    THE EFFECT OF MANURE AND NITROGEN FERTILIZER COMBINATION ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF SPRING ONION IN PEAT SOIL

    This study aimed to find the best combination of manure and Urea fertilizer dosage on the growth and yield of spring onions on peatsoil. This research took place from February 7 - April 8, 2019 and was located on Jalan Parit Haji Muksin II Kubu Raya. This study used an experimental method Completely Randomized Design, consisting of types of manure combined with N fertilizer consisting of 6 levels of treatment, encoded A (chicken manure + Urea 100 kg / ha), B (chicken manure + Urea 200 kg / ha), C (chicken manure + Urea 300 kg / ha), D (cow manure + Urea 100 kg / ha), E (cow manure + Urea 200 kg / ha), F (cow manure + Urea 300 kg / ha). Each treatment were repeated 4 times so that there were 24 expermental units whith  4 samples per replication so that the total of plant number were 96 plants. The observation variables in this study were plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, root volume, leaf dry weight, root dry weight, fresh leaf weight. Observations were also made on the environmental conditions of the study, such as rainfall, air temperature, humidity. The results showed that the administration of manure and N fertilizer with a dose of chicken manure 20 tons / ha and 100 kg / ha Urea was an effective dose on the average of each observation variable of leeks on peat soil. Keywords: spring onion, manure, N fertilizer and peat

    Margaritifera sp shells can be found in the irrigation channel of Sambora Village. Clams are filter feeders groups or animals that take food by filtering water. The irrigation water flow in Sambora Village contains a substrate of muddy sand and sandy mud. This research aims to determine the morphometric characteristics and growth patterns as well as density of shells in the irrigation channel of Sambora Village, Toho Sub-district, Mempawah District. It used a purposive random sampling method. This research was conducted in March-May 2020 and the research location was divided into 3 stations. It found a total of 801 Margaritifera sp shells. All characteristics of average shell length (PC), shell height (TC), shell thickness (TBL), and total weight (BT) showed varying sizes between males and females in which the female has greater sizes than the male. The relationship between shell length and the total weight is in the range of b <3 which shows a negative allometry growth pattern. The density values ranged from 1.22 - 3.02 ind/m2. The density between stations was different with the highest at station II and the lowest at station I. The asymptotic length (L∞) of Margaritifera sp reached 126.97 mm for females and 121.42 mm for males.Keywords: Morphometric, Growth Pattern, Density, Margaritifera s

    The diversification of donut making from wheat flour and breadfruit paste formulations has been carried out. This study was aimed to determine the best formulations of wheat flour and breadfruit paste on properties of physicochemical. The experiment was designed using Rendomized Block Design with one factor formulation of wheat flour : breadfruit paste (100:0 g, 90:10 g, 80:20 g, 70:30 g, 60:40 g, 50:50 g). The best result of the study showed formulation of wheat flour and breadfruit paste 60% : 40% which is moisture content (26.47%), ash content (1.85%), fat content (14.33%), protein content (7.29%), carbohydrate content (50.89%), and improving degree (12.57%)

    ABSTRACT It has been widely known that the Indonesian enormous fish diversity has reached over 300 species of both breams and sea breams (DKP, 2007). The diversity itself, based on LIPI (2010) has contained about 4000-6000 species all over the territorial waters. There are over 2917 species of breams identified in South East Asia (Kottelat et al 1993). This study is aimed at investigating the diversity of species of hauls of the trawl fishermen on fish disembarkation in Muara Kakap. The method of the study is purposive random sampling with random interviewee. The data was collected as primary and secondary data. The primary data was the fishermen hauls including the number and type. The secondary data was the number of regular hauls, annual hauls, decreasing hauls, the caught-hauls data from Marine and Fisheries Office of West Kalimantan Province as well as the data of rainfall and tide from BMKG. This study was conducted on March until May 2019. Based on the research findings, obtained 26 species of 21 families. 5 species of daily hauls are gelame ketupat (Nibea soldado), ikan selangat (Anodotosma chacunda), ikan gelame bungketo (Pennahia anea), ikan belanak (Mugil dussumieri). The biggest of family Scianidae were found 3 species while Lutjanidae 2 species. The diversity index during the study (H’) was 2,47 classified as average while domination index (C) was 0,12 which means none of the species are dominating. Keywords: Species Composition, District, Scianidae, Lutjanida

    Ultisols has an advanced degree of development, characterized by deep profil, increase of clay fraction along with the depth of soil, soil acidity, and low base saturation. Low pH, low nutrient elements such as nitrogen, phosphor, and potassium, low availability of organic carbon, Ca, Mg, Na, cation exchange capacity (CEC), base saturation are the characteristic of post bauxite mining land. The land that was formerly bauxite mining process by removing of a layer of top soil until the layer that contains the seeds of bauxite called post bauxite mining land. Coastal sediment is sediment which contains quite high micro nutrients with low CEC so by the addition of coastal sediment expected to increase base saturation and soil fertility. Cow manure is one of the alternative to improve the fertility of the soil. This study get analyzed by Complete Randomize Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. A Treatment (control), B treatment (1.5 kg coastal sediment + 2.5 kg of manure), C treatment (2.4 kg coastal sediment + 4 kg of manure), the last D treatment (3.3 kg coastal sediment + manure). This research analyzed with the F test, if significant continued with Tukey’s Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at the 5% level to obtain the difference between treatments. Based on the result, combination of Coastal sediment and cow manure from the C treatment (2.4 kg coastal sediment + 4 kg manure) able to increase pH of soil up to 6.68, which is the highest pH among the other treatments. Keywords : Ultisols, coastal sediment, cow manure, bauxite mining

    ABSTRACTThe study aims to obtain the best composition of growing media for the growth of yellow pump plants plants. The research began from November 9, 2018 to January 9, 2019. The research was conducted at Jl. Purnama Agung VII, Komplek Pondok Agung Permata, Parit tokaya Village, South Pontianak. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments, 5 replications and for each replication there were 4 plant samples. The treatment are as follows: (m1) alluvial soil: cow manure : sand (2: 1: 1), (m2) alluvial soil: cocopeat: sand (2: 1: 1), (m3) alluvial soil: husk charcoal: sand ( 2: 1: 1), (m4) alluvial soil: cow manure: cocopeat: sand (2: ½: ½: 1) and (m5) alluvial soil: cow manure: husk charcoal: sand (2: ½: ½: 1 ) The variables observed in this study were Root Volume (cm3), Leaf Area (cm2), Fresh Weight (g) and Plant Dry Weight (g). The results shows that the composition of growing media contained cow manure provided a better for variable plant dry weight growth response compared to the composition of the growing media without cow manure. Keywords: Alluvial soil, Cocopeat , Cow manure, Growing media, Husk charcoal, Pumpkin

    PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL KAILAN PADA TANAH PODSOLIK MERAH KUNING Antonius Tomy Heatubun(1),Eddy Santoso(2),Maulidi(2),(1)Mahasiswa Fakultas Pertanian dan(2)Dosen Fakultas Pertanian Universitas TanjungpuraPontianak ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian bokasi isi rumen sapi dan mencari dosis terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan kailan pada tanah podsolik merah kuning. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari tanggal 29 september  2018 - 29 november 2018. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri dari empat sampel tanaman. Perlakuan yang dimaksud yaitu bokasi isi rumen sapi dengan dosis 386 g/polybag setara dengan 5% bahan organik (b1), 717 g/polybag setara dengan 8% bahan organik (b2), 1.048 g/polybag setara dengan 11% bahan organik (b3), 1.379 g/polybag setara dengan 14% bahan organik (b4) dan 1.710 g/polybag setara dengan 17% bahan organik (b5). Variabel pengamatan meliputi : jumlah daun, kadar klorofil, volume akar, luas daun, berat kering tanaman, dan berat segar tanaman. Hasil analisis keragaman pemberian berbagai dosis bokasi isi rumen sapi memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata terhadap komponen pertumbuhan tanaman kailan pada tanah podsolik merah kuning yaitu variabel kadar klorofil daun, volume akar, dan berat kering tanaman, tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap komponen hasil tanaman kailan pada tanah podsolik merah kuning yaitu jumlah daun,  berat segar tanaman dan luas daun. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan dosis Bokasi isi rumen sapi yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil kailan pada tanah podsolik merah kuning yaitu dosis 1.048 g/polybag setara dengan 11% bahan organik.Kata Kunci :bokasi isi rumen sapi, kailan, podsolik merah kuning  

    THE STUDY OF FORMULATION COCONUT MILK AND AGAR IN MAKING OF KERIBANG (Dioscorea alata) ICE CREAM

    This research was aimed to determine the best characteristic of formulation coconut milk and agar in making of keribang (Dioscorea alata) ice cream. The experimental designed using Randomized Block Design (RBD) wich is consist two factor of coconut milk (200g, 250g, 300g) and agar (3g, 4g, 5g), each treatment was replicated three times. The measured parameters were phisycal, chemical, and sensory characteristics. The data of Phisycal and chemical were analyzed statistically using ANOVA (α=5%) and HSD Test (α=5%) and sensory test was analyzed by Kruskal Wallis. The best treatment was determined by using method of effectiveness index.  The result showed keribang ice cream with addition of coconut milk 250g and Agar 4g was the best treatment with chemical characteristics were fat content 27.84%, protein content 1.70%, total dissolved solids 20.80°brix, Physical characteristics were overrun 20.55%, high-speed melting 25.19 minutes, and sensory values resulted of taste 5.40 (like), texture 5.23 (like), color 5.53 (like very much), aroma 4.70 (like)

    Diversity of Fishermen Catches in Fishing Port of Sungai Raya Kepulauan in Bengkayang District

    Sungai Raya Kepulauan Sub-district is a coastal area located on the north coast of West Kalimantan bordered by the South China Sea and Natuna Sea. This sub-district has three Fishing Port namely, TPI Sungai Keran, TPI Sungai Raya, and TPI Karimunting. This research aims to identify the diversity index, uniformity index, dominance index, and composition of fishermen catches in TPI Sungai Raya Kepulauan, Bengkayang District. It used census method for the determination of collectors. The research was conducted in October - January 2020. The research found that the catches in TPI Sungai Raya Kepulauan covered of 34 fish species consisting of 17 families, namely Aridae, Balistidae, Caesionidae, Clupeidae, Dasyatidae, Gymnuridae, Haemulidae, Lethridae, Lethridae , Lutjanidae, Mullidae, Nemipteridae, Polynemidae, Rachycentridae, Scombridae, Serranidae, and Sphyraenidae with a total of 4991 fishes. The composition of fish species in the three stations was the highest, namely mackerel fish (Rastrelliger kanagurta) 10.82%, kerisi fish (Nemipterus furcocus) 9.84% and geronggong  fish (Megalasfis cordyla) 8.76%.The diversity index (H’) covered moderate to high categories with a value of 2.947 – 3.079, while the uniformity index value ranges from 0.850 –0.886 in the high category. The last, the dominance index (C) value ranges from 0.059 – 0.069 in the low category

    DAMPAK BIOCHAR PLUS DAN MASA INKUBASI TERHADAP KANDUNGAN NPK TANAH GAMBUT

    ABSTRAKBiochar merupakan produk pirolisis yang dihasilkan dari proses pembakaran dari bahan baku tertentu dengan suhu 300 – 600oC dengan suplai oksigen terbatas dan atau tanpa oksigen sama sekali. Inkubasi ditujukan agar reaksi bahan organik dan tanah dapat bejalan dengan baik, oleh karena itu perlakuan inkubasi sangat perlu diperhatikan agar nantinya unsur hara dapat tersedia bagi tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh biochar plus terhadap sifat-sifat kimia tanah gambut pada masa inkubasi yang berbeda dan mencari masa inkubasi terbaik terhadap ketersediaan hara tanah yang diberi perlakuan biochar plus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Kompos Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan, masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali, dan 3 jenis perlakuan decomposer sehingga jumlah polybag yang digunakan 54. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa N total tanah sebelum perlakuan yaitu 0,46 % (sedang), setelah diberikan perlakuan meningkat berkisar 1,11 (sangat tinggi). P tersedia sebelum perlakuan yaitu 12,02  ppm (rendah), setelah diberikan perlakuan meningkat berkisar 294,77 ppm (sangat tinggi). K tersedia sebelum perlakuan 0,12 (cmol (+) kg-1) (rendah), setelah diberikan perlakuan meningkat berkisar 1,20 (cmol (+) kg-1) (sangat tinggi). Perlakuan biochar plus dan masa inkubasi memberikan pengaruh terhadap sifat-sifat kimia tanah gambut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian rata-rata statistik yang terbaik terhadap sifat-sifat kimia tanah gambut terdapat pada perlakuan P1 (Biochar Sekam Padi (750 g) + Dekomposer Beka (13,6 ml.ha-1) + Lumpur Laut (500 g) + Kompos Tankos (500 g) + NPK  (300 kg.ha-1) pada masa inkubasi 4 minggu. Kata kunci : Biochar Plus, Masa Inkubasi, Sifat-Sifat Kimia Tanah, Tanah Gambut
