Innovation Potential of Agricultural Companies in Serbia
The influences from the environment mostly triggered by the crisis situations,
caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing armed conflict, have
caused some changes in the structure of all industrial sectors, putting considerable pressure on agricultural and food companies worldwide. Moreover,
the growing need for agricultural and a food product increases the need for
the accelerated development of this sector, which cannot be achieved unless
innovative technologies and solutions are introduced.
The indicators of the innovation activities in Serbia for the period from 2018 to
2020 suggest that the innovations in this sector were at the lowest level, which
determined the subject of the research of this paper. Applying the methodology
of EUROSTAT and the OECD, the authors analyse the innovation potential of
the companies operating in the agricultural sector. The aim of the paper is to
emphasise the importance of these innovations in overcoming the problems
faced by the agricultural sector in Serbia, as well as to highlight their impact
on the growth of the productivity and competitiveness of the sector.
In accordance with the findings, the recommendations for decision-makers will
be presented and possible directions for a further research will be recommended
Digital Skills among Women in Tourism in Serbia
The introduction of digitization into the economy has significantly altered working methods.
New technologies have a significant impact on labor market conditions, business dynamics, and
the skills required to stay in the market. In order for an individual to maintain in the labor market,
certain new skills are needed. All members of the labor market must adjust to the new situation.
Otherwise, there is a chance of being unemployed. When it comes to digital skills in the labor market,
vulnerable groups, including women, must be prioritized. It is necessary to assess their digital skills
in order to verify their abilities and potentially work on improving them in order to stay at work or
get a promotion on new projects
Service Quality Indicators as a Key Factor of Voluntary Pension Fund Competitiveness
The role of the voluntary pension fund is to ensure the preservation and increase of their
value by investing the collected payments and contributions, and thus the later amount of private
pensions for payment. Savings for a private pension is a long-term investment and aims to preserve
a certain level of the investor's standard of living even in times when monthly incomes begin to fall
due to retirement. The advantage of investing in a voluntary pension fund compared to individual
investment is that it is possible to diversify the risk on a larger number of securities with larger
funds invested
Exploring the Economy – Environment Interactions in the Western Balkans: A Panel Data Analysis
In order to balance economic growth with environmental preservation, the implementation of sustainable policies is necessary. As such, it is imperative to have a comprehensive understanding of the intricate relationship between the economy and the environment. This study examines the relationship between CO2 emissions and GDP per capita in five WB countries during 1960-2018, using a methodological framework that includes panel unit root testing, cointegration testing, and a V ector Error Correction Model. The study provides robust evidence of a long-term cointegration between CO2emissions and GDP per capita. Furthermore, the study also reveals a short-run bidirectional causal relationship between CO2 emissions and GDP per capita. In the long run, no statistically significant causality exists from GDP per capita to CO2 emissions, but it is statistically significant from CO2emissions to GDP per capita. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers to develop comprehensive policies that promote economic growth and environmental sustainability, such as investing in clean energy, implementing stronger environmental regulations, and encouraging environmentally sound management practices
Prevalence of computer vision syndrome in computer users: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Background/Aim. Vision and health problems associated with the use of computers and other digital devices are known as computer vision syndrome (CVS). Advances in technology have led to increased use of computers, so the prevalence of these symptoms is increasing. The aim of this study was to calculate the overall prevalence of CVS and CVS symptoms using meta-analysis. Methods. The study was developed in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Statement. In July 2021, a systematic search of four electronic databases with article collections was performed: PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. The key search terms were: “computer vision syndrome”, “computer users”, “digital eyestrain”, “headache”, “dry eyes”, “red eyes”, “eyestrain”, “neck pain”, “back pain”, and “shoulder pain”. The articles included in the study had to be original articles written in English only, and the criterion that had to be met was that the research included computer users. As a result, the prevalence of CVS or the prevalence of any of the symptoms of CVS had to be measured. Results. A total of 43 articles were fully reviewed, of which 20 were included in the meta-analysis. The total calculated prevalence for all studies was 74.4%, while the prevalence for individual symptoms was: headache – 43%, dry eyes – 24.4%, eyestrain – 29%, red eyes – 20.7%, and neck, back, or shoulder pain – 46.3%. Conclusion. The results obtained are worrying and point to the necessity of a multidisciplinary approach to solving CVS-related problems
Digitalna arhivistika u cilju očuvanja intelektualnog kapitala u nauci: doktorska disertacija
The Key Horizontal Principles in the Evaluation Practice: From Necessity to Culture
The promotion of evaluations that are sensitive to cross-cutting issues in the national evaluation communities such as equity, gender equality and social justice and on the shared principles of partnership, innovation, inclusivity, democracy, human rights and sustainable development is a fundamental approach not only to establish the need and the basis for developing credible and quality evaluations, but above all to consolidate an evaluation culture that is respectful of all its stakeholders, “leaving no one behind”, and applicable to each particular cultural and political context. The chapter discusses the role of Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation (VOPEs) in establishing a culture which considers horizontal principles as cross-cutting issues
Digitalization and Creative Industries—Trends and Perspectives
Policymakers worldwide have been gradually acknowledging the value and enormous
potential of the creative industries as a driving force and a catalyst for socio-economic progress. Before
the COVID-19 pandemic, the sector was expanding at an unprecedented rate. However, because of
their unique characteristics, the creative industries were among the industries most heavily affected
by the pandemic. The pandemic has also accelerated the sector’s digital transformation by inventing
different ways of consuming cultural and creative content. Virtual engagement is expected to level
up and become even more realistic in the years to come through the increased usage of advanced
digital tools such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and 3D gaming

research identifies priority activities for implementing the concept in Serbia
Digitalni repozitorijumi - okruženje za kreiranje znanja i očuvanje intelektualnog kapitala u nauci
U svakom društvu nauka predstavlja centralnu tačku kreiranja znanja i inovacija, a
naučnoistraživačke organizacije, u najvećem broju, koncentrišu svoje aktivnosti u okviru univerziteta, naučnih instituta
i naučnih parkova. Jedan od ciljeva ovih institucija i organizacija jeste i uvećanje znanja i intelektualnog kapitala, kroz
njegovo deljenje.
