วิทยานิพนธ์ (วศ.ม.) -- มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลพระนคร, 2564The research aimed to study parameters affecting the stress intensity and stress distribution as well as the deformation of run-flat tires for passenger cars using the Finite element method. Both experimental methods and finite element methodologies were employed in the research process. The results were obtained by comparing the strain values from the two methods to demonstrate the consistency of both methods. The differences in their strain values were shown in the range of 10-16%, confirming the analyzing capability in this problem through the Finite element method. At the pre-processing step, both procedures and methods were proven with SolidWorks simulation program together with experimentation. These consequences were incorporated to assist the design of run-flat tires. Parameters affecting the stress intensity and stress distribution were evaluated to understand the effects on deformation of the new designed run-flat tires. The reverse engineering process was thus applied in the research process by scanning with FARO P06-05 and creating solid modeling 3D models with Geomagic program for SolidWorks. These could assist in designing the reverse- engineered tire pan. Three components were additionally designed to support the ease in assembling or removing run flat tires from the pan. Run flat tires were finally designed for passenger cars, typically the most common small cars. The weight of this car was limited at not more than 1,800 kg and the thickness of the wheel pan was 17 inches. The analysis information assumed that the vehicle's weight was distributed equally throughout all 4 wheels. The material used to make the run flat tires was a composite tire type that could withstand the pressure occurring from the weight of a passenger car. The results of the analysis demonstrated that the maximum stress on the run flat especially at the position where the run flat surface was in contact with the road was 30-45 MPa which depends on the location of contact with the road. Thus, it affected the stress distribution on the wheel pan. The parameters obtained from the study affecting the stress distribution and deformation were accounted to be such types of materials made for run flat tires, cross-sectional area, and width of run flat tires.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

RMUTP Research Journal, Vol. 16, No. 2, July-December 2022, pp.43-53This research aimed to study the optimum factors affecting the quality of gold plating process to enhance OTOP knife products of Ban Mai knife forgers village. This study focused on application of AISI 5160 steel and the 24k gold plating process. In the experiment, three samples of plating currents were observed; 10, 12, and 14 volts, each at 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 seconds, and 180 seconds, respectively. The study found that applying the electric currents in gold plating at 12 volts for 120 seconds gave the best results for the gold color and thickness, by giving the thickness of the gold surface at 33.82 micron and the color value between L*=88.72, a*=4.45 and b*=78.58. Moreover, the gold dispersion was consistent throughout the workpiece. From applying the electric currents in gold plating at 10 volts, it lessened the thickness of the gold plating which made the gold plating look uneven. From applying the electric currents in gold plating at 14 volts, it increased the thickness of the gold plating which resulted in a dull or burned finish from over-plating. In comparison, the cost of the knife before plating with gold costs only 30 baht per piece while the cost of the knife after plating with gold costs 99 baht per piece. In conclusion, the daily sales of a product increase from 50-60 items per day to 60-75 items per day, which also resulted in increased revenue and profitability from 1,500-1,800 baht per day to 5,940-7,425 baht per day on average.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

วารสารวิชาการและวิจัย มทร.พระนคร, ปีที่ 16, ฉบับที่ 2 (ก.ค.-ธ.ค. 2565), หน้า 99-112This research objective was to determine physical and aerodynamics properties of Khao Dawk Mali 105 paddy (Thai Jasmine paddy rice). The paddy sample in this test was prepared with different moisture contents in the range of 10-26%WB and air temperature in aerodynamics properties test was varied in the range of 50–100 OC. Test results were analyzed to determine the statistical mean difference by DMRT method (at P<0.05). It found that moisture content in paddy affects the difference of average length, width, and thickness of grain and results the difference of geometric mean diameter and degree of sphericity of paddy. An increase in paddy moisture results the increase of average bulk density and kernel density but it reduces the porosity of paddy. Moisture content in paddy affects the difference of terminal velocity. Moisture content in paddy and air temperature influenced the difference of average drag coefficient of paddy.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

วารสารวิชาการและวิจัย มทร.พระนคร, ปีที่ 16, ฉบับที่ 2 (ก.ค.-ธ.ค. 2565), หน้า 13-23This study was conducted to determine the effects of plant growth regulators on in vitro propagated plantlets and microrhizome inductions of Curcuma comosa Roxb. for an efficient development of plant regeneration. In vitro sprouted shoots (2 cm length) of C. comosa were incised in longitudinal section and subcultured on MS media supplemented with 3 mg/L BA for shoot multiplication and plant regeneration. Subsequently, the regenerated plants were transferred to MS medium with various concentrations of plant growth regulators; BA (1, 3, 5 mg/L), kinetin (1, 3, 5 mg/L) and TDZ (0.5, 1, 1.5 mg/L). The result showed that MS medium supplemented with 3 mg/L BA was the most effective in shoot induction with the significantly maximum average number of 2.11 shoot buds per responding explant. Moreover, MS medium supplemented with 1 mg/L BA produced the longest average of shoot bud explants (12.99 cm), while the basal MS medium induced the longest average of root multiplication (6.63 cm). Furthermore, microrhizome induction was produced under in vitro conditions derived young shoot buds upon transfer to MS medium containing various combinations of 1, 3 and 5 mg/L BA and 30, 60 and 90 g/L sucrose concentrations. The optimum combination in the induction of significantly highest average length of both stem (18.32 cm) and root (7.52 cm) multiplication was obtained on MS basal medium supplemented with 1 mg/L BA and 30 g/L sucrose for 4 weeks. Although microrhizome formation was not produced by the different amount of BA and sucrose in induction medium, starch accumulation was found at the base of the stem explants cultured on MS medium containing 60 and 90 g/L sucrose concentrations. Additionally, in vitro propagated C. comosa plantlets through microrhizome induction were grown under greenhouse conditions for 4 weeks and further developed into normal plants, resulting in successfully high survival rates of 66 – 100% in the cultivated C. comosa.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho

วารสารวิชาการและวิจัย มทร.พระนคร, ปีที่ 16, ฉบับที่ 1 (ม.ค.-มิ.ย 2565), หน้า 127-137Architectural fabrics were continuously developed on their unique performance. Architects and Engineers designed them for the application of important buildings around the world despite the symptom that Architectural fabric sizes from manufactures are smaller than the application sizes. Recently, although the well-known method used to weld Architectural fabrics to enlarge their size is the high frequency welding, there were some application issues. To mitigate those issues, the researcher created the hot air welding to replace the high frequency welding in consideration on the failing loads of welded seams which are variable factors of the failing loads to indicate the weld strength and it is crucial for the Architectural fabric application. This research presents the comparison of failing load of weld seams between the hot air welding and high frequency welding by the test of Taguchi's Orthogonal arrays L25 method. The test results demonstrated that Architectural fabrics welded by the hot air welding has the highest failing loads of wrap, equal to 95.38 kN/m and the highest failing loads of weft at 86.17 kN/m. Conversely, Architectural fabrics welded by the high frequency welding has the highest failing loads of wrap, equal to 101.37 kN/m and the highest failing loads of weft at 97.78 kN/m. Based on a forementioned results, there is no significant difference from both welding methods and thus concluded that the hot air welding could be used to replace the high frequency welding method.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho
