    Abstract. This research is aimed to describe the creative thinking process of kinesthetic students in solving Mathematics problems based on Wallas Stage. The type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Data collection method used in this research is questionnaire, test, and interview. The research participants were 8 student's kinesthetic learning style on the X grade of Tissue Culture Cultivation Department of SMK Negeri 5 Jember. Based on Wallas Stage, creative thinking is classified into 4 stages, preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. The result of the research shows that kinesthetic learning style of student's creative thinking process is different, the student passed creative thinking stage as proposed by Wallas. Student of kinesthetic learning style shows the same behavior in passing preparation stage, they are able to dig up the beginning information in the task, in illumination stage students gain the inspiration to solve, in incubation stage there were 5 students who distract the attention by trying to write in blur paper and 3 students distract the attention by pausing for a moment and doing nothing, in verification stage there are 7 students that shows the same behavior which is rechecking problem solving to the reality and one student did not pass the verification stage.   Keywords: Creative thinking based on Wallas Stage, Kinesthetic Learning Style, Problem Solvin

The purpose of this research was to describe the thinking processes of students capable of Metacognition is low in an arithmetic problem. Method of data collection consists of questionnaire, tests and interviews. The subject of this research as much as 2 students are selected based on the results of questionnaire the ability of Metacognition with the lowest score.     Abstract. This research aims to describe students creative thinking skill of VIII grade SMP Negeri 4 Jember in solving mathematical problem using local wisdom PISA test of quantity content. The local wisdom used in this research comes from Jember regency, namely “petik laut†and “sangkar burung†in Dawuhan village. The subject is choosen from class VIII G based on the students' mathematical skill which is taken from the UTS score that has been obtained. The classification shows that there are 7 students with the high score, 23 students in the middle level, and 6 students get the low score. The research subjects consist of 2 students in each category of mathematical skill. Data analysis is done based on problem-solving tests and interviewing tests. The students with high math skills are able to achieve 2 key components of creative thinking, namely, fluency, and flexibility. The students with the middle level of math skills are able to achieve 1 key component of creative thinking, namely, fluency.     Abstract. High order thinking skill becomes a goal in the learning activities in Curriculum 2013. High order thinking skill is closely related to how students solve problems in mathematics. To measure students' level of problem solving skills requires an unusual test, which not only contains routine questions and low level questions. One of the mathematics lessons that can familiarize students to use their problem-solving power to measure students' high order thinking in the part of mathematics is the use of open-ended questions. A learning strategy that supports the use of open-ended questions is a collaborative learning strategy. The process of developing open-questions of high-level thinking through 4 stages, namely: (a) preliminary stage (preliminary); (B) the stage of self evaluation (analysis and design); (C) prototyping stage (validation, evaluation and revision); And (d) field test stage. The results of this study indicate that the developed instrument is worthy to be used to measure students' high-order thinking skill. It is based on the validity test with the value of Va generally reach 4.27 with valid interpretation. Reliability test obtained reliability tested in class VIII C and VIII D are 0.7999 and 0.8166 respectively with high interpretation. Based on the difficulty level test obtained the level of difficulty of open questions meet the criteria of a good degree of difficulty. Based on the result of the experiment, it is also known that overall students who have high order thinking skill with good category are 22 students (61,11%) from 36 students in class VIII C and 18 students (51,43%) from 35 students in class VIII D.   Key Words: Open Ended Problem, Measuring High Order Thinking Skills, Collaborative Learnin

    Abstract. The purpose of this research is to describe seventh grade medium mental retardation students' thinking process in solving mathematics problem of addition and subtraction of algebraic form similar rate. The type of research was a descriptive study with qualitative approach. Instruments that were used in this research are contextual mathematical problem, interview guidelines, and validation sheet. The coeficient of validation instrument test is 4,59 and the coeficient of validation instrument interview guidelines is 4,40. Methods of data collection in this research are test and interview. The reseach subject is two medium mental retardation students' in SMPLB-C TPA Balung. Thinking process were analyzed in this reseach based on thinking process indicator in Piaget's step. Based of this research was subjects had difficulty in understanding, remembering, and solving the problem. This is because the level of medium mental retardation intelligence to low i.e. between 40-54, so the subject had disequilibrium, assimilation or accommodation, equilibrium, and back to disequilibrium.     Abstract. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. The purpose of this research was to discribe visual-spatial intellegence of X MIPA 6 grade and X MIPA 7 grade based on students gender. Subject of this research consist of 67 students. Data collection methods in this research are Test and interviews. Indicators in this research were arranged based on four characteristics of visual and spatial intellegence, namely imagining, conceptualizing, problem-solving and pattern-seeking. The results of test and interviews will be analyzed by looking at achievements of the indicators from each characteristic of visual-spatial intellegence. Based on data analysis obtained tendency both male students and female students were only able to fulfill the first and second indicator from 4 indicators of imagining characteristics ; for conceptualizing characteristics, both male and female students tend to be able to fulfill each indicator; for problem-solving characteristic both male students and female students tend to be only able to fulfill the first indicator but the others were not; Next for pattern-seeking characteristic both male students and female students were able to search for the patterns and capable to fulfill any given indicators.     Abstract. This study describes the of critical thinking in solving mathematical problems basen on multiple intelegences. The instruments used are talent tests, math problem test, and interviews. Research subjects are many six students that is of two students with linguistic intelligence from class VIII F, two students with logical mathematical intelligence from class VIII F, and two students with spatial visual intelligence from class VIII A. Based on the results of analysis and discussion can be concluded that students with linguistic and logical mathematical intelligence meets all critical thinking indicators such as focus, reason, inference, situation, clarifity, and overview. Students with spatial visual intelligence meets critical thinking indicators such as focus, reason, inference, situation, clarifity.     Abstract. Radiator is heat exchanger which used in the cooling system of inside combustion engine, especially car and motorbike, but there are many tipe are used in airplane engine with piston and train engine. In car and motorbike engine, radiator use a liquid as cooler which this liquid will absorb heat from engine cylinder until head cylinder, next the liquid will flow into radiator to be cooled using outside air and if the liquid temperature is decrease, it will be pumped back to engine. This research is to create a mathematic modelling about fluid flow inside a radiator car with single row type. Mathematic model which created is a differential equation based on phisic law in two dimension. The force which effected in this radiator is a initial temperature, velocity of fluid, and viscousity of the fluid. The equation which used in this model is mass equation.     Abstract. An activity or thinking process that undertaken to make someone able to solve a mathematics problem have relation with the ability to remember, recognizing the relationship between mathematical concepts, so that it can bring up a new idea in making conclusion appropriately. Therefore, thinking reflectively is an ability to connect the knowledge that he get with his old knowledge, so that there is a conclusion to solve a new problem. This research was to describe student’s reflective thinking in solving mathematics problem for linear equation system with two variables. This research used qualitative descriptive research with the students of VIII A Class at SMP Negeri 4 Jember as the research subject. Intsrument that was used were written test in the form of 5 description questions and interview guidelines. From 32 students of VIII A class who took the test there were 5 students who followed the interview. The five subjects was students who fulfill all of  reflective thinking indicators then to be subjected for the research.     Abstract. The result of this development research is a product development of learning media, quality tested through valid criteria, practical and effective. The production of learning media in this development research used software adobe flash cs3 professional and also could be presented by accessing a website named mediabelajar.hol.es on sine rules material, cosine rules, and the area of the triangle if  two sides and one angle was known. This research was done with 10 stages adapted from Alessi and Trollip development model, that was (1) determining the needs and objectives of media development, (2) collecting references, (3) deepening material, (4) preliminary design, (5) designing and manufacturing flow charts, (6) designing and making media structure, (7) making Story Board media, (8) making a media by using Adobe flash CS3 Profesional, (9) make the supporting material that is website, as a place to put media that has been developed in order to be widely used, (10) evaluating and revising media.  This activity of developing a learning media produced a learning media that fulfilled criteria such as valid, practical and effective. Valid was indicated from the validation stage. Validator gave final score of material validation  was 87,5% and final score of media validation was 91,07%, because of that this media could be said valid media. Besides that, this media also had a practical value was 2.97 which can be included as quite practical category, and it had effectiveness value was 72.4% which was included as effective category.
