    ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PENDAPATAN PETERNAK RAKYAT SAPI POTONG DI KECAMATAN LAMPASIO KABUPATEN TOLITOLI PROVINSI SULAWESI TENGAH

    This research aims to determine the factors affected the income of farmer in business of beef cattle in Lampasio district, Tolitoli regency. This research applied purposive sampling technique in choosing sample. There were 36 selected sampless as respondents of three districts: Sibea, Lampasio, and Tinading. The observed variables were the characteristics of respondents’ income such as breeders’ age. Level of education, number of family, and farming experinence. The multiple regression was employed to find out the significant effect of the farmer income. The result showed that farmer age is old with low education level, with more than 7 years experience. The coefficient value of R by 0,131which means that observed variables was 13,1% whereas the value of unobserved variables in this research was 86,9%. Eventhough there is no significant variable effect to farmer income, the education effects positvively to farmer income.   Keywords: income, beef cattle, multiple regressio

    PENGARUH MANAJEMEN USAHA DAN MUROTAL AL-QUR’AN SERTA FAKTOR EKONOMI TERHADAP PRODUKSI USAHA TERNAK AYAM BROLIER

    This study aims to determine: (1) the factors that influence the production of broiler chicken farming, (2) the effect of broiler chicken business management on production, and (3) the effect of murotal Al-Qur'an and other production factors on production. This research was conducted in Malang Regency, with the consideration that Malang Regency is one of the three (3) big broiler-producing districts in East Java. As the unit of analysis is primary data from interviews with broiler breeders who were selected as respondents. The analysis tool uses multiple linear regression models using the natural form (Ln). The results showed that: (1) The production of broiler chicken farming was positively influenced by the number of seeds, the amount of feed, business management, business capacity, murotal Al-Qur'an and the volume of business above the average. Broiler chicken production is negatively affected by the area of ​​the house, the number of dead chickens, and the number of abandoned chickens. Independent variables that do not affect the production of broiler chicken farming are the management of broiler chicken raising and the number of person working days (HKO). To increase production, it is necessary to increase the number of seeds, the amount of feed, optimize the area of ​​the cage, reduce the number of dead chickens, reduce the number of dead chickens, improve business management, increase business capacity, utilize murotal Al-Qur'an and with business volume above average.     Aplication is expected to be effort to improve coffee farming in Panti District, Jember Regency is by implementing the people's coffee farming according to Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) guidelines. This study aims to determine the level of application of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) of people's coffee farming, and determine the factors that influence. The analysis uses scoring analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed 1) the level of application of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) of coffee farming was 80.58 or suitable category 2) Adj R-Square value of 63.5%, variability in the level application of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) of people's coffee farming explain by age, education level, family dependent, land area, intensity of smallholder, access farm information, and price perception. F test results obtained that all independent variables simultan have a significant effect on the level of implementation of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) of people's coffee farming. T test results show that the dependents of the family, land area, access to farming information, and perception of coffee prices partially have a significant effect while the age, education level, and intensity of farmers' presence partially do not significantly influence the level of implementation of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) of coffee farming people

    The increase in coffee consumption in Japan is caused by several reasons, including changes in lifestyle in society due to westernization which introduced the habit of drinking coffee. Marketing that emphasizes instant coffee and roasted or ground coffee beans, a fast growing cafe or coffee shop. The product innovation process is increasingly developing so that Japanese people can enjoy coffee more easily. The research objective was to determine the factors that influence the volume of Indonesian coffee exports to Japan. The research method in this research uses quantitative methods. Type of data used is secondary data in the form of time series data from 1989 to 2018. The data sources were obtained from the directorate general of the United Nations and Commodities of Trade (UN Comtrade), World Bank. The analysis used multiple linear regression models through the ECM approach. The results showed that an increase in Japanese population, world tea prices and Indonesia Japan Economics Partnership (IJEPA) policies would increase the volume of Indonesian coffee exports to Japan. While Japanese coffee consumption, world coffee prices and inflation reduce the volume of Indonesian coffee exports to Japan. The increase in coffee production, Japanese GDP and the exchange rate did not increase or decrease the volume of coffee exports to Japan.   Keywords: coffee, exports, consumption, error correction mode

    Batu City is an agricultural area that implements an organic farming system. the emergence of organic farming system as part of a sustainable agriculture system which is one of the answers to the degradation of the agricultural environment, the dependence of farmers on the components of the green revolution and the fading of local wisdom in farmers is very important to get serious attention. The purpose of this research is to describe the perceptions and analyze the factors of adoption of innovations in organic vegetable farming in Batu City. The method of taking the population and the sample of this study were determined by the census method. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of farmers, the nature of technology and the competency of instructors have a positive and significant effect on the adoption of innovations. The factor that has the most influence on the adoption of organic vegetable farming innovations in Batu City is the competency of extension workers. Recommendations that can be given are frequent counseling about organic agriculture and there must also be an understanding of the mindset of the extension participants so that counseling runs optimally

    ANALISIS INVESTASI DAN KONTRIBUSI SEKTOR PERTANIAN TERHADAP PEREKONOMIAN KABUPATEN MERANGIN PROVINSI JAMBI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN ICOR

    The research objective: (1) analyzing the investment and economics of Merangin Regency, (2) analyzing the contribution of the agricultural sektor to the economics of Merangin Regency, Jambi Province. The data used are series data from 2010-2014. Data were analyzed through the Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) approach. The results showed that during the 2011-2014 period, the largest investment was made in the agricultural sektor which reached 37.45 percent, then followed by the trade sektor and the manufacturing sektor, respectively 28.00 and 16.80 percent. The average ICOR rate for the period 2010-2014 was 9.41. The 2015 ICOR score is better than the previous year's ICOR value. The agricultural sektor has the lowest ICOR and is followed by the transportation sektor; construction; finance; and the service sektor so that the agricultural sektor has a positive and efficient impact on investing. The analysis shows that the agricultural sektor has a contribution to the economic of Merangin Regency

    TECHNICAL EFFICIENCY OF PADDY’S FARMING IN VARIOUS TYPES OF PADDY’S SEEDS IN INDONESIA

    The increasing need for food along with increasing population is one of the problems that must be resolved by Indonesia nation. The government is trying to increase rice production and productivity by using certified seeds. Certified seeds is expected to affect technical efficiency of rice farming. The objectives of this studies are to analyze the level of technical efficiency and to identify the factors that influence the technical efficiency of rice farming in various types of main sources of rice seeds in Indonesia. The study uses secondary data that obtained from Central Bureau of Statistic (BPS) as a results from the 2014 Rice Plant Business Household Survey (SPD 2014). Data were analyzed using stochastic frontier. The results showed that the average technical efficiency level achieved by farmers in rice farming is 0,656 or less than 0,70 (<0,70) so it can be said that rice farming in Indonesia is still technically inefficient. Factors that affecting the technical efficiency of rice farming in various types of main sources of rice seeds in Indonesia were age, formal education, dummy participation of agricultural extension, and dummy certified seeds.  Keywords: certified seeds, rice farming, stochastic frontier analysis, technical efficiency, non-certified seed

    ANALISIS DETERMINAN TINGKAT PENGELUARAN KONSUMSI PANGAN DI JAWA TIMUR

    East Java is a province that has a high population, household consumption expenditure is an important thing to consider. The implication is that there will be an increase in production and investment in East Java. Therefore, household consumption expenditure is one of the determinants of community welfare. This study aims to analyze the structure of household consumption expenditure and the factors that influence food expenditure in East Java. The data used were secondary data from East Java in Figures 2019. This study was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The analysis showed that there has been an increase in the welfare of the people of East Java. This is indicated by an increase in the amount of non-food expenditure is higher than food expenditure. Factors affecting household food expenditure in East Java are GRDP per capita, inflation rate, rice prices, and non-food expenditure. Based on these results it is suggested that the government needs to maintain the stability of prices of goods and services to avoid inflation because inflation will reduce public consumption and have implications for the economy of East Java.     RELASI SOSIAL DALAM PENGELOLAAN LAHAN REHABILITASI TAMAN NASIONAL MERU BETIRI (Studi Kasus Desa Wonoasri Kecamatan Tempurejo Kabupaten Jember)

    Forest rehabilitation in Meru Betiri National Park is the main point in environmental sustainability. Forest land rehabilitation activities include breeding ecosystems for security in the forest. The method of determining the research area is done intentionally (purposive method) and the research method uses a qualitative approach. Determination of informants is done by snowball sampling method. The data collection method was carried out by observation, interview and document study and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis method. The results showed that social relations that occur in the management of rehabilitation have 2 forms of domains, namely 1) interpersonal domains that can be seen with communal relations, collegial relations and hirearkis relations. Judging from its power relations are divided into symmetrical and asymmetrical relationships. Symmetrical relationship occurs between rehab land farmers where rehab land farmers have an equal position can be seen from daily relationships and friendly relations in managing rehabilitation land. Asymmetrical relationship that occurs in the rehabilitation of land management occurs between the TNMB and farmers of the rehabilitation land where the TNMB party has the highest authority in the management of rehabilitation land.     FACTORS AFFECTING FARMER'S CLIMATE RISK PERCEPTION IN DEVELOPED AND DEVELOPING COUNTRIES : EVIDENCE FROM SWITZERLAND AND GHANA

    Climate change is the primary challenge of agricultural production in developing and developed countries. Farmers' perception of climate change is the critical driver in encouraging farmers to take autonomous adaptation practices. Thus, this study aimed to identify factors affecting farmers' perception of climate change in developing and developed countries and take Ghana and Switzerland as the study cases. The study used data from 378 cocoa farmers in Ghana and 109 farmers in Switzerland. The data was obtained from a structured interview and survey and contained socio-economic and farm characteristics of farmers. This study employed an ordered probit regression to estimate the factors affecting farmers' perception of climate change. The results show that landholding, farm income, and education significantly affect farmer perception of climate change. Landholding and farm income significantly affect farmer perception of climate change in Switzerland and Ghana. But, education only significantly affects the farmers' perception of climate change in Switzerland. Meanwhile, age and crops/livestock ownership does not significantly affect farmers' perception of climate change in Ghana and Switzerland. The results also show that Switzerland's farmers have a stronger perception of climate change than farmers in Ghana. Keywords: climate risk perception, climate change perception, Ghana, Switzerlan
