This article aims to analyze the role of candidates for legislative members of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) of Medan City in increasing the mass base in the 2024 General Election. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The primary data sources come from PKS legislative candidates, party members, and the people of Medan City. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively using role theory in organizations, according to Soerjono Soekanto, to describe the strategies used by legislative candidates to attract support. The study results show that PKS legislative candidates who actively interact directly with the community through gathering and holding social activities in mosques have increased the Party's mass base. This approach allows legislative candidates to understand the community's needs and aspirations better, which improves trust and support for PKS in the 2024 elections. This study concludes that active roles and social relationship-based strategies in the field are key factors in winning community support at the local level.

Development of a Prototype System for Monitoring and Controlling Cat Care Based on the Internet of Things
In today's fast-paced and stressful daily life, many people experience fatigue and stress, necessitating solutions to alleviate these feelings. Taking care of pets, especially cats, can have a positive impact on human mental health. However, caring for cats requires time and effort, particularly in monitoring their health and the environmental conditions of their living space. This study aims to design and develop a prototype of a cat care monitoring and control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), enabling real-time monitoring and automated control of various aspects, including cat health, body temperature, and feeding. The system integrates multiple components, including ESP-32, MLX90614 GY-906 Sensor, Ultrasonic Sensor, DHT11 Sensor, RTC DS1302, Servo Motor, Relay, LCD 16x2, 5V Water Pump, Exhaust Fan, and the Telegram application as a monitoring interface. The study's findings indicate that air-conditioned rooms provide the most stable and comfortable temperature and humidity conditions for both pets and humans. Additionally, the DHT11 sensor is more suitable for indoor humidity measurement, whereas the DTH sensor is more optimal for outdoor environments. The ultrasonic sensor proves to be practical for distance measurement, while the load cell delivers precise results for weight measurement requiring high accuracy and stability. This research offers an innovative solution to enhance cat monitoring and care, contributing to an overall improvement in pet quality of life
Effective communication in Audits: A linguistic Perspective
This study investigates the dynamics of auditor-client communication to establish a balance between technical and non-technical language, communication skills, and satisfaction levels. The research adopts a quantitative analysis in combination to explore how these factors impact communication effectiveness. The study's respondents are 60 auditors, including expert auditors from the BPKP Indonesian Financial and Development Supervisory Agency and P2UPD auditors from the Ministry of Home Affairs, who were chosen for their relevant expertise. The study used a structured questionnaire to examine the frequency and context of technical and non-technical language usage, communication skills, and satisfaction levels. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, a statistical method to assess how independent variables influence communication outcomes. Technical language, such as "materiality thresholds" and "variance analysis," helps clarify complex concepts but can obstruct client comprehension when used excessively. Non-technical language, such as general terms like "acceptable margin of error," improves clients' comprehension and engagement in communication, particularly for clients who are not technically savvy. Auditors' communication skills, especially listening, speaking, and interpersonal interaction, were the strongest predictors of effective communication. Communication satisfaction also played a crucial role in building trust and smoothing interactions. This study concluded that balancing technical and non-technical language, honing communication skills, and prioritizing satisfaction are essential for enhancing audit outcomes. However, this research focuses on public-sector auditors in Indonesia, which may limit generalizability to other sectors. Recommendations include training auditors in adaptive communication strategies and implementing feedback mechanisms to sharpen their approach. These results contribute to the literature by combining linguistic and audit practice perspectives to provide actionable insights into better communication strategies, improving audit processes, and informing policy improvements
The Political Effects of the Russian–Ukrainian War on International Trade
The Russian-Ukrainian war has profoundly impacted international Trade, reshaping global economic dynamics. This study explores the political effects of the conflict, focusing on economic sanctions, trade realignments, and disrupted supply chains. As significant energy and essential commodities exporters, Russia and Ukraine's roles in global Trade have been pivotal. Hostilities have caused inflation, food insecurity, and a reevaluation of global economic dependencies. Anchored in the Geoeconomic Power Theory, the study uses historical and content analysis to examine documented data. Key findings reveal disruptions in supply chains, rising commodity prices, changes in trade relationships, and significant impacts on energy and agricultural markets. Sanctions have reconfigured trade partnerships, fostered covert economies, and influenced long-term trade policies, including shifts toward regionalization, economic blocs, and alternative financial systems. The study underscores the strategic use of economic tools in geopolitics and recommends real-time trade monitoring systems to track and respond to global trade fluctuations caused by the war, ensuring businesses adapt to emerging trends effectively

Key success factors include inter-organizational communication, local government support, and community participation. The research recommends improved institutional coordination, resource capacity building, and more comprehensive socialization strategies. The study's findings provide a new conceptual framework for understanding land policy implementation in Indonesia and an empirical basis for developing more effective and equitable agrarian reform
Evaluating Internal Democratic Process in Political Parties: A Case Study of PDI-P in the Reform Era
This research aims to explain the internal democratic process of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). The novelty contribution of this research is that it focuses on the internal democracy of political parties from the point of view of the process. This type of research is qualitative and uses a case study approach. This research finds that the recruitment of leadership parties does not apply the principles of democracy properly. This process has no room for competition because it is too elite-dominated. Then, the decision-making mechanism is centered on the general Chairman, so the involvement of cadres is minimal. Furthermore, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle has a conflict resolution mechanism with a party court. However, the institution needs to be more independent to resolve conflicts within the Party. In the principle of democracy, all are equal before the law. Thus, the internal democracy of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle is undergoing changes whose impact can jeopardize the survival of the Party itself in the long run because it is vulnerable to political clashes. Then, this research argues that political parties with strong and charismatic leadership are vulnerable to the failure of their internal democratic processes. This has resulted in the emergence of pseudo-powers in political parties and threatens their solidity in the long run
