    ABSTRACT – This  research aims to find out the influence of SAVI approach using STAD type of cooperative learning model on learning achievement in the VII graders  Junior High School of 14 Surakarta. This research belonged to a quasi-experiment with quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only non-equivalent control group design by applying SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning for experiment class and using conventional learning approach with lecture and demonstration methods for control class. The population of research was all 7th graders Junior High School of 14 Surakarta in the school year of 2011/2012. The sample of research was the VII C graders as experiment group and VII B graders as control group. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Technique of collecting data used was objective test, observation test, and school document. The hypothesis testing was conducted using t-test. The data analyzed by Minitab version 16 program help at 5% significance. The hypothesis result of the influence of SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning results p-value < 0,05, so there is affects SAVI approach with STAD type of cooperative learning on the learning achievement in the VII graders Junior High School of 14 Surakarta.     ABSTRACT – The objective of the research is to improve social activities of students in biology learning through implementing STAD learning model with video assisted. This study was a classroom action research which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students of class VII-F SMP Negeri 1 Jaten Karanganyar in the academic year 2011/2012. Data was obtained through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Then, data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis technique and was validated by using triangulation technique. The results showed that the implementation of STAD learning model with video assisted could enhance social activities of students in biology learning. The increase average value of student’s social activities achievements based on observation after the first cycle was 6.61%, then it reached 4.91% for the second cycle. However, the final achievement gained 67.26%. Based on these results, it could be concluded that implementing STAD learning model with video assisted could enhance social activities of students in biology learning class of VII-F in SMP Negeri 1 Jaten Keywords: cooperative learning, STAD, video assisted, student’s social activitie

    ABSTRACT – The purposes of this research is to increase students interest in Biologu of class VII-A SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta through the implementation of Cooperative Model CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) with Biological Comic in the subject of Pollution. This research is a Classroom Action Research with 3 cycles of action. Each cycle consisting of 4 phases which is planning, acting, observing, , and reflecting. Observational data obtained from the questionnaire, observation paper, and interview. Data validation is use triangulation method. Technical analysis of data is technical descriptive. Result of this research show that in the first cycle, according to the observation score, the average percentage of students interest in the class is 57,53%, 65,12% in the second cycle (worked up 7,59%), and 83,28% in the third cycle (worked up 18,16%). According to the questionnaire score, the average percentage of students interest in the first cycle is 71,04%, 71,77% in the second cycle (worked up 0,73%), and 73,66% in the third cycle (worked up 1,89%). Result of interview show that students. Hasil wawancara siswa dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa more pleased and find it easier to learn the lessons of biology. Students are also interested in learning, students also are learning during the action is exciting activities.     ABSTRACT – The purposes of this research ware to ascertain the influence of implementation bentos research result module  in subject of environmental polution  towards students science process skill of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in the academic year 2011/2012. This research is considered as quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only control design that applied bentos research result module  in subject of environmental polution approach in experimental group and conventional approach method in control group. The population of this research was all of X degree students at SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in the academic year 2011/2012.  The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling that choosed X.5  as experiment group and X.6 as control group. The data was collected by using essay test, observation form, and document. The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. The conclusion result obtained using t-test are value for 0.004, so the  probabilitas significance (p-value) < 0.05, thus received H1 and HO rejected. It means there is a significant difference of implementation bentos research result module  in subject of environmental polution in class experiment and conventional approach method in class control towards students science process skill. The conclusion of this research showed that application of implementation bentos research result module  in subject of environmental pollution had significant effect towards students science process skill of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in the academic year 2011/2012.     ABSTRACT – The  purpose of this research is to ascertain the influence of Problem Based Instruction with audio visualmediatoward biology learning achievement of 10th grade  students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic year 2011/2012. The research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The  research was designed using posttest only control design. Experimental group applied  Problem Based Instruction with audio visualmedia. Control group applied discussion,  classical course and question-answer method. The populations of this research were all of  10th degree students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic year 2011/2012.  The samples  of this research were the students of 10th 3as experiment group and 10th 6as control group.  The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data was  collected using questionnaire, multiple choice test,essay test, observation form, and  document. The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. The research concluded that application of Problem Based Instruction with audio  visualmediahad significant effect toward biology learning achievement in cognitive,  affective, and psychomotor of 10th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic  year 2011/2012.     ABSTRACT – The  research is classroom action research. The aim is to improve class climate and student’s learning motivation in class X-1 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta by integrating ICT media into collaborative learning approach  that implemented in biology learning  process.  This act is based on the biology learning process observation  in class X-1 where   researcher found some learning problems. They are class  climate  and  student’s  learning motivation. Based on literatures  study, we give solution to improve them by integrating ICT media into collaborative learning approach.  Main data  is  collected from questioner  and    observation. While additional data is taken from interview, documentation, and test. Validation data uses triangulation and expert team. The act of research consists  of two cycles. Research target is 65% for class climate and 60% for student’s learning  motivation. The result of cycle  1 describes that generally the research target is accomplished not optimally. Percentage of class climate is 65,54% and student’s learning motivation  is 72,58%. The result of cycle  2 describes that generally the research target is accomplished optimally.  Percentage of class  climate  is  73,65%  and  student’s learning motivation is 77,30%. This cycle stopped here because targets accomplished optimally. Class climate and student’s learning motivation increase well.  This learning approach can improve targets because it’s syntax  support student’s  interaction and  interest. The conclusion of this research describes that integration ICT media into collaborative learning approach can improve  class climate and student’s learning motivation in class X-1 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta.     ABSTRACT – The aim of this research is improve quality of biology learning for teacher’s performance, conditioning class, student science attitude in class, and student motivation of achievement in student class X 7 in 2nd senior high school of Sukoharjo. The research is classroom action research. The steps of research include planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The collecting data of research uses questionnaire, observation, and interview. Validation data uses triangulation of methods and triangulation of observers. The research uses descriptive as analytic data. The acts of research are consists of three cycles. The result in cycles I describes that generally the research target is not achieve yet that showed teacher’s performance indicators are 86,46%, conditioning class indicators are 62,14%, science attitude of students in class are 62,86%, and motivation of achievement in students are 53,33%. The result in cycles II describes that the research target is not achieve yet optimally that showed teacher’s performance indicators are 100%, conditioning class indicators are 67,86%, science attitude of students in class are 63,81%, and motivation of achievement in students are 65,40%. The result in cycles III describes that the research target is completely achieve and showed that teacher’s performance indicators are 100%, conditioning class indicators are 75,71%, science attitude of students in class are 75,72%, and motivation of achievement in students are 79,05%. Cycles stopped in cycles III because the research target is achieve. The conclusion of this research describes that the implementation of Class-Wide Peer Tutoring learning model with drew story medium can improve quality of biology learning for teacher’s performance, conditioning class, science attitude of student, and motivation of achievement in student of class X 7 in 2nd senior high school of Sukoharjo.     ABSTRACT – The  purposes of this research were to know: 1) the influence of Everyone  is a Teacher Here to the mastery of biology result 2) the influence of student’s learning interest to the mastery of biology result; 3) the interaction between learning model and learning interest to the mastery of biology result ; and 4) the influence of better learning model to the mastery of biology result This research was quasi experiment research using Randomized Control Only design. Learning model and learning interest were independent variables and mastery of biology concept was the dependent variable. The population of this research was all of  X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. The samples of this research were the students of class XI IPA 2 as the control class and students of class XI IPA 6 as the experimental class.  The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data about the result of study biology collected by use test and observation. Learning interest meansured by using questionnaires. The analisis of this research was anava two away in different cell and the advance test used Bonfferoni test. .     ABSTRACT – This study was aimed to know: (1) The influence of the use of  Inquiring Minds Want  To Know  learning strategy in Biology  learning  towards  learning  achievement of the second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. (2) The influence of the level of students learning activity towards learning achievement of the second grade students  of  SMA  Negeri  Kebakkramat. (3)  Whether  or  not  there  is  an interaction between the  Inquiring  Minds  Want  To Know  learning  strategy  and  the  students learning  activity  towards  learning  achievement  in Biology  of  the  second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat in the academic year of 2011/2012. The  population of  this  study  was  all  of  the  second grade  students  of  SMA Negeri Kebakkramat in the second semester of the academic year of 2011/2012. The sample  of  the  study  were  XI  IPA  2 students  as  the  experiment  class  and  XI  IPA  3 students  as  the  control  class, taken  by  Cluster  Random  Sampling. The  learning strategy  and the  learning  activity  were  considered to be  the  independent  variable while learning achievement in Biology became the dependent variable. The data was collected using documentation technique,  test, questionnaire, and observation sheet. The technique used to analyze the data was two-way Analysis of Variance (Anava). This  study  was  a  Quasi  Experimental  Research  with  Randomized Control  Only Design. The  results  of  the  study  can be  concluded as  follows:  (1)  There  is  a significant  influence  of  applying  Inquiring  Minds  Want  To Know  learning  strategy towards  affective  and psycomotoric  learning  achievement  in  Biology  of  the  second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat, yet there is no significant influence on cognitive  ones. (2)  There  is  an influence  of  students  learning  activity  towards cognitive, affective and psycomotoric learning achievement in Biology of the second grade  students  of  SMA  Negeri  Kebakkramat. (3)  There  is  no interaction between Inquiring  Minds  Want  To Know  learning  strategy  and students  learning  activity towards cognitive, affective and psycomotoric learning achievement in Biology of the second grade students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat.     ABSTRACT – The purposes of this research are to ascertain: 1)  the influence of guided discovery methode toward scientific attitudes and 2) the influence of guided discovery learning methode  toward student’s achievement in cognitive domain. The research was quasi experiment research. The research was designed using randomized control-group pretest-postest design. Experimental group applied guided discovery method. Control group applied conventional metode. The populations of this research were all of 10th degree students at SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. The samples of this research were the students of X2 as control group consist of 30 students and X3 as experiment group consist of 31 students. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The scientific attitudes data was collected by questionaire and the student’s achievement in cognitive domain was collected by essay test. The hypotheses of scientific attitudes data analyzed by t test and the student’s achievement in cognitive domain data analyzed by anacova.  The conclusions of this research are: 1) application of guided discovery learning method had significant effect toward scientific attitudes;  2)  application of guided discovery learning method had significant effect toward student’s achievement in cognitive domain.
