Happiness at work : brief update from positive psychology
No full textResumen: El presente artículo teórico presenta una actualización bibliográfica acerca de la felicidad en el trabajo desde la perspectiva de la psicología positiva. En el mismo se realiza un compendio de las principales variables antecedentes y consecuentes del constructo, así como de algunos mecanismos propuestos para incrementarla al interior de las organizaciones. Se discuten las dificultades teóricas en torno al constructo felicidad laboral y se realizan recomendaciones para futuras investigaciones.Abstract: The present theoretical article presents a bibliographical update about happiness at work from the perspective of positive psychology. A summary of main antecedent and consequent variables of the construct was carried out, as well as the revision of proposed mechanisms to increase happines at work within organizations. The theoretical difficulties around the construct are discussed and recommendations for future investigations are made
Construyendo identidad : el rol de la revista El Hogar en la constitución de valores nacionales en Argentina durante la Gran Guerra (1915- 1918)
No full textResumen: Este trabajo se propone indagar en el discurso que desarrolló la revista El hogar en los años de la Primera Guerra Mundial. La revista El Hogar se erigió en un elemento destacadísimo dentro del novedoso campo de publicaciones de principios del siglo XX, porque combinó los rasgos típicos de semanario ilustrado, con contenidos literarios, artísticos e históricos, destinados a construir la identidad nacional, rasgo que se acentuó en el transcurso de la Gran Guerra. En el transcurso de la contienda, El Hogar se transformó en un amplio espacio de opinión sobre los acontecimientos que sacudían al mundo. Por lo tanto, este trabajo se propone explorar cómo se articulan en la revista los discursos que apuntan a definir y consolidar la identidad nacional –en un país compuesto mayoritariamente por inmigrantes- en la pluma de destacados intelectuales argentinos, con los discursos de los intelectuales europeos que explican la guerra como una derivación de la degradación que producen en las sociedades los procesos migratorios.Abstract: This work aims to investigate the discourse developed by the magazine El hogar in time of the First World War. The magazine El Hogar was an outstanding element in the novel field of publications of the early twentieth century, because it combined the typical features of an illustrated weekly, with literary, artistic and historical content, designed to build national identity. Therefore, this work aims to explore how the discourses that aim to define and consolidate national identity -in a country composed mostly of immigrants- in the pen of prominent Argentine intellectuals, with the speeches of European intellectuals, are articulated in the magazine. No full textAbstract: Within the framework of the research project on the recycling of plastic waste from 500 ml bottles of water, soft drinks and flavored waters with the objective of using them as materials and / or elements incorporated into construction processes as a viable alternative that allows contribute to improve the internal environmental quality of housing at social risk in an economic and sustainable way. The possibility of managing and giving use to the quantity of plastic bottles circulating in our faculties which currently end up in sanitary landfills without utility was tested. In order to carry out the technology transfer the project was linked to CEFEDER, where with the development of professional practices in solidarity -PPSo- it was agreed to collect data from surveys conducted by students from the EETPI No. 2076 Private Technical Education School located in the "San Francisquito" neighborhood with its subsequent analysis and interpretation. The task developed focused on services, infrastructure and quality of life conditions of neighborhood residents, adopting a study radius. From the analysis of the data obtained and linking to the research object, it was found the possibility of reproducing and improving a device provided by the students of the institution to crush bottles for daily consumer drinks whose material is plastic and then be introduced in construction processes as cladding elements in exterior walls to improve characteristics of their materiality. These improvements result in better thermal and hydraulic insulation. The analysis of the situation allowed us to find a possible solution for the plastic waste of our faculty, of the School, of the Neighborhood and to provide the most needy sectors with a solution to improve the inner wellbeing of their habitats with a low cost and appropriate techniques users of the practice. To himself with the report of the ODSA, elevated by the Argentine Catholic University, denominated "multidimensional poverty", those data were crossed with those obtained by the students in their surveys, showing the same characteristics in terms of habitat conditions and quality of life in other provinces and territories of large cities. As active members of the UCA community, being observers and actors committed to their vision and mission we see ourselves in the duty to manage our waste and provide technical solutions to the most vulnerable sectors. The scope of this research was focused on the field of survey and analysis of similar experiences, research on materials that are marketed and construction systems that have now incorporated recycled plastics as raw materials or inputs. The results that they have obtained for the purpose of establishing comparative plans are taken into account. We progressed in deepening theoretical-methodological content by designing a feasible proposal to execute, which should be consolidated into a prototype that allows us to test its performance verifying that the theoretical statement is fulfilled in the real event or that it should be adjusted on the practice concrete
Infancias y comensalidad : hábitos y prácticas en relación a las comidas
No full textEn el presente estudio, a partir de la medición 2017 de la Encuesta de la Deuda Social Argentina (EDSA), se ofrece un diagnóstico de los hábitos y prácticas de los niños/as y sus familias en relación a las comidas. Las principales comidas que se realizan en familias, el espacio escolar y comunitario como alternativos al familiar en la vivienda, y las principales desigualdades sociales asociadas. Asimismo, se indaga en prácticas como el mencionado "picoteo" y en las actividades que niños/as y familias desarrollan mientras realizan las comidas. Por último, se realiza una aproximación a las tácticas de formación en hábitos alimentarios que se implementan en los hogares..
El rol de intérprete de la Malinche en la Masacre de Cholula : ¿traidora o traicionada?
No full textResumen: Este ensayo considera el impacto del involucramiento de la Malinche como intérprete y mediadora de culturas en la Batalla de Cholula durante la Conquista de América. En el imaginario mexicano, su participación en la comunicación entre el colonizador y el colonizado constituye la génesis de la descripción que se ha hecho de ella durante los últimos cinco siglos: Malinche, la traidora. Por otra parte, las escritoras chicanas contemporáneas la presentan como Malinche, la víctima. En este ensayo se analizan las visiones opuestas sobre su participación y se explora la posibilidad de una nueva representación que se acerque a contemplar un punto de vista equilibrado.Abstract: This paper explores the impact of the involvement of Malinche as an interpreter and mediator between cultures in the Massacre of Cholula during the Conquest of America. In the Mexican imaginary, her role as a communicator between the colonizer and the colonized is the origin of the way she has been portrayed over the last five centuries: Malinche, the traitor. On the other hand, contemporary Chicana writers describe her as Malinche, the victim. This paper analyzes opposite views regarding her participation and explores the possibility of a new representation with the purpose of reaching a balanced approach

Old go-betwens in Sendebar : between exemplary discourse and oriental tradition
No full textResumen: Existe consenso en considerar a Sendebar o Libro de los engaños y asayamientos de las mujeres, libro enviado a traducir del árabe por el infante don Fadrique en 1253, como un exponente del pensamiento misógino bajomedieval, en especial por el número de relatos que ilustran el accionar de mujeres adúlteras, engañadoras y traicioneras. Dentro de este grupo se encuentran dos apólogos que tienen como protagonistas a viejas alcahuetas que inducen a mujeres fieles al adulterio con tretas de diversos tipos: Canicula y Pallium, narrados por el quinto y el sexto privado respectivamente. Teniendo en cuenta que se trata de historias que tienen antecedentes en colecciones orientales como Las mil y una noches y las Ciento y una noches, se llevará a cabo un análisis de la figura de la anciana mediadora y de su accionar dentro del relato correspondiente en función de la resignificación del personaje acaecida como consecuencia del pasaje intercultural. El cotejo con las versiones orientales echará luz sobre las particularidades del texto hispánico, en especial en lo tocante a su pretendido tono misógino y a su inserción dentro del discurso ejemplar.Abstract: There is a consensus in considering Sendebar or Libro de los engaños y asayamientos de las mujeres —a book whose translation from the Arabic was commissioned by the prince don Fadrique in 1253— as an exponent of late medieval misogynous thinking, especially because it contains a large amount of stories that illustrate the deeds of adulterous, deceitful and treacherous women. Within this group of tales, we find two exempla whose protagonists are two old alcahuetas, old ladies who induce faithful women into adultery, using different kinds of tricks: Canicula and Pallium, narrated by the fitfth and the sixth advisers respectively. Bearing in mind that these tales have antecedents in oriental collections such as One Thousand and One Nights and One Hundred and One Nights, we will develop an analysis of the figure of the old procuress and her actions within each tale, taking into account, in particular, the character’s resignification as a consequence of the intercultural passage. The comparison with the oriental versions will clarify the particularities of the Hispanic text, especially with regard to its alleged misogynist tone and its insertion within the exemplary genre
Trotaconventos' masks : rhetoric, emotions, and mediation in the Libro de buen amor
No full textResumen: En este artículo se presenta un análisis de los engaños discursivos de que se sirve Trotaconventos para tratar de convencer a sus interlocutoras de que correspondan a los requerimientos amorosos del arcipreste. Como aquí veremos, todos estos engaños se apoyan, de una u otra forma, en la caracterización que hace la alcahueta de sí misma en términos morales, sirviéndose de una serie de imágenes y exempla que, al pasar por el crisol de su lengua, adquieren nuevas connotaciones y significados. Para apoyar mi lectura, utilizaré algunos conceptos desarrollados a la luz de ciertos descubrimientos recientes hechos en el campo de las neurociencias a propósito de los orígenes y la naturaleza de la raza humana, y de la forma como éstos influyen en la formación de nuestras ideas morales. Esos conceptos me permitirán explicar las razones por las cuales, a pesar de todas las advertencias y precauciones que el Libro contiene, quienes se exponen al contacto con sus “fablares fermosos” y los de sus personajes no pueden evitar seguir corriendo un alto riesgo de acabar siendo víctimas de sus engaños.Abstract: This article presents an analysis of the deceitful discourse used by Trotaconventos to try to convince her listeners to accept the Archpriest’s amorous requests. As we will see here, the point of departure of this discourse is the characterization the go-between makes of herself in moral terms. She achieves this successful self-portrait using a series of images and exempla whose meanings and connotations she modifies at will, to best serve her deceitful goals. To support my argument I will use some concepts taken from a set of recent discoveries made in the field of the neurosciences that point towards a more accurate and scientific description of the origins and nature of our own human race, and the way these have given shape to our moral ideas. Those concepts will help me explain the reasons why, despite all the Book’s warnings and admonishments, whoever gets exposed to its “fablares fermosos” (beautiful talk) and that of its characters cannot avoid running a high risk of falling prey of their traps
Cholesterol modulates acetylcholine receptor diffusion by tuning confinement sojourns and nanocluster stability
No full textAbstract: Translational motion of neurotransmitter receptors is key for determining receptor number at the synapse and hence, synaptic efficacy. We combine live-cell STORM superresolution microscopy of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) with single-particle tracking, mean-squared displacement (MSD), turning angle, ergodicity, and clustering analyses to characterize the lateral motion of individual molecules and their collective behaviour. nAChR diffusion is highly heterogeneous: subdiffusive, Brownian and, less frequently, superdiffusive. At the single-track level, free walks are transiently interrupted by ms-long confinement sojourns occurring in nanodomains of ~36 nm radius. Cholesterol modulates the time and the area spent in confinement. Turning angle analysis reveals anticorrelated steps with time-lag dependence, in good agreement with the permeable fence model. At the ensemble level, nanocluster assembly occurs in second-long bursts separated by periods of cluster disassembly. Thus, millisecond-long confinement sojourns and second-long reversible nanoclustering with similar cholesterol sensitivities affect all trajectories; the proportion of the two regimes determines the resulting macroscopic motional mode and breadth of heterogeneity in the ensemble population.Fil: Mosqueira, Alejo. The effects of cholesterol on the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor : an update
No full textAbstract: The pentameric ligand-gated ion channels (pLGIC) constitute a superfamily of neurotransmitter receptors characterized by decoding the neurotransmitter signal into a selective and rapid ion permeation process in the target cell. The lipid environment in which these receptor proteins are embedded plays an important role in modulating their topography and function. This occurs at multiple levels, including receptor trafficking, sorting, distribution and residence lifetime at the cell surface, internalization, and recycling. Cholesterol is a major player in these equilibria, via non-selective physical mechanisms operating on the bulk bilayer and through direct binding to the receptor proteins, the latter resulting in more specific influences on function. This review discusses these subjects using the crosstalk between the paradigm pLGIC, the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, and its lipid milieu, to illustrate the influence of cholesterol on receptor structural and functional properties. The mutual interaction of the two partners is discussed at various levels of organization, from the more general influences on the lipid phase to the more intimate relationship of the sterol with the annular and nonannular sites on the receptor.Fil: Barrantes, Francisco J.
