    Get PDF
It is recorded that around 80% of DIY MSMEs have no right platform to market their products digitally. DIY MSMEs still lack in terms of innovation and the desire to improve quality through digital. Through the Provincial Cooperative & SME Service, the DIY government collaborates with PT JogjaKita Multi Andalan to deal with these problems. Therefore, this research aims to discover the collaboration model between the DIY Government and entrepreneurs through the JogjaKita application in the revitalization of digital-based MSMEs in the digital era 4.0. This research used a qualitative method with a case study approach and analyzed using an interactive model assisted by Nvivo 12 Plus. The research results show that the established collaboration is relatively successful. The collaboration model begins with a face-to-face dialog, and then building trust which takes a long time, around two years due to an internal conflict within the JogjaKita Company. This collaboration is quite helpful for several MSMEs in increasing the capacity and sales transactions. However, some obstacles still need to be faced, such as the small number of MSME actors who use the SiBakul free shipping service on the JogjaKita application, as well as the uneven distribution of infrastructure network in DIY

Communication Network Analysis on the Issue of #PertaminaKembaliTerbakar on Social Media X year 2023

    Get PDF
The case of the Pertamina refinery that caught fire again in 2023 became a trending topic on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the incident occurred. From this topic, researchers aimed to measure and analyze the communication network that was formed, the topics discussed, and the actors involved. Due to the limited research on social media communication networks related to the issue identification process for companies, this study also focused on analyzing the results of mapping the communication network that formed on social media platform X and its connection to the concept of reputation when a company faces a negative issue. Data collection was done using the Netlytic application, which was then processed using the Gephi application. From the data collection results, the research showed a diameter value of 9, indicating a relatively loose network of actors. The density, with a value of 0.001445, and the reciprocity, with a value of 0.0001443, indicated very low interaction density. From the actor's perspective, there were three main actors with the highest degree of centrality connecting other actors, but the topics discussed tended to be negative. These findings indicate that the actor @detikcom is dominant, with many other actors connected to the account to discuss topics related to Pertamina. The second dominant actors are @geiszchalifah and @giginpraginanto, who, upon further investigation, are active figures on social media providing information and commenting on political issues

Semiotic Analysis of "Hyundai Presents Re:Style 2020" Green Marketing in Automotive Ads

    Get PDF
One detrimental consequence of the automotive industry's excessive production is the accumulation of end-of-life vehicles (ELV). ELV ought to be disposed of via a waste recycling system. As a result, the automotive sector bears a substantial obligation with regard to ELV. Hyundai is one of the automotive industries that has managed ELV effectively. The YouTube advertisement for the Hyundai Re:Style Presents 2020 model illustrates this. Hyundai's collaboration with fashion designers to recycle automobile byproducts including leather, airbags, seat belts, and glass is featured in the advertisement. They create fashion items from waste, including jewelry, denim jumpsuits, work vests, corsets, and tote bags. Researchers are intrigued by the pursuit of investigating the significance of the sign representation, the object, and the interpretant, as well as the implications of advertising within the framework of green marketing theory. To achieve this aim, the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Peirce was employed by featuring a triadic model comprising an object, representation, and interpretant. Additionally, Sinh's green marketing framework was incorporated, comprising a green place, green product, green price, and green promotion. Consequently, A qualitative research based on Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics was used. The results shows that the signs, objects, and interpretants in Hyundai advertisements show the meaning of green marketing

Dissecting Gender and Power Dynamics in Indonesian Online Media

Political women in Jane Ahlstrand's view have always attracted greater attention because of their differences with masculine political norms. (Subedi et al., 2023).  In the context of socio-political change, prominent political figures can become icons through which ideological boundaries and power relations are contested and redefined in various discursive platforms. Women in the world of politics have become media icons that are very prominent in the conditions of socio-political transformation. (J. Ahlstrand, 2023). One of Ahlstrand's works is Women, Media, and Power in Indonesia,  a book published by Routledge, sponsored by the Asian Studies Association of Australia (S. Ahlstrand, 2019). This book shows the important relationship between gender and power structures in democratic Indonesia, and the role of online media in regulating these power relationships (Robinson, 2020; Sakai, 2021). By using critical discourse analysis (CDA) as a theoretical framework (Fairclough, 2015), and social actor analysis as a methodological approach (Leeuwen, 2008). This study examines the discursive representation of three Indonesia women political figures, namely the Chairperson of the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri, the Mayor of Surabaya Tri Rismaharini, and the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudji Astuti (Aspinall, 2019; Crouch, 2021).The three are the most popular and influential figures in Indonesia representing three institutions, namely political parties, regional heads, and ministries (Budiardjo, 2020; Honna, 2019). These three female political leaders have attracted the attention of the public and the media because they are considered to represent the hopes and anxieties of the nation in a period of transition (Crouch, 2021; Sulistiyanto, 2019). This book shows the important relationship between gender and power structures in democratic Indonesia, and the role of online media in regulating these power relationships (S. Ahlstrand, 2019; Sakai, 2021). This report presents new linguistic evidence in the form of a discourse strategy that reflects the dynamic relationship between women and power (Fairclough, 2015; Sakai, 2021). In the context of political transitions where power structures have historically been gendered, women occupying non-traditional positions of power can become iconic figures because of their striking differences from male political norms (Aspinall, 2019; Leeuwen, 2008). Although their presence in politics "creates a strong public image," this is a threat to the masculine status quo (Robinson, 2020; Sakai, 2021).This phenomenon has both historical and contemporary causes. Since independence, political discussion in Indonesia has often focused on individual politicians, rather than debating relevant policies or issues. Political opposition movements, the rise of populism, and political personalization in the era of democracy have also made charismatic political outsiders emerge as prominent icons, acting as an epitome of public belief. Populist leaders are usually defined as breakthrough makers who oppose entrenched elite groups, whose members are usually seen as enemies. Changes in the production and consumption habits of news media in the digital era play a role in shaping this political trend

    Get PDF
The Internal Control System is implemented in the organization as a prevention of fraud risk. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) already has an Internal Compliance Unit (hereinafter referred to as UKI) as the vanguard in internal control efforts. However, there are still cases of fraud and Hand-Arrest Operations at the DGT that have questioned the quality of UKI. This study aims to find the constraints experienced by UKI in carrying out internal control monitoring tasks as well as efforts that can be made to improve the quality of UKI. This research method is qualitative with a case study at the Yogyakarta Small Tax Office (STO). The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained directly from observations and interviews with informants in the field, while secondary data comes from documents, regulations, and data previously published to data users. The analysis technique was carried out by grouping data, coding, and then presenting a visualization of the results using NVivo 12 plus software. The results of the study found that the ways to improve the quality of UKI at STO are adhering to the Annual Monitoring Plan (RPT) guidelines, increasing the knowledge and soft skills of UKI staff, increasing the use of technology, segregating UKI duties and responsibilities

    Get PDF
This study has two objectives, namely compiling and analyzing vulnerability indexes of business unit, and analyzing key success variables for food and beverage industries after the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis tool used in this study is business vulnerability analysis. The vulnerability analysis is derived from the vulnerability index to the COVID-19 threat, which is collected from all aspect indicator values of MSMEs' vulnerability to the COVID-19 theeat. These values consist of exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. The results of the study explain that food and beverage MSMEs are categorized into medium vulnerability to the threat of COVID-19, where sensitivity is the highest influence aspect as a determinant of the vulnerability level. Due in part to the high number of MSMEs that are sensitive to the threat of COVID-19 and lack the ability to adjust, there may have been a fall in sales and bankruptcy of food and beverage MSMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic
