The productivity of cayenne pepper in Jawai District is lower than the productivity of cayenne pepper in South Jawai District, even though both have the same harvested land area. The low productivity of cayenne pepper in Jawai District is due to the high level of risk. This study aims to determine the level of production risk and income risk of cayenne pepper farming in Jawai District and to formulate alternative strategies to reduce farming risk levels. Analysis of the level of risk in agriculture using Coefficient of Variation (CV) analysis and formulation of alternative strategies using SWOT analysis with Porter's Diamond component indicators. The results showed that the risk level of production and income from cayenne pepper farming was 0.61 and 0.75, respectively, or more than 0.5, indicating a high level of risk. An alternative strategy that can be applied by farmers to reduce the level of risk is the WO (Weaknesses-Opportunities) strategy, which includes intensifying cayenne pepper farming, providing counseling to farmers regarding proper farming knowledge and management, conducting counseling related to knowledge of the use of agricultural technology, and extensification by expanding farming land cayenne pepper farming

One of the challenges of increasing sugarcane productivity is that unpredictable external factors expose farmers to a variety of risk production, necessitating farmers to adapt to these changes. This study intends to examine farmers' perceptions and behavior toward risk as an alternative to a new strategy for increasing sugarcane productivity through 237 samples of sugarcane farmers in East Java. The Just and Pope model was utilized to analyze risk preferences and the probit regression model was utilized to identify the socioeconomic elements influencing this behavior. According to the perception analysis, productivity is significantly influenced by climate, pests and diseases, labor, and land area. However, farmers typically only make passive adjustments, which is consistent with the analysis that they are risk- averse. This attitude is significantly influenced by age, whereas factors like farming experience, size of the family, off-farm, and education have insignificant impacts. To anticipate the unpredictable external changes and raise the farmer's quality, it is suggested to increase the frequency of training and the use of technology. This will encourage farmers to take more chances and be more open to using new technologies

Cayenne pepper is a horticultural commodity that its production to be seasonal so cause the supply of cayenne pepper to be unavailable in sufficient quantities throughout the year and  the price to be fluctuative. Based on this, this study aims to 1) analyze price behavior and the level of price fluctuations of cayenne pepper using the coefficient of variation 2) analyze market integration using Johansen Cointegration Test, and 3) analyze price transmission using the VAR (Vector Auto Regression) / VECM (Vector Error Correction Model). The results show that 1) The price of cayenne pepper is high when production decreases (December-February and July-August), and low when production is abundant (March-June and September-November). The price of cayenne pepper at the consumer and producer levels has a high and unstable level of fluctuation with a coefficient of variation (KV) respectively  of 23.9% and 19.7%,  2) The trace statistic value (106.41) > critical value (16.36) so that the producer and consumer markets of cayenne pepper in Indonesia have been vertically integrated, 3) Price transmission is imperfect. In the event of a price shock, at the producer and consumer level, price adjustments will be made towards long-term equilibrium respectively of -0.103 and -0.279

This study aims to determine the interest of farmers in growing soybeans according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), as well as the factors that influence it. The study was conducted from January to July 2022 at the Sriharjo Village Farmers Group, Kapanewon Imogiri, Bantul Regency. This study uses quantitative methods. Determination of respondents who became the sample was determined using the proportional random sampling technique of as many as 41 respondents. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the factors studied, namely age, education, land area, the role of extension workers, and assistance for farming facilities had a simultaneous effect on farmers' interest in soybean cultivation according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) with an F-count of 3.323 (Sig 0.015) and coefficient of determination (R2) 32.2%. The factor that partially has a significant effect on farmers' interest in soybean cultivation according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is the education factor. The results of the study are used to develop plans for empowerment activities. Empowerment activities have succeeded in increasing the knowledge of farmers by 53.61% and attitudes by 14.45%

Red pepper is a horticulture commodity that has fluctuating prices in the market. The fluctuating price is affected by the availability of the peppers. Meanwhile, the availability of red peppers depends on production activities at the farm level. However, farmers require a big capital to produce these red peppers. Inadequate capital leads to low crop production, which is a common problem among these farmers. Farmer financing is done to overcome this low crop production, one of which is channelling credit to them. Although this credit facility has been provided, only a few farmers used it. Therefore, it is necessary to research the factors that influence Indonesian red pepper farmers’ decisions to use credit. This study uses a binary logistic regression model to determine factors that influence red pepper farmers’ decisions to use credit in Indonesia to use credit. The results revealed that farm location, age, formal education, gender, cooperative membership, farmers group membership, partnership, agricultural extension, and machinery significantly influenced the farmers’ decision to take credit as a capital resource
