    The Differences Effect between Pond Types and Maggot Allotments on The Protein and Fat of Tilapia Meat

    Tilapia was one of the freshwater fish commodities that were widely consumed, so the demand for tilapia increased and impacted the high price of tilapia feed. Therefore, maggots can be used as additional fish feed, and recently there have been many variations of pond types in tilapia farming. This study aimed to determine the interaction between pond types and maggot allotments for protein and fat in tilapia meat. This study used two types of pools: tarpaulin and drum. The subjects used in this study were tilapia, with as many as 30 fish per pond. The dependent variables in this study were the protein and fat of tilapia meat. This study used the factorial method with a completely randomized design (RAL) with four treatments; each of the four tests consisted of A1B1 (Tarpaulin pool and maggots), A1B2 (Tarpaulin pool without maggots), A2B1 (Drum pool and maggots), and A2B2 (Drum pool without maggots). Data analysis was done using ANOVA with a significance level of 5% if there is an effect continued Duncan test. The results of this study showed no noticeable effect on meat protein (0.253>0.05) and meat fat (0.067>0.05) tilapia

    Effectiveness Of Water And Air Pumps On The Growth And Production Of Lettuce (Lactusa sativa L.) On Various Kinds Of Media With Hydroponic Systems

    Lettuce (Lactusa sativa L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that can be grown in tropical and subtropical areas. This research was conducted in March-June at the Green House of FP.UTP. This study uses the factorial method with a completely randomized design (CRD), a factorial pattern consisting of two factors. 1) Use of a Pump (P0: Without a Water Pump (Aquarium Pump) and Air Pump (Aerator), P1: Using only a water pump, P2: Using only an air pump, P3: A combination of using a water pump and air pump.  2) use of planting media (S) Rockwool; cocopeat, moss, repeated three times. The results showed 1) Pump use treatment (P) had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf width (cm), fresh plant weight (g), dry weight plants (g), consumption weight (g), number of leaves consumed (strands), and root length (cm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 2) The treatment using media (S) had a very significant effect on the fresh weight parameters of the roots (g). It significantly affected the root volume parameters (mm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 3). The combination of pump and media treatment had a significant effect on the root volume parameter (mm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 4). The best result, namely the consumption weight, was achieved in the P3S2 treatment (Combination of treatment using a pump and cocopeat media) with a value of 119.33 g.Lettuce (Lactusa sativa L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that can be grown in tropical and subtropical areas.     ANALISIS FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PERMINTAAN BERAS C4 DI KOTA SURAKARTA

    The demand for c4 rice can experience a decline in Surakarta City from year to year. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the demand for ordinary c4 rice in Surakarta City and how the role of each variable and the degree of sensitivity in determining the demand for c4 rice in Surakarta City is. This research was conducted in Surakarta City. The research method was carried out using a descriptive method for a period of 20 years from 2000-2019 using data from the Surakarta City Central Statistics Agency. The variables studied were the demand for ordinary c4 rice, the price of ordinary c4 rice, the price of c4 king rice, the price of chicken eggs, population and per capita income. The model used is a multiple linear regression model in the form of natural logarithms. The results showed that the price of ordinary c4 rice had an effect on the demand for ordinary c4 rice, while the price of king c4 rice, the price of broiler eggs, population and per capita income did not significantly affect the demand for ordinary c4 rice. The price elasticity of ordinary c4 rice, c4 king rice (substitute goods) and chicken egg prices (complementary goods) is inelastic, while the positive income elasticity indicates a normal goods relationship.Permintaan beras c4 bisa yang mengalami penurunan di Kota Surakarta dari tahun ke tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan beras c4 biasa di Kota Surakarta dan bagaimana peranan masing-masing variable dan derajat kepekaan dalam menentukan permintaan beras c4 di Kota Surakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kota Surakarta. Metode penelitian  dilakukan dengan metode diskriptif selama kurun waktu 20 tahun dari tahun 2000-2019 menggunakan data dari Badan Pusat Statistika Kota Surakarta. Variabel yang diteliti yaitu permintaan beras c4 biasa, harga beras c4 biasa, harga beras c4 raja, harga telur ayam, jumlah penduduk dan pendapatan perkapita. Model yang digunakan adalah model regresi linier berganda dalam bentuk logaritma natural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga beras c4 biasa berpengaruh terhadap permintaan beras c4 biasa, sedangkan harga beras c4 raja, harga telur ayam ras, jumlah penduduk dan pendapatan perkapita tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap permintaan beras c4 biasa. Nilai elastisitas harga beras c4 biasa, harga beras c4 raja (barang subtitusi) dan harga telur ayam ras (barang komplementer) bersifat inelastis, sedangkan elastisitas pendapatan positif menunjukkan hubungan barang norma

    The Phaius callosus and Phaius montanus orchids are ornamental orchids with high ornamental value and are classified as endangered plants. Genetic information from Phaius callosus and Phaius montanus orchids will facilitate plant breeding as it is essential to improve ornamental plant properties. Chromosome analysis aims to determine chromosomes' shape, number, and size. The research was conducted at the Cytology Laboratory of the LIPI Biology Research Center, Bogor, West Java. Analysis of research results based on observations of shooting results and data on the size and shape of chromosomes was carried out descriptively. The chromosome number of Phaius callosus and Phaius montanus had a similarity of 2n = 46, metacentric in shape. The chromosome size of Phaius callosus was 1.30 ± 0.29, while that of Phaius montanus was 2.32 ± 1.01.     Agrotourism Development Strategy in Wonogiri

    This study aims to analyze and identify internal and external environmental factors, describe marketing strategies, and describe the priority strategies used by Soko Langit Agrotourism. The data processing and analysis method uses the IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation), EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix, the IE (Internal-External) matrix, the SWOT matrix (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). The study results were obtained from five internal and five external factors, which resulted in eight alternative strategies in the marketing of Soko Langit Agrotourism. This study resulted in three strategic priorities related to visitor satisfaction, including a) improving the quality of facility maintenance; b) adding and maintaining rides in order to compete with competitors; and c) taking advantage of capital opportunities from the village government to reduce the number of loans from banks. Recommendations for strategies that can be implemented include: allocating capital opportunities from the village government for facility maintenance costs; adding rides with manageable maintenance levels; improving facilities that accommodate extreme weather changes; increasing the efficiency of financing from bank loans; and increasing the efficiency of facilities to accommodate extreme weather

    Why Eucalyptus Citriodora Potential as Biopesticide ?

    Various efforts have been made to eliminate or at least reduce the negative impact of chemical pesticides that are currently widely used. One of these efforts is to use other effective control alternatives, such as bio-pesticides/botanical pesticides. Eucalyptus citriodora essential oil was previously better known in traditional medicine. However, many studies have shown that this essential oil has much potential to be used as a biopesticide. This article reviews the biopesticide potential of E. citriodora essential oil, including its herbicidal, bactericidal, fungicidal, nematicidal, insect-repellent, and insecticidal activities. E. citriodora oil contains citronellal, citronellol, 1,8-cineole, isopulegol, ?-pinene, and citronellyl acetate. Citronellal and citronellol are one of the main toxins in E. citriodora essential oil. However, this review shows that the oil has a broad spectrum of biological activity, making it a simple and environmentally friendly pesticide

    PRODUKTIVITAS PADI VARIETAS INPARI 33 DAN FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHINYA DI KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH

    Central Java Province is one of the national food buffer provinces. Central Java province has good soil fertility so that the agricultural sector can become the leading sector in this province. One of the commodities cultivated in the Karanganyar Regency is rice with the Inpari 33 variety. This study aims to determine the analysis of the productivity of Inpari 33 rice in Karanganyar Regency and the production factors that affect the productivity of Inpari 33 rice varieties. This study was conducted in 3 villages, namely Jati Village. , Suruh Kalang Village and Jetis Village in Jaten District, Karanganyar Regency in the second planting season, namely April-July. The sample was taken as many as 90 farmers from the 3 villages intentionally with the consideration that farmers grow rice varieties inpari 33 and are active in farmer group membership. The data analysis method used in this research is the analysis of productivity and production functions of Cobb-Douglass. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the average production of Inpari 33 rice owned by farmers in Karanganyar Regency is 1,367.14 kg of dry milled grain. Farmers' rice productivity reached a value of 4,538.08 kg per hectare. Factors that affect rice productivity are land area, number of seeds, urea fertilizer, SP36, NPK, organic fertilizers, solid pesticides and the number of workers.Provinsi Jawa Tengah merupakan salah satu provinsi penyangga pangan nasional. Provinsi Jawa Tengah memiliki kesuburan tanah yang baik sehingga sektor pertanian dapat menjadi sektor unggulan di provinsi ini. Salah satu komoditas yang dibudidayakan di Kabupaten Karanganyar adalah padi dengan varietas Inpari 33. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui menganalisis produktivitas padi inpari 33 di Kabupaten Karanganyar dan faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi produktivitas padi varietas inpari 33. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 3 Desa yaitu Desa Jati, Desa Suruh Kalang dan Desa Jetis di Kecamatan Jaten, Kabupaten Karanganyar pada musim tanam kedua yaitu bulan April-Juli. Sampel diambil sebanyak 90 petani dari 3 desa tersebut secara sengaja dengan pertimbangan petani menanam padi varietas inpari 33 dan aktif dalam keanggotaan kelompok tani. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis produktivitas dan fungsi  produksi  Cobb-Douglass.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa rerata produksi padi inpari 33 milik petani di Kabupaten Karanganyar sebesar 1.367,14 kg gabah kering giling. Produktivitas padi milik petani mencapai nilai 4.538,08 kg per hektar. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas padi adalah luas lahan, jumlah benih, pupuk urea, SP36, NPK, pupuk organik, pestisida padat dan jumlah tenaga kerja

    GROWTH AND YIELD OF WATERMELON (Citrullus vulgaris) IN SUBSURFACE FERTIGATION USING CLAY POT ON ALFISOL AND ENTISOL

    This study aims to identify the effect of spacing from subsurface irrigation sources and soil type on the growth and yield of watermelon plants. The research was carried out in the experimental field in Sukosari Village, Karanganyar Regency, with sub-irrigation using clay pots. The experiment used a nesting design with 2 types of soil, namely Alfisol (T1) and Entisol (T2), and the spacing of 4 plants from clay pots was 5 cm (J1), 10 cm (J2), 15 cm (J3), and 20 cm. cm (J4). The research data were analyzed by ANOVA, and if it had a significant effect, then Duncan's test was continued, at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the treatment of jatropha affected the growth and yield of watermelon plants. Planting distance of  5 cm caused plant height, fruit weight, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry weight to be higher than other treatments. The type of soil that produced the best watermelon plants was Entisol soil were plant height, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry height were higher than in Alfisol soil, but for fruit weights the two were not much different.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh jarak tanam dari sumber irigasi bawah permukaan dan jenis tanah terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman semangka. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lapangan percobaan Desa Sukosari, Kabupaten Karanganyar, dengan sub-irrigation menggunakan kendi liat. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan bersarang dengan 2 jenis tanah yaitu Tanah Alfisol (T1) dan Entisol (T2), dan jarak tanam 4 tanaman dari pot tanah liat yaitu 5 cm (J1), 10 cm (J2), 15 cm (J3), dan 20 cm (J4). Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan ANOVA, dan apabila berpengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan uji Duncan, pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jarak tanah mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman semangka. Jarak tanam 5 cm menyebabkan tinggi tanaman, bobot buah, bobot segar pucuk, dan bobot kering pucuk lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Jenis tanah yang menghasilkan tanaman semangka paling baik yaitu tanah Entisol dimana tinggi tanaman, bobot segar pucuk, dan tinggi kering pucuk lebih tinggi dibandingkan di tanah Alfisol, namun untuk bobot buah keduanya tidak jauh berbeda

    This study aims to determine the effect of K2O Fertilizer Dosage and Various Planting Media on Growth, Yield and Interaction of the Two Treatments on Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.). This research was conducted in August 2020 in Jembungan Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali Regency with an altitude of ± 195 meters above sea level with entisol soil type. This study used a factorial method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors with three replications. The first factor is the dose of K2O (K) fertilizer, consisting of 3 levels: K1 = 100 kg/ha, K2 = 200 kg/ha, K3 = 300 kg/ha. The second factor is Planting Media (M), consisting of 4 levels: M1 = Soil Planting Media + Bokashi, M2 = Soil Planting Media + Cow Manure, M3 = Soil Planting Media + Goat Manure, M4 = Soil Planting Media + Cocopad. The results of the study can be concluded as follows: 1) The dose of K2O (K) fertilizer has a very significant effect on all growth parameters and yield parameters, 2) Planting Media has a significant effect on plant height and fresh stover, no significant effect on the number of leaves, dry stover and all result parameters. 3) The combination of the treatment dose of K2O fertilizer and Planting Media (K x M) showed a very significant effect on all growth parameters and yields of shallots.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Uji Dosis Pupuk K dan Berbagai Media Tanam terhadap Pertumbuhan, Hasil serta Interaksi dari Kedua perlakuan tersebut pada tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai bulan Oktober 2020 di Desa Jembungan,  Kecamatan  Banyudono,  Kabupaten  Boyolali  dengan  ketinggian tempat ± 195 mdpl dengan jenis tanah entisol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Faktorial dengan rancangan dasar Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas dua faktor dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu Dosis Pupuk K (K), terdiri 3 taraf : K1 = 100 kg/ha, K2 = 200 kg/ha, K3 = 300 kg/ha. Faktor kedua yaitu Media Tanam (M), terdiri 4 taraf : M1 = Media Tanam Tanah + Bokashi, M2 = Media Tanam Tanah + Pupuk kandang sapi, M3 = Media Tanam Tanah + Pupuk Kandang Kambing, M4 = Media Tanam Tanah + Cocopad. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) Dosis pupuk K 200 kg/ha berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman dan brangkasan segar, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah daun, brangkasan kering dan semua parameter hasil tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). 2) Berbagai macam media tanam sangat berpengaruh terhadap semua parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). 3) Perlakuan kombinasi dosis pupuk K dan macam media tanam tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pertumbuhan dan parameter hasil tanaman Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). 4) Perlakuan kombinasi dosis pupuk K dan macam media tanam yang terbaik yaitu dosis pupuk K 200 kg/ha dengan media tanam tanah + pupuk kandang sapi (K2M2) dengan hasil 20,79 g/tanaman (41,58 ton/ha)

    PERSEPSI WANITA TANI TERHADAP PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN LAPANG DALAM PENGEMBANGAN ANGGREK (Orchidaceae)

    The number of ratios of women is greater than the men. By this comparison, it is necessary to empower women to develop their existing potential. One of the efforts is through the formation of women’s group. The field women group of Dewi Sri is one form of women empowerments in agricultural sector, particularly on the orchid development. In the ongoing development of orchids, field women i still experienced circumstances both in cultivation and sales stage. With the presence of field agricultural extension workers, it is expected that they can accompany the field women group and help to solve the problem. This study aims to find out the perception of field women towards the role of field agricultural extensionists in the development of orchids in the field women group of Dewi Sri, Gaum, Tasikmadu, Karanganyar. The method of determining samples is done through saturated samples with the number of respondents as many as 30 people. The methods of data analysis applied are validity test, reliability test, respondent achievement level and spearman rank test. The results of this study show the perception of field women is  high in the role of extension as a motivator, facilitator and low in the role of extension workers as a consultant, communicator, and supervisor. The development of orchids cultivation stage and sales are classified in the very low category. Spearman rank test results (1) There is a relation between the perception of field women to the role of field agricultural extensionists as a communicator, and supervisor in the development of orchids cultivation stage. While there is no relation between the perception of field women to the role of field agricultural extension as a motivator, facilitator and consultant in the development of orchids cultivation stage. (2) There is a relation between the perception of field women to the role of field agricultural extensionists as a facilitator in the development of orchids in the sales stage. While it is not related between the perception of field women to the role of field agricultural extensionists as a motivator, consultant, communicator and supervisor in the development of orchids sales stage.Jumlah perbandingan wanita lebih besar dibandingkan laki laki. Dengan perbandingan tersebut diperlukan upaya pemberdayaan wanita untuk mengembangkan potensi yang ada. Salah satunya lewat pembentukan kelompok wanita. Kelompok Wanita Tani Dewi Sri menjadi salah satu bentuk usaha pemberdayaan wanita dalam sektor pertanian terkhusus pengembangan anggrek. Dalam keberjalanan pengembangan anggrek, Wanita Tani masih mengalami kendala baik dalam budidaya maupun penjualan. Dengan adanya peran penyuluh pertanian lapang, harapannya mereka dapat mendampingi kelompok Wanita Tani dan membantu memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui persepsi wanita tani terhadap peran penyuluh pertanian lapang dalam pengembangan anggrek di Kelompok Wanita Tani Dewi Sri, Gaum, Tasikmadu, Karanganyar. Metode penentuan sampel dilakukan melalui sampel jenuh dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 30 orang. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji reabilitas, tingkat capaian responden dan uji spearman rank.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan persepsi wanita tani tergolong tinggi terhadap peran penyuluh sebagai motivator, fasiliatator dan tergolong sedang terhadap peran penyuluh sebagai konsultan, komunikator, dan supervisor. Pengembangan anggrek tahap budidaya dan penjualan tergolong dalam kategori sangat rendah. Hasil uji spearman rank (1) terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara persepsi wanita tani terhadap peran penyuluh pertanian lapang sebagai komunikator, supervisor dalam pengembangan anggrek tahap budidaya dan berhubungan yang tidak nyata antara persepsi wanita tani terhadap peran penyuluh pertanian lapang sebagai motivator, fasilitator dan konsultan dalam pengembangan anggrek tahap budidaya. (2) terdapat hubungan sangat nyata  antara persepsi wanita tani terhadap peran penyuluh pertanian lapang sebagai fasilitator dalam pengembangan anggrek tahap penjualan dan berhubungan yang tidak nyata antara persepsi wanita tani terhadap peran penyuluh pertanian lapang sebagai motivator, konsultan, komunikator dan supervisor dalam pengembangan anggrek tahap penjualan
