Impact of management practices on the income of transmigrant farmers in Wonosari, Gorontalo
The transmigration program aims to improve welfare, mainly through wet rice farming. This research objectives are: 1) To analyze the management of wet rice farming in transmigration areas; 2) To analyze the income of wet rice farming in transmigration areas; and 3) To analyze the influence of management and other factors on the income of wet rice farmers in transmigration areas. A quantitative descriptive research method was employed, with sampling conducted through purposive sampling. The study identified two management models used by wet rice farmers. Model 1 employed the jajar legowo planting pattern, utilizing irrigation and labor from within and outside the family. Model 2 applied the tabela planting pattern, relying on both irrigation and borehole irrigation, and predominantly employs labor from outside the family. The average income of rice farmers in Model 1 was IDR 3,278,446.21 per planting cycle, while in Model 2, it was IDR 1,797,150.33. Analysis of the milk supply chain of livestock farmer groups in Gunung Pati District, Semarang Regency
The aim of this research is to determine the supply chain system, margins and marketing efficiency of dairy cow’s milk in Gunung Pati. This research was conducted in February-March 2024. The location of this research was determined purposively with the consideration that Gunung Pati District is a dairy cattle business center with great potential. The respondents in this study were the entire population of the three largest Farmer’s Groups (KTT) in Gunung Pati District, namely 68 dairy farmers consisting of KTT Rejeki Lumintu, KTT Sido Makmur and KTT Rukun Makmur. This research analysis method is descriptive in nature to describe the location and type of marketing channels. The results of the research show that the marketing margin and marketing efficiency it is good, this can be seen from farmers who get more than 50% of the profit, so the farmer’s profits are quite large
Factors influencing Indonesian organic certification rice consumption (case study of PT. Berkah Dua Agri and Agriwira Mandiri Sejahtera)
Organic rice is rice that has the benefit of being a high source of carbohydrates and having health benefits, being fluffier and delicious to eat. Organic certification for agricultural products has a very important meaning in gaining consumer trust. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the consumption of organic rice with Indonesian Organic certification and analyze which factors have the most dominant influence on the consumption of organic rice with Indonesian Organic certification. The basic method is quantitative descriptive with purposive location determination with a total of 60 respondents. The location of this research was carried out at PT Berkah Dua Agri and Agriwira Mandiri Sejahtera. This location was determined because the research location provides organic rice with Indonesian Organic certification and has direct access to consumers who will be used as samples. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that the price of organic rice, number of family members and tastes have a negative influence on the consumption of organic rice with Indonesian organic certification. The price of complementary goods and the price of substitute goods have a positive influence. The income variable has no effect. The most dominant factors are the prices of complementary goods and the prices of substitute good
Consumer preferences for cut roses in Surakarta
This research aims to determine the combination of attributes that are most popular with consumers of cut roses in the city of Surakarta. The research was conducted at several traditional markets, flower shops and florists in the city of Surakarta in August - September 2023. The research used survey, interview and questionnaire methods with 100 respondents as consumers of cut roses, and sampling was carried out by accident. Research data was analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The research results showed that the highest attribute importance value was color at 31%, followed by the aroma attribute at 30%, stem length at 21%, and stem stiffness at 16%. The combination of attributes most preferred by consumers when buying cut roses is red, strong scent, long stem and tough. These attributes can be used by traders or producers to provide products that suit consumer desires
Analysis of the organic rice market structure in Lampung Province
This study aims to determine the comparative advantage and competitive advantage of organic rice in Lampung Province. The research locations were in Punggur District, Central Lampung District, Pardasuka District and Pringsewu District, Pringsewu District. This research was conducted using survey methods and interviews with farmers using a prepared questionnaire. Respondents in this study amounted to 35 farmers who were selected deliberately using purposive sampling by the research objectives. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. To answer the analysis objective, the Price Transmission Elasticity and the Herfindahl Hirschman Index (IHH) Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) is used. The results showed that the market structure for the organic rice business in Lampung Province was oligopsony, as evidenced by the transmission elasticity value of 0.01151. the concentration ratio and market share results were 0.89 and 99.06%, which means that the value of the ratio concentration criteria was 70%, so that the organic rice market concentration in Lampung Province can be said to be high concentration oligopsony
The influence of farmers' knowledge of the jajar legowo planting system on rice production
The Legowo row planting system is a method of rice cultivation with several rows separated by one empty row. This research aims to determine the influence of farmers' knowledge and skills in applying the Legowo row planting system on rice production. A quantitative descriptive method was used with 112 rice farmers who have implemented the system in Landak Regency. Data analysis was performed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) model with SMART PLS 3.0 software. The results show that rice production using the Legowo planting system is significantly influenced by knowledge factors, including training levels and innovation adoption, and skill factors, including procedures and water management. These factors significantly impact rice production for farmers implementing the Legowo system
Strategy of BUMDes development through ecotourism in Madura using analytical hierarchy process (AHP)
Madura has significant potential for fostering institutions rooted in local wisdom, particularly Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). Strengthening the performance of BUMDes is crucial to enhancing their role as drivers of the tourism sector and creative economy in the region. Amidst increasing competition with other business entities, strategic planning is essential to position BUMDes favorably in the market, ensuring their sustainability and contribution to local economic growth. One effective approach to formulating these strategies is through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This study aims to identify and analyze strategic priorities for developing BUMDes through ecotourism in Madura. Respondents in the study included stakeholders such as representatives from the Tourism Office, academics, BUMDes managers, and village heads. The research was conducted at two prominent tourist destinations: Labuhan Mangrove Beach Edu-tourism in Bangkalan Regency and Somber Raje Tourism in Sumenep Regency. The results indicate the following: 1. priority criteria for determining BUMDes development strategies are the optimization of village potential and the strengthening of institutional capacity; 2. priority strategies include mapping and leveraging village resources while revitalizing BUMDes institutions to improve their effectiveness and sustainability. These findings offer a structured framework for sustainable ecotourism development in Madura, emphasizing the integration of local resources and institutional empowerment to maximize the impact of BUMDes in fostering regional growth
Analysis of green economy development strategy priorities in Madura using analytic network process approach
The purpose of the study is to analyze the priorities of the Green Economy development strategy on Madura Island. Using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) Approach. Along with the rapid economic development supported by industrial developments and sophisticated technology brings many changes to nature which ultimately cause climate change or Climate Change this can occur due to an increase in temperature on the earth's surface. quantitative research approach with the Analytic Network Process-Super Decisions method, the primary data used is obtained directly sourced from expert respondents, academic experts, policy experts and practitioners as direct actors. The results show that the analysis of strategy priorities results in the main choice of strategies that encourage regulation of fossil fuel use, monitoring of environmental activities, green sector tax incentives, and the passage of nature convergence regulations
How fishermen respond threat of climate change: empirical evidence in East Java
This research investigated how shrimp farmers perceive climate change and what factors influence their decision to implement adaptation strategies. Surveys were conducted with 150 households in Tambakan, Kalianyar, Raci 1, and Raci 2. Over the past five years, information about climate change has primarily reached farmers through radio and television (54%). The majority (96.21%) perceived climate change as manifested by altered rainfall patterns, rising pond water temperatures (98.71%), declining production yields (95.41%), and an increase in shrimp pests and diseases (96.23%). The researchers classified climate change adaptation strategies into four categories and used logit regression analysis to identify factors influencing their adoption. They found that the determinants of adoption varied across these categories. Based on these findings, the study concludes that raising awareness about the impact of climate change on shrimp farming is crucial for farmers to choose suitable adaptation strategies. Additionally, strengthening institutional support through improved access to association borrowing, markets, extension services, farm group activities, and use of climate-resistant shrimp varieties can contribute to increased farm production
Characteristics of farmers and marketing strategies of citrus fruits west miomaffo district
The main obstacles in citrus fruit farming in West Miomaffo District are education, farmer experience, age, marketing aspects are factors in the problem of decreasing production and farmer income. The purpose of the study is a marketing strategy for citrus fruits through a characteristic approach of farmers. Data collection in the form of primary, secondary data and FGD methods. The analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results showed (1) the characteristics of male farmers had a percentage of 56%, age 35%, family dependents 59%, elementary school education level of 60%, farming experience of 34%, and land area of 56%. (2) citrus fruit marketing strategies; 1) products consist of, product range, quality, and size; 2) price; price lists, discounts, payment periods and immediate terms; 3) promotions; sales promotion, public relations, and direct marketing; 4) premises; channels, coverage, location, and transportation. The conclusion of the research is that by increasing farmer education and expanding land area, it can improve quality, size, price, expand marketing channels and have a wider scope of marketing locations
