    MATERIAL REQUIREMENT PLANNING CASE STUDY OF DONAT MADU CIHANJUANG BATUSANGKAR

    Abstract. Inventory management is an important component amongst the most vital segments in operation management, as this zone has been a central management function in material management system. It is likewise a crucial aspect of management, since stock is one of the significant financial assets of a business that can in indirect way influence profitability. This study chose Donat Madu Cihanjuang Batusangkar to be the example case study because this shop doesn’t have any inventory management. The study is done to give suggestion to the manager on the inventory management fit to the shop condition. This study is done using forecasting method and MRP. The objective is to decide which forecasting method and inventory method is the most fitting to be used in Donat Madu Cihanjuang Batusangkar. The forecasting method this study use is Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing, Holt’s Model, and Winter’s Model technique. For the inventory management, the study use Material Requirement Planning by comparing two lot sizing techniques which is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) with Reorder-point and Lot-for-Lot. The study is starting with forecasting the demand for five months historical data. The demand forecasted is in the period of days. After forecasting then the study proceeds to do Material Requirement Planning using the three lot sizing techniques. The result from comparing all four of the forecasting techniques is that the forecasting technique Winter’s Model is giving the lowest error compared to the other three. While between the two techniques, the Economic Order Quantity is giving lower cost. Based on the observation and the analysis, researcher then recommend starting using inventory management, if possible the one the researcher did in this study. And also, researcher suggest the shop to save the historical data be it demand, ordering, or finance data, as it will possibly be helpful in the continuation of the shop in the future.Keyword: Inventory, Forecasting, Material Requirement Planning, Raw Materia

    Abstract. As globalization rise the competitions of education field become quiet competitive. The improvement of the learning program always becomes a competition between university and institution. Where student satisfaction commonly used to evaluate the service program in higher education. The evaluation later will be used to develop their program. As the program is designed there are several aspects that need to be considered. One of them is quality assurance. The quality assurance is applied on the learning design that later become part of student experience. The objective of this research is to measure the influence of student experience toward student satisfaction.The data collected using questionnaire. The sample method used in this research is random sampling method and Slovin’s formula to calculate the amount of sample need. As the result 296 data of respondent is collected, the data then analyzed using classical assumption and simple linear regression. To measure the influence of independent variables (student experience measured by quality assurance attribute) to the dependent variable (student satisfaction).The result shown that student satisfaction is 30.8% influenced by the student experience. Furthermore, each of quality assurance attribute has positive relationship with the student satisfaction. This study also finds that the designed grading policy has big influence toward the student satisfaction and also the only attribute that can influence other three attribute. This finding can be a reason for SBM ITB to give more attention on designing quality assurance in order to increase the student satisfaction.Keyword: Education, Student experience, Student satisfaction, Quality assurance, Quantitative research

    ANALYZING THE INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP STYLE TOWARD EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN MAJESTIC EVENT ORGANIZER

    Abstract. One of the factors that influence employee performance is leadership style that is applied by the leader in its company. This research is conducted in Majestic Event Organizer. The employees feel dissatisfaction toward the authoritarian leadership style that has being implemented by the superior, thus their performance tend to be declining and below the standard. This research is conducted to identify the influence of transformational, transactional, authoritarian and laissez-faire leadership style towards the employee performance whether the influence is positive or negative. To collect the data, the researcher used quantitative approach by utilizing online questionnaire to 35 members. The next step is the researcher analyzed the data by Multiple Linear Regression. The result of this study support the hypothesis where the transformational, transactional and laissez-faire leadership has positive influence towards the employee performance. Meanwhile, authoritarian leadership has a negative influence towards the employee performance. However, the transactional and laissez-faire leadership have insignificant influence toward the employee performance while the transformational and authoritarian leadership have significant influence toward employee performance.     THE EFFICIENCY OF COMMERCIAL BANKS IN INDONESIA (CASE STUDY 19 COMMERCIAL BANKS IN INDONESIA PERIOD 2008-2017)

    Abstract. Background: . The purpose of this research is to analyze the technical eficiency of the commercial banks in Indonesia from 2008 until 2017. This research used 19 commercial banks that listed on BUKU 3 and BUKU 4 in Indonesia. Methods: Non-parametric Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was calculated using intermediation approach, output oriented, and using Variable return to scale (VRS). This research using total deposits, fixed asset, and price of labor as the input and using total loan and income as the output. Results: The result of this research shows that Only BRI, MANDIRI, MIZUHO and SUMITOMO MITSUI have 100% of efficiency from 2008 to 2017, meanwhile BNI, BJB, MAYBANK, OCBC and MEGA never reach 100% of efficiency in the same period. Conclusion: not all the commercial banks from BUKU 3 and BUKU 4 already efficient, and for the others banks in this research can use BRI, MANDIRI, MIZUHO and SUMITOMO MITSUI as the bencmark to keep the bank efficiency. In th eother hand, all of those banks may have to increase 6,8% of the output to reach the effciency score without requiring the additional input.Keywords: Efficiency, Banking, Data Envelopment Analysi

    Abstract. The coffee industry has proliferated in big cities, especially the city of Bandung. The rapid development makes every coffee shop requires strategies to survive. One good marketing activity as a strategy that can be done to compete is by providing excellent quality service. Likewise, with Freddo Coffee Shop, they have experienced a decline in revenue for three consecutive months and want to get out of the problem by improving the quality of service and creating loyalty from customers. So, the purpose of this research is to evaluate the service quality of Freddo Coffee Shop by finding out the gap between customer’s service expectation and customer’s service experience.This study uses several attributes such as tangible, reliability, assurance, responsiveness, and empathy. The results of the measurements displayed through the Importance-Performance Matrix. Respondents of this study are 200 visitors of Freddo Coffee Shop and data were processed using SPSS.     Abstract. In current times, running sport take the interest of the people of Indonesia, the development of this running sport led to the emergance of running communities. Beginning with the emergence of Indorunners running community in Jakarta in 2009, to develop to other area. One of the running community in the city of Bandung is BR20. BR20 was formed in 2012 in Bandung city, West Java. This community is used as a gathering place, to share stories, to find friends to run, or to show their social status. The emergence of this running community attracts companies, especially those relating to running sports, to promote their products by sponsoring running communities. Pocari Sweat as one of the packaging isotonic beverage products participates to enliven the running sport in Indonesia. Pocari Sweat gave sponsorship to BR20 community. Pocari Sweat as a party that gives sponsorship certainly has a certain hope for the running community and how the relationship with the community run BR20 can be formed. The purpose of this study is to explain the expectations of Pocari Sweat in sponsoring the running community, Acknowledge actual feedback from the running community against Pocari Sweat, and acknowledge the relation between Pocari Sweat and BR20 running community. The author will use the method of qualitative analysis, by conducting interviews and field observations.     FREE-TO-PLAY MOBILE GAME BUSINESS MAPPING WITH BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS

    Abstract. ‘Free-to-play’ games do not need any initial payment in order to play it, but they have an in-game feature which lets the player to buy contents within the game by using real money. Despite being ‘free-to-play’, many people had paid for the in-game contents. An approach using the business model canvas is used in order to give more detailed insight about the business as a whole. Through this paper, a brief description about the ‘free-to-play’ mobile game industry had been able to be described, followed by the viewpoints from the ‘free-to-play’ mobile game players and the developer’s side. The approach used on this paper is by using qualitative and quantitative approach, by doing interviews as well as distributing questionnaire. The method used to gain the data is by doing interview, questionnaire, and content analysis. The player profile in is summarized so that the developer can know more about the players who played their games. By the research result, it is found that most player play the game for the game’s own intrinsic appeal rather than other factors.     Abstract. The Study was purposed to find out the feasibility of beef cattles ystems (profit sharing system and payroll system) in District Tuban.. This research was conducted in Subdistrict Bancar, District Tuban because it is one of the subdistricts with the largest beef cattle population in Tuban. This research was conducted at Wahyu Utama farm and Plandi Rejo farm group. Wahyu Utama is a farm that uses a payroll system for farmers, while Plandi Rejo uses a profit sharing system. This study uses capital budgeting method which will be calculated NPV, IRR, and Payback Period of both kinds of system. The results of this study indicate that that in payroll system the NPV that will obtained is Rp 5,380,156,468, IRR obtained by 26.9%, Payback Period for 5 years and 7 days, and B/C Ratio is 1.207. While the company with profit sharing system will get NPV of Rp 42.677,854, IRR obtained by 12.5%, Payback Period will be achieved within 9 years 10 months, and B/C Ratio is 1.217.     Abstract: There a different explanation between the fact and the prediction regarding to the Islamic Banking growth. The fact shows they were good even faster than Conventional Banking but  predicted slow-moving by Karim Business Consulting (KBC) because of small capital and capacity related with shareholder. This research is conducted to provides new insight for decision maker based on the result of shareholders’ efficiency difference between two types of bank, and correlation between shareholders and growth of bank. Methods: This research using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to measure the efficiency since it is the common method, Spearman’s Correlation to analyze the correlation, Mann-Whitney test is applied to obtain statistically significant different. The data is annual report that consist of Balance Sheet and Income Statement of Conventional Banks and Islamic Commercial Bank during 2010-2016 that listed in Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK). Results:  The finding show there were a statistically significant different shareholders efficiency between two types of bank in 2010 and 2012. In 2010 Conventional Banks were more efficient and in 2012 shows the contrary. For both types of bank have a weak correlatin even very weak correlation for Conventional Banks. Conclusion: Islamic Commercial Banks shows a good progress as they starting to catch up the Conventonal Banks efficiency in 2012.      Abstract. Animation industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world with a market worth 12.01 billion dollars in 2017. Indonesia which has many cultures and large population has potential to develop animation industry. The major problem to develop the animation industry is the lacking information within actors and the rigid system in the network. This causes the innovation and value cannot be maximized in this industry. This research conducted to analyze the network characteristic, business model, business model innovation, and value outcome in animation industry network by using conceptual model of four dimension which are; network, business model, business model innovation, and value. This research is done by qualitative method by applying interview, observation, and secondary data. Three types of network are used as a case study, which are; vertical value net, horizontal value net, and multidimensional value net with case study of Trans TV (vertical value net), Cimahi Creative Association (horizontal value net), and Elex Media (multidimensional value net). The data is being compared with each network using cross-case analysis method using table. Trans TV and Elex Media using agreement control in the network, that causes business model innovation determined mostly by focal firm. While in Cimahi Creative Association using less control in the network that causes business model innovation determined fairly between focal actors and member.
