    SOME RESPONSE OF CORN VARIETY ON ALUMINUM POISONING IN ADDITIONAL PHASE

    Natural factors that often become obstacles in corn production are aluminum (Al) poisoning. Al poisoning is a major limiting factor for plant growth and yield, especially corn plants on dry land that reacts sourly in wet tropical regions.  One other alternative that can be done is by using varieties that are well-adapted to the conditions of Al poisoning. Testing of varieties that are resistant to aluminum poisoning can be obtained by testing the germination phase. That’s phase is a fast alternative because it does not require a long time and environmental conditions can be compared to testing until the vegetative and generative phases.This study aims ware to determine the response of several maize varieties on the germination phase of aluminum poisoning. This research was conducted in June 2019 at the Laboratory of Agronomy and Climatology at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. The experiment used in this study was a single randomized complete design of 5 maize varieties. The treatments used were A = Lamuru, B = Bay Bayur, C = Yellow Srikandi, D = Sukmaraga, E = Bhishma. Observation variables consisted of water content (%), germination (%), vigor index (%), growth rate (% / etmal), root length (cm), plumula length (cm) and normal seed dry weight (g).The results showed that the results of diversity analysis showed that several maize varieties in aluminum stress significantly affected the variable root length and normal seed dry weight, but it did not significantly affect the germination power, index vigor, growth speed, and length of the plumula. Keywords: aluminum, corn, germinatio

    This research is carried on in the Village of Toho Hilir Sub-District Toho Regency Mempawah in three difrent land us, the is Crop, Bare Land and the Community Forest The purpose of this research is to know the Nutrient status of elements N,P,K, C-Organic, AL-Exchangable, CEC and Base Saturation. The point observation of this research using a system of diagonal and random with 5 spot observations of the Crops Cultivated and Forest, with depth 0-30 cm. Result of soil analysis showed that pH of the soil in the Crop Cultivated Land, Bare Land, Community Forest is high C-Organic in Land categorized as low, Bare Land is medium Crop and Community Forest is medium, N-Total in Crop Land is categorized as medium, Bare Land is medium and Community Forest also medium criteria, available phosfor on Crop Land very high, Bare Land high and Community Forest are high criteria, potassium Exchange in Crop Land is categorized as low, Bare Land including low criteria and Community Forest including low criteria, AL-Exchangable in Crop Plant Land very low in criteria, Bare Land very low and Community Forest low, CEC in Crop Land is categorized as low, Bare Land low and Community Forest low and base saturation in Crop Land is categorized as low, Bare Land very low and Community Forest very low.Keywords : Community Forest, Bare Land, Palawija, Soil Chemical Propertie

Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair tandan pisang yang dapat memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil buncis yang terbaik pada tanah gambut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak sejak bulan Juni sampai bulan Agustus 2019. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan pupuk organik cair tandan pisang yang diulang sebanyak 5 kali. Adapun perlakuan yang dimaksud yaitu : p1 = 10% pupuk organik cair tandan pisang, p2 = 15% pupuk organik cair tandan pisang, p3 = 20% pupuk organik cair tandan pisang, p4 = 25% pupuk organik cair tandan pisang, p5 = 30% pupuk organik cair tandan pisang. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu tinggi tanaman, volume akar, berat kering tanaman, jumlah buah per tanaman, berat buah per tanaman, dan panjang buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair tandan pisang memberikan hasil yang sama terhadap seluruh variabel pengamatan. Kata kunci : buncis, gambut, pupuk organik cair tandan pisang

    ABSTRAK  Di Kelurahan Sungai Garam, lahan pasang surut yang di jadikan areal persawahan seluas ±81,65 ha. Persiapan lahan umumnya ada 2 sistem, yaitu dengan pengolahan dan tanpa pengolahan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan sifat fisika tanah yang diolah dan tanpa olah tanah pada lahan pasang surut di kelurahan sungai garam kecamatan singkawang utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Sungai Garam Kecamatan Singkawang Utara Kota Singkawang. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan analisis sifat fisika tanah di Laboratorium Fisika dan Koservasi Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura. Waktu penelitian berlangsung pada 30 maret sampai 24 juli dimulai dari persiapan sampai dengan penyajian hasil dengan lama penelitian ± 4 bulan. Pengamatan di lapangan pada warna tanah baik pada lokasi Olah tanah maupun tanpa olah tanah mendominasi warna kuning kemerahan dengan tekstur liat berdebu dan muka air tanah dari sangat dangkal sampai dangkal, pada lahan olah tanah dan tanpa olah tanah memiliki kandungan pirit yang tinggi, Pada hasil analisis Sifat Fisika tanah secara statistik menunjukan yang berbeda nyata di kedalaman 0-20 cm pada parameter porositas dan kadar air kapasitas lapangan, sedangkan pada kedalaman 20-40 cm pada parameter bobot isi dan porositas.   Kata kunci : sifat fisika tanah, sawah olah dan tanpa olah tanah, lahan pasang surut

    THE EFFECT OF PINEAPPLE COMPOST ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF RED OKRA PLANTS IN RED YELLOW PODSOLIC SOIL

    ABSTRACT            This study aimsed to obtain the best dose of pineapple compost on the growth and yield of red okra on Red Yellow Podsolic soil. This research was conducted from November 1, 2018 to January 24, 2019. The statistical method used was Completely Randomized Design consisted of 5 treatments, 5 replications, a each treatment consisted of 4 sample plants. The treatment were (b1) 400 g / polybag, (b2) 800 g / polybag, (b3) 1,200 g / polybag, (b4) 1, 1,600 g / polybag and (b5) 2,000 g / polybag. The variables observed in this study were chlorophyll leaf (unit velocity), root volume (cm3), total leaf area (cm2) dry weight (g), number of fresh fruit (g) and weight of fresh fruit (g). The results showed that the best dosage of pineapple waste was not found for growth and yield of red okra in Yellow Podsolic soil but the effective dosage was indicated by the provision of pineapple waste bocation 15% dose equivalent to 1,200 g / polybag. Key words: Okra, red yellow podsolic soil, pineapple compos

    THE EFFECT OF THE COMBINATION OF N, P, K AND BIOLOGICAL FERTILIZERS TO THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF RED ONION ON ALLUVIAL SOILS

    This study aims to determine the combination dose of N, P, K and biological fertilizers on the growth and yield of red onion in alluvial soils. This research was conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak, which took place on April 19, 2019 until June 23, 2019. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments, 5 replications, and 4 sample plants. Giving a combination of N, P, K and biological fertilizer that is A1 100% N, P, K + 0% biological, A2 75% N, P, K + 25% biological, A3 50% N, P, K + 50% biological , A4 25% N, P, K + 75% biological, A5 0% N, P, K + 100% biological. Observations made were the number of leaves, plant height, number of tubers, fresh weight of tubers, and dry weight of tubers. The results showed that the combination of N, P, K and biological fertilizers significantly affected the variable number of leaves, plant height, fresh weight of tubers and dry weight of tubers but had no significant effect on the observed variables of number of tubers. Based on the results during the study it can be concluded that the administration of a combination of 50% N, P, K fertilizer and 50% biological fertilizer is a more effective dose than other doses for growth and yield of shallots in alluvial soils. Keywords : Red Onion, NPK Fertilizer, Biofertilizer, Alluvial

    ABSTRACT      Utilization of Alluvial soil as a growth medium, often faced with various limiting factors such as varying levels of fertility, diverse soil acidity, low organic matter content and availability of nutrients, especially nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.The is research was conducted in the Faculty of agriculture experiments station, Tanjungpura University. The Method used in the study was field experiment with complete design of stacaments of oil palm empty fruit bunces compost application. The compost application consists of p1 = 0 g/polybags, p2 = 105 g/polybags, p3 = 155 g/polybags, p4 = 205 g/ polybags, p5 = 255 g/polybags. Each treatment is repeated 4 times and each unit ansist of one melon plant per polybag thus thare was 20 plant for field experiment. The results showed that the compost of palm oil blanks is real effect on the soil pH observation variable, but has no noticeable effect on the absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium plant and dry weight of plants. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that soil pH before treatment is 4.15 (very sour), after given the average treatment of soil pH increases range from 6.10 (somewhat sour)-6.86 (Neutral). Nitogen-Total soil before treatment is 0.72 % (high), after treatment increased to 0.79 %-0.96 % (very high). -Available soil before treatment is 9.67 ppm (very low), after treatment increased to 33.99 ppm (height)–43.17 ppm (very high). Potassium can be exchanged before the treatment of 0.33 cmol (+) kg-1 (medium), after which the treatment is increased to 0.48 cmol (+) kg-1 (medium)–0.81 Cmol (+) kg-1 (high). Based on the results of the research of the average-the highest rate of compost is the effect of oil palm waste for nitrogen absorption, phosphorus, potassium and dry weight of plants in the treatment of P4 (205 g tkks). Azwan (1), Tris Haris Ramadhan (2), Sri Rahayu (2) (1) Mahasiswa Fakultas Pertanian dan (2) Staf Pengajar Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak ABSTRAK Spodoptera litura Fabricius merupakan hama penting pada tanaman karena mempunyai kisaran inang yang luas. Larva S. litura yang mengakibatkan kerugian pada petani sehingga diperlukan pengkajian lebih mendalam tentang biologi serangga Spodoptera litura. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui siklus hidup, nisbah seks (sex ratio), serta keperidian (fekunditas) serangga S. litura pada kondisi stres pemberian pakan buatan di Laboratorium. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama ±4 bulan di Laboratorium Hama Tanaman S. litura dipelihara dalam gelas plastik (kap es). Pakan yang digunakan ialah pakan yang berbahan Phaseolus vulgaris L. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen berupa rancangan acak lengkap 1 faktor yaitu terdiri dari 5 perlakuan pemberian pakan buatan dan 50 kali diulang. Hasil penelitian pada pakan buatan Phaseolus vulgaris L dengan jumlah yang berbeda menunjukkan kecenderungan semakin banyak pakan yang dimakan akan memperpendek masa hidup artinya dengan semakin tercukupinya pakan fase hidup serangga cenderung lebih cepat. Pada nisbah sex ratio keadaan makanan tercukupi maka perbandingan antara jantan dan betina akan seimbang, tetapi ketika makanan tidak tercukupi maka perbandingan kelamin pada keadaaan itu hampir seluruhnya terdiri atas serangga jantan. Fekunditas S. litura dipengaruhi faktor kuantitas makanan yang dikonsumsi serangga terhadap proses reproduksinya, semakin banyak jumlah makanan yang dikonsumsinya akan menghasilkan kelompok telur dan jumlah telur yang banyak. Rata rata berat larva menunjukkan masa hidup larva setiap instar yang tercukupi makanannya masa hidupnya semakin cepat. Kata kunci : Biologi, Pakan buatan, Phaseolus vulgaris L., S. litura.     Response Growth And Yield Of Sweet Corn Cultivated On Peat Soil As Influence Of Coffee Skin Ash And Cow Manure Application

    The research is aimed to determine the effect of ash and cow manure on growth and yield of sweet corn cultivated on peat soil. Ash applied in this study was prepared from coffee skin. The research was carried out from April 8 to July 19, 2019,This research was conducted in Pontianak West Kalimantan. The experiment is arranged  according to factorial randomize block design with two factors, i.e., dosage of ash (Factor A) and dosage of cow manure (Factor B). Factor A consists of three levels is, a1 (30 ton/ha equivalent to 15 kg/plot), a2 (40 ton/ha equivalent to 20 kg/plot), a3 (50 ton/ha equivalent to 25 kg/plot) and factor B also consists of b1 (10 ton/ha equivalent to 5 kg/plot), b2 (20 ton/ha equivalent to 10 kg/plot), b3 (30 kg/ha equivalent to 15 kg/plot). Each treatments is replicated 4 times, and each of this experimental unit has 8 sample crops. The results showed that the applicaros of 50 ton/ha of coffee husk ash and 30 ton/ha of beef cattle fertilizer was the best dose togrowth and yield of sweet corn on peat soil.  Keywords: cow manure, coffee husk ash, peat soil, sweet corn

    PENGARUH KOMBINASI LIMBAH PADAT BIOGAS DAN PUPUK ANORGANIK TERHADAP KETERSEDIAAN UNSUR HARA N,P,K DAN HASIL TANAMAN SELADA PADA TANAH ALLUVIAL

    ABSTRAK Selada Lactuca sativa L merupakan salah satu tanaman sayuran dari famili Compositae. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui ketersediaan unsur hara N,P,K dan subtitusi limbah padat biogas terhadap pupuk anorganik di tanah Aluvial pada tanaman selada. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di Desa Bakau Besar Laut, Kabupaten Mempawah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini yaitu metode eksperimen lapangan dengan pola rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan limbah padat biogas, perlakuan yang dimaksud : P0 = 100% NPK, P1 = 75% NPK + 25% LPB, P2= 50% NPK + 50% LPB, P3= 25% NPK + 75 % LPB, dan P4 = 100% LPB. Masing – masing perlakuan diulang 5 kali, dan setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari satu tanaman perpolibag sehingga jumlah polibag yang di gunakan 25. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian limbah padat biogas berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan ketersediaan unsur hara P, K, dan C organik, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap unsur hara N, pH Tanah dan Berat basah tanaman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Pada perlakuan P1,P2,P3 dan P4 mampu mensubtitusi penggunaan pupuk anorganik, dan perlakuan P4 penambahan 600 gram limbah padat biogas menunjukan ketersediaan C-Organik, N-Total, P-Tersedia dan K dapat dipertukarkan paling tinggi diantara perlakuan lainya, sehingga penambahan limbah padat biogas sudah mampu menggantikan penggunaan pupuk anorganik namun pada hasil tanaman selada menunjukan bahwa perlakuan P2 (50% NPK + 50% LPB) memberikan hasil berat basah tanaman paling tinggi diantara tanaman lainya, sehingga mensubtitusi 50% penggunaan pupuk anorganik dengan limbah padat biogas mampu meningkatkan produktivitas hasil tanaman selada di tanah aluvial.. kata kunci : Limbah Padat Biogas, Selada, Tanah Aluvia
