Professionell scheitern? Die Relevanz des Scheiterns für die Profession Soziale Arbeit im Kontext ihrer grundsätzlichen Widersprüchlichkeiten

sich einem bislang wenig erforschten, aber höchst relevanten Thema in der Sozialen Arbeit, welches in jüngst erschienenen Publikation jedoch Aufmerksamkeit erfährt: dem Phänomen des Scheiterns.
Ausgangspunkt ist die Annahme, dass die Profession Sozialer Arbeit durch strukturelle Widersprüchlichkeiten geprägt ist, die konstitutiv für professionelles Handeln in der Sozialen Arbeit sind und dass Scheitern als Möglichkeit damit bereits im professionellen Handeln verankert ist. Die zentrale Forschungsfrage lautet: "Inwiefern ist Scheitern für die Profession Soziale Arbeit relevant, unter Berücksichtigung ihrer grundsätzlichen Widersprüchlichkeiten?"
Die Arbeit diskutiert, warum Scheitern trotz seiner Alltäglichkeit im Fachdiskurs weitgehend unthematisiert bleibt und welche Folgen dies für das professionelle Selbstverständnis und die Praxis Sozialer Arbeit hat. Anhand einer literaturgestützten Analyse werden Dimensionen des Scheiterns sowie Gründe und Risiken seiner Nicht-Thematisierung herausgearbeitet. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Scheitern nicht nur Ausdruck professioneller Begrenztheit, sondern auch eine Ressource für Reflexion und Professionalisierung ist sowie als Teil von Professio-nalität diskutiert werden kann. Damit leistet die Arbeit einen Beitrag zur Professionsdebatte, indem sie Scheitern als konstitutives Moment der Sozialen Arbeit theoretisch fassbar macht
Palimpsests of Space, or the Need for Different Maps: The Case of a Cinematic Educational Walk

or intangible. Drawing on the co-author’s project The Dreamed History of Cinema in Podlasie, it proposes the creation of a “cinematic mental map” as a basis for an educational film walk. This map does not reflect the city’s geographical layout but rather its layers of memory, emotion, and narrative tied to specific figures and cinematic events. The paper reflects on the map as a storytelling tool and on the memory landscape as a cultural construct. Der Einfluss von Religiosität auf das persönliche Erleben von Menschen mit Sehschädigung – Eine qualitative Untersuchung mit Betroffenen
Full text linkDiese Bachelorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Einfluss von Religiosität auf das persönliche Erleben von Menschen mit Sehschädigung. Im Fokus stehen sowohl blinde als auch sehbehinderte Personen. Die Arbeit basiert auf einer empirischen Untersuchung im Rahmen der qualitativen Sozialforschung. Mithilfe leitfadengestützter Interviews wurden Erfahrungen, Perspektiven und individuelle Bedeutungszuschreibungen von Betroffenen erhoben und ausgewertet.
Die Analyse bewegt sich an der Schnittstelle von Disability Studies und Religionswissenschaften – ein Themenfeld, das laut aktuellem Forschungsstand bislang wenig untersucht wurde. Ziel der Arbeit war es, aufzuzeigen, welche Rolle Religiosität bei der Lebensbewältigung spielt, welche Ressourcen sie bieten kann und welche Herausforderungen damit verbunden sind.
Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Religiosität für viele Betroffene eine wichtige Quelle für Selbstwert, Akzeptanz und innere Zufriedenheit darstellt. Gleichzeitig wurden Barrieren innerhalb religiöser Institutionen thematisiert. Die Arbeit leistet einen Beitrag zur fachlichen Diskussion in der Sozialen Arbeit und betont die Bedeutung von Religiosität als Ressource im professionellen Handeln

Techno-Economic Analysis of Geospatial Green Hydrogen Potential Using Solar Photovoltaic in Niger: Application of PEM and Alkaline Water Electrolyzers
Full text linkThis study evaluates the techno-economic feasibility of solar-based green hydrogen potential for off-grid and utility-scale systems in Niger. The geospatial approach is first employed to identify the area available for green hydrogen production based on environmental and socio-technical constraints. Second, we evaluate the potential of green hydrogen production using a geographic information system (GIS) tool, followed by an economic analysis of the levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH) for alkaline and proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolyzers using fresh and desalinated water. The results show that the electricity generation potential is 311,617 TWh/year and 353,166 TWh/year for off-grid and utility-scale systems. The hydrogen potential using PEM (alkaline) water electrolyzers is calculated to be 5932 Mt/year and 6723 Mt/year (5694 Mt/year and 6454 Mt/year) for off-grid and utility-scale systems, respectively. The LCOH production potential decreases for PEM and alkaline water electrolyzers by 2030, ranging between 4.72–5.99 EUR/kgH2 and 5.05–6.37 EUR/kgH2 for off-grid and 4.09–5.21 EUR/kgH2 and 4.22–5.4 EUR/kgH2 for utility-scale systems
Modeling Homogeneous, Stratified, and Diffusion Combustion in Hydrogen SI Engines Using the Wiebe Approach
Full text linkThe use of hydrogen as a fuel for piston engines enables environmentally friendly and efficient operation. However, several challenges arise in the combustion process, limiting the development of hydrogen engines. These challenges include abnormal combustion, the high burning velocity of hydrogen-enriched mixtures, increased nitrogen oxide emissions, and others. A rational organization of hydrogen combustion can partially or fully mitigate these issues through the use of advanced methods such as late direct injection, charge stratification, dual injection, jet-guided operation, and others. However, mathematical models describing hydrogen combustion for these methods are still under development, complicating the optimization and refinement of hydrogen engines. Previously, we proposed a mathematical model based on Wiebe functions to describe premixed and diffusion combustion, as well as relatively slow combustion in lean-mixture zones, behind the flame front, and near-wall regions. This study further develops the model by accounting for the combined influence of the mixture composition and engine speed, mixture stratification, and the effects of injection and ignition parameters on premixed and diffusion combustion. Special attention is given to combustion modeling in an engine with single injection and jet-guided operation
An Alternative Livelihood for a Mining Community in the Sierra Gorda de Querétaro, Mexico. A Sustainability Analysis.
Full text linkThis thesis investigates the sustainability of proposed alternative livelihoods for the mining community of Camargo in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro, Mexico. With the impending ban on mercury mining under the Minamata Convention, the community faces the urgent need to transition to sustainable livelihoods. Utilizing the Sustainable Livelihoods Framework (SLF) as a guiding theoretical model, this study assesses the current state of the Five Capitals—human, social, natural, physical, and financial—within the community. It also examines the community's perceptions and attitudes toward these alternative livelihoods and evaluates the external influences, such as government and academic institutions, that impact their sustainability.
Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with community members, miners, and external stakeholders, and analyzed using qualitative coding in MAXQDA. The findings reveal a complex interplay between the Capitals of the community and the role that external stakeholders play, highlighting both opportunities and barriers to follow a path of sustainability.
The study concludes that the livelihoods with most potential for a sustainability path are the cultivation of regional species and the installation of a touristic point in the community. A holistic approach that integrates economic, social, and environmental dimensions, while at the same time considers a tailored natural resources management, is essential for ensuring the path of sustainability of the livelihoods. Points of leverage for change are presented for policy and advocacy, infrastructure development of the community, and considering local resource management in the design and implementation of sustainable livelihood strategies
Digitale Medien und Medienbildung in der sozialen Welt der Ganztagsschule
Full text linkDas vom BMBF-geförderte Forschungsprojekt „Ganztag-digital“ wurde von 2019 bis 2022 in Kooperation von fünf Arbeitsgruppen an der Technischen Hochschule Köln (Verbundleitung), an der Universität zu Köln, an der Philipps-Universität Marburg sowie am Grimme-Institut mit mehreren Teilstudien durchgeführt. Praxispartner war das Regionale Bildungsnetzwerk im Kreis Recklinghausen (NRW). Im Forschungsprojekt wurde sich mit der Frage auseinandergesetzt, wie verschiedene Bildungsorte, -settings und -prozesse im Bildungskontext der Ganztagsschule (Sek. Powersharing in der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit: machtkritische Überlegungen zu einer konzeptionellen Umgestaltung
Full text linkDie Arbeit untersucht die Machtverhältnisse in der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit (OKJA) und fragt, wie diese machtkritisch und nachhaltig umgestaltet werden können. Ausgangspunkt ist die Beobachtung, dass trotz der Leitprinzipien von Offenheit, Partizipation und Freiwilligkeit strukturelle Machtasymmetrien den Alltag der OKJA prägen. Theoretisch stützt sich die Arbeit auf Michel Foucaults Analytik der Macht, Henri Lefebvres Raumtheorie sowie auf Konzepte von Empowerment und Powersharing. Methodisch erfolgt eine konzeptionelle und theoretisch-analytische Auseinandersetzung, in der diese Ansätze systematisch miteinander verknüpft und auf das Arbeitsfeld der OKJA übertragen werden. Powersharing wird dabei nicht als Methode, sondern als solidarische Praxis verstanden, die auf der Verantwortungsübernahme privilegierter Akteur:innen und auf einer strukturellen Umverteilung von Macht basiert. Mithilfe des Konzeptionsentwicklungsmodells nach Hiltrud von Spiegel werden die theoretischen Erkenntnisse praxisbezogen gerahmt. Als Ergebnis entwickelt die Arbeit konkrete Ansatzpunkte für eine machtkritische Umgestaltung der OKJA, insbesondere in den Bereichen Raumgestaltung, Diskursräume, normierende Praktiken und professionsethische Solidarität. Insgesamt zeigt die Arbeit, dass eine konsequente Verankerung von Powersharing das Potenzial hat, die OKJA über bloße Partizipation hinaus zu einem solidarischen und emanzipatorischen Handlungsraum weiterzuentwickeln
