PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI DIPADUKAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS VII D SMP N 1 JATEN
ABSTRACT – The aim of this research is improve quality of biology learning for conditioning class, student attitude in class, the performance of teacher and student motivation of learning in student class VII-D 1st Junior High School Of Jaten through the application of strategies for inquiry learning combined audio visual media. This research was classroom action research with planning, action, observation, and reflection steps. Data was collected using questionnaire, observation, and interview. The validation of data using method and observer triangulation techniques. The data analyzed by descriptive. The result in cycles I describes that mean of observation data in conditioning class indicators are 70,20%, students’ attitudes in class are 62,77%, performance of teachers in the learning are 80% and students motivation in learning are 68,18%. For the questionnaire, observation data in conditioning class indicators are 74,53%, students’ attitudes in class are 74,13%, and students motivation in learning are 74,38%. The result in cycles II describes that mean of observation data in conditioning class indicators are 80,81%, students’ attitudes in class are 80.09%, performance of teachers in the learning are 96,67% and student motivation in learning are 83,71%. For the questionnaire, observation data in conditioning class indicators are 83,87%, students’ attitudes in class are 82,49%, and students motivation in learning are 79,43%. In addition, this research also uses interview to know effect of research in quality of biology learning. The result of interview shows that students' attitudes more positive, students motivation more increase and classroom climate more conducive on learning activities. The conclusion of research describes that the combination of audio visual media in inquiry learning strategies can improve quality of biology learning for conditioning class, students' attitudes, performance of teachers in the learning and motivation of learning in student class VII-D in 1st junior high school of jaten. PENGARUH METODE STUDENT CREATED CASE STUDIES DISERTAI MEDIA GAMBAR TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 1 MOJOLABAN SUKOHARJO
ABSTRACT – This research aims to ascertain whether or not the application Student Created Case Studies learning method with picture media towards sains skill process. This research is considered quasi-experiment research. The research was designed using Posttest-Only Control Group Design by applying Student Created Case Studies learning method l with picture media in experimental group and lectures methods, discussions, and experiment in control group. The population of this research were all strudents in X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in academic year 2011/ 2012. The sample of this research was established by Cluster Random Sampling, in order to obtain class X-4 as experimental group and class X-3 as control group. The data was collected by using tests, documentation and observation form. The hypothesis was analized by using t-test. The conclusion of this research is that the application Student Created Case Studies learning method with picture media towards sains skill process. PENGARUH MODEL INKUIRI TERBIMBING DENGAN DIAGRAM V (Vee) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA
ABSTRACT – The purpose of this research are: 1) to ascertain the influence of guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee) on biology learning toward critical thinking skills of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012, 2) to ascertain the influence of guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee) on biology learning toward learning achievement of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012. The research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only control design. The populations of this research were all of 10thdegree students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The samples of this research were the students of 10th-1 as experiment group and 10th-2 as control group. Experimental group applied guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee). Control group applied conventional learning models specifically speech varies with experiment accompanied a simple summary. The data was collected by document, test, observation form, and questionnaire. The hypothesis analyzed by t-test with help of SPSS 16. The research concluded that the influence of guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee) on biology learning had significant effect toward critical thinking skills of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012 with significant value is 0,041. The influence of guided inquiry models with diagram V (Vee) on biology learning had significant effect toward learning achievement of 10thgrade students at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in academic year 2011/2012 with significant value cognitive domain is 0,013; psychomotor domain is 0,000 by observation form and 0,001 by questionnaire; affective domain is 0,000 by observation form and 0,005 by questionnaire. The research was designed using posttest only control group design by using the experimental classes (application of Guided Inquiry learning model) and control classes (conventional learning. The populations of this research were all of 10th degree students at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. The samples of this research were the students of X-4 as experiment group and X-2 as control group. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data was collected essay test, observation form, and document. The hypotheses analyzed by Two-Way Anava. The research concluded that 1) application of Guided Inquiry learning model had significant effect toward science process skill, 2) the academic ability didn’t has significant effect toward science process skill, 3) there was interaction between Guided Inquiry learning model and academic ability toward science process skills. ABSTRACT – Aims of this research are to know the influence of Card Sort With Mind Mapping learning strategies toward student’s achievement in studying biology of SMA N Banyudono Boyolali. This research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only randomized control group by using the experimental classes (application of Card Sort with Mind Mapping strategy) and control classes (conventional learning). Population studies are all students of SMA N Banyudono Boyolali in academic year 2011/2012. Sampling techniques with cluster random sampling, so chosen XI IPA 1 as the experiment class and XI IPA 2 as the control class. Data was collected using questionnaire, essay test, observation sheet, and document. The data were analyzed by t-test. The conclusion of this research were science process skills was significantly affected by Card Sort with Mind Mapping and the application of Card Sort with Mind Mapping has taken effect on student’s cognitive and psychomotor, affective achievement in studying biology of SMA N Banyudono Boyolali. PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT LUNAK ANALISIS BUTIR SOAL DAN ANGKET
ABSTRACT – The research is aimed to developing an items test and questionnaire analysis software in order that facilitate students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University who are conducting research in schools to analyzing the items test and questionnaire. The software is AN Soft 1.0 that has functions to facilitate the user in analyzing the items test and questionnaire. The software is based on Microsoft Visual Foxpro 9.0 with Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 as controllers. The research is belonged to Research and Development Method (R & D) (Borg, WR and Gall, MD, 1989) with the following research stages. Research and initial data collection, planning, making the initial product, the initial product test, the initial product improvements, field test, operational and product improvements. The research involves the following trial subjects. (1) The initial test involving an educational expert, visual communication expert, and information technology expert. (2) The small trial group involves 30 students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University. (3) The large trial group involves 50 students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University. The data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive approach that describes and interprets the qualitative data. Before the data was analyzed, carried out the quantification of data from the questionnaires and the assessment form then the data was analyzed qualitatively. The interviews data was analyzed qualitatively. The results of field test 1 and 2 showed that there is an increasing percentage of the total score from all aspects. The results of the questionnaire showed that the rate of interesting on AN Soft 1.0 users increased from 85.33% to 89.8% is classified as very strong, the ease of installing Soft AN 1.0 increased from 84.33% to 94.2% is classified as very strong, The ease of operations AN Soft 1.0 increased from 84% to 93.4% is classified as very strong, and the mastery level of AN Soft 1.0 users increased from 81% to 90.6% which is classified as very strong. Based on the results, it was concluded the developing of items test and questionnaire analysis software product can be facilitating users to analysis items test and questionnaire in accordance with the rules of proper instruments analysis. PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH DAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 14 SURAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2011/2012
ABSTRACT – This research aims to determine the effect of PBL learning model of problem-solving skills and cognitive learning outcomes biology class VII students of SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta. PBL model is a model of learning by forcing students to practical problems or as a foothold in learning, in other words, students learn through the problems. Given the problems the students are challenged to find / search for a solution of real world problems can be resolved as a group (in collaboration). The cooperation will enable students in learning to improve problem-solving skills and cognitive learning outcomes. This research is a Quasi Experimental research design using a pretest-postest Control Group. Population is all students in grade VII Junior High School 14 Surakarta with cluster random sampling technique using sampling. Aspects of data collection techniques and problem-solving skills using the cognitive learning outcomes tests are analyzed using statistical tests anacova. HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF BIOLOGI DIPREDIKSI DARI EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT (EQ) DAN KESIAPAN BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 7 SURAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2011/2012
ABSTRACT – The aims of this research are certain the relationship of 1) emotional quotient (EQ) with student’s cognitive learning achievement of biology in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012, 2) learning readiness with student’s cognitive learning achievement of biology in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012, 3) emotional quotient (EQ) and learning readiness with student’s cognitive learning achievement of biology in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. This was a correlational quantitive research. The population were all of the students in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year of 2011/2012. The sample was taken among 74 samples of student using simple random sampling technique. The data was collected by test, documentation, and questionnaire. Test was used to knowing student’s emotional quotient (EQ), documentation was used to getting student’s cognitive learning achievement, and learning readiness was measured by using questionnaire. Analyze uses correlation regression analysis with SPSS 17. The result showed that 1) there is a relationship between emotional quotient (EQ) and student’s cognitive learning achievement of biology in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012, 2) there is a relationship between learning readiness and student’s cognitive learning achievement of biology in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012, 3) there is a relationship both of emotional quotient (EQ) and learning readiness with student’s cognitive learning achievement of biology in X grade of SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. The three aforementioned correlation are considered as significant and positive valuable. PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA KELAS X5 SMA N 6 SURAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2011/2012
ABSTRACT – The purpose of this research is to improve students’ science process skills in class X5 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012 with implementation of Group Investigation cooperative learning model. This research was a classroom action research and performed in 2 cycles. Every cycle consists of 4 steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data were collected by observation, questionnaire, and interview. The data were validated by triangulation method. The collected data were supported by the result of students’ science process skills test in the last cycle. The analyzed technique used descriptive analysis. The result of this research showed that according observation sheet the average percentage of science process skills aspect in the cycle I was 52,57% and had been improved up to 80,36% in cycle II. The average percentage of science process skills aspect based on quetionnaire in cycle I was 84,22% and 86,56% in cycle II. According to the students interview,could be concluded that the students were able to do science process skill in learning process. The data of science process skill test in cycle I, the student that got test result ≥ 70 was 25% and in cycle II was 67,86%. The average test result of the class in cycle I was 60,27 had been improved up to 67,14 in cycle II. The conclusion of this research was the implementation of Group Investigation (GI) cooperative learning model could improve students science process skills in class X5 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GIVING QUESTIONS AND GETTING ANSWER TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X SMA N BANYUDONO TAHUN AJARAN 2011/2012
ABSTRACT – This research is aimed to know effect of implementation strategy Giving Questions and Getting Answer (GQGA) towards biology learning achievement. This research held upon senior high school student of SMA N Banyudono in academic year 2011/2012. Giving Questions and Getting Answer (GQGA) was expected to be more effective rather than if use convensional method. All student of SMA N Banyudono had been chosen as a research population.Since, not all student was not attending biological class, hence, randomly, 2 clusters were selected representing the control class (for where the experimental treatment was not carried out) and the experimental class for where the Giving Questions and Getting Answer (GQGA). Quasy-experimental method was designed to achieve the stated research objectives following the quantitative paradigm used in this research. In addition, Randomized Subjects Posstest Only Control Group Design was used as a research design to facilitate the data collection procedures. The data were collected using several techniques namely, questionnaire, posttest with multiple choice, observation tools and related document. The final obtained data were then analyzed using t- test method. The results of this research showed that the implementation of the strategy has significantly affected the biology learning achievement.
