    INVESTIGATING MUSLIM STUDENT’S AWARENESS TOWARDS HALAL LABELLED COSMETICS (STUDY IN BANDUNG)

    Abstract. For Muslim consumers, consuming halal products is one of the obligations based on religious Shari\u27a. Halal products are consumed or used in any variety, including cosmetics product. Nowadays, cosmetics and personal care products are a fundamental part of daily lives. However, according to previous studies the female consumers do not completely aware to the halalness of their cosmetics product. Thus, because of the growing and demand of halal cosmetics product, it is important to figure out the halal cosmetics awareness among young generation. Findings on halal cosmetics in Indonesia is straitened. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to describe the female Muslim student’s awareness towards halal labeled cosmetics, specifically, in Bandung city. To know the students’ awareness towards halal label cosmetics, researcher author combining several concept of customer awareness for measuring consumer awareness since there is no exact variables in measuring the awareness. The variables are consists of a socio-demographic profiles, media advertisement, and product knowledge. By using Qualitative Research method with semi-structured interview to the seven participants, researchers can understand the phenomenon about halal awareness among Muslim students. This study also used triangulation by interviewing some expert in cosmetics industry. The result found that students had awareness towards the halal labeled cosmetics. In conclusion, the participants who had attended Islamic religious school has more understanding about religious education and more aware towards halal cosmetics. They had aware towards the information about halal cosmetics in the advertisement. The participants also have their awareness towards their knowledge through cosmetics product, including ingredients, logo and halal certification. Based on this study, there is another factor that can influence the consumer awareness towards halal labeled cosmetics. It includes the halal regulation and cosmetics industry. Furthermore, this study expects to give some recommendations and better understanding the importance of knowledge of a halal cosmetic product and shows how the industry and government can better accommodate these needs.  Keywords:  Consumer Awareness, Halal Labelled Cosmetics, Halal Product Consumptio

    Abstract. The amount of women from teenagers until adults need to look beautiful and perfect, provide an opportunity for the beauty and care industry. This fact drives the various industry engaged in the field of beauty and care growth in Indonesia. Therefore, Everglam Aesthetic Center is one of the beauty industry that growing now. Everglam Aesthetic Center tagline is: It’s the Place to Get Your Infinite Beauty, which provide a comprehensive service to customers need to know which attributes more increase on the level of customers satisfaction and importance in order to provide better service quality. The purpose of this research is to measure, analyze and increase attributes service quality that related to customer satisfaction in Everglam Aesthetic Center and then propose some recommendations of improvement. The literature review that needed in this research is related to service quality, customer satisfaction, SERVQUAL, three-factor theory of customer satisfaction and revised importance – performance analysis.The result finding from the data analysis in Everglam Aesthetic Center, it can be concluded that customer are tend to be satisfied enough with the fulfillment of basic factor, excitement factor and performance factor using three-factor theory analysis. There are 14 attributes that classified into basic factor, 2 attributes that classified into excitement factor and 2 attributes that classified into performance factor.     CUSTOMER PREFERENCE TOWARD SHAR’I CLOTHING FOR MOSLEM WOMEN IN INDONESIA: THE CASE OF DHAILLY

    Abstract. Indonesia is the country that has a big opportunity in Muslim fashion industry. Dhailly as a new player take this opportunity by creating shar’i clothing for moslem women with the handsock function. They want to create the another product variants to compete with another brand but not all their product variant is sold successfully. Therefore, the research about customer preference toward the attributes of shar’i clothing will be needed. The analysis technique in this research is interview with coding analysis and survey with descriptive and conjoint analysis. The results of this research indicates that color, good price, ease of care, quality of product, comfortable, durability, attractiveness, fit, fabric for shar’i dress, fabric for handsock, and design of shar’i clothing are important for Dhailly’s target market. The design attribute will be analyzed with conjoint and the rest of attributes will be analyzed with descriptive analysis. The researcher recommends that Dhailly should create the next design based on the conjoint result, for example, the combination of ribbon on the rear skirt, ban design on the sleeve, plain skirt design, without pattern, and fingerless handsock.     ANALYZING THE IMPACT OF LEADERSHIP STYLE TOWARD ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE IN PT PINDAD

    Abstract.Background: There are many studies that identified the relationship between the leadership style and thesuccess of organizational change implementation is significant. In this research, the researcher focus on the real case that happened in PT PINDAD is currently on the process of implementing their new culture. The researcher tried to identify whether the leadership style has a significant relationship with organizational change . Methods: The  organizational  change  recipients’  belief  measured  using  OCRBS,  and  the  leadership  style measured using the Multi-Leadership Questionnaire.Results: The  results  of  this  research  show  that  the  leadership  style  has  significant  impact  on  the organizational change, and both of transformational leadership and transactional leadership give a positiveimpact on the organizational change. The current leadership style that PT PINDAD used is Management-by- exception, while results show that Inspirational Motivation is a leadership style that gives highest positive impact among other seven leadership style on organizational change in PT PINDADConclusion: improving the leadership style will beneficial for PT PINDAD, since there is a significant impactof  leadership  on  organizational  change.  Applied  appropriate  leadership  style  will  help  the  process  of organizational change implementation. Keywords: Leadership Style, Organizational Change, Transactional Leadership, Transformational LeadershipÂ

    Abstract. This research will examine the logistic process that usually applied by the upstream oil and gas company by looking inside the Husky CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) and how the problem of huge amount of excess material and dead material may happen when the company planned the material that will be needed. By using the theoretical framework of BPMN  to know why the problem of excess material and dead stock may happen when planned the material, it need to be check by looking into the logistic process, because of that this research will be focus on the logistic process, which to looking the logistic process it need to look into the system of logistic in the company and understanding  the integration of the system and its process, because the logistic process are the modeling of the system that applied by company. Based on that this research will be take look in the area of order processing and inventory control, to know how the logistic process of the material planning are applied by company. Husky CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) is one of the production sharing contractor in the upstream oil and gas industries which stand in 2011, this company engaged in the upstream oil and gas industry which the company are based on Jakarta and conduct the production on the Madura strait block. Like most of other companies or contractors which engaged in the upstream industries, the activities that engaged in company was helped by using the third-party provider. Some of the problem appear in logistic when using the third parties are the lack of management in buying material or planning the material that will needed, and because this lack it usually made the excess material and dead stock that make a loss to company and HCML also already done some improvement to reduce the problem cause but it still not satisfies the company, because of that to more optimize the improvement, now HCML want to redesign its logistic process . Findings on this research was found that the problem of excess material and dead stock may happen when planning the material because the company applied an anomaly for their system and the integration which in their system they applied the pull system and for their integration it applied the MRP which the origin of MRP are the push system. Because of that it made the logistic process become distracted and not completed. Based on this research if the company want to applied the system and the integration like that it need to explain in the logistic process, to avoid the problem of excess material and dead stock happened.     Abstract. PT X is being intense in product Y market launch and it requires preparation of employee in maintaining, improving and implementing knowledge through a good organizational knowledge system, thus within Organization Department. Current condition of Organization Department has no systematic system that can integrating all the human resources plan. Therefore Organization Department needs a Knowledge Management (KM) to integrate human resources partial system into human resources complex system. Knowledge management implementation strategy (pull system) model adopted for this qualitative study. The finding of this study, there will be some improving system or even a new system in human resources by finds the critical knowledge to produce developing integrated knowledge management system. Thus, Organization department must have Knowledge management (KM) strategy and initiative to reforming people, process and Information and Technology (IT), this process occurs with a revitalization that starts from the leader\u27s commitment until completed the establishment of a knowledge center.     VALUATION OF A COMPANY WITH NEGATIVE EARNINGS: A CASE STUDY OF PT HERO SUPERMARKET TBK. (HERO)

    Abstract. Indonesia’s economy growth became slower since it reached its peak in 2011. This could be caused by the slowing down in household consumption which is the biggest contributor to the GDP. It leads to weakening in retail industry. PT. Hero Supermarket Tbk. is one of Indonesian retail firm that affected by this condition as they reported loss in 2015 and 2017. However, the author sees this case deeper than business cycle event as the slowing down has reached the fourth year and have not shown any good sign. Therefore valuation is conducted on PT Hero Supermarket to see whether the firm’s stock is currently worth buy. This firm is also considered as a special case firm with negative earnings referring to Damodaran’s paper entitled “Dark Side of Valuationâ€. Based on relative valuation, HERO stock is priced lower than the market. The low price was caused by the market pessimism. While based on the discounted free cash flow to the firm method, the intrinsic value of HERO is IDR 632 per share, while the market price was IDR 925 per share. This shows that HERO is overvalued.     Abstract.Bank in distributing loans is inseparable from the risk of impairment and uncollectible, therefore banks must anticipate these risks by preparing funds, known as Loan Loss Provision (LLP). The increase or decrease of LLP during the period of 2008 to 2017 can indicate a problem that can affect the sustainability of the banking industry and even further the country. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim to figure out the variables that influence the increase and decrease in Loan Loss Provision. The data collected are the financial report of 19 banks which categorized in the BACB 3 and BACB 4 that obtained from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and macroeconomic data obtained from Bank Indonesia during the first quarter of 2008 to the fourth quarter of 2017. The EGLS Panel (cross-section weight) is used to analyse the data. Regression results for six independent variables showed that two of those variables are not significant to Loan Loss Provision, namely Loan Ratio to Deposit and Growth of Gross Domestic Product. Non-Performing Loan, Capital Adequacy Ratio have a significant positive impact on Loan Loss Provision, while Bank Size and Inflation have a significant negative impact on Loan Loss Provision.Keywords: BACB, Bank, CKPN, Loan Loss Provisions, Panel Data Regression

    Abstract. Internet has become a major marketplace and a perfect tool for marketing channel to help companies expand their business opportunities, especially for fashion industries. The numbers of fashion transaction sold via internet has grown rapidly throughout years and have been growing between 25-30 percent a year since 2000. According to ystats.com (2015), fashion was the product category that has the most purchased via online in Indonesia in 2014. A lot of fashion brands has their own promotional strategies via online platform. To acknowledge how multichannel retailers and pure online retailers communicate their brands online, an exploratory analysis of top online fashion retail in Indonesia needs to be done and measure the effectiveness of the customer experience on the website. Literature review was done to analyze the theoretical background of this research, and an experiment done in a top fashion company such as ZARA, H&M, Uniqlo, Zalora, Berrybenka, and VIP Plaza. The exploratory analysis methodology was referred from the previous study conducted by (Rowley, Online Branding, 2004) and (Goswami, 2015) and the sentiment analysis was conducted from the customer testimonies from the last three months and gathered mostly from forums and Instagram. The result of the study shows that all fashion retailers achieve consistency of visual identity. However, there are differences on how the retailers provide the customer experience and create the brand loyalty program on online platform. The pure online retailers provide a better customer experience and brand loyalty program to the consumers compared to the multichannel retailers. The conclusion is proven by the sentiment analysis that shows that pure online retailers provided more positive customer experience compared to the multichannel retailers despite how big the multichannel brand is.Keyword: Customer experience, Exploratory analysis, Online branding, Online fashion retai

    PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF THE SELF-SERVICE QUEUING SYSTEMSTUDY CASE: PERTAMINA GAS STATION DAGO BANDUNG

    Abstract. There are a strong relationship between managing queue performance and customer satisfaction. Customer tends to choose a place with less queue rather than a place with a long queue by assumes that the place offers the same value. For this reason, many businesses often manage their queueing performance effectively to create competitive advantage. Within this condition the firm must come up with effective solution to deal with their queue condition. Self-service system is a queueing model that allow customer to process their order without having employee or operator to process the order. In many case the implementation of self-service system is uses to overcome the long queue problem by maximizing server utilization. In June 2017, Pertamina gas station Dago Bandung is the first gas station in Bandung that has been implementing the self-service system for motorcycle gasoline refueling area. The implementation of a self-service system aims to overcome the queueing problem when peak hour at the motorcycle queueing area. However, after the implementation, the self-service system still has a long queue. Within this condition, the system needs to evaluate whether the self-service system is effective to overcome the queueing problem when peak hour or not. The result from this study shows that the queueing performance of the self-service system has a bottleneck on phase 1. But, compared to the non-self-service system, the overall performance of the self-service system has a better performance than the non-self-service system. This study recommends the firm to add one more server in phase 1 of the self-service system to overcome the bottleneck. Also, the researcher show queueing performance comparison between both of the system by assuming if the firm stick with the non-self-service system by increasing the number of servers.Keywords: Queuing line, Queuing Assessment, Self-Service System, Compariso
