    PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN TES KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS PADA MATERI BANGUN RUANG SISI DATAR

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi matematis pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar yang tervalidasi, memiliki reliabilitas, daya pembeda (DP), dan indeks kesukaran (IK) yang memadai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan tahapan mengidentifikasi potensi dan masalah, mengumpulkan informasi, mendesain produk, melakukan validasi, melakukan revisi, melakukan uji coba, dan melakukan revisi akhir. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar validasi dan  lembar tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan komunikasi matematis. Validasi Instrumen tes dilakukan oleh 5 orang ahli yang terdiri dari 4 orang validator ahli, dan satu orang guru matematika. Subjek uji coba instrumen tes sebanyak 78 orang siswa kelas IX yang sudah belajar materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh seperangkat instrumen untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan komunikasi matematis yang memadai. Kata Kunci :Pengembangan, Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Komunikasi Matematis

    THE ROLE OF MATHEMATICAL REPRESENTATION AND DISPOSITION IN IMPROVING STUDENTS' MATHEMATICAL POWER

    The success of students in problem solving is highly dependent on the ability of students representing each developmental problems and a higher representation influenced by other representations. The aim of research to uncover and describe the capabilities and dispositions mathematical representation based on the students’ mathematical power. The subjects were students (prospective teachers of mathematics) academic year 2015/2016 Mathematics Education Department, Sultan Agung Islamic University. The numbers of students in this study were 29 students. The data collection technique using a mathematical representation tests, mathematical disposition questionnaires and interviews. The study concluded that the representation is affected by the disposition of the mathematical aspects of a person, through a positive disposition will help increase students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Furthermore, the mathematical representation will improve communication skills, perform conjecture and troubleshooting.
