Art Residencies with Focus on Theatre
Get PDFTato bakalářská práce se věnuje uměleckým rezidencím se zaměřením na divadlo. Popisuje fenomén rezidencí v mezinárodním i českém kontextu. Rezidenční pobyty a programy jsou nástrojem mezinárodní i tuzemské umělecké spolupráce, dále projevem mobility profesionálů kreativního průmyslu. Skrze umělecké rezidence dochází ke kulturní výměně a dialogu, podporují kreativitu a živé umění. Síť rezidenčních center a nabídka rezidenčních programů se dynamicky rozrůstá a účast na tvůrčích pobytech se stala běžnou součástí kariér uměleckých pracovníků a profesionálů z oblasti kultury. Umělecké rezidence přispívají ke kulturnímu, sociálnímu i ekonomickému růstu potenciálu v místech svého působení a mnohdy jsou účinným nástrojem regenerace daných lokalit. Přináší mnoho benefitů a pozitivních externalit pro všechny strany, které se na realizaci rezidencí podílejí.
Práce čerpá z odborných publikací, článků a studií zahraničních i českých. Jejím záměrem je komplexní rozbor uměleckých tvůrčích rezidencí, ucelené zpracování jejich členění, typologie, fungování i historického vývoje. Mapuje a představuje aktuální situaci uměleckých rezidencí performativního umění v České republice, nabízí přehled podpůrných iniciativ a financování.
Výše zmíněné tak může být přínosným zdrojem informací pro čtenáře zajímající se o tuto problematiku z řad odborné i široké veřejnosti.This bachelor’s thesis deal with Artists’ Residencies with the focus on the theatre. It describes the phenomenon of residencies in international and Czech context. Residential stays and programmes are means of international and domestic cooperation of artists. Furthermore, they provide a mobility for creative industry professionals, cultural exchange and dialogue, support creativity and performing arts. The network of residential centres and the numbers of residential programmes has been developing rapidly. Partaking in artists’ residencies has become quite common in arts workers’ and culture professionals’ carriers.
Artists’ residencies contribute to the growth of cultural, social and economic potential at places where they are located. They frequently help to develop these locations while providing numerous benefits and positive externalities for all partaking parties.
The sources of the thesis include both international and Czech scholarly literature, articles and studies. The aim of the thesis is to analyse artists’ residencies, systematically mapping their classification, typology, functioning and historic development. It presents the domestic residencies’ current situation and an overview of support initiatives and funding.

Get PDFThis thesis seeks to analyze the representation of the youth in Lebanese cinema by exploring the sub-themes of different coming-of-age films made in Lebanon from the last decade and exploring how they are immediately connected to the country’s socio-political situation.
It also explores the evolution of these coming-of-age films and stories over the years, because of the introduction of new shifts in Lebanese society.

No full textPráce se zabývá situacemi performativního charakteru zkoumajícím či užívajícím prvky rituálu, jakožto potenciálu transformace i péče a reaguje tak přímo na moji praktickou část bakalářské práce. Dotýká se rovněž propojujícího a emancipačního aspektu fenoménu hry, rituality, nebo sdíleného zvukového pole a mapuje historii a vývoj tohoto prostředku. Pojednává rovněž o funkci masky, využívané v rámci rituálu a jejího potenciálu transformace identity. Zaměřuje se také na prožitek času a bezčasovosti, která je známá jako transcendentní čas a jeho psychoterapeutickou hodnotou. Zmíněná témata dávám do vztahu se současnými fenomenologickými a feministickými přístupy, jejichž prostřednictvím hledám cestu ke spravedlivější a empatičtější verzi společnosti.My work deals with situations of a performative nature, examining or using elements of ritual, as a potential for transformation and care and thus responds directly to the practical part of my bachelor's thesis. It also touches on the connecting and emancipatory aspect of the phenomenon of play, rituality, or a shared sound field and maps the history and development of this medium. It also discusses the function of masks, used within ritual and its potential to transform identity. It also focuses on the experience of time and timelessness known as transcendent time and its psychotherapeutic value. I relate the mentioned topics with contemporary phenomenological and feminist approaches, through which I seek a way to a fairer and more empathetic version of society

No full textTato práce se zabývá queer čtením filmů Doručovací služba čarodějky Kiki (1989), Cesta do fantazie (2001) a Zámek v oblacích (2004) z dílny Hajaa Mijazakiho, tzn. snaží se poukázat na postavy a situace v uvedených filmech, které mohou být interpetovány jako queer. Pracuje s předpokladem, že queer čtení vychází ze zaujetí recepční pozice, a je tedy možné jej provádět na jakémkoli textu, a se zohledněním dramaturgické stavby jednotlivých filmů, dle které pojmenovává důležité strukturální body filmů, vlastnosti a motivace postav a hlavní motivy filmů. Cílem práce je poukázat na queerness konotativně přítomnou ve filmové tvorbě pro dětského diváka a popsat, jak se v ní projevuje.This thesis examines queer reading of Hayao Miyazaki’s films Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), Spirited Away (2001) and Howl’s Moving Castle (2004), i. e. aspires to point out characters and situations that can be interpreted as queer. It works on the assumption that queer reading is based on taking a certain reception position and therefore is possible to be done on every text, with consideraton of the dramaturgical structure: major plot-points, characters and their motivations and the main motifs in the movies. The aim of this thesis is to point out and characterize the queerness that is present in films for children’s audience
A comparison and analysis of feature-length documentary projects with musical themes between 2010 and 2022
Get PDFV této teoretické bakalářské práci se zaměřím na „komunikační linku“ současných českých hudebních dokumentů. Přesněji řečeno budeme zkoumat, jakým způsobem se producenti a distributoři českých dokumentárních filmů s hudební tematikou snaží oslovit potenciální diváky a přesvědčit je o kvalitě či zajímavosti těchto filmů.
Analýza komunikační strategie těchto filmů bude vedena primárně pomocí metody komparace významných hudebních dokumentů vyrobených mezi lety 2010 a 2022, jejichž distribuce je primárně zaměřena na český trh. Provedeme srovnání metod, jakými se tyto projekty snažily oslovit zdejší publikum, pokusíme se zanalyzovat cílovou skupinu daných filmů, a také hlavní stručnou komunikační linku, pod níž byly tyto projekty inzerovány. Na závěr se v krátkosti také podíváme, jak úspěšně si komunikační strategie těchto projektů vedle vzhledem k datům o jejich sledovanosti a stopě, kterou v české společnosti zanechaly.
Nutno dodat, že toto období bylo na hudební filmy a dokumenty poměrně bohaté, a proto se budeme zaměřovat pouze na jejich užší výběr. Ten bude vytvořen jak podle úspěšnosti projektů vyjádřené jejich výslednou sledovaností, ale také podle společensko-kulturního významu projektů, popř. podle originality sdělení.
Výsledkem této práce by měl bát pokus o kategorizaci komunikačních sdělení jednotlivých typů hudebních dokumentů v kontextu české audiovize, případně alespoň nalezení určujících faktorů pro vytvoření jádra komunikační linky. Tento výsledek bude zdůrazněn v závěru práce.In this bachelor thesis I will be concentrating on the “line of communication” for contemporary Czech music documentaries. Specifically, we’ll be analyzing the ways in which Czech producers and distributors of music-documentary films attempt to approach their potential viewers and persuade them about the quality and intrigue their projects hold.
This will be done mostly through comparing various music documentaries produced between 2010 and 2022, the distribution of which is primarily aimed at the Czech market. We’ll compare the methods using which these projects aimed to approach the public and try to analyze the target audience of these projects as well as the core “message” used to promote given projects. To conclude, we’ll be taking a short look at how well the various communication strategies scored based on the number of viewers, and the mark these projects left on the Czech society.
It must be stated that the mentioned time period was fairly rich in music documentaries. That is why we’ll be only focusing on a select volume of projects, compiled by taking into consideration their respective success through number of viewers, as well as their socio-cultural significance or originality.
As a result of this thesis, I want to attempt to create a system of categorized “lines of communication” (or loglines) for different types of Czech music documentaries, or to at least uncover the defining factors for establishing such a line of communication. This outcome shall be emphasized in the conclusion of this thesis

Nejprve stručně popíše základní nutné souvislosti úzce spojené s tématem, definuje samotný termín pitch-shifting a dále podrobně vysvětluje jeho technickou stránku. Druhá část práce je praktičtějšího charakteru, zkoumá historický vývoj pitch-shiftingu a následně mapuje a hledá současné možnosti jeho využití – především ve filmu, zároveň však i v dalších odvětvích audiovizuální tvorby, s čímž je spojeno i využití v hudbě. Prostřednictvím několika ukázek tyto různé možnosti využití pitch-shiftingu názorně demonstruje.The bachelor’s thesis entitled Pitch-shifting and its possibilities of use in audiovision thoroughly describes this method of sound processing. Firstly, it briefly describes the essential context, then defines the term pitch-shifting itself and explains its technical side in detail. The second part of the thesis contains more of a practical character. It dives into the historical development of pitch-shifting and finally searches for the current possibilities of its use – especially in film, but as well in other branches of audiovision and music. In this concluding part, the thesis demonstrates various pitch-shifting possibilities on several examples
