    The purpose of this research is to know how the increasing multirepresentation ability in class VII-A SMP Negeri 14 Jember after having the cooperative learning model think pair share with demonstration method . The type of this research is classroom action research (CAR). The data of multirepresentation ability is gotten by scoring post-test. The data analysis uses N-gain show that there is increasing verbal representation ability of verbal representation from g = 0.44 in cycle 1 , g = 0.56 in cycle 2 and g = 0.63 in cycle 3 ; mathematical representation from g = 0.21 in cycle 1 , g = 0.35 in cycle 2 and g = 0.36 in cycle 3 ; image representation from g = 0.31 in cycle 1 , g = 0.48 in cycle 2 and g = 0.49 in cycle 3 ; graphical representation from g = 0.34 in cycle 1 , g = 0.30 in cycle 2 and g = 0.35 in cycle 3 . The result of this data analysis proof that learning use cooperative learning model to think pair share with demonstration method is able to increasing multirepresentation ability in class VII-A SMP Negeri 14 Jember

    PENERAPAN MODEL INQUIRY DENGAN TEKNIK MIND MAPPING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA-FISIKA DI MTs

    This study concentrated of inquiry model with mind mapping in science physics instruction. This study aimed: 1) to study the differences between the abilities of cognitive products students who learned by inquiry model with mind mapping and without mind mapping; 2) to describe the science process skills of students with learning models of inquiry with mind mapping; and 3) to study the differences between student’s motivation who learned by inquiry model with mind mapping and without mind mapping. The kind of this study was an experiment by post-test only control group design. The determination of area research was purposive sampling. Sample of the study were students in grade VII of MTsN Paiton at odd semester in academic year 2013/2014. The students in grade VIIB were as an experiment class and students in grade VIIC as a control class. Technique to collect the data were: interview, documentation, observation, tests, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by inferential statistics using t-test by SPSS version 20. The results of t-test analysis using independent sample t-test on: student’s cognitive abilities and motivation scores were respectively p-value 0.002 (0.002  0.05) and 0.005 (0.005  0.05). It can be said that both of them were  rejected. In addition, the results of analysis of science process skills is 85.41 % (75 % ≤ 85.41 % ≤ 100 % ) so it is in good categories. The research can be conclused that: 1) There was significantly difference the abilities of cognitive products science-physics between the students who learned by inquiry model with mind mapping and without mind mapping; 2). Percentage of science process skills’ students in experiment during followed Physics learning science were in good categories; and  3). There was significantly difference student’s motivation between students who learned by inquiry model with mind mapping and without mind mappin

    Abstract: An important stage that will determine the quality of ready-to-consume coffee is roasting. This method has been developed and used to obtain the best and specific quality of coffee brewing. In addition to the method used, the type of coffee greatly influences the quality characteristics of the brewed coffee produced. Coffee beans will not have a high commercial value before being subjected to a roasting process for the formation of the best aroma and taste. Roasting is a combination of time and temperature that changes the structure and chemical properties in coffee beans through the pyrolysis process. Even high-quality coffee beans cannot have maximum aroma and flavor if the roasting process is not done properly. This research uses a roasting machine type Hot Air Roasting or with other names Air Roasting is a different roasted coffee method. Coffee roasting process is not on the surface of the roaster but in the air, this coffee roasting method was introduced by Michael Sivetz, a chemical engineer and consultant of the world coffee industry. Based on the results of this study that the decrease in density discussed in the previous paragraph shows that the longer the roasting, the weight of coffee will decrease because the water content in coffee beans has begun to decrease. This shows that the longer the coffee beans are roasted, the better the results of heating. This research process uses a hot air type roasting machine. Hot water is one type of roasting machine that is good and efficient, because the heating carried out by the machine uses electrical energy. The final results obtained in this study the temperature continues to rise but the density decreases. This shows the inverse relationship between temperature and density of coffee and the best roasting results and can be used for brewing robusta coffee at 200 ° C in 15-20 minutes.    Keywords: Hot Air Roasting, Robusta Coffe

    PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA KINESTETIK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA MATERI WUJUD ZAT DI SMP

      Kinesthetic media is a kind of teaching and learning media which needs touching between teacher and students. This research is a kind of development research which uses 4-D instructional development model that is modified to be 3-D instructional development model. The methods those are used in this research to collect data are validation paper, test, observation, documentation, and questionnaire. The objectives of this research are to analyze: 1) Validation of kinesthetic media; 2) Learning result of students; and 3) Learning motivation of students in physics learning state of matter material. This research shows that the kinesthetic media is scored 4.20 with valid category.   The rate of learning result of students is scored 63 and still under minimum score criteria. The rate of  learning motivation of students is scored 88 with a very motivated category

    Refractive index is one of the most important optical properties of a medium. Water is the most important liquid of human organism, knowledge the optical properties of water is very useful for solution of problems of biomedical optics. This experiment was measured the absolute refractive index of natural water at temperature of 5 0C – 50 0C with wavelength of violet (405 ± 10) nm, green (532 ± 10) nm, and red ray (652,5 ± 17,5) nm, by the minimum deviation prism method. The minimum deviation anggle of prism was obtained by lagrange interpolation method base on experimental data of the deviation anggle (δ), the incident anggle (i) and the transmition anggle (i’). The results of the experiment showed that the variation of refractive index of water depends on temperature and wavelength. The increase of water’s temperature will be followed by the decrese of refractive index of water, and its greatest value consecutive is the wavelength of the laser irradiation purple, red and green

    PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR INTERAKTIF BERBASIS IT POKOK BAHASAN GETARAN DAN GELOMBANG PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI SMP

    This research is motivated by the lack of variety of learning resources for teachers and students that make students less interested in science, especially physics maple. One of the learning that is expected to condition the learning becomes more enjoyable, meaningful, effective, and efficient. This study aims to (1) produce a valid interactive teaching materials, (2) determine student learning outcomes, and (3) students' response to learning science using interactive teaching materials. Test subjects developing interactive teaching materials in this research is the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 F Jember many as 28 students. As a data collection method in this research is the development of (1) the validation of experts to study the use of interactive teaching materials, (2) student learning outcomes, and (3) copies of the questionnaire responses of students towards learning science using interactive teaching materials. Data analysis used descriptive analysis of the results of the assessment validator science learning using interactive teaching materials are packaged in a CD learning. The development of interactive teaching materials using the 4-D model of development, interactive teaching materials produced enough validation average of 3.91. The test results of teaching materials and interactive teaching learning implementation shows that (1) successfully complete the learning outcomes of students in the classical KKM on the boundary 80 with an average 88.02%, and (2) students responded positively to an average of 71.5% of the study IPA uses interactive teaching materials. From the analysis it can be concluded that the interactive teaching materials capable of generating sufficient criteria for a valid instructional materials, student learning outcomes in the classical complete, and students respond positively to the interactive teaching materials

    This research was an experiment research to comprehend study result and student memory power (retention) in experiment class and control class. It used learning model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) that used student worksheet based on problem solving that integrate some texts in student worksheet concerning with physics subject and physics event that have been experienced, then arranged them to be an important parts and discussed by group discussion to get predictive answer which reputed true. The research design used Design Randomized Post Test Only Control Group. The data analysis used Independent Sample t-test. From the analysis result can be concluded that there was a significant differences not only between study result in experiment class and control class but also memory power (retention) in both of classes.&nbsp

    METODE EKSPERIMEN DENGAN TEKNIK ‘MASTER’ PADA PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA DI SMP

    Experiment method with ‘MASTER’ technique is a learning method using experiment method to solve the physics’s problem by phases in ‘MASTER’ technique. Experiment method with ‘MASTER’ technique is used to make the student prove the concept that learn by themselves using learning technique which in this technique there is applied of Accelerated Learning’s principles to increase the intelligences of the student and make the learning process pleasent. This research is a kind of experimental research which uses post-test only and control group design. The method that is used in this research to collect data are observation, test, and interview. Data analysis uses quantitative analysis based on post-test result using T-tes.The results of the analysis showed T-tes=2,209 at significant standard 5 % and degrees of freedom 68 show that the application of experiment method with ‘MASTER’ technique influence significantly to the physics learning result. The activities of the student showed the active categories with persentation 74,3 % in first meeting and 80,2 % in second meeting. This research shows that there is a significant effect of experiment method with ‘MASTER’ technique on the physics learning result and the student’s activities during the learning process using experiment method with ‘MASTER’ technique include in active categories

    The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world has forced governments to take various measures to suppress the transmission of the virus. One of the efforts made by the government in the education sector is learning that is carried out without face to face or done online. This online learning model is a policy issued by the government for the sustainability of learning at all levels of education. SMK as an educational institution that creates work-ready graduates so that it demands a learning model that is able to develop the concept of student skills. In physics learning, especially related to vibrations and waves which are still considered difficult for students. This study aims to analyze the online learning model of the concept of vibration and waves in vocational students during the Covid 19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative descriptive with the type of library research, where data is collected based on the results of a literature review such as books, journals, magazines, and articles. The results of the study show that the online learning model that is applied still has various kinds of obstacles in the process, especially on vibration and wave material for vocational students who need a learning media to be able to hone their skills.   Key word : Covid 19 Pandemic, e-learning model, SM

    PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KONFLIK KOGNITIF DENGAN METODE EKSPERIMEN DALAM PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA DI SMP

    The goals of this research were: (1) to know the activity of learn physics astudent during use the application of approach cognitive conflict with experiments method,(2) ) to analyze the different of students’ achievement use the application of cognitiveconflict approach with experiments method and using conventional learn. This study wasa true-experiment research by using Post Test Only Control Design. Determination ofresearch’s sample by cluster random sampling. Data collection method of this research useobservation, test, interview, and documentation. The students’s activities were analyzed byusing percentage, and the students’s achievement was analyzed by using SPSS 16. Theanalysis result shows that (1) the students’ activities in experiment class were better than incontrol class, (2) there were different of students’ achievement by using the application ofapproach cognitive conflict with experiments method and using conventional learn. Theanalysis result of this data proves application of cognitive conflict approach withexperiments method impact on the activity and result study grade VII in SMP
