Maternal mortality rate (MMR) is an indicator of the assessment of maternal health programs and the degree of public health. The program launched by the government in an effort to reduce MMR was the Maternity Planning and Complications Prevention Program (P4K) which aimed to monitor pregnancies into safe and secure deliveries. In order to accomplish the importance of planning for delivery and preventing the complications, it is necessary to conduct research on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the compliance in implementing P4K. The purpose of the study was to analyze the correlation of knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the compliance of birth planning and complication prevention program (P4K). this research used a cross sectional design with an analytical survey. The research was conducted in Ringinpitu Village from March to October 2020. The population was pregnant women in Ringinpitu Village. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with the total sample of 26 people. The data collection used primary data. The instrument used a questionnaire. The data was processed by Spearmen rank test with correlation analysis. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the knowledge of pregnant women about P4K was in the fair category (42.3%). The attitude of pregnant women about P4K showed a positive attitude (65.4%). The compliance of pregnant women in implementing P4K was (38.5%). There was a correlation between knowledge of pregnant women and P4K compliance (p value = 0.0000) p <0.05 correlation coefficient r = 0.671 which meant there was a strong level of correlation and there was a correlation between the attitude of pregnant women and compliance to P4K (p value = 0.001) p < 0.05 correlation coefficient r = 0.604. Compliance with P4K will greatly help the government in reducing maternal mortality and infant mortality

Menstrual pain is a condition that bothers most women regardless of age, with the highest percentage being in their teens. Menstrual pain is categorized into mild, moderate, severe and very severe pain. Women who experience menstrual pain can interfere with their activities ranging from daily activities, school to work. One way to reduce menstrual pain non-pharmacologically is to use acupressure. This study aimed to determine the effect of acupressure on menstrual pain in adolescents. This was a literature Review with Systematic Mapping Study (Scoping Study) design. This study used journals published in the last 5 years. The ten journals used were obtained from the Google Schoolar, PubMed and Sciencedirect databases. The journals obtained had passed the selection based on the year of publication, the suitability of the title with keywords, the feasibility of the journal, the ability to access, duplication and inclusion criteria. The journal was then analyzed using the instrument of presenting the results of a literature review. The most widely used acupressure point was sanyinjiao (Sp 6) by pressing or massaging. The intensity of menstrual pain after being given acupressure was decreased, the average pain intensity decreased between before and after being given acupressure starting from a scale of 0.86 to 6.7. The results of the analysis of all journals show P value < a, which meant that there was a significant effect of giving acupressure on decreasing the intensity of menstrual pain in adolescents. Giving acupressure by pressing or massaging certain meridians can increase the levels of endorphins that are useful for reducing the intensity of menstrual pain in adolescents. Education about proper massage techniques will help reduce the level of pain that occurs during menstruation

Osteoporosis is defined as a decrease in bone mass and is characterized by an increased risk of fracture due to bone fragility. Prevention of low bone density can be done by optimizing the formation of bone mass at the time of growth, namely the age of 20-35 years. Research on osteoporosis in Jakarta in 2011 on subjects aged 20-25 years, stated that 6.3% had osteoporosis and 51.1% had osteopenia (pre-osteoporosis). The aim of the study was to identify the correlation of caffeine and soft drinks consumption toward bone mineral density status in women of childbearing age. This study was a quantitative analytic study, with a cross sectional research design. The sample was women of childbearing age who were in the work area of Tampan District as many as 399 people. The Chi-Square test showed the effect of caffeine consumption and soft drinks on the status of bone mineral density in women of childbearing age with a P value of 0.000 < Alpha 0.05 with a large OR of 24,330 (95% CI: 10,174- 58.182), meaning that respondents who consumed caffeine and soft drinks were 24 times more likely to suffer from osteoporosis. It is expected for women to avoid risk factors that can cause a decrease in bone mineral density and perform early detection of osteoporosis before the age of 30 years

    Get PDF
The problem of a decrease in knee joint extension makes it difficult for the elderly to carry out their daily activities. Static and dynamic stretching exercises can help to maintain joint range of motion and minimize muscle flexibility loss. The goal of this research was to identify if static and dynamic stretching had different effects on knee joint extension in the elderly. With a pre-experimental research design, this research used a two-group pre-test post-test design. The participants in this research were divided into two groups: static stretching and dynamic stretching, with each group consisting of 18 people recruited by the purposive selection technique. Before and after the intervention, a goniometer was utilized to evaluate knee joint extension. To investigate the difference in influence, the Independent T-Test statistical evaluation was utilized, demonstrating that static and dynamic stretching had different effects on knee joint extension in the elderly. Both of these treatments had the ability to influence joint extension. Static stretching relaxes the muscles, allowing them to stretch further by moving one leg alternately and retaining the maximal position. Dynamic stretching increases joint flexibility by moving both legs simultaneously and slowly. This static and dynamic stretching is necessary for the elderly to avoid a reduction in joint extension during daily activities

Elderly is a process of life's journey of getting old. Physiological changes in the cardiovascular system experienced by the elderly are hypertension which occurs due to decreased elasticity of the arteries in the aging process. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive elderly in Banjarejo Village. Pre-experimental research design with One group Pre-Post Test Design approach. The research sample is 30 elderly hypertension people with Quota Sampling. Research variables are progressive muscle relaxation therapy and blood pressure. Collecting data using observation sheets, using the Wilcoxon statistical test. The results showed that there were changes in blood pressure before and after therapy, namely systolic blood pressure -7.82 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure -5.54 mmHg. Wilcoxon statistical test showed p value = 0.000 which means there is a change in blood pressure in the elderly after doing progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The conclusion of this research shows that progressive muscle relaxation is a therapy that can be used to lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients
