FORMULASI SEDIAAN GEL ANTISEPTIK TANGAN DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI DARI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN PANDAN WANGI (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.)
This reseach was conducted to determine the antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Eschericia coli from pandanus fragrant ethanol extract formulated in the form of hand gel antiseptic preparations. The ethanol extract was prepared by percolation using 96% ethanol solvent. Phytochemical screening is done on fragrant pandan leaves. Evaluation of hand antiseptic gel preparations included organoleptic testing, homogeneity testing, pH determination, spreading test, stability, irritation testing and antibacterial testing of Staphylococcus aureus and Eschericia coli. The results of phytochemical screening showed that the pandanus fragrant leaves contain alkaloids, tannins, saponins, flavonoids and polyphenols. The pandanus fragrant leaves ethanol extract can be formulated into hand gel antiseptic preparations because the pH is about 6.0-7.1, the spreading power is about 5.06-5.15 cm, stable for 12 weeks and organoleptically a formula with a very 2.5% concentration Favored and does not irritate the skin. The results of antibacterial activity test showed that the preparation with concentration of 10% had the strongest activity with the diameter of 13,23 mm to Staphylococcus aureus and 13,13% to Eschericia coli almost same with dettol stock on the market with diameter 16,43mm to Staphylococcus aureus and 16 , 03% against Eschericia coli
INVENTARISASI TUMBUHAN BAWAH DI KAWASAN HUTAN TAMAN WISATA ALAM SIBOLANGIT, KABUPATEN DELI SERDANG
Underwater plants are plants in the form of herbaceous plants and shrubs and low plants that cover the bottom of a forest area. Thus the function of the plant here is to withstand the destructive power of the falling rain fall and the rapid flow of water above the soil surface. Sibolangit Nature Park is a forest area with an area of ± 24.85 Ha. The existence of the lower plants in Sibolangit Nature Park become the main attraction for the visitors. The purpose of the research is to obtain the inventory data of the lower plants and describe the characters morphology. The research was conducted by using the exploration method along the path of Sibolangit Nature Park. From the research that has been done, there are 48 types of plants that consist of 31 families. PEMERIKSAAN KUALITAS AIR SUNGAI SEI KERA MEDAN DENGAN METODE SPEKTROPHOTOMETRI
Sei Kera river which is located in the district of Medan Perjuangan, Medan, North Sumatra accross the settlements with 10 villages namely Tegal Rejo, Sidorame West I, Waterquality status,Water quality standard, Storet method.Sidorame West II, Sidorame EastI, Sidorame East II, Sei Kera Hilir I, Sei Kera Hilir II, Sei Kera Hulu, Heroes and Pandau Hulu which is occupied 93.328 people. This study uses quantitative analysis is the quality of water in Sei Kerariver from the result of water quality parameters include parameters TotalofSuspended Solidsd (TSS), Chrome 6+, Chlorine, Nitrite, Fluoride, Phosphate, Sulfates, Sulfides, Nitrates, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Detergents are made in 2 (two) points using purposive sampling method, the area of the river downstream at bridge on Mabar Street (point 1)and upstream bridge Cemara Street (point 2). Sampling is done within 3 (three) perod, and the data which has got is analyzed by spectrophotometry Method with approach criteria quality of water based on PP. 82 of 2001 on the Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control, the result is Sei Kera river from point 1 to point 2 can only meet Water Quality Standard Class III that the allocation can be used for fresh water cultivation for fish, animal husbandry, water to irrigate landscaping, and other uses that quality of water similar requirements to these purpioses
ANALISIS KANDUNGAN LOGAM Pb, Cu, Cd DAN Zn PADA SAYURAN SAWI, KANGKUNG DAN BAYAM DI AREAL PERTANIAN DAN INDUSTRI DESA PAYA RUMPUT TITIPAPAN MEDAN
The levels of Pb, Cu, Cd and Zn in sawi (Barsssica rapa), ground kuna (Ipomea reptans), and spinach (Amaranthus tricolor) in the area of Paya Rumput Titipapan Medan village have been done. The goal is to know the levels of these metals in vegetables grown in the agricultural area of Paya Rumput Titipapan Village. Samples taken randomly in wash drained and weighed. Wet weight then dried at a temperature of 50-100o C for 3 hours, After dry on weigh in gerus until smooth. The sample was destructed with concentrated nitric acid with temperature 80o C, the sample was analyzed by using atomic absorption spectrophotometric (AAS). The results showed the highest levels of lead found in spinach is 6 mg / kg. Levels of cadmium in kale and spinach is 3 mg / kg. While the Cu content on the analysis results are still within the maximum limit. The concentration of Pb, Cd, Zn in each sample exceeds the maximum allowed by the Decree of Dit Jend POM No 03725 / B / SKVII / 89 and SNI 7387: 2009
HUBUNGAN KADAR TARTRAZIN DAN SENG (ZN) DALAM DARAH PADA ANAK PENDERITA DEFISIT PERHATIAN DAN GANGGUAN HIPERAKTIVITAS (ADHD)
This research aims to study Tartrazine and Zinc (Zn) status in blood sample of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) children. Deductive research using the descriptive method through 3 stage, namely : 1. Taken of blood sample, 2. Analysis of Tartrazine status in blood sample was performed by using High Performance Liquid Chromatograpy (HPLC) method, and 3. Analysis of Zinc (Zn) status in blood sample were measurements by using Atomic Adsorbance Spectrophotometry (AAS) method. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and Chi Square tests (X2) by Computer programs (SPSS 15). The result of the assessment of Tartrazine status in blood sample of ADHD children that had been was considered statistically highly significant a increase of the assessment of Tartrazine status in blood sample of ADHD children by 130 mg/ml compared with laboratory reference (control) by 28 mg/ml, HA>C** (p<0,001). The result of the assessment of Zinc (Zn) status in blood sample of ADHD children that had been was showed statistically highly significant a reduce of the assessment of Zinc (Zn) status in blood sample of ADHD children by 0,37 µg/ml compared with laboratory reference (control) by 0,64-1,18 µg/ml, HA<C** (p<0,001). This was considered a reduction and increase in Tartrazine and Zinc (Zn) concentrations induces of the Hyperactivity children by 95%
UJI BEBERAPA VARIETAS DAN PEMBERIAN PUPUK BIOBOST TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascolonicum L.)
This research aims was to know Test of Some Varieties and Provision of Bioboost Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Red Onion (Allium ascolonicum L.). The design used in this research is Randomized Block Design, with 2 factors is: Factor Test Some varieties symbolized with (V) consists of 3 levels: V1 = Local Variety, V2 = Varieties of Brebes, V3 = Philippine Varieties. The Bioboost Fertilization Factor is symbolized by (B), is: B0 = 0 cc / Liter water, B1 = 3.5 cc / Liter water, B2 = 5cc / Liter water, B3 = 10 cc / Liter water. The result of analysis of variance that effect of some varieties treatment showed real effect at plant height 7 mst. While the influence is not real in the observation on the observation of plant height aged 3.5 and 9 mst. Number of tillers 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst. Tuber weight per sample and weight of tuber per plot. Treatment of Bioboost fertilizer showed real effect on observation weight of tuber per plot. While the effect was not significant on the observation of plant height aged 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst, the number of tillers aged 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst and tuber weight per sample. analysis of variance that due to the treatment of several varieties and fertilizer Bioboost showed a real effect on observation of height of plant age 7 and 9 mst. While the effect was not significant on observation of height parameters of plant age 3 and 5 mst, number of tillers age 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst, tuber weight per sample and weight of tuber per plot
PENGARUH KITOSAN TERHADAP SITOLOGI GINJAL TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus sp.) JANTAN YANG DIPAPARI PLUMBUM ASETAT
The study aimed to determine the effect of chitosan on  the kidney of rats (Rattus sp.) exposed to lead acetate. Thirty five male animals weighing 250g were divided into 7 groups:  K group as a control (without treatment), P1 received  Pb (40 mg/kg bw as lead acetate),  while P2, P3, and P4, all received Pb (40 mg/kg bw) and chitosan (0,5%, 0,75%, and 1% respectively). P5 group received only chitosan (1%) and P6 group received acetic acid. After 7 weeks of treatment, the animals were sacrificed and the kidneys were isolated. Kidney damage was observed with microscopis. Result showed, treatment of Pb (40 mg/kg bw) in male rats caused demage microscopis. Chitosan able to decrease kidney damage resulted from Pb treatment. In conclusion, chotosan has the ability to reduce residue of Pb as well as microstructure damage of rat kidney exposed to Pb
HUBUNGAN INDEKS MASA TUBUH (IMT) TERHADAP KADAR HEMOGLOBIN PADA PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS PARU DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM SULTAN SULAIMAN KABUPATEN SERDANG BEDAGAI
Tuberculosis (TB) is a respiratory disease that received special attention in the community. According to WHO more than 2 million people, one third of the total population in the world is infected by tuberculosis. Tuberculosis patients with malnutrition status have lower haemoglobin levels compared to patients with good nutritional status. The purpose of this reseach is to determine the relationship of body mass index (BMI) to the haemoglobin of patients pulmonary tuberculosis at the General Hospital Sultan Sulaiman Serdang Bedagai. This study was conducted descriptive of examination BMI and levels of haemoglobin in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the General Hospital Sultan Sulaiman Serdang Bedagai North Sumatra Province is to create the relationship between baseline BMI and BMI end after the OAT, as well as haemoglobin beginning and haemoglobin end after the OAT. The results showed that there was a weak correlation between baseline BMI of the initial haemoglobin levels with a value of r = 0.20. While the relationship between BMI end of the final haemoglobin levels after administration of OAT for 2 months there was a strong relationship r = 0.83
Gambaran Penyakit Demam Berdasarkan Umur dan Jenis Kelamin Pasien Rumah Sakit Haji Medan
The purpose of this research was to determine whether there is a relationship of senile cataract with blood sugar levels for people with diabetes who checked in BKIM (Balai Kesehatan Indera Masyarakat) Medan. Research was done through two stages, blood sampling and examination of blood glucose levels and data analysis. The patient's blood is taken at any time from the patient's fingertip. Data were analyzed calculated the correlation relationship where the cataract as the parameters x and y are the blood sugar levels. Correlation calculation results indicate the number r = 0:46, which means there is less close relationship between cataracts and blood sugar levels but percentages show increased in the percent of patients with both cataracts relation to blood sugar levels as well as cataracts with age. From a study of 60 patients aged 45-65 years who suffer from cataracts are less significant association between cataract with blood sugar levels
Pendugaan Populasi Penyu Hijau (Chelonia Mydas) di Pulau Jemur Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Riau
Research on the estimation of green turtle population (Chelonia mydas) was conducted in Jemur Island of Rokan Hilir Regency of Riau Province in May-June 2012. The purpose of this research is to estimate the green turtle population in Jemur Island Rokan Hilir regency, Riau Province. The research method used is the absolute method of absolute sampling that results in the number of population estimates in the form of the number of individuals per unit of sand surface units or habitats observed. The results showed that the number of different individuals as many as 229 nests. The condition of Jemur Island indicates the suitability of location for green turtle habitat to lay and incubate eggs. Physical factors corresponding to the distribution of saraang are said to be productive, ie the average number of nests per day of 8 (eight) nests or 8 (eight) different individuals. Of the 229 nests observed, the depth of the hive ranged from 60cm - 80cm and did not significantly affect the number of eggs placed with the results of correlation (r = 0.43)
