Get PDFSengkalan constitutes a form of the Javanese society expressions. Sengkalan lamba has three elements, namely: sentence or words, figure, and year. Sengkalan casquette is a marker visualized in the form of pictures, patrimonies, statues, ornaments, carts representing an intention to deliver a particular message. Presenting sengkalan in a wording based on meanings and characteristics which refer to the sun, months, nature and forms to express the contents of intention loaded in the sentences. Developed from words and having presentation of word, a figur relates to synonyms, sound spelling, things and actions, similar intentions and meanings, and similarity in particular things, and so on. Get PDFThis article discusses the ideological aspects of the Ayat-Ayat Cinta novel. It is shown that the willingness for hegemony always goes hand in hand with the willingness for obtaining broader readership. Many interests are put in it with an assumption of the dominated subjects growing in number, but at the same time, the offered values have never been fully accepted as the dominating group expects. (Islamic group surrounding Habiburrahman El Shirazy). The text of AAC is full of tension between the two conflicting interests. On one hand, Islam is presented as universal, but on the other hand particular. Islam is also considred complete, but sometime needs the world to perfect itself. This condition is presented in the AAC for a particular reason. Islam-ness in the AAC is Islam that should be accepted by the mass. Islam-ness becomes an economic commodity. Get PDFCosmology of history is part of the philosophy of history that thorougly examines: causes, principles, nature, characters, patterns and goals of history. In the philosophy of history, there are two schools of thought relating to the issue of history movement: dynamic school of thought and the static school of thought. Meanwhile, there are different perspectives on the pattern of history. The first is a perspective arguing that the pattern of historical movement as linear. The second perspective believes that the pattern of historical movement is circular. Third, there is also a perspective arguing that history has a cyclical pattern. Based on this reality, the interpretation to movement pattern and changes of history is not single but multiple in nature.

Get PDFThis article discusses the Language Law of 24, 2009 in the context of social conditions of the Indonesian society, having implications on (1) the authority on formulating principles of Indonesian languange standardization (2) Its acceptance by the society, and (3) the challlenges to Indonesian language during the globalization era. The three issues are discussed by employing a critical discourse analytical framework focusing on textual aspect, discourse and social practical. In this context, the text of the Language Law is regarded as a constitutional discourse. Inside there is an ideological discourse function, meaning that the discourse constitutes a form of social practice and has dialectical relations to other social dimensions. Thus, its discourse practice analysis would provide us with a picture of creation and reproduction of power relations (the government formulating the law and its executing institutions, and society as its users. The dynasty politics, novel and newspaper, and religion became major sources of the handing down of nationalist values that rooted in the past. They provide inspirations for men of letters, poets, drama and art workers to immortilize various historical events in Indonesia. Recent development demonstrates a phenomenon of the truncated, superficial, and local nationalism. Solidarity for the victims of natural disasters, the oppressed people, football fans club solidarity, and solidarity for Ambalat, Simpadan, Palestine, Afghanistan, have proved the trend. Poetical experiences as an aesthetical appreciation tend to reject repetition. Both novels invite the readers to criticize the Javanese philosophy, its strenghts and weaknesses. The study to the novels reveals that the Javanese philosophy is a philosophy of values, especially ethics. This issue is deeply and broadly elaborated in terms of its truth and effectivity in conncetion with the Indonesian nation’s progress in particular and the world in general.

Mustafa Bisri poems is , in principle, can be approximated by hermenutik approach to spirituality. Poetry KH Mustafa Bisri not too difficult to understand. Based on a study conducted on the ten poems KH Mustafa Bisri , it can be seen that Islam is very strong political element in his poems. So , in an effort to gain and retain political power displayed in his poems Always he was guided by the teachings of Islam which has always been inherent in him. The views and criticisms Mustafa Bisri through his poems based on the moral Always political Islam that promotes good moral or good morals. Through poetry poet reminded various parties in Indonesia to improve themselves and redirecting itself on the completion of the reform as an act of gratitude towards independence had been achieved by the Indonesian nation.
