Ecological Conditions And Economic Values Of Coral Reef Flats In Mattiro Deceng Village, Badi Island, Pangkajenne Kepulauan Regency, South Sulawesi
This research was carried out in Badi Island waters on Mattiro Deceng Village, Pangkajenne Kepulauan Regency, South Sulawesi. The aims of this study are to know the ecological conditions of the coral reef ecosystem at; and to calculate the economic value of coral reef ecosystems at the research area. To determine the ecological conditions of coral reefs, data were obtained by using the Transect Line Intercept (LIT) method which were used in 3 different locations including: inner reef, middle reef, and outer reef. All benthic biota passed through the transect were recorded based on their growth form. On the other hand, to obtain the total economic value, interviews were conducted within the community who were active in utilizing the coral reef ecosystem by using the purposive sampling method. The condition of the coral reef of Badi Island on inner reef area (48.62%) was considered in the medium category and for the middle reef area is 64.10% and the outer reef area is 50.01% were both considered in the good category. The total economic value of Badi Island's coral reef ecosystem in Mattiro Deceng Village is Rp. 10,567,286,000 / year, whereas for the direct benefit calculated value is Rp. 9,213,714,286 / year and for the value of indirect benefits is totaling Rp. 1,353,572,000/year.Keywords: Ecological Conditions, Economic Value, Coral ReefsABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan di Perairan Pulau Badi Desa Mattiro Deceng Kabupaten Pangkajenne Kepulauan, Sulawesi Selatan dengan tujuan untuk: 1. Mengetahui kondisi ekologi ekosistem terumbu karang pada lokasi penelitian. 2. Mengetahui nilai ekonomi ekosistem terumbu karang pada lokasi penelitian. Untuk menentukan kondisi ekologi terumbu karang akan di peroleh dengan menggunakan metode Line Intercept Transek (LIT) pada 3 lokasi berbeda yaitu inner reef, middle reef, dan outer reef, dimana setiap biota bentik yang dilewati transek akan dicatat menurut bentuk pertumbuhannya. Sedangkan untuk memperoleh nilai ekonomi total dilakukan wawancara kepada masyarakat yang beraktivitas di ekosistem terumbu karang dengan menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Kondisi terumbu karang Pulau Badi pada inner reef (48,62%) termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan pada middle reef ( 64,10%) dan outer reef (50,01%) termasuk dalam kategori baik. Nilai total ekonomi ekosistem terumbu karang Pulau Badi Desa Mattiro Deceng sebesar Rp. 10.567.286.000/tahun, dimana untuk nilai manfaat langsung sebesar Rp. 9.213.714.286/tahun untuk nilai manfaat tidak langsung sebesar Rp. 1.353.572.000/tahun.Kata Kunci : Kondisi Ekologi, Nilai Ekonomi, Terumbu Karan
Effectiveness of rearing Sandfish, Holothuria scabra and Seaweed, Gracilaria sp. with the Polyculture System
Sandfish (Holothurai scabra) and seaweed Gracilaria sp are marine commodities that have economic value and have good prospects in the market. These two commodities, if rearing together, will certainly provide added value to farmers. This research aims to determine the potential of sea cucumber polyculture, (H. scabra) and Gracilaria sp. which is maintained in culture. This research was conducted in April - May 2018 in the coastal of Rat village, Southeast Maluku Regency. Sea cucumbers are weighed and stocked on Pen-culture (measuring 4 x 3 meters) with a density of 40 individuals / Pen-culture. Gracilaria seeds are taken from young thallus which are tied into one clump and ditagging. After that, Gracilaria was weighed and spread in Pen-culture of 20 clump / Pen-culture. Observation of growth and survival of sandfish and Gracilaria sp done once a week. At the same time, predator control is carried out on pen-culture and water quality measurements. The results showed that sea cucumbers experienced absolute growth and survival rates of 18.20 g and 92.5% respectively. Gracilaria sp which is maintained does not experience growth, while the percentage of survival of Gracilaria sp is 20%. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that Polyculture of sandfish, H. scaba and seaweed, Gracilria sp is not effective if Gracilria sp is stocked on the basis of Pen-culture.Keyword : Sandfish, Gracilaria, PolycultureABSTRAKTeripang pasir (Holothurai scabra) dan rumput laut Gracilaria sp merupakan komuditi laut yang bernilai ekonomis dan mempunyai prospek yang baik dipasaran. Kedua komuditi ini, jika dipelihara bersama tentunya akan memberikan nilai tambah bagi pembudidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi polikultur teripang pasir, (H. scabra) dan Gracilaria sp. yang dipelihara pada pen-culture.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April – Mei 2018 di perairan desa Rat, Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara. Teripang pasir ditimbang dan ditebar pada Pen-culture berukuran 4 x 3 meter dengan kepadatan 40 individu/Pen-culture. Bibit Gracilaria diambil dari thallus muda yang diikat menjadi satu rumpun dan ditagging. Setelah itu, Gracilaria ditimbang dan ditebar pada Pen-culture sebanyak 20 rumpun/ Pen-culture.Pengamatan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup teripang pasir dan Gracilaria sp. dilakukan seminggu sekali. Pada waktu yang bersamaan, dilakukan juga pengontrolan predator pada Pen-culture dan pengukuran kualitas air. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa teripang mengalami rata-rata pertumbuhan mutlak dan kelangsungan hidup, masing-masing sebesar 18.20 g dan 92.5 %. Gracilaria sp yang dipelihara tidak mengalami pertumbuhan, sedangkan presentase kelangungan hidup Gracilaria sp sebesar 20 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Polikultur teripang pasir, H. scaba dan rumput laut, Gracilria sp tidak efektif jika Gracilria sp ditebar pada dasar Pen-culture. Kata kunci : Teripang pasir, Gracilaria, Polikultu
Metal Concentration In Water, Sediment, and Green Alga Halimeda opuntia (Linnaeus) J.V. Lamouroux from Totok Bay and Blongko Waters, North Sulawesi
Heavy metals in the water and sediment, in spite of low concentration, will not degrade and even can be absorbed and biologically accumulated by marine algae. This study was aimed to analyze the heavy metal concentrations in the seawater, sediment, and Halimeda opuntia in Totok Bay and Blongko waters. Samples were analyzed using APHA method and USEPA method in Water Laboratory Nusantara (WLN). Results showed that the heavy metal concentration in Totok Bay waters was <0.0001 ppm for Cadmium (Cd), <0.001 ppm for lead (Pb), <0.005 ppm for Zinc (Zn), and <0.00005 ppm for mercury (Hg), respectively, while Blongko waters had Cd concentration of <0.0001 ppm, Pb <0.001 ppm, Zn <0,005 ppm, Hg <0.00005 ppm. Heavy metal concentration in the sediment of Totok Bay was 4.71 ppm for Cd, 10.7 ppm for lead, 58 ppm for Zn, and 2.68 ppm for Hg, respectively, while in Blongko, the heavy metal concentration was 0,03 ppm for Cd, 0.4 ppm for Pb, <1 ppm for Zn, and <0.05 ppm for Hg, respectively. The heavy metal concentration in H. opuntia of Totok Bay was 0.18 ppm for Cd, 2.2 ppm for Pb, 5.10 ppm for Zn, 0.74 ppm for Hg, while H. opuntia of Blongko contained 0.02 ppm of Cd, 0.2 ppm of lead, <0.5 ppm of Zn, and 0.009 ppm of Hg, respectively.Keywords : Cadmium (Cd); Lead (Pb); Zink (Zn); Mercury (Hg); Halimeda opuntia; Totok Bay; Blongko waters.ABSTRAKLogam berat dalam perairan dan sedimen meskipun memiliki kadar yang relatif rendah namun tidak akan mengalami degradasi bahkan dapat diabsorbsi dan terakumulasi secara biologis oleh alga laut. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kandungan logam berat dalam air laut, sedimen dan Halimeda opuntia di perairan Teluk Totok dan Perairan Blongko. Analisis sampel mengacu metode APHA, (2012) dan USEPA, (2005) yang dianalisis di Water Laboratory Nusantara (WLN). Hasil analisis konsentrasi logam berat dalam air laut di perairan Teluk Totok yaitu kadmium (Cd) <0,0001 ppm, timbal (Pb) <0,001 ppm, seng (Zn) <0,005 ppm dan merkuri (Hg) <0,00005 ppm sedangkan dari perairan Blongko yaitu konsentrasi kadmium (Cd) <0,0001 ppm, timbal (Pb) <0,001 ppm, seng (Zn) <0,005 ppm dan merkuri (Hg) <0,00005 ppm. Konsentrasi logam berat pada sedimen di perairan Teluk Totok yaitu kadmium (Cd) 4,71 ppm, timbal (Pb) 10,7 ppm, seng (Zn) 58 ppm dan merkuri (Hg) 2,68 ppm dan perairan Blongko dengan konsentrasi kadmium (Cd) 0,03 ppm, timbal (Pb) 0,4 ppm, seng (Zn) <1 ppm dan merkuri (Hg) <0,05 ppm. Utilization of life feed Alona sp., Boiled Egg Yolk and Commercial Feed Toward Survival Rate of Betta Fish Larvae
The purpose of this study was to find out the survival rates of betta fish larvae (cupang) that were given life feed Alona sp., boiled egg yolk and commercial feed for 21 days. Data analysis was performed by one-way ANOVA, and continued with BNJ (Tukey) test. The result of the survival rate is as follow treatment with life feed Alona sp. 56%, treatment with boiled egg yolk 26%, and treatment with commercial feed 0%. The results of statistical tests show there are significant differences. Significant value p <.0002 (<.05). Water quality parameter measured during the study was temperature of 26 ºC.Keywords: betta fish larvae, life feed, Alona sp., survival rateABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan laju kelangsungan hidup larva ikan betta (cupang) yang dibeerikan pakan alami Alona sp., rebusan kuning telur dan pakan komersil selama 21 hari. Analisis data dilakukan dengan ANOVA one way, dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ (Tukey). Hasil laju kelangsungan hidup adalah sebagai berikut, perlakuan dengan pakan alami Alona sp. 56%, perlakuan dengan rebusan kuning telur 26%, dan perlakuan dengan pakan komersil 0%. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan adanya perbedaan yang nyata. Nilai signifikan p <.0002 (<.05). Parameter kualitas air yang diukur selama penelitian adalah suhu 26ºC.Keywords: larva ikan betta, pakan alami, Alona sp., kelangsungan hidu
Size Structure, Growth Pattern and Factors of the Condition of Baronang Fish (Siganus canaliculatus) from Ratatotok Waters, Ratatotok District, Southeast Minahasa Regency
The purpose of this study was to determine the size stucture, growth pattern, and relative conditions of rabbitfish (Siganus canaliculatus). Sampling was randomly done from the catches of fishermen in fesh condition. The number of fish samples taken for analysis was 61 individuals. Their fin color was yellowish or sometimes reddish purple. Measurements found that the fish samples had length range of 127 mm - 270 mm, and weight range of 21 and 249 g. Males had size range of 131-270 mm long with a body weight of 26-249 g and females had a body length of 127-249 mm, with a weight range of 21-191 g.Key words: Factor conditions, catches, fishermen, measurements. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur panjang, berat, pola pertumbuhan dan faktor kondisi relatif ikan Baronang (Siganus canaliculatus). Pengambilan sampel di lapangan dilakukan dengan metoda sampling yaitu dengan cara mengambil sampel ikan secara acak dari hasil tangkapan nelayan yang masih berada dalam kondisi segar. Jumlah sampel ikan yang diambil untuk dianalisis sebanyak 61 ekor. Hasil pengukuran secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa ikan memiliki kisaran panjang 127 mm - 270 mm, dan berat antara 21 dan 249 g. Jantan  memiliki kisaran panjang 131-270 mm dengan berat tubuh 26-249 g, dan betina memiliki panjang tubuh 127-249 mm, dengan berat tubuh 21-191 gram.Kata kunci: Faktor kondisi, hasil tangkapan, nelayan, pengukuran
Growth study of coi fish larvae fed chydoridae
First culture media for chydoridae used horse manure dried in the sun with a composition of 10 grams and 50 grams of soil dissolved in 1 L of water for 5 days, then filtered and diluted three times. Laboratory-scale cultures were carried out in a 500 ml volume jar containing horse manure culture media; then in the process fed with bread yeast and rice bran (0.05 gr yeast and rice bran/500 ml) every 3 days. Mass culture uses 12 jar containers with a volume of 3 L.The administration of chydoridae to two-day old koi fish larvae was carried out with the following treatments: treatment A, which was ornamental fish fed with boiled egg yolk in ad libitum; treatment B is ornamental fish fed with 5 individual chydoridae/ml and treatment C, which is not given any food with three replications. The design of the response in this study was to see the survival rate of ornamental fish larvae (%).The results of measurements of water quality during the study showed that the temperature during the study was 27°C, while the pH was 7. From the statistical analysis it was found that administration of chydoridae had a significant effect on the survival of two-day-old koi fish larvae which were kept for 14 days.Keywords: chydoridae, life feed, ornamental fish larvae, growthABSTRAKMedia kultur awal chydoridae menggunakan kotoran kuda yang dikeringkan di bawah sinar matahari dengan komposisi 10 gram kotoran kuda serta 50 gram tanah yang dilarutkan dalam 1 L air selama 5 hari, kemudian dilakukan penyaringan dan diencerkan sebanyak tiga kali. Kultur skala laboratorium dilakukan dalam wadah toples dengan volume 500 ml berisi media kultur kotoran kuda; selanjutnya dalam proses kultur chydoridae diberi makan ragi roti dan dedak (0,05 gr ragi dan dedak /500 ml) setiap 3 hari sekali. Kultur massal menggunakan wadah toples sebanyak 12 buah dengan volume 3 L dengan mengikuti metode pada kultur skala laboratorium.Pemberian chydoridae kepada larva ikan koi yang berumur dua hari dilakukan dengan beberapa perlakuan sebagai berikut : perlakuan A yaitu ikan hias diberi makan kuning telur rebus secara ad libitum; perlakuan B yaitu ikan hias diberi makan chydoridae 5 individu/ml dan perlakuan C yaitu ikan hias tidak diberi makan apapun dengan tiga ulangan. Rancangan respons dalam penelitian ini adalah melihat laju kelangsungan hidup larva ikan hias (%).Hasil pengukuran kualitas air selama penelitian menunjukkan, suhu selama penelitian adalah 27 °C, sedangkan pH adalah 7. Dari hasil analisis statistik diperoleh bahwa pemberian chydoridae sangat memberi pengaruh nyata kepada kelangsungan hidup larva ikan koi berumur dua hari yang dipelihara selama 14 hari.Kata kunci: chydoridae, pakan alami, larva ikan hias, pertumbuha
Biometric Analysis of Otolith (Sagitta) for the Stock Separation of Skipjack Tuna Katsuwonus pelamis (Linnaeus, 1758) Landed at Tumumpa Coastal Fisheries Port Manado, North Sulawesi
Skipjack tuna, Katsuwonus pelamis (Linnaeus, 1758) is one of the most important species for Indonesian marine capture fisheries and is the third major species of capture fisheries in the world. This study aims to analyze the biometry of otolith (sagitta) of skipjack tuna caught with ‘soma pajeko’ (mini purse-seine) around FADs in the Sulawesi Sea. A total of 96 individuals of skipjack tuna measuring total length (TL) ranged between 232 and 625 mm and the average of TL was 419.64 mm (SD = 112.78 mm) were successfully taken otolith without defects. The length of otolith (OL) of the skipjack tuna ranged between 2.693 and 5.269 mm with an average of OL was 3.435 mm (SD = 0.602 mm). For both the size and shape indices of the otolith, there were no significant difference between the left and right otoliths for otolith length (OL), otolith perimeter (OP), Form-Factor (FF) and Roundness (Rnd), but asymmetric influences were very significance for otolith width (OW), otolith area (OA), Circularity (Cir), Rectangularity (Rec), Ellipticity (Ell) and Aspect Ratio (AR). There were no significant difference in the mean size and shape indices of the otolith between females and males. The relationship between TL - OL follows the power function: OL = 1.027993 * TL0.198863 (R2 = 13.18%). The low value of R2 seems to be due to the mixing of more than one stock of skipjack tuna in the sample. Separation of observation data in the relationship between TL - OL into two different stocks can increase the value of b or R2. It is possible for skipjack tuna in the Sulawesi Sea to consist of two different stocks. The separation of the two stocks can mainly be determined by the size of the otolith, the size of the otolith of stock 1 is relatively large compared to stock 2. The relationship of ln (TL) - ln (OL) stock 1 and stock 2 were ln (OL) = -2,282 + 0,610 * ln (TL) (n = 53; r = 0.91) and ln (OL) = -2,363 + 0.566 * ln (TL) (n = 43; r = 0.64). It is possible that stock 1 is the stock of the Indian Ocean and stock 2 is the stock of the Western Pacific Ocean. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis biometri otolit (sagitta) ikan cakalang yang tertangkap dengan ‘soma pajeko’ (mini purse-seine) di sekitar rumpon di Laut Sulawesi. Sejumlah 96 individu ikan cakalang berukuran panjang total (TL) 232 - 625 mm dan rata-rata TL 419,64 mm (SD = 112,78 mm) berhasil diambil otolitnya tanpa cacat. Otolit (kiri) ikan cakalang tersebut berukuran panjang (OL) 2,693 - 5,269 mm dengan rata-rata OL 3,435 mm (SD = 0,602 mm). Baik untuk ukuran maupun indeks bentuk otolit, tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara otolit kiri dan kanan untuk panjang otolit (OL), keliling otolit (OP), Form-Factor (FF) dan Roundness (Rnd), tetapi pengaruh asimetris untuk lebar otolit (OW), luas otolit (OA), Circularity (Cir), Rectangularity (Rec), Ellipticity (Ell) dan Aspect Ratio (AR) sangat nyata. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata rata-rata ukuran maupun indeks bentuk otolit antara betina dan jantan. Hubungan TL - OL mengikuti fungsi perpangkatan: OL = 1,027993*TL0,198863 (R2 = 13,18%). Rendahnya nilai R2 ini nampaknya disebabkan karena bercampurnya lebih dari satu stok ikan cakalang dalam sampel. Pemisahan data amatan dalam hubungan TL – OL menjadi dua stok yang berbeda dapat menaikkan nilai b maupun R2. Ikan cakalang yang terdapat di Laut Sulawesi ada kemungkinan terdiri dari dua stok yang berbeda. Pemisahan kedua stok tersebut terutama dapat ditentukan lewat ukuran otolitnya, stok 1 berukuran otolit relatif besar dibandingkan dengan stok 2. Hubungan ln(TL) – ln(OL) stok 1 dan stok 2 berturut-turut adalah ln(OL) = -2,282 + 0,610*ln(TL) (n = 53; r = 0,91) dan ln(OL) = -2,363 + 0,566*ln(TL) (n = 43; r = 0,64). Ada kemungkinan stok 1 merupakan stok Samudra Hindia dan stok 2 merupakan stok Samudra Pasifik Barat. Study on Public Facilities Zone Development Strategy asTourism Support in Manado Bay
Four urban villages in the administrative area of Tuminting District, i.e. Sindulang Satu, Sindulang Dua, Bitung Karangria and Maasing based on North Sulawesi Provincial Regulation Number 1 of 2017 concerning Coastal Zone Zoning Plans and Small Islands (RZWP-3-K) of Prov. North Sulawesi 2017-2037, will be used as a location to establish tourism supporting infrastructures. The purpose of this study is to determine the key factors for the success of the strategy for public facilities zone construction in Manado Bay, by taking into account the environmental, economic and social aspects. The study was conducted from September 2018 to March 2019. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviewing techniques to 15 key people selected based on pentahelix. Data analysis employed SWOT and Strategic Analysis and Choice (SAC) to determine the alternative strategy. The results found six priority strategies as follows: (1) synchronizing the regulations for Coastal Zone spatial planning, (2) evaluating the coastal spatial planning regulations with regional development planning documents, (3) conducting socialization for coastal communities, (4) increasing the prosperity through small-scaled fishermen empowerment ( 5) developing 3A (increase, accessibility, and amenity) to support the tourism by increasing tourists’ visit, and (6) Improving the quality of human resources.Key words: RZWP-3-K, Public Facilities Zone, Pentahelix, SWOT. ABSTRAKEmpat kelurahan yang masuk dalam wilayah administrasi Kecamatan Tuminting yaitu: Sindulang Satu, Sindulang Dua, Bitung Karangria, dan Maasing berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Sulawesi Utara Nomor 1 Tahun 2017 tentang Rencana Zonasi Wilayah Pesisir dan Pulau-pulau Kecil (RZWP-3-K) Prov. Sulut Tahun 2017-2037, akan dimanfaatkan sebagai lokasi pembangunan infrastruktur penunjang pariwisata. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan faktor-faktor kunci keberhasilan sebagai strategi prioritas untuk pembangunan zona fasilitas umum penunjang pariwisata di Teluk Manado, dengan memperhatikan aspek lingkungan, aspek ekonomi dan aspek sosial. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan September 2018 sampai Maret 2019. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara secara mendalam (in depth interview) kepada 15 key persons dipilih berdasarkan pentahelix. Metode analisis data untuk menentukan strategi alternatif dengan menggunakan SWOT dan Strategic Analysis and Choice (SAC). Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada enam strategi prioritas yaitu: (1) melakukan sinkronisasi peraturan perundang-undangan bidang penataan ruang daerah pesisir, (2) melakukan sinkronisasi peraturan penataan ruang daerah pesisir dengan dokumen perencanaan pembangunan daerah, (3) melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat pesisir, (4) meningkatan kesejahteraan melalui pemberdayaan nelayan kecil, (5) meningkatkan 3A (atraksi, aksesibilitas, dan amenitas) sebagai penunjang pariwisata untuk meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan, (6) peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia.      Kata Kunci: RZWP-3-K, Zona Fasilitas Umum, Pentahelix, SWOT
The Use Of Marine Sponge Crude Extract To Improve The Resistance Of Tilapia Fish (Oreochromis niloticus) To Streptococcus agalactiae Infections
This study aims to examine the effect of the use of crude marine sponge extract on the resistance of streptococcus agalactiae infection in tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus, and to establish the effective dose of crude sponge extract in improving the immune system and the growth of the fish. The sponge used in the study was Cribrochalina sp. taken from Malalayang waters, Manado. The fish were taken from Freshwater Aquaculture Center, Tatelu. The fish were acclimatized for a week. After being acclimatized the fish were given feed added with sponge crude extract as a treatment with different concentrations of 20 g, 40 g and 60 g / Kg of feed for 14 days as much as 5% / body weight / day with the frequency of feeding twice a day at 10:00 am and at 5:00 p.m. After being treated, the fish was challenged with S. agalactiae. The data collected consisted of tilapia resistance, Total Leukocyte Count (TLC) as immune parameters and absolute growth. The results showed that the addition of crude extracts of Cribrochalina sp. into feed can increase TLC and growth of tilapia (p <0.05). The best results were achieved in fish fed with the addition of sponge crude extract of 40 g/kg feed. The survival rate of tilapia fed with treatment diet then challenged with pathogenic bacteria S. agalactiae showed the best results (100% survival rate) compared to controls (75%). In conclusion, feeding with a crude extract of Cribrochalina sp. has the potential to increase the immune system and growth of tilapia.Keywords: Crude Extract, Marine Sponges, Cribrochalina sp., Tilapia, Resistance, Streptococcus agalactiaeABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan ekstrak kasar spons laut terhadap resistensi ikan nila dalam menghadapi serangan Streptococcus agalactiae, mengidentifikasi spons yang digunakan, serta mengukur pengaruh serta menetapkan dosis pemberian ekstrak kasar spons untuk meningkatkan sistem imun dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan ikan nila. Spons yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah spons Cribrochalina sp. yang diambil dari perairan Malalayang. Ikan uji diambil dari Balai Budidaya Air Tawar Tatelu, Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Ikan diaklimatisasi selama seminggu. Setelah diaklimatisasi ikan diberi pakan yang ditambahkan dengan ekstrak kasar spons sebagai perlakuan dengan konsentrasi berbeda yaitu 0 g, 20 g, 40 g dan 60 g/kg pakan selama 14 hari sebanyak 5%/berat tubuh/hari dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan dua kali sehari yaitu jam 10.00 pagi dan jam 17.00 sore. Setelah diberi perlakuan, ikan diuji tantang dengan bakteri S. agalactiae. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari kelangsunganhidup ikan nila. Total leukosit sebagai parameter imun dan pertumbuhan mutlak. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak kasar spons Cribrochalina sp. ke dalam pakan mampu meningkatkan total leukosit dan pertumbuhan ikan nila (p<0.05). Dimana hasil terbaik dicapai pada ikan yang diberi pakan dengan penambahan ekstrak kasar spons sebanyak 40 g/kg pakan. Kelangsungan hidup ikan nila yang diberi pakan perlakuan yang diuji tantang dengan bakteri patogen menunjukkan hasil yang paling baik (tingkat kelangsungan hidup 100%) dibandingkan dengan kontrol (75%). Sebagai kesimpulan bahwa pemberian pakan dengan ekstrak kasar spons Cribrochalina sp. berpotensi untuk meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh dan pertumbuhan pada ikan nila.Kata Kunci: Ekstrak kasar, Spons laut, Cribrochalina sp., Tilapia, Resistensi, Streptococcus agalactia
The Inventory and Composition Studies of Seagrass in Ratatotok Waters, District of Ratatotok, Southeast Minahasa Regency
This research was carried out in the coastal waters of Ratatotok Village with the purpose of: 1. Knowing the condition of aquatic environment at research location. 2. Identify seagrass species from Ratatotok waters. 3. To determine the composition of seagrass species which included: Species Density, Relative Density, Abundance, Relative Abundance, Domination, Relative Domination, Frequency, Relative Frequency and Important Values. 7 species from of 2 families were found in this research i.e. Cymodoceaceae (Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Syringodium isoetifolium, and Halodule uninervis) and Hydrocharitaceae (Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis and Thalassia hemprichii). The number of seagrass stands in the research were ranged from 26-2699 individuals. Species density were found to range from to 9.51 to 987.06 / m². Relative density were varied from 0.72 to 75.08%. Frequency of occurence were also varied from to 0.69 to 8.46. Relative frequency were ranged from to 2,68-33.04%. Abundance were found to range from to 10.08-1046.88. Relative abundance were varied from 0.72-75.08%. The dominance were range from to 28.89-2998.89 and relative dominance from to 0.72-75.08%. The important value of seagrass in the Ratatotok waters showed that Syringodium isoetifolium had important value reaching to 183.20 %. important values of Cymodocea rotundata and Thalassia hemprichii were 41.93 % and 26.68 % respectively .In addition, these two species were consisted of relatively large individual size compared to other species.Keywords : Ratatotok, Seagrass, Important ValuesABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan di Perairan Pantai Desa Ratatotok dengan tujuan untuk: 1. Mengetahui kondisi lingkungan perairan pada lokasi penelitian. 2. Mengidentifikasi spesies lamun di Desa Ratatotok. 3. Mengetahui komposisi spesies lamun yang meliputi: Kepadatan Spesies, Kepadatan Relatif, Kelimpahan, Kelimpahan Relatif, Dominasi, Dominasi Relatif, Frekuensi, Frekuensi Relatif dan Nilai Penting. Spesies lamun yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian berjumlah 7 spesies dari 2 family: Cymodoceaceae (Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Syringodium isoetifolium, dan Halodule uninervis) dan Hydrocharitaceae (Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis dan Thalassia hemprichii). Jumlah tegakan spesies lamun di lokasi penelitian berkisar antara 26-2699 individu, kepadatan spesies 9,51-987,06/m², kepadatan relatif 0,72-75,08 %, frekuensi kehadiran 0,69-8,46, frekuensi relatif 2,68-33,04 %, kelimpahan 10,08-1046,88, kelimpahan relatif 0,72-75,08 %, dominasi 28,89-2998,89 dan dominasi relatif 0,72-75,08 %. Nilai penting lamun di perairan Desa Ratatotok menunjukkan bahwa jenis Syringodium isoetifolium memiliki nilai penting yang mencapai 183,20 %. Untuk jenis Cymodocea rotundata dan jenis Thalassia hemprichii masing-masing memiliki nilai penting yakni 41,93 % dan 26,68 %. Selain itu jumlah indvidu kedua spesies ini banyak ditemui disertai dengan ukuran individu yang relatif besar dibandingkan spesies lainnya.Kata Kunci : Ratatotok, Lamun, Nilai Pentin
