Effect of Rewards On Job Satisfaction In Tanzania Prison Services.
The present study assessed the effect of rewards on the job satisfaction of prison officers working at Arusha Central Prison. Three specific objectives guided the study; to determine the effect of financial rewards on job satisfaction among prison officers at Arusha Central Prison, to establish the effect of non-financial rewards on job satisfaction among prison officers at Arusha Central Prison, and to determine the effect of the benefit package on job satisfaction among prison officers at Arusha Central Prison. The study was based on positivist research philosophy. The research approach of this study was quantitative, and the research design was explanatory. The population of the study was 330 prison officers, and the sample size was 168 respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, and analysis was done using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The findings showed that financial rewards such as salaries, allowances, promotions, and bonuses were perceived to be essential for job satisfaction among prison officers at Arusha Central Prison. Secondly it was indicated that non-financial rewards such as appreciation and recognition, career growth opportunities, and job autonomy were positive and significantly related job satisfaction. Thirdly it was revealed that the benefits package comprising compensation for occupational injury, health insurance, mental wellness program recognition, transport facilities, and decent housing significantly affect job satisfaction among prison officers at Arusha Central Prison. Based on the This study recommends that implement a structured and regular system for reviewing and adjusting the salaries of prison officers secondly, establish formal and informal recognition programs to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work and dedication of prison officers and lastly, conduct regular reviews of the benefit package to ensure it remains competitive and aligned with the evolving needs of prison officers.

The Effect of Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction in the Public Sectors in Tanzania
The study assessed the effects of service quality on customer satisfaction in the public sector, the case study of Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO). The objectives were to identify the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction in public sector using TANESCO as a case study, to identify the causes of poor-quality customer services in public sector using TANESCO as a case study, and to identify how customer’s rate average on their level of perception from the service quality provided in Kigoma region. This research used primary data in data collection whereby questionnaires used were given to a sample of 63 respondents. Data collected was analyzed quantitatively using Multiple Linear Regression by using the SPSS software. While the qualitative data from interviews was analyzed using content analysis. The study found that, there is a positive relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction with the fact that improvement in customer service provision can upgrade the quality, hence customer satisfaction becomes inevitable. The study further revealed that, TANESCO has the systematic procedures that are used as measures to assure customers with improved service. Also, the service that is provided by TANESCO satisfies customers as majority of respondents pointed out that the service is of good quality, despite few respondents who are not satisfied with the service quality. The study concluded that, quality service highly impacts satisfaction of the customers as they receive the services which meet their expectations. The study recommended that the management has to concentrate more on service quality attributes which are considered more important by clients.

Perceived usefulness of In-service Training Programmes to teachers’ professional development in Tabora Municipality, Tabora Region
This study assessed the perceived usefulness of in-service training programmes to teachers’ professional development in Tabora Municipality, Tanzania. Specifically, the study assessed the types of in-services training programmes provided to primary school teachers in Tabora Municipality; examined the rationales of in-service training programmes to primary school teachers’ professional development in Tabora Municipality, and teachers’ perception on the usefulness of in-service training programmes in Tabora Municipality. It employed descriptive research designs and mixed research approaches whereby questionnaires and interviews were used to collect data from 81 respondents. The findings posited five types of in-service training programmes (i.e., the on-job training program type, off-job training program type) provided to school teachers. Moreover, the finding revealed that the rationale behind in-service teachers’ training programmes make teachers capable of doing their work effectively. Moreover, the findings indicated that teachers perceive in-service training as useful to their professional development henceforth the perception is positive. The findings conclude that in-service training can be provided while on job or off job and sometimes the two can be combined. The same training can be under the government or privately organized. The conclusion insists that in-service is highly needed for teachers’ professional growth. This study recommends that more training to teachers for the professional development, and the training should frequently be provided to match the dynamic technology.

Effect of Training and Development on Employee Performance
The study examined the effect of training and development on the employee‟s performance, a case of TTCL Sumbawanga. The specific objectives of the study were to; examine the effect of on job training on performance of employees at TTCL
Sumbawanga, determine the effect of off job training on performance of employees at TTCL Sumbawanga and to assess the effect of job rotation training on performance of employees at TTCL Sumbawanga. The research methodology and
technique used to collect data are interview and questionnaire. The collected datawere analyzed by using statistical tools SPSS Software for its interpretation and
discussion of research questions at TTCL in Sumbawanga. Inferential statistical were used for the data analysis like Pearson correlation coefficient(r) and linear regression
were used to determine if there is relationship existed between independent variable (on job, off job and job rotation) and dependent variable (employees‟ performance).
The study findings on job training seen by respondents to be critical to learn important tasks at shot time, reduce supervision time; build team spirit among the staff. The study findings off Job training has an impact on motivating employees work hard and increase confidence level and the study findings Job rotation indicated that to promote responsibility and duties, improve performance and share
working experience among employees. The study recommends that there is a need for TTCL Sumbawanga to allocate sufficient amount of budget to train TTCL employees. TTCL Sumbawanga should perceive training of employees as a
continuous practice. Also, TTCL Sumbawanga should create supportive training policies of employees for polishing the skills and knowledge of the employees.

Impact of Women Development Fund (WDF) on Livelihood Improvement among Women in Geita Town Council
Women Development Fund is the programme established by the Government of Tanzania and its objective is to support the economic improvement of women especially rural women. Women Development Fund supports women in setting up small income-generating businesses, which in turn are seen as a means to contribute to lifting their household out of poverty. The research was conducted in Geita Town Council. The study objectives were to identify the income generating activities
performed by women under Women Development Fund, to examine the effect on extent to which WDF has really helped women to improve their livelihood and to examine the effect on challenges associated with Women Development Fund. The
study addressed the Impact of WDF on the livelihood improvement among Women.The research adopted cross-section design while simple random sampling was used to obtain suitable respondents. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze on the objectives of the study. Both primary and secondary data were collected while questionnaires tool were used for data collection. The findings shows that the income generating activities conducted by women were grain trading, food vending, tailoring, poultry keeping and hand craft. Furthermore the findings revealed that average annual household income before WDF was significantly different from that after WDF and challenges associated with WDF were note as bureaucracy
system, poor planning for fund uses, community misleading/perception and insufficient fund provided. The researcher recommended that trainings should be facilitated to the Women under WDF concerning business management.

The Assessment of Attributes of Heads of School Towards Academic Performance
The study was undertaken to assess the attributes of heads of school towards academic performance. A case study of Nyamagana, District-Mwanza-Tanzania. It was guided by three objective: To evaluate parameters related to supervision as displayed by heads of school in academic activities and its contribution to academic performance, to assess creativity aspects of heads of school as experienced at school level and its contribution to academic performance and to examine elements of cooperation with other education stakeholders in school activities and its contribution to academic performance. This study adopted Social Learning Theory. A mixed methods research approach and cross-sectional research design were applied. The study involved respondents including teacher and heads of school. Data were collected through questionnaire, and interview guide. Also the researcher used the split-half to obtain the reliability of instruments giving 0.82 correlation coefficient. Qualitative date was analysed through descriptive statistics with the help of SPSS version 20 while qualitative data were thematically analysed. The study findings indicate that public secondary schools; students’ academic performance depends on attributes of heads of school for enabling them to engage in learning process effectively. The study concludes that most of heads of school in public secondary schools have positive attributes toward academic performance and are disappointed when their school did not perform well in academic matters. The study recommended that, education stakeholders, like government should put more emphasis on improvising school environment to ensure effective teaching and learning process which reflect on the attributes of heads of schools towards academic performance
Servant leadership and Organisation performance
The study investigated the relationship between servant leadership and organization performance through employee’s satisfaction in primary schools in Morogoro municipality. Specifically, the study examined the relationship between servant leadership behavior and organization performance, relationship between servant leadership behavior on employee satisfaction, relationship between employee’s satisfaction on organizational performance and indirect relationship between servant leadership and primary school organizational performance through employee’s satisfaction. Cross-sectional study design involving five public primary schools was
used and 100 respondents were selected by using purposive and systematic random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a questionnaire, interviews, focus group
discussions and documentary review and analyzed by using SPSS and Structural Equation Model (SEM). The findings revealed that there is positive relationship between servant leadership behavior and organization performance. Also, the results of analysis indicated that servant leadership is positively and significantly related to employee satisfaction. The findings also indicated that job satisfaction has positive and statistically significant relationship with organization performance. Also, the results of the mediation analysis for the fourth objective there is mediating effect of employee’s satisfaction in the relationship between servant leadership and organization performancethe performance of an organization. The study recommends the government to facilitate motivation attainment to local government employees which will impact positively performance of the organizations. Also, the government should ensure the availability of sufficient conditions to the employees in their working stations all over the country. Nevertheless, the government should be open to its employees through the management of the entities responsible for the operationalization in their areas on the efforts undertaken to foster employees’ job satisfaction and appreciations to be attained.

Effects of Organizational Climate On Employee Retention: A Case of Bugando Medical Centre in Mwanza City
This study explored the impacts of organizational climate on employee retention focusing on the Bugando Medical Center as a case study. The objectives of this study were to assess how employee autonomy, job satisfaction and the reward system affect employee retention at the hospital. The study was guided by the Exchange Theory. A study followed positivist philosophy. 223 questionnaires were distributed to participants via simple random sampling design. The analysis was performed using descriptive statistics multiple regression analyses with aid of statistical package for social sciences version 26. The findings revealed that employees’ autonomy, job satisfaction and the reward system significantly influence employee retention. Specifically, higher level of employee autonomy and job satisfaction were associated with increased employees’ retention, in same way reward system also play a notable role in influencing retention rates. Based on these findings it is recommended that Bugando Medical Centers should ensure employee autonomy by implementing programs that allows staff more control over their tasks, decisions making processes. Additionally, management should regularly assess employees’ satisfaction and adjust areas as needed. To improve the reward system, it is advised that Bugando Medical Centre reviews its current offering to ensures competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.

The Influences of School Quality Assurers on the Academic Performance: A Case of Misungwi District Council.
This study examined the influence of school quality assurers on the academic performance of pupils in primary schools in Misungwi District. The objectives were to identify internal quality assurance practices, determine external quality assurance practices, and examine their effects on pupils’ academic performance. A mixed-methods approach with a convergent parallel design was employed, involving 86 respondents. Data were collected through interviews, non-participant observation, and document review. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis. The findings revealed that internal quality assurance practices included regular curriculum review, continuous professional development, collaboration among teachers, and consistent monitoring and evaluation. External practices comprised school inspections, accreditation processes, partnerships with external stakeholders, and regular professional training. Both internal and external quality assurance practices were found to positively influence academic performance by improving teacher effectiveness, increasing pupil engagement, enhancing accountability and transparency, and boosting teachers’ motivation and morale. The study concludes that internal and external quality assurance practices are interlinked and collectively enhance pupils’ academic performance in primary schools. It recommends that policymakers and education stakeholders strengthen awareness and implementation of effective quality assurance systems to sustain academic improvement.

The Effect of Overcrowded Classrooms on Teacher’s Effectiveness in Tanzania: The Case of Public Secondary Schools in Temeke District, Tanzania.
This study was set to explore the qualities that teachers, parents and students in community secondary schools in Hanang perceive as important for heads of schools to raise students’ academic performance. The study specifically, explored the perceptions on educational qualification of heads of schools; their work experience and other qualities that were considered as important in raising students’ performance in community secondary schools. Questionnaire and interviews were used to collect data from 10 teachers, 10 parents, and 100 students who were purposefully and randomly selected from 10 secondary schools in Hanang District. An SPSS 16.0 version computer software application was used to analyze numerical data while the qualitative data were subjected to thematic analysis. The study revealed that, while proper qualification and experience were considered as important in raising the students’ academic performance, there were other qualities including democratic behavior, ability to motivate subordinates, responsibility, punctuality, supportive, and approachable. Thus, the study recommends that for school management to be effective, the heads of school must first, portray these important leadership qualities in order to raise students’ academic performance. The study recommends to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to conduct regular in service training especially for the newly appointed head of schools on managerial and leadership skills
