Assessment of Factors Affecting Rural Electrification For Household Improvement: A Case Study of Mkuranga District.
This study was conducted to assess the rural electrification utilization for household improvement, on a case of Mkuranga district. Specifically, the study assessed the time frame; the effect of installation charges paid; as well as the monthly expenses to the rural electrification utilization for household improvement at Mkuranga district. The study was guided by the modernization theory, sustainable livelihood approach, along with theory of vulnerability. The analysis utilized a combination of descriptive analysis, content analysis along with a correlation analysis. In the findings the study revealed that positive correlation between the time frame since adoption of electricity as well as reliability of electricity to the household improvement. Similarly, the study discovered a negative correlation between the installation charges and monthly expenses to the household improvement. On the other hand, the study revealed the most common riers at adaption of electricity among households included costs, unreliable electricity, lack of reliable finances to enhance the adaption of electricity, as well as the remote nature of localities. Therefore, the study recommended on financial support and subsidies to households, enhancing reliable supply of electricity, as well as development electricity infrastructure and enhancing accessibility to electricity among the rural communities.

Unominishaji na Utenzishaji wa Maneno ya Kiswahili katika Rejista za Magazetini.
Utafiti huu umechunguza miundo ya unominishaji na utenzishaji katika gazeti la Zanzibar leo. Utafiti huu uliongozwa na malengo mawili ambayo ni kubainisha maneno yaliyonominishwa na yaliyotenzishwa katika lugha ya Kiswahili na pili, kufafanua miundo ya maneno iliyotumika katika kunominisha na kutenzisha katika habari za kawaida na habari za michezo katika gazeti la Zanzibar Leo. Aidha, nadharia ya mofolojia, Leksika na usarufishaji zilitumika katika ukusanyaji na uchanganuzi wa data. Data za utafiti huu zilikusanywa kupitia mbinu ya usomaji wa nyaraka za gazeti la Zanzibar leo . Sampuli ya utafiti huu ilikuwa ni orodha ya maneno yaliyochukuliwa na kuchunguzwa katika gazeti la Zanzibar leo. Jumla ya maneno ishirini na tano (25) yalibainika kuwa yamenominishwa ambayo ni sawa na asilimia 47 za maneno yote yaliyochunguzwa. Vilevile, maneno ishirini na sita (26) yalibainika kutenzishwa katika gazeti hilo, ambayo ni sawa na asilimia 53 ya maneno yote. Matokeo ya utafiti huu yameonesha miundo na viwango mbalimbali vya unominishaji na utenzishaji vimejitokeza katika gazeti la Zanzibar leo. Matokeo haya, yanathibitisha kuwa uandishi wa magazeti hutumia mbinu za usarufi katika kunominisha na kutenzisha. Ingawa wengi wao hawatumii miundo hiyo kwa taaluma bali hutumia kama ni mazoea katika matumizi ya lugha ya uandishi wa habari. Utafiti huu unapendekeza kufanyika tafiti zaidi kuhusu sarufi ya lugha hasa katika uandishi wa magazeti katika maeneo ya uchomozi wa virai namuundo wa uchanganyaji lugha na athari zake katika magazeti ya udaku, na ushikamani wa matini katika habari
Influence of Employees’ Readiness on Retirement Transition, Study of Kleruu Teachers’ College, Iringa Municipal Council– Iringa Region.
This study primarily examined the Influence of employees’ readiness on retirement transition at Klerruu Teachers College in Iringa municipal.The study was guided by three specific objectives namely; to examine the influence of access to retirement information on retirement readiness; to determine the influence of financial preparedness on retirement readiness, and to assess the influence of social preparedness on retirement readiness. Census approach was used to obtain research participants thus; the entire population of 54 employees at Klerruu Teachers College participated in the study. The study employed a quantitative approach and a descriptive research design. Questionnaires were used to accrue data that informed this study. Research findings from descriptive statistics revealed that: firstly, the majority of the respondents had sufficient retirement information which positively influences the retirement readiness of employees. Secondly, the majority of the respondents were insufficiently prepared financially and this had a negative influence on the retirement readiness of employees. Last but not least, majority of respondents were socially prepared for retirement which had a positive influence on the retirement readiness. The results of the regression analysis showed that only social preparedness had a significant relationship with retirement readiness unlike other variables namely, retirement information and financial preparedness were found to have insignificant relationship to retirement readiness. Therefore, with such findings it was concluded that there is a need of implementing a retirement policy so as to boost employees’ awareness of retirement readiness during the retirement transition. To add to the body of knowledge of this study, it was recommended that future research concentrate on the private sector so as more insight about the topic.

Assessing the Relationship between Factors for CBPs Sustainability and Community Development: The case of Kihansi Catchment Conservation and Management Project in Mufindi Tanzania.
This study assessed the relationship between factors for Community-Based Projects (CBPs) sustainability and community development in Mufindi District. Specifically, the study focused on identifying socio-economic factors for CBPs sustainability at Mufindi District; examined local community’s perception on CBPs in contributing to socio-economic development at Mufindi District and lastly, it assessed the relationship between the CBPs’ sustainability and the socio-economic development at Mufindi District. The study employed questionnaire and interviews for data collection. The study found that 74% of local community claimed to have accessed socioeconomic benefits such water supply, power, part-time jobs, beekeeping operations, and forest plantation projects; 50.6% of local community members had a good perspective of their informed responsibilities in Kihansi Catchment Conservation and Management Projects (KCCMP) and that both levels of project specialists have the same opinions about how aware locals are of their roles in the project. Furthermore, the study revealed that poor involvement of local community during planning and monitoring and evaluation phases are the main reasons for lack of sustainability of the efforts initiated by the projects. The study concludes that CBPs are more likely to be sustainable when there is a prior involvement of local community during planning that will put into account the locally-initiated projects as alternative sources of income instead of imposing a full-packaged project for implementation.

Examining Factors Influencing Performance of Projects Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation in Public Institution: A Case of Temeke Municipal Council in Dar es Salaam.
This study intended to examine factors influencing the performance of projects implementation, monitoring and evaluation in the public institution. A Case of Temeke Municipal Council in Dar es Salaam. The literature review shows that there are several factors influencing the performance of project implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the performance of public institutions. The theories used in this study include Relational Contract Theory and Principle of Management Theory. Hypotheses were developed and verified the five factors were found through rigorous statistical tests to significantly positively influence the performance of projects implementation, monitoring and evaluation in project performance in public institutions. This study used a quantitative approach and exploratory design, a sample size of 100 respondents was used to collect data, a random sampling method was used and questionnaire data collection method, the data analyzed through the SPSS regression model to test the hypotheses of the study. Findings show that project implementation, monitoring and evaluation in Tanzania have a significant positive influencing performance on project performance in public institutions. Therefore, the study concludes that projects performance in public institutions under investigation discovered that the projects implementation, monitoring and evaluations triggered by factors influencing projects implementation as good culture in project management; project implementation influenced by competencies and skills of manager. The study recommends that the project managers should provide the skill to other staffs, resources and facilities’ during the period of monitoring and evaluation in order to get sustainable projects.

Kuchunguza Itikadi katika Mashairi ya Muhammed Seif Khatib: Mifano kutoka Diwani ya Wasakatonge.
Lengo kuu la utafiti huu ni kuchunguza itikadi katika mashairi ya Muhammed Seif Khatib katika Diwani ya Wasakatonge. Katika kukamilisha tasnifu hii, utafiti ulikuwa na malengo mahususi mawili ambayo ni kuchambua masuala ya kiitikadi yanazojitokeza katika mashairi ya Wasakatonge na kubainisha mbinu za kisanaa zinazoibua masuala ya kiitikadi katika mashairi ya Wasakatonge. Data za utafiti huu zimekusanywa kwa kutumia mbinu za usomaji makini na upitiaji wa nyaraka kwa kuongozwa na nadharia mbili za U-marx na Simiotiki. Matokeo ya utafiti yanaonesha kwamba masuala yanayojenga itikadi katika mashairi ya Wasakatonge ni, uongozi mbaya, uchu wa madaraka na uongozi, mapenzi, matabaka, ukoloni mamboleo, malezi na maadili katika jamii. Pia matokeo ya utafiti huu, yanaonyesha kuwa itikadi katika mashairi ya Wasakatonge zinajengwa kwa kutumia mbinu mbalimbali za kisanaa kama tamathali za usemi za tashibiha, sitiari, takriri na misemo tu ndizo zilizotafitiwa. Kupitia vipengele hivyo vya fani, mtunzi ameweza kuwasilisha itikadi mbalimbali katika kazi yake ya fasihi kwa Mashairi ya Wasakatonge
Perception of Mining Local Communities towards Mining Corporate Social Responsibility Interventions at Matongo Ward in Tarime District.
Since the adoption of the 2009 National Mineral Policy, various mining companies have been operating in different places in the country. While the policy emphasises on the importance of the mining companies to show their roles in the development of communities living around mining sites, there have been complaints from mining communities that they do not benefit from mining activities. The study investigated on mining corporate social responsibility (CSR) interventions, a case of Matongo ward in Tarime District, Tanzania. The researcher used both quantitative and qualitative research design. The data collection techniques used includes interviews and questionnaire. The data obtained were analysed using Microsoft excel. The researcher used a sample size of 154 respondents; key informants of the study mining communities who were obtained through purposive and random sampling techniques. The findings show that mining CSR is very important, because enhances the development of the community; though majority, 56% were not aware on CSR. Majorities appreciate the presence of mining companies CSR in their communities because implement development projects. On other hand it was found out that policies, government leadership, attitude and economic situation affects the implementation of CSR. Lastly it was found that unity and cooperation between the government and mining companies is the best way of promoting corporate social responsibility in the mining communities. It was concluded that; the government, mining companies and other stakeholders should look on how to seat together so as to promote more the CSR. The study recommends that to meet the achievement of CSR, the government and the mining companies should cooperate well.

Contribution of Project-based learning to sustainability of rural livelihood projects established by beneficiaries of local government loans: A case of Tarime District.
This study sought to assess the contribution of project-based learning to sustainability of rural livelihood projects established by beneficiaries of local government loans (women, youth and people with disabilities) in Tarime district. Specifically, the study examined how sustainability is evaluated during design and appraisal of livelihood projects proposed by beneficiaries of local government loans, examined project-based learning mechanisms available and how project-based learnings findings are used, and assessed how project-based learning findings are used to inform sustainability of established livelihood projects established by the beneficiaries of local government loans in Tarime district council. The study adopted cross-sectional research design. A total of 338 respondents were selected randomly to participate in household survey. In addition, 14 KIIs and 6 FGDs were conducted. To increase accuracy of data, kobo toolbox was used to collect data. Collected quantitative data was processed using SPSS and Ms. Excel while qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The study findings revealed that project-based learnings contribute positively to sustainability through generation of new knowledge, increase of innovation and creativity and increase of quantity and quality of outputs produced. Moreover, study findings elucidated that because of absence of effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system, M&E activities are not implemented hence failure to capture lessons learnt and best practices. The study recommends strengthening M&E system and review local government loans regulations and guidelines in order projects funded by those loans to contribute to improvement of beneficiaries’ welfare.

Determinants of The Effectiveness of Monitoring and Evaluation Systems in Public Health Organizations: A Case of Mwananyamala Hospital in Dar Es Salaam.
The Mwananyamala Hospital in Dar es Salaam was the focus of the study, which investigate the factors that determine the efficacy of monitoring and evaluation systems in public health organizations. The study analyzed how stakeholders' involvement, staff competency, and management support affect monitoring and evaluation effectiveness. It also evaluated the obstacles to effective monitoring and evaluation implementation. This study employed a quantitative research approach with an explanatory cross-sectional research design. The study's target population was 259, from which 218 respondents were selected. Frequency, percentage, and multiple linear regressions were used to evaluate the data collected. Results show that there is a significant positive correlation between Stakeholders’ involvement and the Effectiveness of Monitoring and Evaluation, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.028. Also, the study that there is a significant positive for employee competence as evidenced by a p-value of 0.032 also the study revealed a significant positive for management support owing to the p-value of 0.024, which is less than 0.05. Conclusions were that management support, staff competency and stakeholder involvement all favorably impact monitoring and evaluation efficacy. The study recommends involvements of stakeholders including contractors in meetings, hiring informed, talented, and experienced staff for monitoring assessment activities, and contracting external monitoring and evaluation experts to share their knowledge and expertise.

Effect of Guidance and Counseling on Teenager Pregnancies in Public Secondary Schools: A Case of Kyerwa District, Kagera.
The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of guidance and counseling on teenager pregnancies in public secondary schools in Kyerwa district, Kagera, Tanzania. The study used a convergent parallel research design supported with a mixed-methods research approach. Convenience, purposive, simple random sampling techniques were used to select the sample size of 110 informants (10 HoSs, 10 TCs and 90 GSs). Data collection tools were questionnaires, focus group discussions and semi-structured interview guides. Quantitative data were coded and analyzed by the use of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) computer program version 28.0 and interpreted in tabular forms by the use of frequencies and percentages while qualitative data were transcribed and analyzed thematically. The findings establish that, school-related risky behaviours leading to teenage pregnancies are sexual relationships with villagers, failure to use condoms, and favours and gifts. Students’ perceive that, guidance and counselling help them reduce unwanted pregnancies among them, sexually transmitted infections and sexually transmitted diseases. Teacher-counselors are challenged because they are not trusted by girl students. It is recommended that, guidance and counselling should from time to time be provided to all students and some obligations on teacher-counselors should be minimized.
