Violence against students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is a phenomenon that requires serious attention, considering that Islamic boarding schools are religious-based educational institutions that are supposed to uphold moral values, ethics, and the protection of human rights. This study aims to analyze the role of advocacy and legal aid in providing legal protection for students who are victims of violence in Islamic boarding schools. The research method used is normative juridical research with a legislative approach and a sociological approach, through literature study and field data collection in the form of interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that advocacy and legal aid play a crucial role in ensuring the fulfillment of the rights of students as victims, both in the reporting process, legal assistance, and psychological recovery. However, their implementation still faces various obstacles, including a lack of legal understanding in Islamic boarding schools, the existence of strong power relations, and stigma against victims. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the role of legal aid institutions, increase legal awareness, and synergy between Islamic boarding schools, law enforcement officials, and the community to realize effective and equitable legal protection for students who are victims of violence

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze and compare the institutional structure and basic principles of the Criminal Justice System (CJS) in Indonesia and South Korea. This study examines how the adaptation of Civil Law principles shapes the unique dynamics of the criminal justice process in both countries. Indonesia and South Korea are both rooted in the Civil Law tradition that upholds the principles of legality and codification. This study uses a normative legal method with a comparative approach through a literature review to analyze relevant legislation and literature. The results of the study show significant differences in implementation: Indonesia maintains an integrated criminal justice system model with a sectoral separation of the functions of investigators (the police) and prosecutors (the attorney general's office). In contrast, South Korea shows a more dynamic evolution through the centralization of the authority of prosecutors as leaders of investigations and the application of the limited principle of opportunity (Opportunitätsprinzip). This adaptation, including the participatory jury system as a foreign element, aims to improve efficiency, public accountability, and substantive justice-particularly in victim protection. In conclusion, South Korea’s strategy offers valuable insights for Indonesia to strengthen inter-agency integration, improve victim rights protection, and examine the potential flexibility in the principle of legality for the sake of a more equitable and effective CJS/SPP

In general, every livestock needs feed in the form of a mixture of livestock feed. The livestock feed fermentation process is currently phenomenal because it provides benefits that are felt by farmers. Maybe many people know the fermentation as a process of making supplement drinks only. It turns out not, the fermentation process can be used as an alternative to making high-quality livestock feed. In addition to being very simple to make, making feed by fermentation also saves time and money, because farmers are no longer busy with herding or grazing. This horizontal mixer machine has a capacity of 100 kg / Batch. In making this machine includes manufacturing processes such as: welding, grinding, drilling, bending, cutting torch or gas cutting, and non-permanent joints, namely nut and bolt joints. The components of the machine are: frame, tube, double screw, axle shaft, bossing, gear box, housing bearing, block bearing, pulley, v-belt, and electric motor. And then assembled and put together into a machine. From the above explanation, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. Horizontal mixer machine with a tube diameter of 60 cm and a width of 90 cm, is capable of mixing 100 kg/batch of animal feed. 2. Horizontal mixer machine using a double screw produces a more homogeneous mixture compared to using the manual method

Experimental Study: Acceptance of Student Moral Developing Through Games Education with Expectation Confirmation Theory

    Get PDF
Students' moral development is an important aspect of education, especially in the digital era, where media plays a significant role in the formation of moral values. Video games as interactive media have become a potential tool for developing ethical and moral decision-making abilities. Video games offer a simulated environment that allows students to confront complex moral dilemmas, which have previously been shown to hone critical thinking skills. This study explores the acceptance of video games as a tool for developing students' moral reasoning, using the Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model (D&M). Involving 150 students, the study measured constructs such as perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), information quality (IQ), system quality (SQ), user satisfaction (US), intention to use (IU), and user behavior (UB). Results from SEM analysis showed that while perceived usefulness and ease of use positively influenced intentions to use, actual user behavior did not always align with these intentions after confirmation. However, user satisfaction remained a strong predictor of continued engagement. This emphasize the need for better alignment between user expectations and experiences. These findings highlight the potential of video games in moral education and suggest avenues for improving their design and implementation to enhance educational outcome

Precision and Accuracy of Ultrasonic and Infrared Laser ToF IoT Sensors

    Get PDF
Non-contact distance measurement using sensors allows measurements when conventional tools reach their limits. These measurements can be integrated into the Internet of Things (IoT) through IoT-enabled microcontrollers, but sensor accuracy and precision must first be verified. This study compares two sensors—infrared time-of-flight and ultrasonic—in terms of accuracy and precision. An object reflecting sound and electromagnetic waves was placed at set distances, and sensor readings were compared to ruler measurements. The sensors showed good precision, with the infrared sensor outperforming the ultrasonic one. However, both lacked the accuracy compared to actual distances. The infrared sensor was consistently more accurate, requiring less correction to align with true distances. While the ultrasonic sensor performed better at short distances, its accuracy dropped significantly beyond 40 cm. Overall, the infrared sensor proved superior in accuracy. These findings highlight the potential for integrating such sensors into standalone or IoT-connected systems for reliable measurements

    Get PDF
Assessment of the structure of existing buildings is necessary, especially for multi-story buildings in risk category IV located in high seismicity areas such as Yogyakarta. If there are indications of weaknesses, immediate actions such as retrofitting and rehabilitation can be taken as disaster mitigation efforts. This study examines the seismic behavior and performance of buildings using the Nonlinear Time History Analysis method with modified real earthquake recordings through spectral matching processes to meet the target spectra. Deaggregation analysis shows that fault mechanism earthquakes with a magnitude range of 6.6-6.8 and a distance of 30-40 km are the most dangerous and potentially occurring. The selection of earthquake recordings based on deaggregation analysis results in five identical ground motions: Kobe, Imperial Valley, Friuli, and Northridge. Nonlinear time history analysis using these five ground motions, after spectral matching, shows that the largest base shear force and displacement along the x-axis of the building are influenced by the Imperial Valley earthquake, while along the y-axis by the Kobe earthquake. The performance of the structure against the Imperial Valley earthquake along the x-axis is at the Damage Control level, while the Kobe earthquake along the y-axis is at the Immediate Occupancy level. Plastic hinge analysis results indicate that most structural elements remain in good condition, with only a small potential for damage in the range of 2-5%. Shear walls have effectively functioned as energy dissipators, preventing damage to other structural elements, especially columns, and preventing the soft story effect. The Strong Column Weak Beam damage hierarchy pattern has been successfully achieved.
