ANALYSIS OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE DIMENSIONS IN THE INDONESIAN ANTI-CORRUPTION AGENCY: A CASE STUDY OF KOMISI PEMBERANTASAN KORUPSI
Abstract. KPK was founded as an independent agency that has the power to both investigate and prosecute cases that involve law enforcement personnel or public officials. Because KPK was established out of the lack of public trust in the existing law enforcement agencies, it is important to keep this new agency free from the malpractice that is rampant in the nation’s civil service system. The need to establish an organizational culture that is based on integrity became critical to ensure that the officers could reject any undue influences and the attempt to clean up the bureaucracy could be made. The study sought to develop a conceptual framework of organizational culture in the law enforcement agencies by identifying the dimensions of the organizational culture in KPK. The methodology used in this study is the qualitative approach with semi-structured interview. The study utilized the data from interviews transcripts to determine the dimensions of the organizational culture of KPK as an anti-corruption agency. The organizational culture dimensions could be developed into research instrument and used by KPK to assess the impact that an organizational culture might have to the staff attitudes, behavior, and performance. Keywords: Anti-Corruption Agency, KPK, Organizational Culture, Qualitative StudyÂ
THE EFFECT OF MANAGERIAL OWNERSHIP, PRIVATE INSTITUTIONAL OWNERSHIP, STATE-OWNED INSTITUTIONAL OWNERSHIP AND PROFITABILITY TOWARDS DIVIDEND POLICY IN BANKING INDUSTRY
This research aims to determine the effect of managerial ownership, private institutional ownership, state-owned institutional ownership and profitability towards dividend policy in banking industry. The research model uses dividend policy to reflect the agency issues and conflict of interests between agent (manager) and principle (shareholder). This research is categorized as causal comparative research. The sample of this research is bank companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2012-2016. The data needed for this research is collected from each company’s annual report available in idx.co.id. This research use data panel regression analysis method. The results of this research show that the managerial and private institutional ownership have negative and insignificant effect towards dividend policy in banking companies in Indonesia. The state-owned institution ownership has positive and significant effect towards dividend policy in banking companies in Indonesia. Profitability has positive and insignificant effect towards dividend policy in banking companies in Indonesia
EVALUATION OF INFLIGHT ADVERTISING EFFECTIVENESS CASE STUDY: PT. ULTRA SAKTI
Abstract. These days advertisers are ceaselessly searching for better approaches to communicate with their customers. Advertisers attempted to characterize and clarify customer\u27s intention by utilizing diverse models and applying different systems for enhancing brand awareness. Unintentionally, airplane can be utilized by an advertiser to be a media of promotion, it is generally named as inflight advertising. Airasia has been using Inflight Advertising as a media for a company to advertise its product, and currently PT. ULTRA SAKTI is utilizing along AirAsia’s cabin as their media of advertisement, the products of PT ULTRA SAKTI that are promoted along the cabin side are FreshCare, MADU TJ and Hot In Cream. This paper can help advertiser to insight about inflight advertising effectiveness. Using qualitative and quantitative approach to collect the data from the passenger of AirAsia. The data were obtained from interview and surveys on AIDA Model variables with Air Asia passenger. This research found that inflight advertising has significant influence to attract attention, trigger interest, stimulate desire and urge action. This research also found that most of the respondents of passenger AirAsia still remember about this inflight advertising. In addition, the perception is showing the positive sights. Researcher then recommend the company to give more emotional shopping experience, so when the passenger has already seen the advertisement, the passenger will also see that the company gives a kind of promos, discount or something that can attract.Keywords: Inflight Advertising, AIDA Model, Perception, Indonesia AirAsia, PT. APPLICATION OF RISK MANAGEMENT AND TIME STUDY TO TOTAL COMPENSATION DESIGN: CASE STUDY OF FA BERSAUDARA AS PARTNER OF LG ELECTRONIC INDONESIA
Abstract.  LG Electronic Indonesia (LGEI), one of popular electronics brand in Indonesia created a new system in aftersales service section. The new system is making the aftersales divisions separated from LG Electronic Indonesia and it is handled now by a third party as Authorized Service Center (ASC). In this current conditions, FA Bersaudara has many service delays in every month that could not be finished. From the early research showing the employees unsatisfied with current compensation design system. So that, this research is provided to design the compensation system especially cash compensation that could increase the employees’ satisfaction with time study and risk management approach. Time study is being focused on because this theory is giving more fairness with detained compensation based on level of job. The risk management will focus on the cost that can be maintained by company to pay to employees as the part of the total compensation. This research use the Microsoft excel as software to calculating the number of standard time and also expected value from risks. From this research, it can be concluded that the total compensation is based on basic salary, fuel and food compensation, working time and other related risks. These factors may be different with prior compensation system which compensation is solely based on two factors which are basic salary and fuel and food compensation with no regards of working time and other related risks. There is significant difference between compensation system with standardized time calculation and risk and compensation system with no consideration in calculating related risk and standardized working time. The cost that raised from risk adjustment can be mitigated by using non-insurance transfer and insurance methods. Keywords: compensation, time study, risk managemen
ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY STUDY OF BLACKSTONE COFFEE
Abstract. The growth of coffee industry in the world keeps increasing. Coffee is constantly changing from a daily morning routine to a part of modern lifestyle. This phenomenon gives a huge possibility for coffee shop owners to draw their market. PT Blackstone is a new start-up company that founded recently in Indonesia that wants to enter coffee business. Based in Jakarta, Blackstone plans to invest in a new coffee shop business. The author intends to conduct a feasibility study to assess the investment in coffee shop business for PT Blackstone. The feasibility study uses financial tools such as profitability to determine profit margins, net present value (NPV) to consider the time value of money, internal rate of return (IRR) to calculate the discount rate of an investment, and lastly the payback period to evaluate proposed investment in how long it gets the return of the capital. After collecting the data, the author will process the data to extract the information needed for analysis which is the next step. The result of this economic feasibility study for PT Blackstone is feasible despite the profitability index that indicates no profitability. SEED CAPITAL FINANCING VALUATION OF M-HEALTH SERVICE STARTUP CASE STUDY: CAGEUR.IN
Abstract—Mobile Health or M-Health has becoming more popular in the effort of supporting healthcare services through mobile apps. In Indonesia, the government tries to reach a Universal Health Coverage (UHC) through its National Insurance program called JKN (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional). As the growing members of JKN to reach the UHC, the number of patients who are going to go to the clinics will also increased. Sick patients will make clinics business spend higher cost that eventually will make them suffer from heavy losses. Cageur.in company is a startup founded in 2016 that tries to help reducing the cost of the clinics by reducing the number of sick patients through its digital platform for clinics. However they are still in the seed stage without any revenues and require some capital to finance its operational. Therefore they need to find a suitable source of financing to support their business. The purposes of this research are to find Cageur.in enterprise value in order to prepare Cageur.in to seek for seed capital financing. We will apply several valuation methods which are recommended for valuating the seed stage startups. From the assessment of five valuation methods the results show Berkus method generates USD 1,400,000 valuation, Scorecard method shows USD 900,999, Risk Factor Summation method shows USD 1,320,956, DCF shows a USD USD4,897,766 valuation and Venture capital method shows a USD USD 4,398,765 valuation. For a seed stage startup like Cageur.in, Berkus, Scorecard and Risk Factor Summation method are more preferable than the two following methods which are DCF and VC method. This is due to the lack of financial records that makes finding the right input factors used the later methods such as growth rates, cost of capital and other underlying financial assumptions for forecasting its future financial projections is difficult.Keyword: Financing, Healthcare, Seed Stage, Startup, Startup Valuatio
BUSINESS STRATEGY ANALYSIS FOR TAHU SARIBUMI RESTAURANT
Abstract. Tahu Saribumi is a tofu restaurant that has been established from 1971 and serves tofu as the main dish. The restaurant located approximately 3 km from the downtown of Sumedang City. Tahu Saribumi considered a senior tofu restaurant with loyal customers since its establishment. Tahu Saribumi restaurant has experienced a decrease in revenue since 2014. The purpose of this paper is to recommend a business strategy for Tahu Saribumi Sumedang in order to stabilize their restaurant financial situation. This paper aim to formulate business strategy using strategic management approach. To do so, this paper try to identify the internal and external environment conditions of the restaurant. Qualitative and quantitative method are implemented using primary and secondary data. Primary data was gained by conducting in-depth interview with restaurant owner, staff, and customers. Secondary data was gained from articles, reports, and websites. The analysis is conducted using SFAS analysis. Result of analysis shows that while Tahu Saribumi is faced with various external opportunity, the business itself still have several major weaknesses that needs to be improved. The recommended suggestion is to create a plan for Tahu Saribumi, consists of short term which is developing new new product development and marketing strategy. STAFF SCHEDULE ANALYSIS OF PHARMACY SERVICES USING SIMULATION CASE STUDY: BPJS MEDIKA ANTAPANI
Abstract. BPJS (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial) is a public health insurance agency in Indonesia. BPJS covers the services of doctors, pharmacists and others. With only a small monthly fee, people can get free health service and get free medication as well. Because of the many advantages provided by BPJS, the number of BPJS users in Indonesia increased dramatically, in 2016 there are 163,327,183 people who become BPJS users. To compensate for this increase, healthcare providers need to improve their services for the patients. One of them is a pharmacy installation. In Bandung, there are only three pharmacies of BPJS that serve the taking of chronic drugs or drugs needed in the long term that called BPJS PPK-2. One of them is BPJS Medika Antapani Pharmacy which is committed to provide the best service. According to the research, there is a close relationship between customer satisfaction with how long waiting time in pharmacy service. The cause of waiting time is staff schedule and staff allocation applied to pharmacy installation that is going well or not. This research will discuss the staff scheduling analysis at BPJS Medika Antapani Pharmacy by using simulation. For the first stage, analyzed how the business process at BPJS Medika Antapani Pharmacy. Then measure how long process time on each activity calculated using Time Study. The process time will be checked with the control chart using Minitab application and tested the data is in control or not. And finally, create a model that fits the reality conditions to run the simulation using iGrafx application. From this simulation, the staff scheduling analysis and staff allocation to cycle time, waiting time, and resource utilization are obtained. THE RELATIONSHIP OF CREDIT CHARACTERITICS AND COAL PRICE WITH REPAYMENT CAPACITY: CASE STUDY OF A HEAVY EQUIPMENT LEASING COMPANY
Abstract. Deputy of OJK also said that in 2015, heavy equipment leasing company has the highest level of non-performing financing (NPF) compared to other leasing with 4.34%. This research has an aim to find the determinants of NPF in a heavy-equipment leasing company. The method used is multi-linear regression and logistic regression. This research used two methods because the dependent variable could be interpreted using two ways, continuous variables and binary. The independent variables used are amount of financing, amount of security deposit, effective rate, tenor, percentage of financing, age of contract and coal price. For the dependent variable used is the NPF status itself drawn from the lessee’s maximum overdue days. The result for multi-linear regression shows amount of financing, tenor, percentage of financing and coal price have positive relationship with NPF. Also, age of contract has negative relationship with NPF. Logistic regression result shows that percentage of financing and tenor have positive relationship with NPF and age of contract has negative relationship with NPF. ANALYZING OHANIAN’S SOURCE CREDIBILITY MODEL ON 4 YOUTUBE MUSICIANS
Abstract.Social media is the biggest marketing media today. One of the biggest social media today is YouTube and one of the biggest category in YouTube is music, and the content creators are called YouTube musicians. YouTube musicians are content creators who make videos with their musical performance. With publishing themselves through YouTube, they can get noticed and eventually, get famous. But this doesn’t affect everyone on YouTube because some videos become viral, the other videos may be overshadowed by it. With this phenomenon, many other newcomers want to try to become famous by doing the same thing, but they’re confused about their strategy to make the videos to effectively gain views. So, the goal of this research is to analyze the content strategy of four YouTubers using qualitative content analysis from four YouTube musicians, two of them have more subscribers from the other two. The result of the study shows that ‘attractiveness’ is very important for making music video content.
