Characteristic Of Shrimp Catch Of Sondong In Kampung Laut Village Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency
Kampung Laut is an area where fishing activities are done. Fishermen get profit by catching shrimp. One of the tools used is sondong. The kinds of shrimp that are widely catched in there are lime, dogol, and yellow shrimp. The important thing in catching shrimp is paying attention to its size. The suitable size for the catching is a goal in the management of good fisheries to conserve shrimp resources in water. This study aims to see the characteristics of the shrimp caught by sondong in Kampung Laut, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. Method used is simple random sampling, the number of shrimp samples taken is 10% of the total catch per shrimp species. The results showed that the lime shrimp taken with a sondong fishing tool in the Kampung Laut, collected 9,10-14,80 cm with a percentage of shrimp worth capturing 61%. The size of the dogol shrimp caught in the range of 8.70-14.00 cm with a percentage of shrimp worth catching 60%. The size of the yellow shrimp is around 7.50-12.00 cm with the percentage of shrimp worth catching 53%. The correlation coefficient value of lime shrimp weight length is 2.89, dogol shrimp 2.30, and yellow shrimp 2.27. The conclusion is shrimp taken with sondong fishing tool in Kampung Laut has various sizes, ranging from small to large sizes. The growth patterns of lime shrimp, dogol shrimp, and yellow shrimp showed negative allometric growth properties. Percentage of shrimp size that is catchable is greater compared to uncatchable shrimp
Study of Tidal Characteristics in The South and North Coastal of Sumenep Regency, Madura
Sumenep is one of Madura's regency, which has many islands with a wealth and diversity of natural resources, especially in its marine and coastal areas. With many islands owned, sea transportation in Sumenep is of great importance in the regency. One of the crucial aspects that must be considered related to this transportation is tidal information. This study aims to determine the tidal characteristics in the South and North Coast of Sumenep Regency using the Least Square method. The tide data used in February and September 2020 were obtained from the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) with an observation interval of one hour. This time was chosen because it represents monsoons' occurrence in Indonesia in the annual season, namely the dry and rainy seasons. The results of this study indicate that the southern coastal area (Giligenting District) has a mixed tidal type, tends to be semi-diurnal with Formzahl numbers of 0.86 and 1.29 (0.25 <F £ 1.5). In comparison, the North coast (Dasuk District) has a Diurnal tidal type with Formzahl numbers of 3.64 and 4.30 (F > 3.0). The different tides are due to the sampling's location representing different geographical conditions, namely open waters (North Coast) and closed waters (Pesisir Selatan). The elevation parameters obtained still need supporting data such as waves, currents, and bathymetry used by policymakers for safety in using sea transportation.
Design Appropriateness of Boat Lift Net Based on Archipelagic Fishing Port of Karangantu
Boat lift net fishing fleets in Archipelagic Fishing Port of Karangantu were built traditionally and does not have design drawings. The boats are doing its fishing activities as usual although hadn’t preliminary design. This research aims at analyzing the design appropriateness of boat lift net compliment to the static gear vessel in Indonesia. The survey method with purposive sampling is applied in the research. The research is done in Archipelagic Fishing Port of Karangantu on July until October 2019 with identification the compartments of the boat and direct measurements of the boat. The result shows that the main dimensions ratio and coefficient of fineness of boat lift net has been appropriate as static gear vessel for fishing activities. Comparison of Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) and Sobel Filter Methods in Landsat 8 Imagery for Coastline Extraction
For a country, the existence of a coastline has an important value because it acts as a protection for marine resources and determines maritime boundaries between countries. There are various methods used for coastline analysis, both manual by digitizing and automatic by edge detection. This study compares the Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) method with the Sobel filter for coastline extraction in the South Coast of Sampang, Madura using Landsat 8 imagery. The best approach is then applied to the image to determine changes in coastlines from 2015 to 2020. This research shows that visually, the NDWI method produces better edges than the Sobel filter because the resulting lines are close to the original conditions in Landsat 8 or Basemap World Imagery. Sobel filter, the resulting accuracy is not very good. It does not approach field conditions, but this filter has the advantage of a relatively fast processing time because it can use a single band. Then the NDWI value generated in this study has a range of -0.497121 to 0.377046. The first class, which is a non-water body object, has a value of -0.497121 to 0. Then the second class, which is a body of water object, has a value of 0 to 0.377046. The coastline change for five years shows a shift in the coastline with a range of 0.62 to 2.75 meters. The Landsat 8 pixel size is 30 meters, while the shift is only <3 meters. So that this experiment does not show any significant coastline changes. Suggestions for further research: It is necessary to conduct a study using high-resolution imagery to confirm changes in the coastline accurately
Marine Tourism Potential in Pangandaran Regency
Tourism sector in Pangandaran Regency is an important sector that contributes regional income. One of the famous types of tourism in Pangandaran Regency is marine tourism. Conditions and geographical location of Pangandaran Regency which has 91 km coast line makes Pangandaran as one of the favorite marine tourism destinations in West Java. This conditions allows marine tourism to become a leading sector that has potential in terms of tourism attraction and economic valuation. Based on that condition, this study was conducted to find out the economic potential and the factors that influence numbers of tourist visits to marine tourism in Pangandaran Regency. A total of 96 tourist respondent were asked to answer several questions related to the study that was held at five marine tourism locations in Pangandaran Regency (Karapyak Beach, Pangandaran Beach, Batuhiu Beach, Batukaras Beach and Madasari Beach). This study began in September 2019 until July 2020. Based on the results of the study, it is known that marine tourism in Pangandaran Regency 3A potential (attraction, accessibility and amenities/accomodation). The findings indicated that from six factors under study, the most influential factors in the marine tourism demand in Pangandaran Regency are income, travel expense and distance travelled. Consumen surplus based on the individual travel cost method (TCM) amounting to 13,354 IDR per individual per visit and then obtained the estimated economic value of tourism is 51,763,207,799 ID
Evaluation of Body Lotion from Seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii) and Jicama (Pachyrhizus erosus)
The combination of natural ingredients derived from the sea and land for cosmetics has not been done much. Natural ingredients that are known to have good properties for the skin are jicama and seaweed so the objective of this study was to formulate seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii) and jicama (Pachyrhizus erosus) as a body lotion. The objective in this study was to determine the best body lotion preparations from seaweed (K. alvarezii) and jicama (P. erosus). The combination of seaweed and jicama as much as 15% with the formulation of seaweed and jicama were F1 (1:2), F2 (1:1), and F3 (2:1) with Completely Randomized Design, respectively. Organoleptic test results from body lotion including aroma, color, texture, and absorption in all treatments were not significantly different, except in controls. In all treatments, the type of emulsions was O/W and homogeneous. The pH values at F0, F1, F2, and F3 were 7.82; 7.97; 8.04 and 8.09. The viscosity test results found that the best treatment was F1 (16,941 cPs), while for antioxidant activity was the F3 treatment (1,656 µg/ml). Based on antioxidant performance, it was best to treat F3 for body lotion from K. alvarezii seaweed and jicama powder
Characteristics of Mackerel Tuna (Euthynnus affinis) Fish Oil During Storage in Freezer
Red flesh fish contain in some varieties of fatty acids. One of the fish that has potential as a source of fish oil is mackerel tuna. The Fatty acid content in mackerel tuna can be used as the source of fatty acid for the human body if that component has been separated from other substances such as water or extracted from fish flesh. The method used to produce oil or fat from the materials suspected to have them is called extraction. While the way of extraction used is wet rendering. This research aims to know the characteristics of omega-3 during storage in the freezer. The Materials used in this research was Mackerel Tuna (Euthynnus affinis). This research was an experimental laboratory with three repetitions. The storage duration consisted of the zero and the thirtieth day. The parameters observed were the amount of yield, a profile of fatty acids, peroxide value, and the test of organoleptic during storage. Analysis data used variety analysis (ANOVA) and advanced test of Tukey HSD. The result data of the organoleptic test was analyzed by Kruskal Wallis test. The result showed that the yield of mackerel fish oil with wet rendering was 0,90% (w/w). There was nine profile of fatty acids consisting of SFA, MUFA, and PUFA. The omega-3 of mackerel tuna fish oil decreases during storage by 5,035% to 3,332%. The peroxide value has been increased from 13,59 meq/kg to 15,45 meq/kg. Organoleptic tests during storage decreased from 5,43 to 5,37. Storage of mackerel tuna fish oil significantly affected the content of fatty acids, peroxide value, and organoleptic value (P<0,05
Determination of Pharmacokinetics and Withdrawal time of Enrofloxacine Antibiotic on Catfish (Clarias gariepinus)
The purpose of this study was to determine the pharmacokinetics and time of withdrawal of antibiotic enrofloxacin in catfish (Clarias gariepinus) which was attacked by Aeromonas hydrophila. The study was conducted from June to August 2017 at Station for Investigation of Fish Health and Environment, at Pasauran, Serang Regency. The experimental method consisted of two treatments and three replications with each container using 110 fishes. Control treatment was those without antibiotics, while the withdrawal time was those with antibiotics during five days, after five days the withdrawal time container was without antibiotics again. The pharmacokinetics and withdrawal time were determined by the longest time in the organ (ELISA method) and water quality were analyzed descriptively. Data analysis using 95% confidence interval and 50% confidence interval MRL (limited residual maximum). The results showed that the catfish antibiotic was found highest in the renal organ were 360.73 μg / kg before the renal treatment of 10.68 μg / kg and the liver after the highest treatment was 415.75 μg / kg before liver treatment 13.60 μg / kg and increased after treatment. Therefore, the withdrawal time of antibiotic enrofloxacin in catfish was at 16 days
