Analysis of Tourism Demand in Selected WB Countries during the COVID-19 Pandemic
The subject of this chapter is tourism demand-side investigation
in the following Western Balkans (WB) countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia during the period 2019 M1 –
2021 M6. The chapter addresses the changing structure of tourism demand
with the increased share of domestic visitors in all observed WB economies.
Furthermore, the ongoing health crisis has emphasized the fundamental
problems of tourism sectors in observed WB economies: very high seasonality and insucient attractiveness of certain types of destinations. Improving the attractiveness of destinations (especially cities) for domestic guests
through the development of modern tourism products, implementation of
advanced ICT solutions, and customized marketing and promotional activities has the potential to improve the structure of guests and consequently
mitigate the sector’s resistance to similar shocks in the future
Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Foreign Direct Investment
Foreign direct investment is an important instrument in the economic growth and development of each national
economy. At the same time, they are considered one of the key elements of the globalization process, as they
significantly affect the mobility of production factors and world trade flows. Decisions on location choice and
form of investment can be made by foreign investors depending on the political and economic situation in the
country or the development and stability of specific sectors. The main goal of this paper is to determine whether
the crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus has affected FDI mobility. That is, whether in 2020, as the first year of
the pandemic, compared to the previous period (2018-2019), there were significant changes in FDI flows. The
period covered by the research is from 2018 to 2020. The methodology applied in this research is based on a
quantitative approach using available secondary data from the UNCTAD database. The results show that the
crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus contributed to a significant reduction in the fluctuation of capital.
Specifically, total FDI decreased by about 35% in 2020 compared to 2019, which indicates the negative impact
of the COVID-19 crisis on FDI flows
Human resource management practices and employee's job withdrawal intention in the Covid-19 era: job satisfaction as a mediator
Pillars of the global labor market’s permanence were not only partially shaken, but completely demolished in the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic. A worldwide workforce was deeply distressed when global turmoil occurred. Organizational viability was seriously compromised. The first post-crisis actions included a review of recent organizational navigation practices (primarily, HRM practices) that were used for the purpose of protecting resources of strategic importance. The narrower focus was set on elucidating perceptions and attitudes towards organizations built by employees. To endorse an empirical investigation of this issue, the aim of the research was to determine and elaborate the influence HRM practices had in the cognition process of forming a strong employee’s job withdrawal intention in the COVID-19 era, along with examining the existence of mediating role employee’s job satisfaction had in this relationship. The theoretical part of the research integrated the method of literature content analysis, implying the collection of knowledge from relevant sources closely related to the scientific field of interest. The empirical part integrated the survey method, collecting primary statistical data from employed workers in the national (Serbian) economy during the first half of 2022. An electronic survey questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. Data were processed using econometric systems SmartPLS 3.0 and IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0, and following software procedures. Usage of the statistical-econometric method, i.e., Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique, was also recorded. Research findings provided support for the main research hypothesis and the initial assumption that HRM practices have a statistically significant, negative impact on employee’s job withdrawal intention, whilst job satisfaction mediates their relationship (β=-0.566, t=9.829, p=0.000)
Global Pandemic and Digital Marketing: Trends and Perspectives
The Covid-19 pandemic has
caused issues and significant challenges in all spheres of business activities.
Digital marketing is no exception, which,
although based on the application of
information technologies and thereby its
functioning was not vitally jeopardized,
has undergone significant transformations. Accordingly, the aim of this paper is
to identify key trends in digital marketing
that have arisen as a consequence of
the global pandemic outburst. The paper
analyzes the economic aspect, i.e. the
impact of the pandemic on the growth of
digital marketing observed through the
total spending on digital advertising at the
level of 28 European countries. Moreover,
the aspect of adapting marketing communication to the new phenomena in society,
such as living and working at home and
rising isolation due to social distancing
measures, was also observed. The results
of the research contribute to the growing
body of literature in the field of digital
marketing by providing a systematic overview of the changes that have occurred,
as well as development trends that are
anticipated for the future period
Koncept otvorenih inovacija u funkciji unapređenja inovacionih kapaciteta MSP u Srbiji
Predmet rada je analiza značaja koncepta otvorenih inovacija u procesu
unapređenja inovacionog potencijala malih i srednjih preduzeća (MSP) u Srbiji. Cilj
segmentu kreiranja i uvođenja inovacija mogu značajno unaprediti usvajanjem
modela otvorenih inovacija, odnosno intenzivnom saradnjom ovih preduzeća sa
drugim organizacijama, posebno istraživačko-razvojnim institucijama. Ukazujući
na mogućnosti koje poseduje koncept otvorenih inovacija, nalazi u ovom radu
mogu doprineti unapređenju postojeće prakse inoviranja preduzeća u Srbiji
Intra-industry trade in high-tech products in Serbia
Intra-industry trade (IIT) is the simultaneous export and import of similar products or services by one country. This model of trade is contrary to traditional theories of international trade and has occupied the attention of researchers since the 1960s. According to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), high-tech products are defined as technical products whose production implies a high intensity of research and development. The paper will present data on the intensity of IIT between Serbia and its foreign trade partners from 2012 to 2020. The value of this index in the observed period ranged from 0.297 to 0.399. Also, the paper will present data on the exchange of high-tech products and the intensity of IIT between Serbia and the EU, CEFTA 2006, and Montenegro in the same period

Recepcija stavova Branka Horvata o kosovskom pitanju u srpskoj štampi krajem osamdesetih
U ovom radu biće predstavljena recepcija stavova Branka Horvata o kosovskom pitanju u srpskoj
