    Effect of Assets Management in Banking Sector on Organisation Performance: A Case of ABSA Bank Tanzania Limited.

    This study determined the impact of strategic assets management on organizational performance with ABSA Tanzania Ltd being its case study. Three objectives guided this study. To examine the effect of the competencies of Bank staff on the performance of the organization at ABSA Bank Tanzania Ltd, to examine the effect of internal control systems on the performance of the organization at ABSA Bank Tanzania Ltd and to determine the effect of the lifecycle management on the performance of the organization at Absa Tanzania Ltd. The resource based view was utilised. Positivism research philosophy was used. With quantitative approach and explanatory research design a sample of 40 was used. Structured questionnaires were used as data collection tool. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis were used as data analysis tools. The study found that all independent variables competencies of Bank staff, internal control systems and lifecycle management were positive and significantly related to ABSA Bank performance. The study conclude that effective asset management plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational performance in the banking sector, as evidenced by ABSA Bank Tanzania Limited, where strategic asset allocation, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance contribute to financial stability, operational efficiency, and overall institutional growth. Based on the findings it recommended that ABSA Bank Tanzania Limited enhance its asset management strategies by adopting advanced financial technologies, strengthening risk management frameworks, and continuously aligning asset allocation with regulatory requirements and market dynamics to optimize organizational performance.     Patient Satisfaction with Healthcare Services in Kyela District Hospital, Tanzania.

    This study investigates patient satisfaction with healthcare services at Kyela District Hospital in Tanzania, the main objective of this study is to assess the level of patient satisfaction with healthcare services in Kyela District Hospital, Tanzania, focusing on patients' perspectives on healthcare facilities, bureaucracies involved in accessing services, and the readiness of medical personnel. The research aims to address the gap in understanding patient satisfaction in rural hospitals. The study used semistructured interviews with 20 patients, employing purposive sampling to ensure diverse representation across departments. The findings reveal that while there have been improvements in hospital infrastructure and specialized units, challenges such as overcrowding, lack of privacy, and inefficient administrative processes persist. Additionally, patient opinions on staff varied, with some appreciating the care provided, while others reported dissatisfaction due to overworked personnel. The study concludes that improving patient satisfaction in rural settings requires addressing staff shortages, streamlining administrative processes, and enhancing patient-centered care. This study will benefit various stakeholders. Patients will experience a more positive healthcare environment, while providers gain insights to enhance service delivery and patient care. Policymakers will receive data-driven evidence to develop targeted interventions for rural healthcare challenges. This knowledge will also empower the healthcare community to strengthen healthcare delivery across Tanzania. Furthermore, as this study employs an inductive approach, the findings can generate a theory that will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on patient satisfaction and healthcare service delivery in rural settings.     The Role of Community in Prevention of Street Children’s Phenomena in Dodoma City.

    This study investigated the role of community in prevention of street children’s phenomena in Dodoma City. The specific objectives were to assess the community’s awareness on prevention of street children’s phenomena in Dodoma City, to assess the reasons for prevention of street children in Dodoma City, and to find out challenges facing community in prevention of street children’s phenomena in Dodoma City. The study used a mixed approaches and descriptive research design. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews methods. The sampling procedure used in this study were both Probability Sampling and Non-Probability while data analyzed by using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) computer software version 28.0, and Microsoft Excel software. The theoretical bases for this study included Structural Functionalist Theory developed by Emile Durkheim. The study recruited 92 subjects as its sample size. The findings show that 42% of the respondents were informed of the factors contributing to streetism, and 22% of respondents cited the community's responsibility in combating the stigma. Adding on, 36% of respondents were aware of the reasons causing streetism. The phenomena of streetism waters down the dignity of child’s welfare, hence multiple measures should be used to counteract the problem. Study recommends for the government and community to work together to end the problem of streetism

    Analyzing the Perceived Privacy of Electronic Medical Records in Government Hospitals in Tanzania. A Case of Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital.

    This study aimed at analyzing the perceived privacy of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in Government hospitals in Tanzania, a case of Dodoma regional referral hospital. Probability and Non-probability sampling procedures were used through purposive sampling techniques in order to capture information from 210 respondents. Mixed method research design was adopted in conducting this study with both quantitative and qualitative research approaches. Quantitative approach used as the major approach applied, data were collected using Questionnaires, interviews and focus group discussions while qualitative data involves factual and logical interpretation and explanation of the study findings. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentages in order to to draw different tables and charts. In the findings, it is indicated that many of the patients have worries about the privacy of their EMR due to the lack of enough knowledge on how the privacy of their health data is managed, but also there is no clear roles and access level policies for staffs with authorized access to patient's data, staffs do not use a built-in encryption to protect the patient's data privacy. However, due to the existing weaknesses of the firewall system used in the study area, the researcher designs a blockchain framework technology by considering the research objectives, literature reviews, and the results of analyzed collected data from the study. Blockchain technology shows a promising solution to achieve data sharing privacy preservation due to its advantages of immutability, decentralization, transparency and security.     Role of Media in the Dissemination of Agricultural Information: A Case of Shamba Radio, Iringa.

    This study was undertaken to explore the role of the Media in disseminating Agricultural information a Case study of Shamba Radio in Iringa. Specifically, to assess the effectiveness of Shamba Radio in disseminating agricultural information to the farming community in Iringa, to explore the impact of Shamba Radio on farmers' knowledge, practices, and decision-making processes and to identify the challenges and opportunities associated with the use of Shamba Radio as a platform for agricultural communication. The study had a sample size of 70 farmers both males and females and two extension officers who were involved to provide some complimentary information as key informants on the role of Shamba Radio in disseminating Agricultural information. Data were collected through semi- structed questionnaire with open ended and close ended questions. Similarly, descriptive statistics were used during the data analysis. The results revealed that farmers depend on Shamba Radio as a reliable medium to the agricultural information, it was found that through the Shamba radio Programmes farmers have learned, news ways of farming, new avenue for markets of their produce, new agriculture inputs as well as weather variations in their areas. The study recommended the establishment of more radio stations to help small scale farmers to access information as quickly as possible, supporting initiative done by the Shamba Radio and providing more experts on the issues related to soil in order to educate and give more knowledge to the small-scale farmers.     Examination of the Factors Influencing School Leadership on the Provision of Quality Education in Shinyanga Municipality, Tanzania.

    This study examined the factors influencing school leadership on the provision of quality education in Shinyanga Municipality, Tanzania.. The study employed mixed methodology approach. It used sequential exploration design that involved a sample of 87 respondents. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics for quantitative data while thematic analysis was employed in qualitative data. The sampling strategies were simple random sampling technique and purposive technique. Methods of data collection were questionnaire, semi-structured interview and documentary review. The study findings were presented as per research objectives: First, school funding influenced school leadership on the provision of quality education through financing the availability of teaching and learning facilities. Second, the teachers training that influenced school leadership on provision of quality education were on the new curriculum, teaching skills and pedagogical approaches for science and mathematics subjects. Third, the study revealed that parent involvement in school planning and implementation influenced school leadership on quality education. The study concludes that school funding teachers training, and parent involvement influences quality education. The study recommends that school leaders and policy makers should focus on the factors that influence education quality.     Effect of Talent Management Practices on Quality Service Delivery in Rural Public Health Facilities in Tanzania: The Mediating Role of Work Engagement.

    This study determines the effect of talent management practices on quality service delivery in rural public health facilities in Tanzania, with a focus on the mediating role of work engagement. The practices examined include training and development, compensation, succession planning, and work environment. Guided by Social Exchange Theory (SET), Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory, and the SERVQUAL model, this study employed a positivist paradigm and a deductive approach. A cross-sectional survey design was used to collect data from 285 respondents using self-administered questionnaires; data were analysed with IBM SPSS 25 and PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 3 software. Findings indicate that training and development, compensation, and work environment have statistically significant positive effects on quality service delivery, while the effect of succession planning is statistically insignificant. Work engagement partially mediates the relationships between training and development and compensation with quality service delivery, fully mediates the effect of succession planning, but does not mediate the work environment. The study concludes that fostering work engagement through effective talent management is essential for improving service quality in rural public health facilities. It recommends prioritizing employee training, fair compensation, and a supportive work environment while enhancing succession planning through engagement-driven strategies for long-term sustainability. These findings suggest that public health policymakers and managers should strengthen talent management efforts to promote sustainable quality service delivery in rural healthcare settings.     Effect of Leadership Training and Development on Performance of Police Officers In Tanzania: A Case of Serengeti District in Mara Region.

    This discussion assessed the effects of leadership training and development on the performance of police officers in the Serengeti District, Mara Region. The data were collected through questionnaires administered to 113 respondents, all of whom were police officers from the Serengeti Police Station. The data collected through questionnaires, the findings were analyzed based on the study's three specific research objectives. The first objective was to determine the impact of law enforcement training on the performance of police officers in Serengeti. The second objective focused on assessing the effect of ethical training on police performance. The third objective aimed to evaluate the influence of crisis management training on the performance of police officers in Serengeti. The findings show varied results in law enforcement training for Serengeti police officers. While many officers report better understanding of the law, improved crisis management, and stronger ethical leadership, a significant number remain neutral or dissatisfied. On how officers view these benefits the study highlight the need for better training. By adding more real life examples, hands-on scenarios, and focused crisis prevention strategies, the training can be improved to better serve all officers and boost performance, ethical conduct, and community relations. The study recommended refining training programs by including practical scenarios and real-life applications to better meet the diverse needs of officers. It also suggested enhancing collaboration training to improve teamwork and problem-solving.     Educational Stakeholders’ Perception on the Feasibility of Using Mobile Phones in Teaching and Learning: A Case of Piloted Public Secondary Schools in Kinondoni Municipality: Dar es Salaam.

    This study examined stakeholders‟ perceptions on the feasibility of using mobile phones in teaching and learning in piloted public secondary schools in Kinondoni Municipality, Dar es Salaam. It focused on three objectives: assessing knowledge, attitudes, and practices of mobile phone use in education. A mixed-methods approach with a convergent parallel design was employed, involving 678 participants. Stratified sampling selected 394 students and 284 teachers, while purposive sampling included heads of schools, academic masters, quality assurance officers, and the District Education Officer. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations, and analyse using SPSS for quantitative results and content analysis for qualitative insights. Findings showed that 70% of teachers acknowledged mobile phones‟ usefulness in lesson preparation and delivery. Regression confirmed that knowledge improved teaching performance (β=0.13, p=0.03), while attitude was the strongest predictor for both students (β=0.28, p=0.00) and teachers (β=0.18, p=0.00). Practices influenced teachers (β=0.16, p=0.01) but not students due to limited device access. The study concluded that mobile phones enhance mobility, collaboration, and personalized learning, though challenges such as unreliable internet and financial constraints hinder effective use. Policy recommendations include training teachers, providing digital resources, and ensuring equitable access. The study shows that mobile phones can strengthen interactive, student-centred learning if backed by supportive policies and infrastructures.     The study explored perception of audiences on credibility of Social Media journalism in Tanzania. The objectives are to examine news accuracy, to determine audiences’ trust and to examine the objectivity of Social Media Journalism in Ayo and TBC 2 Online TV as well as to find out ways to enhance credibility of Social Media Journalism in a Ayo and TBC 2 Online TV. The study undertook a Mixed Research design where different methods of data collection and analysis were taken to enrich and confirm the findings from audience perspectives. Both questionnaire and In-depth interview were used as key methods in data collection whilst quantitative data were analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) computer software and qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis. The study find out that, Ayo TV and TBC 2 are credible social media journalism by emphasizes and perform their work observing news accuracy and objectivity which makes audiences to trust Ayo TV and TBC 2 online TV. Therefore, the study concluded that Ayo TV and TBC 2 are credible social media journalism by emphasizes and perform their work by observing news accuracy and objectivity which makes audiences to trust Ayo TV and TBC 2 online media. However, both actors in journalism sectors including audiences, journalists, owner of the media house, journalists’ associations and government have the work to perform to enhance the credibility of Ayo TV and TBC 2, other online social media as well as journalism sector in Tanzania.
