    The story has a tremendous impact on the formation of a child\u27s character, especially if the story delivered can impress on the child. However, to convey interesting and memorable stories to children is not arbitrary. Skills using the story method are important to be mastered by the teacher to teach Islamic Education that is fun and memorable in the soul of the santri (students in Islamic school). There are several things that need to be considered in using story methods, including preparation, storytelling techniques and storytelling skills. Preparations that must be made before delivering the story include choosing the theme of the story, preparing teaching properties, and mastering the contents of the story. Then, the techniques that must be mastered by the teacher in conveying the story consist of opening story techniques, storytelling techniques with properties, techniques for dealing with disturbances in storytelling, and techniques for closing and evaluating stories. Storytelling skills that need to be mastered by teachers include movement, vocal and facial expressions as well as language and communication

    When people say Ahli Kitab, the Muslims views tend to lead to infidels. But is that so? Is Ahli Kitab are infidels? Or are they believers? The purpose of this study is to explore the truth in the perspective of the Qur\u27an and its implications for religious tolerance. By using the method of "Digital Qur\u27an Thematically", each verse with the term of Ahli Kitab is analyzed. From the analysis of the verses of the Qur’an found 35 verses about the term of Ahli Kitab, including eight verses which state that the Ahli Kitab are infidels, and two verses declare some of the Ahli Kitab of Faith. This finding implies the implications of religious tolerance, namely mutual respect for one\u27s faith, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad

    Kehadiran UU No. 12/2012 tentang Pendidikan Tinggi menjadi angin segar bagi PTKI, karena penyelenggaraan pendidikannya mendapat pengakuan secara konstitusional. Namun demikian, basis konstitusional ini masih menyisakan banyak persoalan, salah satunya dilihat dari perspektif epistemologi integrasi-interkoneksi yang telah menjadikan al-Qur’an dan Hadis sebagai core values bagi keilmuan Islam. Tulisan ini dengan analisis isi menemukan bahwa epistemologi keilmuan integrasi-interkoneksi merupakan gagasan Prof. M. Amin Abdullah yang berusaha memadukan dan mengaitkan antara  “ilmu” dan “agama”, yang tergambar dalam model Jaring Laba-Laba. Tujuh wilayah rumpun ilmu agama Islam, sebagaimana tertera dalam UU No. 12/2012 mendapat legitimasi al-Qur’an melalui sebaran berbagai ayatnya dalam bentuk pemetaan. Ketujuh bidang rumpun ilmu agama Islam ini posisinya masih berada dalam Lingkar Lapis Dua dalam epistemologi integrasi-interkoneksi model Jaring Laba-Laba. Dengan demikian,tujuh bidang rumpun ilmu agama Islam dalam UU No. 12/2012 ini tidak cukup relevan dengan semangat perubahan dari IAIN ke UIN yang menghendaki adanya peningkatan lapisan dari Lapis Dua ke Lapis Tiga dalam model Jaring Laba-Laba

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya fenomena menarik terkait maraknya pembacaan zikir Ratib Haddad di kota Palembang. Sebagaimana diketahui, zikir Ratib Haddad merupakan zikir para penganut tarekat Haddadiyah yang kebanyakan justru dianut masyarakat keturunan Arab Hadramaut. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis untuk melihat bagaimana zikir ini dibaca dan menjadi gambaran penyebaran tarekat Haddadiyah di Palembang. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa maraknya pembacaan zikr Ratib Haddad di kota Palembang tidak dapat dilepaskan dari peran Syekh Ali Umar Thoyyib dan para muridnya yang tergabung dalam majelis zikir al-Awwabien. Tetapi maraknya pembacaan zikir ini tidak menunjukkan bahwa tarekat haddadiyah dianut masyarakat Palembang; sebab zikir Ratib Haddad lebih dianggap sebagai zikir umum yang pembacaannya boleh dilakukan oleh siapa saja

    Mysticism is an inner struggle in search of light, clues and a way of chatting with the inner realm to reach knowledge through enlightenment. However, epistemically, mysticism is very personal, therefore it cannot be scientifically accountable. In the hands of Plotinus, mysticism seems to be living with its philosophical nuances, so that it is easily explained and adapted as one of the objects of philosophical study. Until now the legacy of the philosophy of Neoplatonism is still exists not only in the academy area, but also penetrated and became the understanding held by some Muslims who engaged in the world of Sufism both philosophical and moral. This indicates that there is freedom to have the people\u27s horizons that can be adopted from anywhere while at the same time indicating the colors of Islamic thought. Understanding mysticism in Islam should indeed not be muzzled for any reason or to be confronted with Islamic understanding that is fiqh or fiqh oriented. Because, exploring Islamic mysticism which is recognized is influenced by the teachings of Neoplatonism, proves and teaches the people that there is a strong relationship between the conception of Shari\u27a and the conception of Sufism about worship so that they do not need to be contested because they have indicators that perfect the essence of tawhid and worship

    This paper is motivated by a kind of academic questions, or anxieties towards; like what traditional people used to answer the phenomena that exist in the middle of their lives. The answers will certainly be a reference, even as a knowledge, perhaps not yet in the scientific category, but knowledge only. Knowledge that is created or raised is in order to answer the questions of human on natural, social and sociocultural phenomena, and so on. The author sees that one side of the presence of this knowledge is in folklore. That said, because traditional society usually answers the questions of their children and grandchildren about natural phenomena and others, presented in words such as a series of stories. Or, explain about threats and punishments and behavioral replies. Regardless of the scientific or not, as long as the words and stories are able to answer people\u27s thirst, or explain anything at that time about certain questions, then that is the knowledge that is present in their time. For this reason, the author wants to see what knowledge is presented in the folklore, how it is characterized. This research uses philosophical, qualitative, and hermeneutical methods. The result of this research is that folklore is able to provide knowledge about ethical values. Establish knowledge, and answer certain regional histories, and natural phenomena for the provision of daily life

    Peribahasa Melayu berupa pepatah, perumpamaan, pemeo dan pantun atau sajak dalam Tafsir Al-Azhar karya Hamka sebagai wacana budaya, politik dan agama, dapat dipahami dengan baik melalui metode pendekatan analisis wacana kritis (AWK). Pendekatan ini dapat dengan jelas mengungkapkan hubungan antara wacana (discourse), kekuasaan, dominasi, ketidaksetaraan sosial yang berkembang mengiringi hadirnya wacana tersebut dengan memfokuskan pada bahasa yang digunakan, wacana yang dibangun, interaksi verbal dalam kegiatan komunikasi. Dilihat dari analisis wacana kritis, peribahasa Melayu yang dibawakan Hamka dalam Tafsir al-Azhar memperlihatkan adanya tiga aspek produksi makna dalam kehidupan sosial yang menyiratkan adanya kepentingan, maksud dan tujuan tertentu, atau bahkan nilai yang disembunyikan di balik peribahasa Melayu yang digunakan oleh Hamka, yakni aspek budaya, politik dan agama

    Sejak tahun 2004, sosok Zakir Abdul Karim Naik, yang biasa dipanggil Zakir Naik, melakukan pencerahan Islam yang sarat bernuansa logis, rasionalitas, ilmiah, bahkan filosofis. Pencerahan keagamaannya tidak dalam bentuk ceramah agama sebagaimana biasanya yang dilakukan oleh para ulama dan kiyai Muslim. Pertama tidak cenderung dilakukan di mesjid.     Learning is related to students\u27 understanding of the material taught by the teacher so that students get the best results. The problems that exist, the teaching materials of Islamic Education and Character used in NU Middle School have not been compiled based on needs analysis and are not developed based on the rules of developing standardized teaching materials. So that this study aims to produce a model of teaching material for Islamic Education and Character Skills for Class VII Palembang NU Middle School Based on Brain Ability that is valid, practical, and effective. The type of research used is the research and development model Jan Van Den Akker. Results obtained from the study are: (1) RPP based on the results of theoretical studies that are in line with the results of needs analysis; (2) teaching materials for Islamic Education and Character in SKI Material for Class VII Palembang NU Middle School Based on Brain Ability has been proven to be valid, practical and effective. Valid with an average score of 99.09%; practical with perceptual scores in the range 1024 and 1280 (in the category strongly agree); effective with the results of the Paired T test 32,769 with a significance level of 0.00 or 32,769> 0.00 so that it can be concluded that H0 is rejected, therefore Ha is accepted

    This paper describes the interest of reading Islamic education teachers at senior high school in the city of Bogor - West Java. This study was conducted in August - September 2016. The focus of the discussion on the urgency of reading religious literature according to Islamic education Teachers at senior high school in Bogor City and a wide selection of literature that the teachers are interested in. The targets are senior high school of Islamic education teachers that have been certified, both civil servant teachers and non-civil servant teachers. The purpose of this research is to know more deeply about reading interest through the urgency of reading religious literature according to Islamic education teachers at senior high school in Bogor City and a wide selection of literature that interest teachers and used in teaching Islamic Religious Education materials in schools. Based on the results of research, overall, interest in reading owned by Islamic education teachers  in Bogor city is still very good. As many as 94% or 34 Islamic education teachers at senior high school who say the importance of reading religious literature is essential. The variety of literature that is preferred by Islamic education teachers at senior high school in Bogor more on the material Aqidah followed by the material fiqh, morals and history of Islamic civilizatio
