    The purpose of this research is to examining the differences of learning result between using and without teaching of Cognitive Conflict Strategy With Concept Mapping and learning activity between using and without teaching of Cognitive Conflict Strategy With Concept Mapping. Method of research is experimental research. Data to determine learning result be derived by the value of pre-test and post-test of the experimental class and control class. The average value of pre-test and post-test that was obtained from the experimental class is 30.28 and 73.19. The average value of pre-test and post-test from the control class is 29.57 and 66.23. Student learning activities during use Cognitive Conflict Strategy With Concept Mapping is obtained percentage value that be better than the control class . The result of data analysis proves that learning using Cognitive Conflict Strategy With Concept Mapping be better than control class learning at the student’s learning activities and learning result

    The purpose of this research is to examining authority of students learningoutcomes between collaborative learning model with a simple experiment withconventional learning and learning activities of students while using collaborative learningmodel. Method of research is experimental research. Data to determine learning outcomesderived from the value of pre-test and post-test of the experimental class and control class.The average value of post-test that was obtained from the experimental class is 54,46. Theaverage value of post-test than the control class is 54,85. Student activities durung quantumlearing model with experiment method is a good category. The result of data analysisproves that learning using quantum learning model with a simple experiment better thancontrol class learning at the learning activities their students, but the students learningoutcomes is less

    The purpose of this research: 1) analyze the validity; 2) the effectivity of the contextual-based physics learning module on the subject of global warming for high school students. This research is research and development (R&D). The development model used refers to the Nieeven (2006) model which includes 3 stages, namely 1) preliminary research, 2) prototyping stage, 3) assessment stage. Data collection techniques used are interviews and literature study. The data analysis used is expert validation and practicality data analysis. Practical data analysis using quantitative descriptive. This data analysis technique is used to process the data obtained through a questionnaire in the form of a descriptive percentage. The percentage of data obtained from the lecturer's response questionnaire was calculated based on the Guttman scale. The results showed that: 1) expert validity was 3.77 with very valid criteria and with a reliability coefficient of 95%. While user validation shows very valid criteria with user validity  results of 3.78 and with a reliability coefficient of 100%. Thus, this contextual-based physics module can be used as teaching material on global warming material. 2) The effectiveness of the calculated pretest and posttest results obtained an N-gain score of 0.79 which is included in the high category. So, the contextual-based physics learning module on the subject of global warming that was developed has effective criteria in improving student learning outcomes at SMAN 2 Jember, so it is suitable to be used as physics

    This study concentrated of Problem-Based Learning model (PBL) with images media of physics phenomena in learning Science-Physics at Junior High School. This study aims:1) to describe the physics students during learning activities by PBL model with images media of physics phenomena in learning Science-PhysicsatJunior High School; and 2) to study the influence of PBL model with images media of physics phenomena to the studentsScience-Physicsachievements atJunior High School. The kind of the study is "experiment" by post-test only control group design. The study area is determinedby purposive sampling area. Populationare students of class VII MTsN 1 Bondowoso semester academic year 2013/2014. Samples are students of class VIID as an experiment and class VIICas a control class. Data collection techniques in this study are interview, documentation, observation, and testing. Data analysis techniques aredescriptivefor describe students’ physics learning activities and the Independent-Sample Ttest using SPSS version 16 for determining the effect of PBL modelwith images media of physics phenomenato students’Science-Physics achievement.The results show that:students’ physics learning activities are 93% and the value of p (significance) are 0,001 (H0 rejected). The study can be concludedthat: 1) learning activities of students during the study of physics using a of Problem-Based Learning model (PBL) with images media of physics phenomenaare included in very active category; and 2) ProblemBased Learning model (PBL) with images media of physics phenomenasignificanty influences anstudents’Science-Physicsachievement at class VII MTsN 1 Bondowoso

    The objectives of this study were (1) to describe an increase in activity of a class VIII student B SMPN 7 Jember during the learning of physics through the implementation of cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share with practical methods, (2) describe an increase in mastery learning outcomes physics class students VIII B SMPN 7 Jember after participating in learning physics through the implementation of cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share with a practical method. This type of research used in this study is action research conducted with the aim of improving the quality of instructional practices in the classroom. The subject of research is the students VIII B SMPN 7 Jember Academic Year 2012/2013. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation and testing.     Learning material package by analysis of real events in the images and issues discourses is the physics learning material that consists of images events or physics phenomenon with the written expression that contains of problems to be solve and be analyzed through discussion by using physics concepts. The purposes of this research are (1) To study the increase of students’ physics achievement after using a learning material package with the analysis of real events in the images and issues discourses, and (2) To describe students’ learning activities during learning process. Kinds of research is a quasi experiment research by using one group pretest post-test design. The technique of data collection in this research are observation, documentation, interview, and test. The data analysis uses N-Gain to calculate the increase of learning achievement and percentage of students activities. Result of the study are (1) N-Gain value is 0.51, its means the students’ physics achievements increasing in medium category and (2) The students’ learning activities is 69.4%, it is called active. This study can be concluded that (1) Students’ physics achievements increasings in medium category, and (2) Students’ learning activities during joins the physics learning by using learning material package with the analysis of real events in the images and discourse issue are in active category

    Think Pair Share cooperative model-based Virtual Laboratory is a view which expected by the researcher for the challenges in a globalized world, especially to improve the quality of physics learning in high school students (SMA). This research purpose: (1) to assess differences in student learning achievement significantly between models that use Think Pair Share cooperative model-based Virtual Laboratory and the direct teaching model on physics learning in SMA, (2) to describe the student’s motivation after the learning process using Think Pair Share cooperative model-based Virtual Laboratory on physics learning in SMA. This type of research is experimental research, where research in SMA Balung. District puposive determined by the method of sampling areas on odd semester in 2013/2014. The samples were taken with a random sampling method previously tested homogeneity by analysis using SPSS against the population. The sample in this research is student of class XII IPA 1 used as the control class and class XII IPA 3 as the experiment class. Instrument data collection were obtained from differences of Pre and Post-Test (learning achievement) were analyzed by t-test and the questionnaire (student’s motivation) were analyzed by percentage student motivation formula. From the data analysis, it can be concluded: 1) There is a differences in student learning achievement significantly between models that use Think Pair Share cooperative model-based Virtual Laboratory and the direct teaching model in physics learning class XII IPA of students of SMA Balung. With the value of taccount (10.7 )> ttable (1.990) so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. 2) Student’s motivation of class XII IPA 3 SMA Balung  after learning process using Think Pair Share cooperative model-based Virtual Laboratory is very high,  the percentage of student’s motivation category q is 89.09% and in the range 85% ≤ q ≤ 100% with very high criteria

One of the forces acting on a fluid that is buoyancy. buoyancy force is committed against an object by a static fluid where object was submerged. Reviewed on geometry, objects has many forms, but in this study used three types of blocks, cubes, and Prism. These three objects are made of the same material that is made of wood Falcataria Albazia and the third volume objects are the same. The depth of that question is the depth of submerged object. In this study measured buoyancy at different depths and load used is the same. This research aims to know the influence of the shape and depth of the object against buoyancy. The results showed the existence of a difference value of buoyancy on the respective objects and depth. The results of the third volume difference can the objects submerged and floating style value differences at each depth. So it can be inferred that the shape of objects and depth affect buoyancy

    STAD cooperative learning model of a CTL based learning approach that emphasizes on the fact that learning becomes meaningful. This study aims to implement STAD cooperative learning model of CTL based approach to learning physics in high school. This research is an experimental research design with Post - test Only Control Design. Population taken is class X students of SMAN 1 Ambulu Jember Year 2013/2014. Data collection techniques used include , observation , tests , interviews , and documentation. The results of the data analysis by t test to post-test results between the experimental class and control class obtained the Sig. ( 2 - tailed ) of 0.000 or less than 0.05. This means that there are significant differences between the results of studying physics students between classes using STAD cooperative model -based approach to contextual teaching and learning ( CTL ) with a class that uses hands-on learning. The average percentage of student learning activity observed in the experimental class was 72.22 % are active category
