    No full text

Tinjauan Normatif Implementasi Justice Collaborator Sebagai Upaya Pengungkapan Fakta Hukum Tindak Pidana Pembunuhan Berencana Dalam Putusan Nomor: 796/Pid.B/2022/Pn.Jkt.Sel

Premeditated murder is a serious criminal offense that threatens the fundamental right to life and generates broad social implications, including fear and public unrest. The case examined in Decision Number 796/Pid.B/2022/PN.Jkt.Sel holds distinctive juridical and sociological relevance, particularly due to the involvement of law-enforcement officers as perpetrators and the crucial role of a cooperating offender (Justice Collaborator) in revealing the material truth. The presence of a Justice Collaborator introduces an important dialectic: while serving as an effective instrument in proving complex criminal cases, it simultaneously raises concerns regarding legal protection guarantees and sentencing consistency. This research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and case approaches. Primary legal sources include the Criminal Code (KUHP), the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), Law No. 31 of 2014 on Witness and Victim Protection, and Supreme Court Circular Letter No. 4 of 2011, analyzed alongside doctrinal and academic literature. Findings indicate that although the Justice Collaborator mechanism has obtained normative legitimacy, its regulation remains partial and lacks systematic codification in a dedicated statute. Judicial considerations in Decision Number 796/Pid.B/2022/PN.Jkt.Sel demonstrate that the status of a Justice Collaborator is treated as a mitigating factor due to their significant contribution to uncovering material truth. Thus, the application of the Justice Collaborator scheme in premeditated murder cases not only enhances the effectiveness of criminal justice but also underscores the urgency of establishing more comprehensive and equitable legal protection mechanisms

Analisis Sosiologi Hukum atas Penyalahgunaan Wewenang Tindak Pidana Korupsi dalam perspektif Anomie dan Realisme Hukum

The abuse of authority in corruption cases in Indonesia can be more comprehensively examined through the lens of the sociology of law, particularly by applying Anomie Theory and Legal Realism. Corruption, as an extraordinary crime, persists despite the relative adequacy of the formal legal system (law in the books). This study employs a socio-legal method with a qualitative descriptive approach to explore the interplay between social structures and law enforcement practices in power-based corruption. The findings reveal that Anomie Theory explains corruption as a deviant “innovation” arising from the gap between cultural goals such as wealth and social status and the limited institutional means to achieve them lawfully. Conversely, Legal Realism emphasizes law in action, showing that judicial decisions and enforcement practices are often influenced by extra-legal factors such as political power, economic interests, and institutional pressure. This dynamic erodes the corrective function of formal law and undermines substantive justice. Although procedural justice may be achieved, public trust in the legal system continues to deteriorate, perpetuating a cycle of social anomie. The study concludes that effective anti-corruption efforts require not merely normative or positivist reforms, but also structural transformation in law enforcement and the reconstruction of social norms underpinning the moral legitimacy of law

Competition among agrotourism destinations requires managers to maintain and improve service quality to meet visitors’ expectations. This study aims to analyze visitor satisfaction at Jagad Farm Grape Agrotourism using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods. Fourteen attributes covering product quality, service, facilities, and promotion were examined through visitor questionnaires. The results show a CSI value of 87.75%, categorized as “very satisfied,” indicating that most visitor expectations were met. The IPA results identified grape product quality, pre-visit promotion, and ease of understanding services as top priorities for improvement. Meanwhile, attributes such as product suitability, fair pricing, strategic location, and friendly service should be maintained. These findings recommend that management focus on enhancing priority attributes and maintaining those with good performance to ensure consistently high and sustainable visitor satisfaction

The Benefits, Effectiveness, and Risks of ShopeePay: Shaping Consumer Interest

    No full text
This study examines how perceived benefits, system effectiveness, and perceived risks shape consumer interest in using ShopeePay as a digital payment platform in Indonesia. As digital payment adoption accelerates, understanding the key determinants of user preference becomes increasingly important for service providers. Data were collected from 185 active ShopeePay users through a structured question-naire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that system effectiveness and perceived risks significantly influence consumer interest, whereas perceived benefits do not show a meaningful impact. These results suggest that users prioritize operational performance, transaction reliability, and security considerations over general convenience when evaluating digital payment plat-forms. This study contributes to the business and consumer behavior literature by offering empirical insights into the factors that drive e-wallet usage. Practical implications highlight the importance for fin-tech providers to strengthen service efficiency, enhance security features, and communicate system reliability to improve user engagement and competitive positioning

Transactional Sex, Digitalization and Administration in Selected Tertiary Institutions, Southwest Nigeria

This study examines the complex intersection between transactional sex, digitalization, and institutional administration in selected tertiary institutions in Southwest Nigeria. While e-administration initiatives are increasingly adopted to enhance service delivery and academic transparency, unintended consequences have surfaced, notably the rise in transactional sexual relationships. These relationships, often involving the exchange of sex for material benefits or academic favors, are now frequently facilitated by digital platforms such as social media and mobile banking, complicating oversight and ethical governance in higher education. Grounded in Bronfenbrenner’s Bio-ecological Systems Theory and Technological Determinism Theory, the study provides a theoretical lens for understanding how multi-layered social environments and advancing digital technologies interact to shape student behaviors, power dynamics, and exploitative practices within educational settings. Using a qualitative research design, in-depth interviews were conducted with 30 students (25 female, 5 male) across five universities. Findings revealed six major themes: students’ perceptions of transactional sex, its root causes, associated health risks, proposed remedies, perceptions of digitalization, and its challenges. Transactional sex emerged as a survival strategy driven by poverty, peer influence, social norms, and digital anonymity. Reported implications included gender-based violence, unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV/AIDS), and academic decline. At the same time, participants acknowledged digital learning’s flexibility and administrative efficiency but noted concerns regarding digital distractions, infrastructure deficits, and weakened interpersonal relationships. The study concludes that while digitalization promotes institutional efficiency, it also inadvertently fosters exploitative behaviors that threaten student welfare and institutional integrity. It recommends behavior change campaigns targeting students and parents, university-based health education programs, and poverty alleviation initiatives, such as scholarships, vocational training, and regulatory safeguards, to promote ethical conduct, protect vulnerable groups, and strengthen academic integrity
