Parental Discipline Patterns on Children in Penjaringan Slums : Gambaran Pola Disiplin Orang Tua terhadap Anak di Kawasan Kumuh Penjaringan
This research aimed to describe the discipline pattern that the parents had on their children. This research was held in slum area of Penjaringan in DKI Jakarta. Total of 154 people became the participant in this research. This was a descriptive study that wish to explore the discipline pattern that parents implemented to their children. Along with that we also explored about communication pattern and relation in family. We used questioners for information gathering and implemented observation, interview and small group discussion. To analyze the data, we used describtive statistical analysis technique and qualitative analysis. Most of the participant cared about their children. Nevertheless they implemented harsh communication style to their children.The parcitipant had a hope to be an ideal parent but did not have any idea what to do. Further research needed to be done and actions had to be implemented in order to create a healthy and fully functioning family in the slum area of Penjaringan
Group Counseling With Choice Theory To Increase Student Achievement Motivation: Konseling Kelompok Dengan Choice Theory Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa
The Student Achievement Motivation is an encouragement of student to obtain the learning achievement. The low of this motivation can affect the low of learning achievement. In consequence, it required an effort to improve this achievement motivation. The Group Counseling represent counseling that utilizing group to teach the client about how to think, plan, and behave effectively which is hypothesized could improve the student achievement motivation. This research aims to know the effectiveness of group counseling with choice thery to improve the student achievement motivation. This research is conducted by experimental design to 18 students with low learning achievement. The subjects were divided into two groups, that is, control and experimental group. In control group, researcher doesn't give the treatment. In experimental group, the researcher give the treatment in the form of group counseling with choice theory. Data analyzed for the result of student achievement tha conducted in pretest and posttest with covarian analysis. The result shows that there is different between control and experimental group with F(2,15) = 5,545; p = 0,033; p < 0,05; n2 = 0,27, so hypothesis that there is different between the student achievement motivation with low learning achievement based on participation in group counseling with choice theory is accepted. Thereby, the group counseling with choice theory treatment is proven to improve the student achievement with low learning motivation in experimental group. This treatment contribution to improve the student achievement motivation with low learning achievement is about 27%. So that this treatment could be conducted to solve the low learning achievement student
The Relationship Between Self-Regulation and Traffic Compliance in High School Students: Hubungan Antara Regulasi Diri dengan Kepatuhan Berlalu Lintas pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas
This study intends to determine the relationship between self-regulation and traffic compliance in class X students of SMA Hang Tuah 5 Sidoarjo. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research. The variables used in this study are self-regulation as the independent variable and traffic compliance as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at SMA Hang Tuah 5 Sidoarjo with a population of 286 students of class X. The sample in this study was 155 students who were taken using the Isaac and Micheal table method with an error rate of 5%. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with incidental sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study used a psychological scale with a Likert-scaled model, namely the self-regulation scale and the compliance scale. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between self-regulation and traffic compliance in class X SMA (High School) Hang Tuah 5 Sidoarjo. Data analysis used Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. The results of the study prove that the correlation value obtained is 0.262 which is a positive value and a significance of 0.001 < 0.05, which means that there is a relationship between Self-Regulation and Traffic Compliance for Hang Tuah 5 Sidoarjo High School students. The results of the R Square test obtained results of 0.068, which means the magnitude of the influence of the Self-Regulation variable on Traffic Compliance is 6.8%. Other results show that most students have a level of Self-Regulation in the moderate category of 41.2%, while the level of Traffic Compliance of students is mostly in the moderate category of 51.6%
The Relationship Between Peer Social Support and Self-Regulated Learning in Vocational High School Students: Hubungan Antara Dukungan Sosial Teman Sebaya dengan Self Regulated Learning pada Siswa di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan
This research was conducted because of a phenomenon that shows low self-regulated learning by showing behaviors such as lack of enthusiasm in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between peer social support and self-regulated learning in students at SMK Antarctica 2 Sidoarjo. The sampling technique in this research uses proportional stratified random sampling. The research technique is a correlational quantitative method. The research sample as many as 304 students obtained with a significance level of 5% of the total population of 2,470 students. The data collection method uses 2 psychological scales, namely the peer social support scale with a reliability of 0,901, and self-regulated learning scale with a reliability 0,901. The proposed hypothesis is that there is a significant positive relationship between peer social support and self-regulated learning. Analysis of the data with Correlation Product Moment Pearson. The result, r = 0.197, p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means the research hypothesis is accepted. The higher the peer social support, the higher the self-regulated learning. On the other hand, the lower the peer social support, the lower the self-regulated learning of the students of SMK Antartika 2 Sidoarjo. The contribution of peer social support to the occurrence of self-regulated learning is 14,6%
The Relationship Between Emotional Maturity and Aggressiveness in the Football Supporters Group in Sidoarjo: Hubungan Antara Kematangan Emosional dengan Agresivitas pada Kelompok Suporter Sepakbola di Sidoarjo
Recently, cases about the aggressiveness of football fans are increasingly being reported in the mass media. Emotional maturity is one of the factors that triggers the emergence of aggressiveness in football fans. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and aggressiveness in the football supporters group X in Gedangan sub-district. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach. In this study used a sample of 108 people obtained from sampling using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out using the aggressiveness scale and emotional maturity scale, which were compiled using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed by testing the hypothesis using the Pearson Correlation Product Moment with the help of the SPSS v.19 for windows program. The results showed a correlation coefficient of -.961 (significant. 0.000 <0.05). Thus, the research hypothesis is accepted, that there is a significant negative relationship between emotional maturity and aggressiveness in the football supporters group X in Gedangan sub-district. A person's high emotional maturity will have an impact on low aggressiveness. Conversely, a person's low emotional maturity will result in an increase in aggressiveness. In addition, it is known that half of all X football supporters in Gedangan sub-district (52.8%) have low emotional maturity. Meanwhile, in terms of aggressiveness, half of all X football supporters in Gedangan sub-district (54.6%) show high aggressiveness. . Meanwhile, the results of the coefficient of determination test show that the emotional maturity variable has an influence of 77.5% on the aggressive behavior variable

The purpose of this research is to learn how to use gadgets for students in the industrial era 4.0. The research method used is qualitative using indigenous psychology. The research subjects were students in the Yogyakarta Special Region who examined 70 female students. The results in this study were female students who used the highest category of communication by 25%, followed by 17% knowledge, 17% practical, 15% entertainment, 14% information, 5% archives, 4% business and 3% sharing
The Relationship Between Peer Attachment and Emotion Regulation in Grade 12 Students at School: Hubungan Antara Peer Attachment dengan Regulasi Emosi Pada Siswi Kelas 12 di Sekolah
According to research by Bowlby [1], where the support figure attachment physically and emotionally can affect the development of adaptive emotion regulation. The purpose of this study was to see whether there was a relationship between peer attachment and emotional regulation in class XII students at school X. This study used a quantitative research type with a sample of 114 students sitting in bench XII. The sampling technique used is quota sampling with non-probability sampling technique. The scale used by the author for data collection uses the peer attachment scale which was developed by the author himself through the dimensions of peer attachment and the emotion regulation scale which was developed through aspects of emotion regulation with a total of 80 questions in the form of a Likert scale. The results showed that there was no relationship between peer attachment and emotional regulation in class XII students with a correlation coefficient of r=0.072 Sig 0.444 > 0.05. Then the researchers conducted a different test on the peer attachment scale with emotion regulation for each major. The results of the different peer attachment test with a value of F = 5.668 and sig (0.001) > 0.05 where there are differences for each major
Facilitative Parenting Of Adolescent Self Disclosure : Pengasuhan Fasilitatif Orang Tua Terhadap Keterbukaan Diri Remaja
This study aims to find out empirically whether there is a relationship between facilitative parenting and adolescent self-disclosure. The hypothesis used is that there is a positive relationship between facilitative parenting and adolescent self-disclosure. Where the higher the level of concern, the higher the level of self-disclosure of adolescents when they are high and concern is low, the lower the self-disclosure of adolescents. The research subjects were students living with their parents, female and male and aged 15-18 years. The number of research subjects was 82 people, consisting of 35 women and 27 men. The adolescent self-disclosure scale that based on the theory of Buhrmester & Prager in Bauminger (2008). Parenting scale based on theory and Grolnick (2009). Method of data analysis using product moment correlation technique. The results of the analysis have a normal data distribution with a linear correlation. While the correlation coefficient between maternal parenting and adolescent self-disclosure to mothers is 0.494 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05) with an effective contribution of 0.244. While the father's self-disclosure analysis obtained the results of 0.727 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05) with an effective contribution of 0.52

The Indonesian Navy's Frog Troop Command Soldiers are special personnel designed to deal with difficult situations and special naval warfare missions. The dynamics of forming as a candidate for Kopaska personnel and the pressure of education at the Frog Troop Command School were so heavy that some students were unable to adapt well, stressed and lacked confidence, so they were unable to continue their education. Resilience is the ability of each individual to cope and adapt to problems that occur in life. Resilience is needed by students to be able to survive while carrying out education at the Frog Troop Command School. Several studies have found that resilience can be increased by using a Cognitive Behavior Therapy approach. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the CBT intervention on increasing resilience in the Frog Troop Command School students. The use of the CBT method is expected to be able to increase the resilience of students when under pressure during education at the Frog Troop Command School. Therefore, in order to increase the readiness of students to face the heavy educational pressures and stress that arises during their education at the Frog Troop Command School, it is necessary to know how the use of this CBT method and its effect on them. This therapy session intends to explore the use of the CBT method to control oneself in order to be able to face the pressures of education at the Frog Troop Command Schoo
Difficulties In Understanding The Science Learning Material as Related to Educational Psychology: Kesulitan dalam Memahami Materi Pelajaran IPA yang Dikaitkan dengan Psikologi Pendidikan
This study aims to discuss the difficulties in understanding science subject matter associated with educational psychology. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, namely the data obtained by the author is presented in the discussion. In obtaining data, the author uses literature in the form of books and journals. The results showed that there are various kinds of difficulties in understanding science subject matter and there are factors that can be linked to educational psychology and also how to overcome these difficulties
