THE EFFECT OF MOTIVATION TOWARDS EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN RSUD SUMEDANG
Abstract.This research aims to improve the employee performance in RSUD Sumedang. The improvement attempt is started by creating motivation workshop and conduct job analysis. The new performance management system is also expected to assist employee to do their job analysis more efficiently. The result of the employee motivation improvement would be a consideration to new performance management system comparing to existing system. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the improved system is able to eliminate the problem and improve employee performance in RSUD Sumedang.Keyword: Motivation, Employee Performance, Human Resource Management  Â
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT AND IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY ON SERVICE FACILITY OF SOEKARNO HATTA AIRPORT TERMINAL 3
Abstract.Background: As the main gateway of Indonesia, Soekarno Hatta Airport handled 63 million air transportation passengers in 2017, while the capacity per year is 62 million passengers. The growth of air transport service users in Indonesia continues to increase in consequence of the increasing number of airlines in Indonesia offer low cost of air travel. Along with the increasing number of peoples traveling by airplane, it is importance to know the condition and suitability of space availability and the service facilities performance from airport service user’s perceptions. The aim of this study is to measure the performance of service facilities provided in Soekarno Hatta Airport Terminal 3 based on airport service user’s interest. Methods: Importance Performance Analysis conducted from the data based on 400 answer questionnaires by the airport service users to analyze their interest and perception on 21 airport service facilities. Results: Soekarno Hatta Airport Terminal 3 management need to improve the technology-based facilities, staff helpfulness, check in processing time, and baggage delivery processing time. Conclusions: To overcome the problems of lack of performance on service facility, writer suggest that Soekarno Hatta Airport Terminal 3 management to develop more self-service technology.Keywords: Performance Measurement, Improvement Strategy, Importance Performance Analysis, Service Facility, AirportÂ
FACTORS AFFECTING PURCHASE INTENTION TOWARDS NATURAL SKIN CARE PRODUCT
Abstract. Indonesia is home to hundreds of run-small business in cosmetics producers that concerns in producing natural skin care products (Global Business Guide Indonesia, 2014), but the tendency of choosing import brands still tend to be high, although some of them begin to look at local brands whereas Indonesia government continues to strive to increase Peningkatan Penggunaan Produk Dalam Negeri (P3DN). There are several independent variables include in this research; Consumer Values (Health, Environment, Apperance Consciousness), Attitudes toward Natural Skin Care Product, Product Stimulus, Price Stimulus, Promotion Stimulus, and Place Stimulus. This study has limitations in terms of availability of data about the total population of skin care natural users in Indonesia or any areas of Indonesia. Therefore, The Author uses judgement sampling technique as a reference in selecting samples, which had already collected 446 samples, who has experience consuming at least one natural skin care product before. To gain the result to know whether there is significant affect among each independent variables toward dependent variables the, The Author use Multiple Linear Regression with SPSS tool. The result shows that there are positive relation between all independent variables with purchase intention toward natural skin care product, except for Attitudes toward Price. Better product will encourage consumers’ purchase intention, so people are careless with the price provided that there are better product that will satisfy themselves.Keywords: Attitudes, Consumer Values, Marketing Mix, Natural Skin Care Product, Purchase Intention   Â
ANALYSIS OF INSTAGRAM ONLINE PROMOTION STRATEGIES FOR BAKSO ACI MASJAY AND BAKSO ACI GANTENG IN BANDUNG
Abstract. Since 2012, Bandung city has been increasingly visited by people from various regions. It gave a great opportunity for the people of Bandung to run a culinary business. It has an impact on competition in the culinary business is also increasing. To face this issues, every culinary business must be able to maximize the promotion strategy. Promotion is very important for business as a means to building brand awareness, attracting consumers to buy products, and educating consumers. Promotions can be done in various ways, that is offline promotion and online promotion. At present, people are more interested to online promotion on social media because it is easily accessible and can reduce promotional costs. Among the many examples of social media platform, Instagram become the most popular because its users are dominated by younger-demographic users. This pushes the attention of business people to use Instagram as their online promotion strategy. Examples of culinary businesses that use Instagram as an online promotion media are Bakso Aci Masjay, but Bakso Aci Masjay has not utilized their online promotion strategy as maximal, thus making the online promotion strategy of this culinary business to be inferior from the competitor, namely Bakso Aci Ganteng.Keywords: Online Promotion Strategies, Social Media, Instagram, Bakso Aci Masjay, Bakso Aci GantengÂ
REASONING OF UNETHICAL BEHAVIORAL ISSUE TOWARD ETHICAL DECISION MAKING OF THE OFFENDER IN GIDEON MULA GABE LTD.
Abstract. Ethics become one of the most important thing when we are running the business. The reason is because by doing business ethically we will gain trust. Those who done unethical issue will decrease other trustworthiness to them self or even worst will not have any trustworthiness. This mistrust issue already experienced by Gideon Mula Gabe Ltd. because of the indication corruption phenomenon that happened twice with different management team. By conduct this research, it will make reduction the mistrust of the shareholders. This research used James Rest ethical decision making 4 component models as the conceptual framework, Kohlberg theory of cognitive moral development as the parameter of the ethical decision making, and example of the unethical behavior which state in Ferrell, Fraedrich and Ferrell’s book. This research used phenomenology as the research method in order to understanding the reason of the phenomenon. The researcher found that there are 3 unethical behavior that have been done that related and created suspicious cash activity in audited report: financial misconduct, financial statement fraud, and corruption. CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY DISCLOSURE AND ISLAMIC BANK PROFITABILITY (EVIDENCE FROM INDONESIA)
Abstract. By  doing  this  research,  the  author  wants  to  examine  the  relationship  between corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure and profitability  in Islamic banks in Indonesia over the period of 2008-2017. The author tried to explore whether CSR and its individual dimension  index  would  have  significant  relationship  with  financial  performance  using profitability ratio (ROA), since it has inconsistencies results, theoretical explanation suggests a possibly positive, negative, or neutral relationship between two coefficients. A content analysis method is conducted to measuring the CSR disclosure. Panel data regression were applied to analyse the relationship between independent and dependent variables, since it’s a combination of time-series and cross-sectional data. Based on the data from the sample of 102 Islamic bank annual reports, corporate social responsibility disclosure gives a significant positive relationship with profitability in Indonesia Islamic banks. The individual dimension of CSR namely ‘mission and vision, ‘product and services’, and ‘commitment toward employees’ also found to have a positive significant relationship. Keyword: CSR disclosure, Profitability, Islamic Ban
IDENTIFYING DETERMINANTS OF EMPLOYER BRANDING FOR FINAL-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT IN ITB
Abstract. Background: Challenges faced by companies today are the millennial generation that began to dominate the workplace and they tended to choose the others opportunities beside work in company after their graduated. In order for companies to be employer of choice for potential job seekers, the company needs to do employer branding. The aim of this study is to identify the determinants of employer branding in attracting ITB students as whole and also based on the faculty clusters to seek employment. Methods: This study using quantitative approach through questionnaires distributed to respondents by online media. In this study, researcher used Principle Component Analysis (PCA) in order to reducing the number of original variables and determining the right Employer Branding factors for final year Undergraduate Student in ITB. Results: After the reduction with PCA, there are seven factors formed for ITB as whole, six factors for Natural Sciences cluster, seven factors for Engineering cluster, and six factors for Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities. Conclusion: The findings of this study can be useful for HRM professionals in the develop employer branding in order to attract potential employee from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). THE ASSESSMENT OF JAPANESE RESTAURANT IN BANDUNG SERVICE QUALITY AND ITS IMPLICATION ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Abstract. Background: Japanese Restaurants has grown well in Indonesia, especially in Bandung. One of them is Restaurant X which very well-known in the society. There are numerous elements in a restaurant, but previous researches have found that service quality is one of the most important. The objective of this research is to measure the current state of service quality at Restaurant X and to find out whether it has a significant influence on customer satisfaction. Methods: Data analysis used are student t-test and multiple linear regressions method. This research measured the current state of service quality at Restaurant X by calculating the significant difference between customer expectation and customer perception. Results: There is a significant difference between customer expectation and customer perception in all service quality dimensions which are tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The result also showed that tangibles, responsiveness, and empathy dimension have a significant correlation with customer satisfaction, meanwhile, reliability and assurance dimension does not have. Conclusion: Restaurant X need to improve their service quality thoroughly since it does not meet customer expectation in any dimension. In its application, Restaurant X can focus on tangibles, responsiveness, and empathy dimension first since those dimensions have correlations with customer satisfaction.Keywords: customer expectation, customer perception, customer satisfaction, Japanese Restaurant, service quality
EVALUATING CUSTOMER LEVEL OF LOYALTY BASED ON THE USE OF LOYALTY CARD AT COKOTETRA CAFÉ IN BANDUNG
Abstract. Background: Many tools that can be use with marketing division of the café to attract the customer and keep the customer loyal with the cafe. On the other hand, some cafés are not aware with this situation, especially for the small café that assume this is will increase their cost. The purpose of this research is to know the customer loyalty as an outcome from the program that offer by Cokotetra Café, that is loyalty card. There is a significant effect or not by using the loyalty card to increase the customer loyalty level. Methods: By using the quantitative method will measure the customer level of loyalty based on the using of loyalty card. The data will be processed by discriminant analysis. This research will focus on Cokotetra Café Bandung.  Results: The result of this research is that the using of loyalty card in Cokotetra café gives an impact to the customer loyalty at the second level of loyalty that is affective level.  Conclusion:This study will contribute to give the evaluation to Cokotetra cafe to evaluate their loyalty card program. Keywords: Customer Loyalty, Customer Relationship Management, Loyalty, Loyalty Card, Small Enterpris
THE CONSUMER BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS OF WEEABOO: PURCHASE DECISION MAKING PROCESS ON JAPANESE POPULAR CULTURE PRODUCTS
Abstract. Weeaboo is a non-Japanese person who is obsessed with the Japanese cultural world. From the results of preliminary research, it is found that understanding the characteristics of weeaboo is very important because it implies the emergence of a gap between Japanese popular culture products provided with weeaboo expectations as consumers. This research focuses only on the analysis of weeaboo consumer behavior that was derived from the identification of the influencing factors and the purchase decision making process towards Japanese popular culture products. This research applied Kotler and Keller Stimulus-response models to assist the data analysis. Narrative method used in this research and in-depth interview is the way to collecting data. Meanwhile, to interpret the obtained data using components of data analysis: Interactive model by Miles and Huberman. The culture of watching anime and visiting Japanese events becomes a trigger a weeaboo in the purchase of Japanese pop culture products which is shown by the purchase of anime products such as t-shirts, jackets, bags, anime figures, pins, key chains and posters. The purchase of Japanese popular culture products is also a representation of the personality and self-concept of a weeaboo in their reference group. The character of weeaboo that is vary has implications for the grouping of sales targets that can address the product nonconformance issues provided with the products weeaboo is expected to be consumers. The research found that the weeaboo classification based on the purchasing behavior was based on five categories: weeaboo Japanese pop culture, weeaboo Japanophile, weeaboo J-fashion, weeaboo cosplayer and weeaboo Sultan. This research suggests that sellers of Japanese popular culture products should look at the rational and emotional weeaboo purchasing behavior that indirectly impacts the marketing strategy. In addition, the manufacture of products must always be up to date on the latest anime and optimization of promotions in Instagram and Facebook due to changes in consumer behavior that search more for product information in social media. Keywords: Weeaboo, Japanese pop culture, Consumer Behavior, Purchase Decision, Qualitative Researc
