GAMBARAN KARAKTERISTIK SAFETY LEADERSHIP PT. RND DI JAKARTA-SURABAYA TAHUN 2012
This reseach will describe and explain the overall the characteristics of safety leadership in PT. RND, Jakarta-Surabaya in 2012 with in-depth interviews and direct observation for the leaders in PT. RND conducted in April-June 2012. Implementation of safety given by the supervisor 3, although the decision-making for implementation of safety continue through the director. Disengagement supervisor and team leader of safety programs in the field resulted in the implementation of safety systems are not effective in PT. RND. The leaders in PT. RND do not have the perspective of safety which is reflected in their personality, leadership style and best practices in leading employees to implement safety effectively. The results of this research obtained personality, which is owned by the leaders of PT. RND is still not optimal on the characteristics of emotional resilience. Transformational leadership style has been used by some leaders of PT. RND in leading employees but not yet used by directors and supervisors 3. Best practices characteristic held by the leaders of PT. RND are not optimal in the vision and communication. Characteristic of safety leadership in PT. RND is not optimal as an unstable emotional resilience. The leaders in PT. RND does not have a clear plan in the execution of the work, the difference in the vision and the communication path that overlaps giving an obstacle to the leaders of PT. RND in leading the workers
STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS MAKROZOOBENTOS DI KAWASAN REHABILITASI MANGROVE DAN MANGROVE ALAMI DI KAMPUNG NIPAH KABUPATEN SERDANG BEDAGAI SUMATERA UTARA
Research on the community structure of macrozoobenthos in the area of mangrove rehabilitation and mangrove naturally in Kampung Nipah Bedagai Serdang, North Sumatra was aim to determined the community structure of macrozoobenthos with the inventory and identification of the types of macrozoobenthos at the sites. The method used in this research is descriptive method by determining and manufacture of sampling points with purposive sampling method. The results showed that macrozoobenthos were found grouped in three classes of Bivalves, Gastropods, and Polychaeta with the total number of individuals as much as 775 individuals. Group class that has the number of families and the highest number of species are Gastropods (19 families and 29 species), followed by Bivalves (6 families and 13 species). Polychaeta only has one family and one spesies. Diversity index (H ') of the study sites showed a value of 2.37 with the medium category. Value uniformity among the sites is 0,63 which means that the distribution of individuals of each type tends to evenly at each station and observation points
KONTAMINASI BAHAN PLASTIK PADA JAJANAN PASAR (GORENGAN) YANG BEREDAR DI KOTA MEDAN
This reseach aims to know the contamination of plastic materials that exist in market snacks (fried banana, fried tempe, fried tofu and bakwan goreng) that circulated in Medan City. This research uses the method of "Qualitative Description" that is by checking the plastic content in market snacks (gorengan) circulating in Medan City. The results of this study contained 12 positive samples contaminated with plastic materials and 48 samples were not contaminated with plastic materials. Plastic contaminated samples are tested by burning, if positive samples containing plastics will burn and a large flame is visible, black droplets and smell of burning plastic
KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS MAKROZOOBENTOS DIMUARA SUNGAI NIPAH KECAMATAN PERBAUNGAN KABUPATEN SERDANG BEDAGAI SUMATERA UTARA
This research was conducted to determine the species diversity of macrozoobenthos and determine the condition of physical and chemical factors in the waters of estuary river in Nipah Village Perbaungan District Serdang Bedagai Sumatera Utara. The result of diversity of macrozoobenthos obtained 28 species with one phylum, 2 class, 7 orders, 18 families and 20 genera. Measurement of physical and chemical factors waters obtained an average pH 7 both ebb and tide conditions; in conditions of salinity waters receded an average of 0 and at high tide the average of 5; the ebb and tide conditions an average temperature of 27-30°C; Average current speed 10,5-19,1 cm/s; Brightness average water 14-16,3cm; and an average depth of 40,3-150cm. Values obtained by the abundance of species which are 3378-5322 ind/m2. Macrozoobenthos types that dominate the river mouth Nipah are gastropods. Values Diversity Index (H ') macrozoobenthos of 2.152 to 2.762 were classified into well water. Uniformity index (E) showed a value of 0.397 to 0.532 (deployment is not uniform or uneven). Value Dominance Index (C) showed a value of 0.074 to 0.170 (the dominance of low or no kind dominance). In general, relatively good water conditions and suitable for life macrozoobenthos
PEMANFAATAN CENDAWAN Beauveria bassiana(BALS.) VUILL. SEBAGAI MIKO-INSEKTISIDA TERHADAP KUTU LONCAT JERUK Diaphorina citri KUW. (HEMIPTERA: LIVIIDAE)
Asiatic citrus psyllid Diaphorina citri Kuwayama has been considered as one of important citrus pests and a vector of a serious citrus disease as well, greening disease or known as Huanglongbing (HLB). Among entomophatogenic fungi which can be used to control those pest insects isBeauveria bassiana.The objective of this study was to measure the infectivity ofB. bassianaagainst adult of D. citri.B. bassianaconidia that used were 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, and 108conidia/ml.The experiment was repeated three times and arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD). Mean was analized by Duncan's multiple range test correction at the level α=0.05. B. bassianacaused mortality of D. citriat rate of 10%, 15%, 18.33%, 26.67%, 33.33% and 53.33% respectively. The result showed that LC50 of B. bassianawas 1.52 x 108conidia/ml
FITOREMEDIASI LOGAM MERKURI (Hg) PADA MEDIA AIR OLEH KANGKUNG AIR (Ipomoea aquatica Forsk.)
This study aims to determine the ability of watercress plants in absorbing mercury (Hg). Mercury is one type of heavy metals dangerous and toxic (Hakim, 2003). If the amount in the water has crossed the threshold will cause pollution. For that required effort to minimize the levels of Hg metal before the waste into the waters, such as by using watercress plants as phytoremediation agent. Research was conducted experimentally. The purpose of this study is to know the ability of watercress in accumulating mercury in water media.Phytoremediation media in the form of HgNO3 solution with concentration 0,5 and 1 ppm and addition of NPK 1 gram in insert plastic container as much as 1 liter. Measurements of Hg concentration in plants were performed on day 5, 10, 15 using SSA. The resulting data is processed using qualitative method of descriptive. The result showed that there was no accumulation of mercury in watercress concentration of 0,5 and 1 ppm during exposure 5, 10, 15 days, and concentration 5 ppm during exposure 5 and 10 days, but accumulated at concentration 5 ppm for 15 days exposure that is equal to 0,116 ppm, therefore watercress is still safe from mercury at low concentration of 0,5 and 1 ppm, but dangerous at concentration of 5 ppm
INVENTARISASI JENIS UDANG DI PERAIRAN KAMPUNG NIPAH KECAMATAN PERBAUNGAN KABUPATEN SERDANG BEDAGAI SUMATERA UTARA
Research on Inventory type of shrimp in the waters of Kampung Nipah Perbaungan Bedagai Serdang District of North Sumatra, aims to determine the types of shrimp. The method used in this research is descriptive by surveying the catch. Data collection was performed by a sample of shrimp fisherman catch sea and river waters Nipah home twon village it selp Nipah arrest shrimp sample. Results of research on the waters of the River and Sea waters found 13 species belonging to four families. The families that most species are Panaeidae, while families Squillidae has one endemic species in the waters of the Sea. The families that most species Palaemoidae, while families Atydae has one endemic species in the waters of the river
SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SANGITAN (Sambucus javanica Reinw) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI Eschericia coli DAN Salmonella thypi
Leaves of sangitan (Sambucus javanica Reinw) are often found but noticed. The leaf part of the sangitan plant is used to treat swelling, insecticides, antidiarrheal, antiinfectives, wounds, smoothing the skin as it contains flavonoid chemical compounds, glycosides, anthracton glycosides, saponins, steroids / triterpenoids and tannins. Screening results of ethanol extract of sour leaves (SambucusjavanicaReinw) contain alkaloid compounds, flavonoids, glikosida, antrakinon glycosides, saponins, steroids / triterpenoids and tannins. The extraction of sangitan leaves was done by maceration using 96% ethanol. Examination of antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of sangitan leaves was done in vitro by diffusion method of wells with concentrations of 500, 400, 300, 200 and 100 mg / ml. This study used cotrimosazole as a comparator and 96% ethanol as a negative control. The extract of ethanol leaves sangitan showed anti bacterial activity against bacteria Eschericia coli and Salmonella thypi at concentration 500 mg / ml respectively 16,11 mm and 17,04 mm which is classified strong but when compared with antibiotic cotrimosazole 10 mg / ml visible diameter of inhibit ethanol extract Leaves sangitan still much lower that is 30,35 mm in bacterium Eschericia coli and 33,15 mm in Salmonella thypi bacteria whereas ethanol extract do not show inhibitory power
INVENTARISASI NEPENTHES DI TAPANULI SELATAN
Research that has been done in 8 districts in South Tapanuli Regency, found 13 types of where 1 of them are natural hybrid. Location Selection is done by the survey method, while sampling in the field using the exploration method. The district has the highest diversity of species is Saipar Dolok Sub-Hole. N. reinwardtiana has the most widely spread. District with the number of the lowest type is East Angkola sub sub-Arse, Marancar Sub-district and sub-district of Tano Tombangan with 1 types
GAMBARAN OBESITAS DAN KADAR KOLESTEROL BERDASARKAN UMUR DAN JENIS KELAMIN PADA PASIEN YANG BEROBAT DI RUMAH SAKIT HAJI MEDAN
This reseach aims to determine the relationship between obesity and blood lipid levels in patients who seek treatment at Hospital Haji Medan. The research uses descriptive method that is a picture of the number of people to pull data directly from secondary data sources, namely the medical records of all patients treated at the Hospital Haji Medan. Parameters measured were patient age, sex and analyzing the increasing number of patients from 2012 to 2013. The results showed that the samples of patients who are obese biggest is 41-60 year age range that is equal to 44.15%, normal conditions alone amounted to 25. 98%. The second age range who are obese in this study were 61-80 years is 11.04% and normal as much as 8.44 percent, and the third at 21-40 years of age as much as 1.95 obesity and 8.44% for normal conditions , obesity among men and women obtained the highest percentage calculations for obesity is on the female is 46.75% while the male percentage of 13.64%. Obesity patients have cholesterol levels > 200 for a total percentage of 48.05%, while patients with normal conditions of 9.09%. Based on the age of the highest number of obese in the age group 41-60 years, while based on gender, obese women more than men
