Customer Loyalty in PT Sabda Alam Hotel. This research came from a problem which was appeared from the company which show the number of customer decrease annually. Path analysis was conducted to investigate Customer Satisfaction as a mediational model that links service quality to Customer Loyalty. Appropriate measures are identified from 177 Sabda Alam customer from 2010 – 2015 as the population. The result indicate that Customer Satisfaction does not play a mediating role in the effect of independent and dependent variable. However, the result shows that there is an impact on service quality to Customer Loyalty directly. Consumer Decision Journey on Choosing Third Wave Coffee Shop in Bandung
Abstract.Background: The growth of third wave coffee shop in Bandung increasing the competition among competitor. By understand what consumers prioritize in choosing third wave coffee shop can help the industry to be more sustainable.Methods: Qualitative approach like interview with professional worker, focus group discussion with key informants, and direct observation. Also this research use quantitative approach via questionnaire to find the flow of decision journey. This method was given to the Bandung’s third wave coffee consumer from 15-24 years old.Results: The majority of consumers agree with the variables that are shown in pre-purchase and on purchase phase. Thus, there are exist gap which is knowledge gap.Conclusion:The consumer decision journey helps to map how the consumer path in terms of choosing a third wave coffee shop. Choosing the Best Alternative to Run a Culinary Business Using Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique: The Case of Demi Kamu Cafe
AbstractThe growing trend of culinary business in Kediri area triggered one of its youth, Della, to create one, named Demi Kamu. In spite of the type of food sold, the price, the decoration, the location is an important aspect that can affect sales of a restaurant. According to Forbes, if someone’s thinking about opening a coffee shop or bistro, location is everything. This research was performed using qualitative method. According the in-depth interview by using root cause analysis with the owner, she already had three alternatives to establish the cafe, which are Ruko Mojoroto, Ruko Kawi, and Old House. This research evaluates all alternatives based on pre-determined attributes by using Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART). If the decision maker’s extra value point < Rp41.906.846 then the decision maker should choose Ruko Mojoroto and if not then the decision maker should choose Old House. After some calculation, the result is Rp6.161.971/point. The owner then should choose Ruko Mojoroto as the best alternative. Lesson learned from this study was that it was true location is the most important thing to establish a restaurant.
