    PAIRED DIFFERENCE ANALYSIS OF STARTUP BUSINESS NEGOTIATION: STATED & IN-PRACTICE STRATEGY

    Abstract. The need to understanding and possessing negotiation is very important since it is every day process involving future of the orgsanization. Meanwhile, it is become more important to startup, as an enterprise unit who have characteristic of small team of professionals that hold autnomy authority. In this study, it asked what strategy between those they stated, which consist soft & hard, and integrative. However, a good negotiator should able to implement the strategy to deliver a desirable outcome. Therefore, an issue to measure consistency of stated and in-practice strategy is raised. Two questions is developed: is there a difference between stated & in-practice negotiation strategy and if difference is exist what is the direction. A model of measurement is developed consist of 24 pairs consist of each strategy in negotiation dimension. The research indicate 11 out of 24 pairs have evidence of difference and 7 out of 8 integrative pairs indicate the strategy less likely than what expected. Meanwhile, 4 rest soft & hard pairs with difference shows positive direction. The result of this research indicate an overconfident and innability to perform integrative strategy existing in the sample and many respondent of the sample doesn’t recognize what integrative negotiation is. Keywords:  Distributive, Integrative, Negotiation Strategy, Paired Difference Test, Startup Business,Â

    Abstract. School of Business and Management ITB as the only Principles of Responsibility and Management Education (PRME) signatory in Indonesia, is committed to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by implementing PRME values and principles. However, according to PRME Sharing Information Progress Report of SBM ITB, among 12 issues of sustainability that become the focus of PRME implementation, researcher found a lack of action SBM ITB took on waste management issue. The use of traditional waste management system implemented by SBM ITB doesn’t go along with the value of environmental sustainability. Therefore, strategic actions must be designed to overcome waste management problem as well as to achieve environmental sustainability in SBM ITB. This study aims to analyse waste separation behaviour in SBM ITB Ganeca Campus and provide recommendations to construct strategic planning in realizing environmental sustainability in SBM ITB. After collecting the questionnaires from 100 samples from students and staff of SBM ITB, research hypotheses were analysed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results of this study indicate that environmental knowledge and perceived moral obligation influence attitude in separating waste. While attitude and perceived behavioural control significantly influence waste separation intention, which has also been tested as a factor that influences individual’s behaviour in separating waste. Keywords: Principles of Responsible Management Education, Pro-environmental Behaviour, Sustainable Development Goals, Environmental Sustainability, Waste Separation Behaviour

    Abstract.The problem of cassava waste generates aesthetics disruption, health disruption, and also fungi and bacteria, oxygen depletion, and the death of aquatic creatures or biotic life disruption. Besides, the company will lose economic value because they can’t handle it well. Circular economy is an appropriate concept to solve the problem of waste which one of the objective is to generate economic value. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the concept is implemented and also how much economic value can be generated from all cassava waste. The result shows that the implementation of concept in the company has several steps are waste collection refers to all cassava waste were identified will be gathered by the company as raw material that used to produce value-added product, analysis of value-added products aims to find out what products can be made with its economic value, product creation refers to an activity of producing identified value-added product which means there has been the availability of the product. and collaborate with farmers where the company will offer their value-added product to farmers in order to generate benefit by purchasing the product or reselling it to the consumers.     Abstract.The increase of tourism destinations in Indonesia, making the tourism sector as a key factor in job creation, business development, and infrastructure. This situation makes each region needs to develop the potential of the area to be a place of tourism which will help in the development of a better region. One of the potential tourism in Blitar Regency is Kampung Coklat Tourism located in Plosorejo Village, Blitar. Kampung Coklat tourism is an educational tour based on cocoa planting. Kampung Coklat already has many improvements such as expand the area, add more facilities, and others but Kampung Coklat’s ticket price is still the same because the owner assumes that the lower price is the dominant factor that builds customer visit intention. However, there is no research from them and their price strategy is based on their assumption, so it is necessary for the company to understand the customer perceived that actually influence the customer\u27s visit intention. So the purpose of this research is to identify the customer perceived value towards visit intention in Kampung Coklat tourism. It uses five dimensions of Customer Perceived Value which are service quality (SQ), emotional value (EV), price (P), social value (SV), and reputation (R). This research uses the quantitative approach with the number of samples 384 visitors to Kampung Coklat. Then the author uses the Multiple Linear Regression to analyze the data which shows that 4 of five independent variables significantly affects the customer visit intention which are service quality, emotional value, social value, and price. Also, this research can prove that the price is the dominant dimension that affecting customer visit intention toward Kampung Coklat tourism. This research addressed to Kampung Coklat tourism in order to which value that customer dominant perceive so that the company will choose the best strategy to increase the number of customers, also to maximize the profit and still make an improvement to fulfill the customer need and wants.     DISCUSSION ABOUT THE INTENTION TO USE CREDIT CARD

    Abstract.Credit card is the commonly used and popular type of payment method in the digital era. However, compare to other Southeast Asia countries’ credit card penetration rate of usage, Indonesia is comparatively low. The aim of this study is to discuss the intention of Indonesian towards credit card. This research uses the combination of technology acceptance model, theory of planned behaviour, and perceived risk. Important variables used to assess intention on using credit cards are subjective norms, perceived usefulness, perceived behavioral control and perceived risk. A previous study in Vietnam has addressed the same issue, and this research follows the same framework by implementing it in Indonesia. We used the quantitative approach with the total of 200 respondents from Jakarta and Bandung. For data analysis, descriptive statistic and Multiple Linear Regression are used. The result for the intention to use credit cards shows that subjective norms and perceived usefulness have a positive significant, perceived risk have a negative significant influence, however, perceived behavioral control does not have a significant influence. Studies about intention toward credit card itself are still limited particularly in Indonesia.     IDENTIFYING REASON TO FOLLOW OR UN-FOLLOW FOODBLOGGER REASON USING SEMI-STRUCTURED INTERVIEW

    Abstract. As Instagram platform explodes with influencer, food also becoming an unexpected battlefield, and resulted in rising up the number of food blogger. People can find food blogger from any source. There are several factors that will affect the following and un-following decision, which are foodblogger’s ‘attractiveness’, ‘trustworthiness’, and‘expertise’ as mentioned in the Source Credibility Model. This research used qualitative approach using semistructured interview. The highlight data also used quantitative approach by using online questionnaire to support the data by getting the average in each question. For the online questionnaire, data is collected from 100 respondents. Instagram feature contributes to the most used source in finding foodblogger compared to Internet source and referral. The more frequent high quality (photograph and review) posts, the lower unfollowing possibility. Mixed content with some stories outside food area, show person behind the account, tell the honest and same taste review compared to the actual condition, experienced in trying food, travelling and review the food outside Indonesia leads people to follow, while the unreliable one who tells review different compared to the actual condition leads people to unfollow. The more advertisements posted, the higher possibility of unfollowing.     Abstract. Diverse workforce is an increasingly important phenomenon that needs better understanding. Numerous multinational companies that operates in several places in the world hire employees that comes from various part of the world, and one of them is PT Freeport Indonesia. As a multinational company, PT Freeport Indonesia hires Indonesian employees that come from various ethnic group in Indonesia, thus making PT Freeport Indonesia a company which ethnically diverse. This is also applicable in the Facilities and Town Management department – Highland division, one of the departments in PT Freeport Indonesia. Their employee comes from various ethnic backgrounds, thus potentially carry different values and behaviors with them. This research aims to analyze one form of diversity, namely communication styles involving various ethnic groups in the company using a quantitative method (i.e. survey) The outcome of this research is an analysis of dominant communication styles of various ethnic groups, categorized into several groups, and several suggestions on how to manage diversity based on ethnic groups for the Facilities and Town Management department PT Freeport Indonesia. The study found some significant differences in communication style from several group, although only a few were found. Even so, this suggests that even if it is subtle the potential conflicts may appear. Although there are many similarities among groups in each communication style, it does not imply that conflict may not appear. That is why better understanding from each member of the department is essential to minimizes conflict and increase work harmony.Keywords: communication style, cross cultural communication, diversity, ethnic diversit

    Abstract.Engagement is a desirable condition found to be useful in many types of organization both for the organization itself and for the employees. Engaged workers tend to perform better both at the level of individual and organizational. Organizations who nurture and manage engagement, have the possibility to have “happier†employees who performs better, which makes engagement be a possible source of competitive advantage among organizations. Nowadays, engagement is tightly linked with business-based organizations. However, any type of organization need its worker to perform better. Making organizations, who could not motivate their workers with incentive or financial rewards, find creative practices in keeping their employee engaged. Coming from a business and management student, Keluarga Mahasiswa Manajemen (KMM) of Institut Teknologi Bandung is a student union who does not puts profit as its main goal. Having to keep being organized and existed with limitations that KMM have, there are still members who voluntarily worked for KMM. Thus, KMM may have unique insights on managing engagement through its components.This study aims to explore engagement components in the case of KMM-ITB by using JD-R Model as a reference in defining the components of engagement. The purpose of this study is to provide insights of how engagement components contributes in forming engagement in the case of KMM-ITB.Result of this study shown that 4 components belong to Job Demands and 3 components belong to Job Resources (A and B). This study shows that the interaction between Job Demands and newly classified Job Resources A would result in the member’s decision to be active or not.     Abstract.Competition between restaurants has given too many choices for consumers of the products provided as the food industry grows. One of the most fundamental factors to survive in fierce competition is the service provided to the customers. The service provided to the customers leads to customer satisfaction, and further leads to customer loyalty. So that customer loyalty could not be separated from various factors such as perceived service quality and customer satisfaction. This study examines the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction in forming customer loyalty in Solaria Mall Kelapa Gading. Respondents for this research are 100 consumers in Solaria Mall Kelapa Gading, Jakarta. Sampling method used is non-probability sampling with convenience sampling technique. The sampling result is processed by using path analysis technique. According to this study, service quality has a significant influence on customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction also has a significant influence on customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction also plays a mediation role between service quality and customer loyalty.Keyword: service quality, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty.  Â

    DETERMINANTS OF RETURN ON ASSETS OF BANKING SECTOR IN INDONESIA: CASE STUDY ON 19 COMMERCIAL BANKS IN INDONESIA FROM 2008 TO 2017

    Abstract. It is recorded during the period of 2008 to 2017, 3 major banks in this research sample has changed its ownership to foreign-owned. While their asset categorized as foreign-owned, the asset growth of both domestic and foreign banks is still increasing despite the tightening competition from foreign banks. The determinants being observed in the research are CAR, LDR, FED, NPL, NIM, Bank Size, BOPO, CRDTA, INFL, and GDP with the dependent variable is ROA. This research used the sample of 19 commercial banks categorized as BACB 3 and BACB 4 over the period of 2008 to 2017. The result found out that NPL, BOPO, and GDP are having a negatively significant relationship to the banks’ profitability. While CAR, LDR, NPL, NIM, LNSIZE, and Inflation Rate found to be positive and significantly correlated with the profitability of the bank.Keywords: Commercial Bank, Determinant, Foreign Ownership, Return on Assets, Panel Data Regression  Â
