TINGKAT KEMAMPUAN ANGGOTA KELOMPOK TANI DALAM PENERAPAN INOVASI TEKNOLOGI USAHATANI KOPI RAKYAT
The objectives of this study was as follows: analyze the capability level of farmer group members in implementing technological innovation of smallholders coffee farming. The study was designed as a descriptive correlation study that conducted in January-March 2010. The number of 88 respondents using proportionate stratified random sampling method of all smallholder coffee farming groups in Sidomulyo Village Silo District Jember Regency. Primary and secondary data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results showed that there was member’s capability level of them (KKRTM and KKRTL) were high but for group members advanced level (KKRTL) still low in the technological innovation implementation of post harvest and access to information, capital and markets. PERILAKU KONSUMEN PENIKMAT KOPI TUBRUK DAN KOPI INSTAN
The levels of Indonesian domestic coffee consumption increases more and more; this is related to consumer behavior, living standards improvement and lifestyle shift of urban people as in Surabaya. Each year coffee processing industry continues to grow in line with market demand. The purpose of this study was to: 1) describe the type of product and the known and favored coffee brand, 2) analyze consumer behavior in purchasing or consuming mud coffee and instant coffee. The research was conducted in Surabaya in March-April, 2012. This research applied qualitative-descriptive analysis. The coffee brand available in all traditional stores and minimarkets was only one brand of coffee (Kapal Api brand), while the coffee brands which were available in minimarket but were not available in traditional stores/food stalls were 4 brands of coffee. The coffee lovers bought coffee mostly in food stalls. Further, consumers enjoyed coffee at home, while the type of coffee mostly chosen was in form of original coffee powder, and the time to enjoy coffee was most frequently at night. Consumers enjoyed coffee for 2 cups/day in average. The consumer considerations in choosing coffee were influenced by flavor and external factors, mostly due to friendship effect. 55.00 percent of consumers preferred mud coffee. PENINGKATAN DAYA SAING KOPI RAKYAT DI KABUPATEN JEMBER
Jember has 16.882 ha of coffee plantation, which  5.601,31 ha of them are smallholder coffee. Smallholder coffee is often identified has  low productivity and quality. This research wanted to know: (1)the advantage of smallholder coffee at District of Jember; (2) how to increase the advantage. Research was done on May – August 2012 (harvest periode) at Sub District of Silo, Sumberjambe, Ledokombo and Panti with 98 respondens which were choosen by  stratified random sampling methode. The advantage was measured by  DRCR dan PCR, in order to increase the advantage using the result of Cobb-Douglas model of multiple regression analize on production function. The result show that:  (1) there are two methode of post-harvest processing of coffee, they are wet process and dry process methode;(2) smallholder coffee at Jember has competitif and comparative advantage (PCR wet process methode is 0,3679 and dry process methode is 0,4261). (3) Balance fertilizing could increase  the advantage, but just comparative advantage (DRCR decrease to  0,4907 on wet process methode and 0,3566 on dry process methode), on the other side competitive advantage was a little decrease (PCR wet process methode is 0,5056 and  0,5089 on dry process methode). Further more, balance fertilizing could increase the profit from IDR 17.804.906/ha/year to                IDR 21.103.109/ha/year on wet process methode and from IDR 8.965.371/ha/year to            IDR 17.112.813/ha/year on dry process methode. PERUMUSAN STRATEGI PENINGKATAN MUTU TEKNIK PRODUKSI IKAN GURAMI (Osphronemus gouramy) BERDASARKAN METODE FORCE FIELD ANALYSIS (FFA)
Carp (Osphronemus gouramy) is one kind of freshwater fish that can be farmed in the pond. This research was conducted to: (a) evaluate the quality of carp farming technique of segmentations of seeding, nursery, and growing based on SNI: 01-6485.3-2000 (standard production of carp seeding and nursery) and SNI: 01-7241-2006 (standard production of carp growing segment in the pond), (b) analyze the cost efficiency of carp farming in each segmentation, (c) formulate development strategies of carp cultivation techniques in each segment. Research area was determined by purposive method. The research applied descriptive method, and sampling was conducted by snowball sampling of 16 respondents. Data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of the conduct of cultivation technique quality, R/C ratio, and Force Field Analysis (FFA). The results of evaluation of the quality of cultivation techniques showed that the percentage of production quality conduct level of carp production for the segmentation of growing at pre-production stage was 53.67%, at production stage was 60.00%, and at harvesting stage was 70.00%. Meanwhile, at seeding segment, the percentage of production quality was 67.20%, at production stage was 63.70%, and at harvesting stage was 68.70%. R/C ratio in growing segment was 1.39 and in seeding segment was 1.48, which means that both of the segments of carp farming were feasible to manage. Based on FFA analysis, the strategies that need to be done are conducting human resource empowerment (farmers) by appropriate technology innovations, institutional strengthening of farmer groups, conserving natural resources, and improving cooperation between farmers with local marine and fisheries department. STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN AGRIBISNIS DAN AGROINDUSTRI SUB SEKTOR TANAMAN PANGAN DI KABUPATEN SITUBONDO
Development strategy research purposes agribusiness and agro food crops subsector in the district Situbondo are : (1) to determine the subsector agribusiness development centers crops , (2) to determine the trend of food commodities , (3) to analyze the value added of agro based food crops and (4) to strategize the development of agribusiness and agro food crop subsector in Situbondo. Research methods lead to the descriptive and analytical methods. The data used in this study is primary data and secondary data . Analysis tools to be used in the study are: (1) Location Quetion (LQ analysis ); (2) Trend Line Test with Total Least Squares Method, (3) value added analysis, and (4) FFA (Field Force Analysis). Discussion of results (1) Rice, maize, soybean, cassava , peanuts, green is a sector basis in some areas in Situbondo ,(2) types of food crops in 2010-2014 increased production are maize, cassava, peanuts, green beans, (3) agro based agricultural commodities community cultivated in Situbondo positive gain added value, and (4) alternative development strategy aimed at facilitating the establishment of agri terminal , which is supported by the activities of agroindustry incubator and cluster based agro commodities agriculture. TRANSFORMASI TENAGA KERJA WANITA DI SEKTOR AGROINDUSTRI TEMBAKAU
This research was to know factors of woman labor transformation to tobacco agroindustry in Jember Regency by purposive method. Interaction of environmental factors (work) significantly affect the transformation of woman labor decisions of the agricultural sector (as agricultural laborers) to tobacco agroindustry (as a factory employee) of -0.98, and direct effect of the transformation on the level of income of 0.502 and significant. The biggest influence is given by the age of 2 lines, the interaction effect of age to the environment (work) through the transformation of 0,058 with the direction of the negative relationship. STRATEGI PEMASARAN BUAH LOKAL JAWA TIMUR
This study aims to examine mechanism of the parties involved on reclaiming in acquiring, controlling and maintaining the flow of benefits from protected forest protection and its distribution. The method of research was qualitative approach using case study strategy and multi method. Reclaiming of protected forest by community of coffee growers in Sidomulyo has ideological purpose that is related to the reasons of morality, justice, normative and history. It also has a practical purpose that is related to the economic and ecological value of forests. The main actors in the conflict for agrarian resource (protected forests) are community of coffee growers and Perhutani. In addition there are also other actors are indirectly involved. They are private sector (traders, owners of capital and exporters) and government (village and region). The actors have their own interests to protected forest as conflicted resource. Mechanism of the parties in acquiring, controlling and maintaining the flow of benefits from protected forest and its distribution is influenced by the ability to access the technology, capital, markets, knowledge, authority, social identity and social relations.Keywords: Contestastion, Conflict, Access mechanism, and Agrarian resource
FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PETANI MELAKUKAN TUNDA JUAL DI KECAMATAN SANDEN KABUPATEN BANTUL
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan seorang petani bawang merah yang melakukan tunda jual dan tidak melakukan tunda jual, 2) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan petani dalam memanfaatkan gudang induk bawang merah. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Metode penarikan petani contoh digunakan metode acak sebanding (proporsioanal random sampling. Tujuan pertama dijawab dengan menggunakan rumus pendapatan dan untuk menguji hipotesisnya digunakan uji t-test student, sedangkan tujuan kedua dan ketiga dijawab dengan menggunakan model regresi binary logistic. Hasil analisis menggunakan regresi binary logistic menunjukkan bahwa umur, harga, pendapatan, penangkar, dan pekerjaan sampingan berpengaruh nyata terhadap keputusan petani untuk melakukan tunda jual atau tidak. Jarak dan pengurus gudang berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap keputusan petani untuk memanfaatkan gudang induk bawang merah sebagai tempat menyimpan bawang merah selama melakukan kegiatan tunda jual. Hasil kajian menunjukan keberadaan gudang induk bawang merah belum dimanfaatkan secara efektif oleh petani bawang merah yang ada di Kecamatan Sanden, hal tersebut terbukti  dari 90 petani responden, diketahui hanya sebesar 12,2% (11 petani) yang memanfaatkan gudang. FAKTOR PENDORONG DAN PENGHAMBAT MEWUJUDKAN MODEL SINERGIS PENGEMBANGAN WILAYAH TAPAL KUDA MENJADI KESATUAN DAERAH PERENCANAAN DI ERA OTONOMI DAERAH
Central issue leading this research is on optimistic way of thinking that there is possibility of policy model formulation alternative that can synergy any interests in order to actualize Horse Shoe area in East Java province into regional planning unit under the importance of regional autonomy policy implementation. The problem being researched are: (a) what critical factors that can be as trigger and inhibitor factors are, and (b) how the formulation of alternative model of policy can be viewed as effective and efficient. The approach of analysis being used is descriptive and qualitative. Based on the research, this can be identified into 6 critical factors of political aspect, 8 economic aspects, 3 social aspects and 7 institutional aspects that can be viewed as the potential for trigger factors. Thus with that there are 4 critical factors of political aspect, 3 economic aspect, 2 social aspect, and 3 institutional aspect that can be viewed as the potential for inhibitor aspects. ANALISIS PERILAKU KONSUMEN BERAS ORGANIK DI KABUPATEN JEMBER
Food is an essential commodities and strategic. Rice is one commodity food that has an important role, both in terms of producers, consumers, government, the community and the environment in general. With increasing population, increasing levels of education and income per capita then the need for rice in particular food consumption also increased. The enthusiasm of the public to consume organic rice is also expected continues to increase along with the awareness of people to live healthy. Research in Consumer Behavior Analysis of Organic Rice in Jember conducted in order to determine: (1). Factors that influence the behavior of consumers in the purchase of organic rice in Jember, (2). Is there a relationship between level of education and income levels of consumers with consumer response to quality attributes of rice in the purchase of organic rice in Jember. This study was conducted in Jember with sampling and identification method in the field. The results showed: (1). the factors that influence consumer behaviour in purchasing organic rice in Jember is the quality factor (texture, grain, color, taste), promotion factor (friend information, leaflets, sellers, packaging), health factors (nutrition and nourishment), factor of safety of consuming (where to buy, certification, pesticide residues) and factor of prices (2). There is no real relationship between the levels of education of consumers with consumer response to quality attributes of rice in the purchase of organic rice in Jember (3).
