YOUTUBE KIDS CHANNELS IN DEVELOPING YOUNG CHILDREN’S COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN ENGLISH: PARENTS’ BELIEFS, ATTITUDES, AND BEHAVIORS
The current trend towards the use of technologies for learning focuses on the web 2.0 associated applications, which encourage young children to social interaction, as well as to creating and sharing information. Actually, the profusion and easy access to tools and channels for video production and sharing, such as YouTube Kids Channel, emerge as an example of such applications. However, YouTube Kids Channel gives many channels to be selected by the parents. Based on the questionnaires of parents’ belief, attitudes, and behaviors towards YouTube Kids Channel, it is known that the selected channel can improved young children’s communication skills, particularly in enriching their vocabulary in English. YouTube is believed as an effective media that can improve young children’s communication skill, in spite of the controlling of parents. Effective communication is essential for young children’s academic and social competence. During the preschool years, children acquire the language and communication skills necessary to express their needs, thoughts, and feelings in social interactions, and they learn to respond appropriately to others. Through effective communication, they also learn to be socially competent individuals, building respectful, positive interactions and relationships with others. This allows children to learn about themselves, others, and the world. 
HOTS-ORIENTED LEARNING LANGUAGE LEARNING, PROJECT-BASED IN THE 21ST CENTURY LEARNING CONTEXT
Changes in time that cannot be undone require changes in society and the system. The change in curriculum is also carried out because of an increasingly competitive future. Students of genertion Z who are born spoiled will be increasingly difficult to live, difficult, resolved, find alternatives, and compete in the global world if not prepared from the bench of education. This paper explains how students are prepared not only able to think alone, but are able to develop critical thinking skills through language improvement so that they are ready to face the world of work. Project-based learning stages with a focus on 21st century competency training. Through Indonesian language learning students can become students who have learning and innovation skills, career, and digital literacy. In addition, 21st century learning trains communicative, collaborative abilities, and the use of cellular technology. Students are also taught to be able to apply the knowledge gained, be able to do what can be used in their lives, and be able to find solutions not only for academic needs but also useful in their lives. Through language learning students are prepared to become individuals who not only have knowledge, but also skills that can be utilized in future life and careers. Besides being a person who has the traits that can be used to survive in the industrial era 4.0
THE EFFECT OF THE USE OF UEU E-LEARNING MEDIA ON THE SKILLS WRITING SKILLS IN THE FOUR SEMESTER FOR THE EYE SKILLS OF INDONESIAN LANGUAGE SKILLS AT ESA UNGGUL UNIVERSITY
The problem that occurs is related to the large number of lecturers using the e-learning application UEU to teach in the environment of the University of America Superior as a medium for distance learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of UEU e-learning media on short story writing skills in the fourth semester for Indonesian language skills courses at Esa Unggul University. This study uses an experimental method with the research design used is the Pre-Experimental Design type (One Group Pretest Posttest Design) because this study uses one class group as a sample, and there is no control class as a comparison. The data used are the results of students' short story writing skills when using e-learning learning media. The instruments of this study used the normality test, homogeneity test, correlation test, regression test, correlation test, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study of the influence of the use of UEU e-learning media on short story writing skills in the fourth semester for Indonesian language courses at the University of Esa Unggul showed acceptable if the count ≤ ttabel or sig> α value. This is when the pretest test got 7, 248 when teaching short stories using face-to-face comparisons, but after using the e-learning application UEU experienced a significant change of 23,200 in making short stories.

‘STORY PYRAMID’: AN INOVATION OF ENGLISH TEACHING STRATEGY IN PROMOTING STUDENTS’ READING SKILL
Some problems are faced by students in reading of English text. The interesting strategy is needed to teach them. Story Pyramid Strategyis one of strategies to teach reading comprehension. This strategy forces students to review and summarize the main points of a story. The research aimed at knowing the effectiveness of using story pyramid strategy in teaching narrative text toward students’ reading comprehension was conducted in SMAN 1 Serang. The research design of this reseacrh was quasi experimental research with quantitative approach. The research finding showed that Story Pyramid Strategy is effective in teaching narrative text toward students’ reading comprehension to Senior High School
EDUGAME "THE WORLD OF WORD" IN LEARNING ENGLISH IN THE 21ST CENTURY
Abstract : In this 21st century many people lack knowledge of English vocabulary, which is an important language just like any other language. Therefore this edugame application is designed by using a combination of English vocabulary knowledge and training on how to speak English vocabulary. The making of this application uses the rational unified process methodology in making this application. This application was created using Unity 3D and Speech Recognition. This application is designed to get good results from users through the distribution of questionnaires with the results of 58% of users strongly agree that the help menu used to help users when experiencing difficulties is very easy to understand, 50% of users strongly agree that this edugame application can deepen vocabulary especially nouns English and 55% of users strongly agree that this edugame application fosters an interest in being able to speak English.

IMPROVING THE ABILITY TO WRITE SHORT FILM REVIEW TEXTS USING THE THINK TALK WRITE (TTW) METHOD IN CLASS XI SCIENCE STUDENTS 3 MAS 01 DARUSSALAM KEPAHIANG
The purpose of this study was to describe the quality of writing learning and the improvement of short film review writing writing skills with the Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy in class XI IPA 3 MAS 01 Darussalam Kepahiang students. Through the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method, the improvement can be seen both process and product. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) that has been carried out at MAS 01 Darussalam Kepahiang. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA 3 which consisted of 22 students. The object in this study is the writing skills of short film review texts. This research was conducted in three cycles consisting of four stages each cycle, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used in this study include, observation, tests, and documentation. This study uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) method can improve the writing skills of short film review texts of class XI IPA 3 MAS 01 Darussalam Kepahiang students. The increase was shown from the quality of the learning process reflected in honesty, responsibility, tolerance, courtesy and students' self-confidence in the learning process with the results in the first cycle there were 12 students with category B, 10 students in the SB category. In the second cycle there were 5 students with category B and 17 students in the SB category. In the third cycle there were 2 students with category B and 20 students with the SB category. Product improvement can be seen from the average score of writing skills from cycle I to cycle III. In the first cycle the average value of students is 72.90. In cycle II it increased to 74.77. The increase occurred quite well in the third cycle, namely the average value reached 81.18
ENGLISH SPEECH ACTS OF DIRECTIVES IN CLASS INTERACTION
This research was highly concerned on the study ethnography of communication, i.e. in the way of speaking a language. The objective was on learn realization of English speech acts in the class interaction between students and lecturer(s). The study conducted in the English Education Study Program of Palangka Raya University. The method applied was a communication ethnography based on the social phenomena of empirical facts in terms of illocutionary speech acts of directives. It is a qualitative research focusing on the speakers’ utterances. Data collected using the Spradley’s ethnography method. Data analysis using the model of Hymes’ communication analysis, including: analysis of communication situation, communication events, communication acts, and Spradley’s analysis of cultural theme. The first finding and the novelty showed that the realization of directive speech act had been the most dominant one. This finding proved that the illocutionary speech act of directives has a higher social status in an interaction. The use of speech acts of directives proved that it was closely related with the context of situation and culture of the speaker(s) whereas the higher(s) had dominated the lower(s). Finally, directive speech act was used to control the class to be interactive by the lecturer(s)
MOTIVATION FOR LEARNING SPEAKING SKILLS USING VIDEO BLOG (VLOGGING) BASED ON PROJECT LEARNING STUDENTS OF THE INDONESIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT AT NUSA CENDANA UNIVERSITY: A PHENOMENOLOGY APPROACH
This study aims to identified students motivation in learning project-based learning (PBL) Indonesian language skills using vlogging media based on meanings and themes seen from the "because motives" and "in order to motives" related to the phenomenon of learning in the classroom. In identifying objectives, this study uses a qualitative research method with the approach of phenomenology from Albert Schutz's perspective. Researcher becomes the main instrument in an effort to obtain and find data. The research subjects were 38 second semester students of the Department of Language and Literature at Nusa Cendana University. Data collection techniques used include observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis through three stages of the flow model namely reduction, presentation and verification of data and triangulation. The results of the study prove that the teaching strategy associated with vlogs can attract students' learning interest because of their interest in other fields such as multimedia technology and social media. The application of learning PBL-based speaking skills using vlogs can improve speaking competence and gradually improve the mental aspects of students to become more confident to speak and communicate in public. So it can be said that learning PBL-based speaking skills using vlogs is a good and innovative learning strategy in an effort to increase learning motivation and mastery of students' speaking skills
INTEGRATING 21ST CENTURY SKILLS INTO TRANSLATION CLASSROOM: A BRIEF PERSPECTIVE ON ITS SYLLABUS
This study is motivated by the fact that globalization has arrived. There are demands of skills and competencies that must be possessed by a global citizen in general and by students in particular. The current trend in our world is the issue of 21st century skills. As academicians, we need to be one step further to accommodate this demand. This study aimed to explore the 21st century skills and these skills can be integrated in Translation syllabus. The focus of this study is on the exploration of 21st century skills which are explained in relevant references and or literature and give a brief perspective on its possibility of integration in the Translation classroom. In order to achieve the said objectives, the writer used descriptive approach having its qualitative nature. The findings of this study are gained mostly in the relevant literature. The findings of this study showed that the 21st century skills are pertinent in the translation classroom. The writer revealed that the 21st century skills comprised of cooperation, communication, ICT skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision making, innovation, creativity, et cetera. It is also found that the 21st century skills can be integrated with translator competencies as stated by PACTE (Process of Acquisition of Translation Competence and Evaluation). This study also embarked on demonstrating the possible strategies to integrate the 21st century skills with the translator’s competencies as follows: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity and bilingual, extralinguistic, instrumental, knowledge about translation, psycho-physiological competencies. Finally, as a recommendation, the writer suggests that the syllabus of the Translation should be changed, hence also changing the curriculum which accommodates the 21st century skills.

INITIATING FLIPPED CLASSROOM IN FORMING THE 4C SKILLS AMONG ENGLISH EDUCATION STUDENTS
Flipped classroom enables students to learn new content online by watching video lectures outside the classroom independently with teachers offering more personalized guidance and interaction with students. This study tried to depict an effort of initiating flipped classroom to form the 4Cs among the English Student-Teachers. The aims of this study were to portray the process of initiating flipped classroom, the obstacles, and the students’ 4Cs reflection in the flipped classroom. The study involved four lecturers as collaborators in lesson study of an English Teaching Media subject. The instruments used were observation, interview, and document analysis. In conducting the flipped class, Schoology was utilized. The results showed that, in initiating a flipped class, the lecturers should be really creative in creating the video lectures and other classroom activities as a preclusion to boredom. Besides, the results also denoted emerging capacity of the students’ 4Cs during on line and offline class. Moreover, the lecturers considered flipped classroom as a breakthrough that enables them to have a closer look on the students individually. Nonetheless, the newness of flipped classroom brings about intricacy, since the lecturers should be able to manage online and offline class simultaneously.
