    PENGARUH KOMBINASI BIOCHAR LIMBAH KAYU DAN PUPUK KANDANG SAPI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TERUNG KENARI DI TANAH GAMBUT

    Biochar adalah arang hitam hasil dari proses pemanasan biomassa pada keadaan oksigen terbatas atau tanpa oksigen, yang berperan sebagai penyedia karbon dan sebagai pengganti bahan organik, dapat menjaga kelembaban tanah, dan membantu menyerap air dan menjerap unsur hara. Biochar juga meningkatkan ketersediaan hara mikro dan makro serta menjadi penyedia ekologi bagi pertumbuhan mikroorganisme. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dosis pemberian kombinasi biochar limbah kayu dan pupuk kandang yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil terung kenari yang terbaik di tanah gambut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Lahan Penelitian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura, Kalimantan Barat dan berlangsung selama tiga bulan (April 2019 sampai Agustus 2019). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 6 macam perlakuan dan 4 ulangan dengan 4 sampel tanaman. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah kombinasi dosis biochar limbah kayu dan pupuk kandang sapi yaitu 5 ton/ha biochar limbah kayu + 7,5 ton/ha pupuk kandang sapi (A), 5 ton/ha biochar limbah kayu + 15 ton/ha pupuk kandang sapi (B), 10 ton/ha biochar limbah kayu + 7,5 ton/ha pupuk kandang sapi (C), 10 ton/ha biochar limbah kayu + 15 ton/ha pupuk kandang sapi (D), 15 ton/ha biochar limbah kayu + 7,5 pupuk kandang sapi (E), dan 15 ton/ha biochar limbah kayu + 15 ton/ha pupuk kandang sapi (F). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kombinasi biochar limbah kayu dan pupuk kandang sapi di tanah gambut berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 4 MST akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada variabel lainnya.     Budidaya tanaman jagung di tanah gambut dihadapkan pada masalah fisik dan kimia tanah yang kurang baik. Pemberian biochar sekam padi dan pupuk NPK pada tanah gambut diharapkan dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik dan kimia tanah sehingga pertumbuhan tanaman jagung dapat lebih optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui takaran dosis kombinasi terbaik antara biochar sekam padi dan pupuk NPK untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lahan Petani di Desa Rasau Jaya II Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya dimulai sejak tanggal 12 Mei - 9 Agustus Tahun 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan faktorial Rancangan Acak Kelompok  dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dan setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali dan terdapat 6 tanaman sampel. Faktor pertama yaitu biochar sekam padi (b1=  5 ton/ha, b2= 10 ton/ha, b3= 15 ton/ha), dan faktor kedua pupuk NPK (p1= 400 kg/ha, p2= 300 , p3= 200 kg/ha). Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, kadar klorofil daun, berat kering tanaman, luas daun total, volume akar, berat tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol dan berat tongkol per petak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan biochar sekam padi berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun. Perlakuan pupuk NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel klorofil daun, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat tongkol berkelobot, dan panjang tongkol. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pemberian 10 ton/ha biochar sekam padi disertai dengan dosis pupuk NPK 200 kg/ha merupakan dosis yang efisien dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung yang baik pada tanah gambut. Kata Kunci : Biochar, Gambut, Jagung, Pupuk NPK, Sekam Pad

    Entomopathogenic nematodes are types of biological agents that live on the ground. The population can decrease exposure to chemicals in the form of pesticides that are too frequent. This study aims to determine the population density of EPN on peat land used for horticultural agriculture with the intensity of application of low, medium, and high pesticides (PI). The design of this study uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 preparations, and 15 replications, so that 45 samples will be obtained. Research parameters regarding bait insect mortality, population of NEP / ml, collection of NEP morphology, biochemical collection of bacterial symbionts, and soil analysis.             The results showed that the highest PI was 51.7%, the lowest NEP density was 551 JI / ml and the lowest NEP diversity was only Steinernema carpocapsae. While on medium PI land and low PI land. mortality larvae reached 80.67 % and 78.7 %, and populations of 1.112 JI /ml and 752 JI / ml. The highest diversity was found in the medium PI land with two types of NEP, namely Steinernema carpocapsae and Heterorhabditis bacteriophora.     Uji Toleransi Bayam Merah Terhadap Cekaman Salinitas

    This research aimed to know level of tolerance red spinach to salinity stress. This research was conducted in Pontianak from July 9th to August 2nd 2019. The method used was the completely randomized design (CRD). Comprised of 6 concentration level. Concentration level was the: 0, 2.000, 4.000, 6.000, 8.000 and 10.000 ppm. The variables observed in this research were fresh weight, root volume, leaf area, root dry weight and shoot dry weight. The results showed that the red spinach was tolerance the salinity stress of 8.000 ppm NaCl but the more salt accumulation increased the stunted growth.     The Effect of Concentrations Coconut Water on Growth and Yield Plant Cutting of Mint

    This study aims to determine the best concentration of coconut water on growth and yield plan cutting of mint. This study held from on February 25st to April 25th 2019. The research was conducted in Purnama Agung VII, Komplek Pondok Agung Permata, South Pontianak. The method use is  randomized completely design of one factor,the treatment consisted of 5 treatments, namely  (p1 = concentrations of  coconut water 0%, p2 = concentrations of  coconut water 12,5%, p3 = concentrations of  coconut water 25%, p4 = concentrations of  coconut water 37,5%, p5 = concentrations of  coconut water 50%,) all treatmets were repeated 5 times, each treatment consisting of 4 plant samples. The results showed that the concentrations of  25% coconut water was the best concentration for improving yield of cuttings of mint plants.  Keywords: Coconut Water, Plant Cutting of Mint

    This research was conducted to determine the best combination of AB-mix and fermented kosarin for growth and yield of spring onion grown hidroponic. This research was carred out in the research field of Agriculture Faculty, Tanjungpura University Pontianak which took place from February 27th, until April 19th, 2019. The method of this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 5 treatments, 5 replitions, and 3 sampling units plants. The combination of inorganic nutrients and fermented cow’s urine were A = 1 ml/l Ab Mix good plant + 90 ml/l Kosarin, B = 2 ml/l Ab Mix good plant + 70 ml/l Kosarin, C = 3 ml/l Ab Mix good plant + 50 ml/l Kosarin, D = 4 ml/l Ab Mix good plant + 30 ml/l Kosarin dan 5 = ml/l Ab Mix good plant + 10ml/l Kosarin. Variabel observations in this research were plant height, leaves of each clump, total tillers of clump, plants fresh weight, root volume, plants dried weight. On the results of this study shoured that there not found the best combination of nutrition AB-Mix goodplant and the best fermented beef urine for growth and yield spring onion. Penggambilan sampel penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Boti Kecamatan Sekadau Hulu Kabupaten Sekadau. Parameter pengamatan dalam penelitian adalah warna tanah, struktur tanah, reaksi tanah (pH), KTK, N-Total, P-Total, K-Total, kejenuhan basa (KB), C-Organik, K-dd, kejenuhan Al, kalsium (Ca) dan magnesiun (Mg). Hasil analisis pada beberapa penggunaan lahan adalah ; reaksi tanah (pH) berkisar 4,31-5,46 dengan kriteria sangat masam dan sedang, KTK tanah berkisar 9,44 cmol(+)kg-1 - 12,26 cmol(+)kg-1 dengan kriteria rendah, kejenuhan basa (KB) berkisar 23,33% - 37,38% dendan kriteria rendah dan sedang, C-Organik berkisar 1,96% - 2,37% dengan kriteria sedang dan rendah, Nitrogen (N-Total) berkisar 0,26% - 0,33% dengan kriteria sedang, P-Tersedia dan P-Total berkisar 4,64 ppm - 48,88 ppm dan 48,6 mg/100g – 56,5 mg/100g dengan kriteria tinggi, K-Total dan K-dd berkisar 11,25 mg/100g - 24,42 mg/100g dan 0,10 cmol(+)kg-1 - 0,17 cmol(+)kg-1 dengan kriteria rendah dan sedang, kejenuhan Al berkisar 1,16-6,03 cmol kg-1 dengan kriteria rendah, Ca dan Mg berkisar 1,63 cmol(+)kg-1 - 2,97 cmol(+)kg-1 dan 0,70cmol(+)kg-1 - 0,83 cmol(+)kg-1 dengan kriteria sangat rendah dan rendah, Bobot Isi Tanah berkisar 0,73 gram/cm3 - 0,89 gram/cm3 dendan kriteria rendah dan status kesuburan tanah masing-masing lahan penelitian memiliki kriteria rendah

    This study aimed to obtain the best phosphate fertilizer dosage on the growth and yield of tomato on peat soil.  The experient was conducted from 15th November 2018 – 31st January 2019 in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak.  This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with one factor SP-36 phosphate fertilizer treatment consisting of 5 treatment levels, and 5 replications and each treatment consisted of 4 plant samples, so that there were 100 plants.  The treatment in question is: p1 = 1.5 g / polybag equivalent to 100 kg / ha, p2 = 2.3 g / polybag equivalent to 150 kg / ha, p3 = 3 g / polybag equivalent to 200 kg / ha, p4 = 3  , 8 g / polybag is equivalent to 250 kg / ha and p5 = 4.5 g / polybag is equivalent to 300 kg / ha.  The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), root volume (cm3), plant dry weight (g), number of fruits per plant (fruit), weight per fruit (g), weight of fruit per plant (g).  The results showed that the aplication of various SP-36 phosphate fertilizers gave the same result on all observation variables.  However, it has a significant effect on root volume.  The dosage of Phosphate SP-36 fertilizer has a better effect of 3 g / polybag equivalent to 200 kg / ha. Keyword : SP-36 Phosphate Fertilizer, Tomato, Peat Soi

    This study aims to determine the morphometry of the Goat Goat which is maintained intensively in Rasau Jaya III Village, Rasau Jaya District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The variables observed were chest circumference, chest width, chest depth, shoulder height, hip height, body length and body weight. The results showed that adult male breast circumference was 74.53 ± 6.99 cm and adult female was 72.36 ± 6.43 cm. adult male chest width 20.93 ± 4.54 cm and adult female 19.71 ± 6.94 cm, in adult male chest 30.73 ± 3.67 cm and adult female 28.93 ± 6.17 cm, shoulder height adult males 60.47 ± 3.70 cm and adult females 66.43 ± 5.37 cm, adult male hip height 63.33 ± 4.02 cm and adult females 64.79 ± 6.61 cm, adult male body length 67 , 27 ± 5.28 cm and adult female 76.07 ± 6.73 cm, adult male body weight 30.06 ± 4.50 kg and adult female 27.8 ± 10.0 kg.     Buah mengkudu segar kaya akan nutrisi dan komponen aktif serta mengandung kadar air tinggi. Tingginya kadar air mengakibatkan masa simpan yang singkat, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengeringan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi metode dan suhu pengeringan terhadap aktivitas antioksidan irisan buah mengkudu. Metode pengeringan menggunakan tiga metode, yaitu metode konvensional, metode adsorpsi dan metode sirkulasi, sedangkan suhu pengeringan yaitu 50 °C, 57 °C dan 65 °C. Analisa data untuk asam askorbat, total flavonoid, dan aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan ANOVA (α=5%) dan uji BNJ (α=5%), sedangkan lama pengeringan dianalisa secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi dengan metode konvensional pada suhu 50 ºC yaitu sebesar 34% dengan karakteristik asam askobat sebesar 52,8 mg/100g buah mengkudu kering, total flavonoid sebesar 3,81 mg QE/g buah mengkudu kering, dan lama pengeringan selama 18 jam.Kata kunci: adsorben, antioksidan, mengkudu, pengeringan, suh
