วิทยานิพนธ์ (วศ.ม.) -- มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลพระนคร, 2564This thesis was an analysis of the significance of angle of inclination and the thickness of the armor plate on the penetration resistance of bullets on aluminum and stainless steel armor plates, determined by the finite element method. In this study, the information results obtained from actual firing of bulletproof armor and the finite element simulation according to NIJ 3 standards were compared to create a pattern of bulletproof and bulletproof armor using the SolidWorks program. The simulation model of the armor shooting was created by the Ansys/Explicit Dynamics program. The bullet material was 7.62 mm tungsten carbide (WC). There were three plate types used in the simulation were made of different bulletproof armor materials: 1) stainless steel SUS304 using for the plate thickness of 5, 6, 8, 10, 14, 20, 30, 40, 45, and 55 mm. 2) aluminum AL7075 using for the plate thicknesses of 6, 8, 10, and 20 mm. Additionally, 3) tungsten carbide using for the plate thicknesses of 6, 8, and 10 mm. Each of these plates had a width x length of 300 x 300 mm. The simulation models were divided into two types: Type 1, a simulation firing at one plate at a time. Type II, a simulation firing at two layered plates stacked together without any gaps between plates. The front and the back plates, made of stainless steel and aluminum, respectively, or tungsten carbide and stainless steel, respectively, were determined. The angles of firing at bulletproof armor were set at 0, 30, and 45 degrees. The output results were that in Type I, the stainless-steel plate with a thickness of 30 mm or more could resist the penetration of bullets. However, in Type II, 2 stacked layers of the armor plates using the front stainless plate with a thickness of only 20 mm and the back aluminum plate with a thickness of only 8 mm could provide the same constructive results as those of tungsten carbide and stainless steel plates for the front and back plates, with both thickness setting at 16 mm. All of them showed the resistance of the penetration to the bullets. More observation was that the increases in angles, as a result, enhanced more resistance of the bulletproof plates to bullet penetration.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

วิทยานิพนธ์ (วศ.ม.) -- มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลพระนคร, 2564The objectives of this research were to study the stress intensity in run-flat metal wheels and to design a new type of run-flat wheels that can be used in a small armored regular truck. Experimental methods and finite element methodologies were applied in the research process. The results obtained by comparing the strain values from the two methods demonstrated the consistency of both methods. The differences in stress values were in 10 -16 percentages, which could confirm the capability to analyze the stress distribution and deformation of run-flat by a finite element method. Proven processes and procedures in Pre-processing with SolidWorks Simulation were utilized to design run-flat wheels and a reverse engineering process was next used to create wheel rims and design the cross-sectional shape of new run-flat wheels made of composite materials which have an important reactant; a polymer group and aluminum oxide powder, added to enhance the strength. The designed parameters consisted of 1) the width of the run-flat wheels 2) the internal and external radius in which the internal radius depending on the size of the wheel rim and the outer radius which is a variable that determines the height of the run-flat wheels 3) the design of a lockset for tightening the run flat wheels to the wheel rims 4) materials used in the structure of the run-flat wheels and 5) tire pressure. The run-flat wheels designed and built into three-piece parts were designed for ease of wheel assembly or disassembly out of the wheel rims. By analyzing the intensity of stress accumulated in a conventional run-flat wheel (run-flat metal wheel), the stress generated in a run-flat wheel did not exceed the limit of the Yield stress and had a safety value between 3-5 times for new run flat wheels with a maximum stress of 26 MPa. Sizing and cross-sectional dimensions of run flat wheels thus resulted in stress which was in the range that could be withstood and acceptably employed. It was also possible to reduce the height of the flat wheels to make the rear flats lower and increase the width of the run flat wheels which would help distribute more weight to the wheel rims.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

วารสารวิชาการและวิจัย มทร.พระนคร, ปีที่ 16, ฉบับที่ 2 (ก.ค.-ธ.ค. 2565), หน้า 86-98The objectives of this research were the determination of sorption isotherms and the comparison of mathematical models to determine a suitable model in different temperature ranges for Khao Dawk Mali 105. This experiment was made by placing samples in containers which were contained saturated salt solutions to control the humidity in the ranges of 5.32 – 84.34 %RH and the hot air oven was used to provide temperature conditions at 25 and 70 oC. The samples were in containers until the mass of samples was constant so the equilibrium between the samples and the surrounding was reached and then the equilibrium moisture content was determined. The experiment found that for the same relative humidity in the air when the temperature increased, the equilibrium moisture content would decrease and for the same temperature in the air when the relative humidity increased, the equilibrium moisture content would increase. Furthermore, the comparison of models by analysis from R-Squared (R2) and Chi-Square (χ2) in each temperature found that Henderson model was a suitable model at 25 oC and Chung & Pfost was a suitable model at 70 oC.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

วารสารวิชาการและวิจัย มทร.พระนคร, ปีที่ 16, ฉบับที่ 2 (ก.ค.-ธ.ค. 2565), หน้า 141-156The amount of dissolved oxygen (DO) in aquaculture ponds is considered to be one of the most important aspects for the survival of fishes. The water in aquaculture ponds is stratified into distinct layers with different DO caused by differences in temperature. This temperature difference occurs when the surface layer of water, heated by the sun, becomes hotter than the lower water layer. Since the top layer is in contact with the air, it contains the most DO. On the other hand, the deepest layer is isolated from the air, it contains the lowest amount of DO. This study proposed an aeration system called a Solar Circulating-Water Aeration System (SCWAS). The SCWAS uses solar thermal energy to create a natural water circulation. In other words, it provides an upward current of water from the bottom to the pond surface and a downward current from the surface to the bottom. This circulation creates the movement of surface water and then increases the DO content of the surface water. This water circulation moves highly oxygenated surface water to the bottom layer, forcing low oxygen water from the bottom up to the surface where it can absorb oxygen. To evaluate this design concept, the numerical simulations of the system were conducted using ANSYS Fluent software. According to the simulation results, the SCWAS can provide the natural water circulation. It was found that a flow rate of 2.24 L/s is obtained when the ratio between the draft tube inlet (r), the draft tube outlet (R), the base (L) is 1: 2: 3. In addition, an SCWAS prototype was built and installed in a tilapia aquaculture system. A calibrated measuring system was installed to investigate the prototype performance. The experimental results indicate that the average DO values at the water surface and at the bottom of the pond increased by 1.45 and 1.40 times, respectively, compared with those of a pond without SCWAS. Economic analysis shows that the payback period of SCWAS is 4.58 years and its investment cost is 17.49% less than that of the paddle-wheel aerator.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

รายงานวิจัย -- มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลพระนคร, 2565This research aimed to study the causes of changes in water quality and compare the water quality in Khlong Bang Khen Mai when the seasons and sampling points are different. These factors may cause a change in water quality. A total 50 of water samples were collected from 5 sampling points, each point approximately 300 meters apart, for a total distance of 1.5 kilometers. They cover three seasons such as winter (October 2020 to February 2021), summer (March to May 2021), and rainy (June and July 2021). Three parameters of this research which consist of both the chemical and physical quality parameters are pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), and Electrical Conductivity (EC). The result shows that the average pH has ranged from 7.10 - 7.74, the dissolved oxygen (DO) was in 1.80 - 2.84 mg/L, and the electrical conductivity (EC) was in the range of 327 - 517 μs/cm. A two-way analysis of variance is a statistical method used to compare the water quality in Khlong Bang Khen Mai. The results indicate that the test differences between seasons affected the change in water quality in all parameters with a statistically significant level of 0.05. Afterward, the comparison of multiple comparisons by Scheffe's method showed that the pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) in the rainy season were significantly different from winter and summer at the level of 0.05. For the electrical conductivity (EC), there was significant differences between summer and winter at the 0.05 level.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho
